I think Taiwan is just trying to be careful here because bitcoin is completely anonymous and they like monitoring all the online transactions going on in their country.
Remember the Know Your Customer [KYC] policy?

Without money, most of us would starve to death. So yes, money is needed to exist on this planet but it won't take us to heaven.

I have 0.00btc at present. I want to work to earn some, probably from signature campaigns when I manage to rise in rank.

Most people spam here because they want to earn from sig campaigns. Earning is not bad in itself, it's just the low quality posts that newbies usually make at first that neccesitates the restriction. As they get used to the system and learn from others, they will make more quality posts and everybody will be happy. So for now, the six minutes restriction is serving a purpose.

I will take a while before they get back on their feet. They've lost a lot of money to hackers already.

The internet is cheap and readily available so cash does not have much of an advantage over btc. I have always known that bitcoins have a bright future anyway.

is that thread enough to proofen that this account "magnific61" was branch of al qaeda?
This dude is brainwashed and he is a salafi with pro Al Qaeda view of things. He is a salafi, his mean, he is in contrast with Quran teaching. This single message is enough to check his position on facts. He is not exactly in contrast with the teachings of the quran; Mohammed initiated Jihad, remember?

Bitcoin is private to a point, but that privacy is mostly lost through the internet. Yes it seems we did get it wrong.
Unless your computer got hacked into, or you have a virus there, bitcoin is as private as it can be especially if you are using a paper wallet.

Looking for information and tips on crypto exchange arbitrage .. Is there a site or software that compares different exchanges order books?
I do not think there is. One has to monitor the exchange sites individually to see when it's best to do arbitrage trading but one has to be trading with at least 1 btc to make some profit (if any) above all the fees.

Everybody seems to assume that the halving will cause the price of Bitcoin to rise. I assume that they believe that miners will sell fewer coins on the open market. If miners sell directly to investors, then the drop may not have an immediate impact on sales. Also, some coins may be retained for investment by the miners. So my question is - how many mined coins are sold on the open market?
There is no easy way of knowing how many mined coins are in the open market. I guess the miners can find that out for you but it will take ages and a lot of headache. I think miners sell only when they need money and keep the rest till prices rise. So most of their btc is in cold storage most times.
