281  Economy / Goods / Re: [SELL] High-value domain name - get it for 0.5 BTC & some luck (rules inside)! on: April 08, 2012, 03:14:43 PM
Not trying to be a dick but the first guy is right, it isn't worth that much. Those appraisal sites are not reliable at all, especially the free ones.
PS - this is also in the wrong section, there is one just for auctions

Even then, valuate.com values it at 290 dollars.
Much, much less that 1250.

284  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 3TB Seagate Drive, 36BTC including shipping on: April 07, 2012, 06:06:14 PM
This isn't in Computer Hardware why?
Andrew has had some problems navigating the forums lately; please excuse him on my behalf.

With all due respect, problems navigating the forums? Are you saying he can't read English? If he can click one subforum he can just as easily click another.
It was sarcasm.

286  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: 200+ Bitcoin Domain Names for Sale [ends in 2 weeks] on: April 07, 2012, 05:56:19 PM
...or you just stop squatting domains and let normal people get decent names...
287  Economy / Goods / Re: [SELL] Domain name Ethercash.com on: April 07, 2012, 10:00:55 AM
Good-sounding, easy-to-remember domain names typically fetch nice prices on the secondary market.
I know firsthand, having bought and sold a couple of domain names in the last few years.
It's just supply & demand...

For recent examples of domain name sales, check out the NameBIO database (http://namebio.com)
(See the sale price of domain names containing 'cash', between 7 and 10 characters, ending with '.com')
..I know that. I'm not stupid.
It sounds like a crappy name, and it is not easy for me to remember.
288  Economy / Goods / Re: [SELL] Domain name Ethercash.com on: April 07, 2012, 09:37:55 AM
Whats so special about it to warrant it a value of 250BTC?

I bring gifts! Just thought it might be useful to any satoshi-stalkers :3
This is my first useful post in over 150 posts! Cheesy

Here are the Unix timestamps of all of Satoshi's posts, if you want to analyze them:
https://bitcointalk.org/satoshitimes.txt

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75704.0;topicseen

Who happens to own this address? My first guess was Deepbit.
http://blockchain.info/address/1VayNert3x1KzbpzMGt2qdqrAThiRovi8

Code:
No. Transactions223139

Unspent Inputs22
Total Received8093038.68313512 BTC

Final Balance1059.44522289 BTC

In the thread they think its deepbit, but it may be satoshi.
If we can link the sent to/recieved from addresses to a deposit based site that doesn't dedicate you a wallet(like bitmit or glbse)we can contact that site and see the account the deposited/withdrew to/from that address.
Site operators that use systems like bitmit and glbse, are any of the addresses in that wallets history yours?

Hurrah for being useful!

Is there an archive of the old forum?
Have you looked at all his posts to see if he accidently mentioned anything/used slang from a particular country?
You can download the entire archive of forum posts (not including restricted forums) from the file that theymos posted recently. Look at some of the recent posts in Meta to find that thread.

Additionally, in another thread somewhere (not sure where), theymos also posted all of Satoshi's posts in the restricted sections in one big quote.
I mean the forum before this new one Smiley
Look at satoshis first post, it mentions an old forum.
Thanks, ill go look for that quote Cheesy
Theymos if you are reading, link pwez?

296  Economy / Lending / Re: Want to invest / lend 80BTC to the right cause. on: April 06, 2012, 01:23:38 AM
Will lend to someone who does not deal with any religious, socialist, or altruistic organization.
Only will lend to atheists and pro free market capitalism. Please describe how you plan to use the loan. You will have to return at interest.

Who cares about religion? Why be racist(religion-ist?)?
Surely it doesn't matter provided they have a good buisness plan and you will profit.

If you read his other posts, he seems to have an almost irrational fear of anything pertaining to religion, harmful or not. I wouldn't bother trying to argue about it.
Wow. Thanks for the tip.

Haha this make sense, although it does kind of stink since I would like to PM a member here, but I suppose as a new member, rather not get trolled randomly.
There's someone on this forum called Matthew N. Wright, and he seems to have got past the trolling firewall Cheesy
299  Economy / Speculation / Re: hello again !! !! on: April 04, 2012, 10:11:24 PM
its at 4.93, once we hit 5.10 its gonna shoot up I reckon with people buying thinking that it will keep going.
then ppl are 2 days late
Wait, did we hit 5 2 days ago without me noticing?
And, what do you think will happen to the price once block reward halves?
