281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoin WDC | Coin of the Future | Instant Transactions | Launched on: May 20, 2013, 11:28:10 AM
Well... I had a couple of WDC that I mined to try out, and I tried to send it to mcxnow. However, when I sent it, the client stopped responding and closed out before completing. When I reopned, it shows the transaction as having been sent, but after 15 min now it still has 0/4 confirmations. The address was obviously correct as well. Anyone have any clue why this is?

Nevermind, went through after about an 45 min lol
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LTC-Global] Buy-A-Hash, a simple, no-frills LTC/Altcoin Mining Bond on: May 20, 2013, 03:09:52 AM
One way it could be handled is to set the price at 0.3 LTC and simply use the excess currency to increase the total dividend performance above 0.5 KHs per mining bond, therefore rewarding early adopters with more hashing power.

I did present a motion about releasing more shares, but at a higher price - 0.33 LTC. I may look at slowly inching the price up as we get closer to selling out.

I was also thinking if you'd ever increase the hashing power per share. That would be an excellent balance as well if you'd prefer to do it that way Smiley
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LTC-Global] Buy-A-Hash, a simple, no-frills LTC/Altcoin Mining Bond on: May 18, 2013, 09:51:56 PM
Just invested some Benny, always wanted more hashpower but it's gotten too hot in my basement and I'd need to install a new circuit to handle more.

One suggestion though... if you release more shares as you expand, I think it'd be fair to release them at around the average market price of your shares rather than a set $1 (since the price of LTC can go up). The people already holding are your early investors so I don't see why you should reward latecomers with cheaper prices Tongue
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - LTC pool RBPPS = 2% fee, only 15 confirmations !!! on: May 17, 2013, 11:49:09 AM
We have started a Feathercoin pool !

Payouts will be enabled soon, after extensive tests.

Important:

1. Pool works only in stratum mode.
2. You can use any LTC miner supporting stratum.
3. On our website choose worker type FTC. Point worker to coinotron.com, port 3337.
4. Depending on worker type you can have PPS or RBPPS rewards.
5. Fees: RBPPS = 2%, PPS = 5%

cgminer example:

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3337 -u workername -p password --scrypt

Glad to hear the good news! I've used you guys from LTC, FRC and TRC, now I'll be using you for FTC. Keep up the good work!
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I support Firecoin2 & Update on the state of the coin on: May 17, 2013, 03:43:53 AM
You do realize it had the exact same release as Feathercoin with the exact same source code and yet it's somehow better than it?
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Critical Update] Feathercoin 0.6.4 - Hard Fork at block 33,000 on: May 17, 2013, 01:36:23 AM
I've had it updated since it came out and haven't had a problem since the upgrade. I don't know why it's acting up for you guys  Huh
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mincoin rises 50% today while feathercoin and chinacoin crash on: May 16, 2013, 03:36:00 PM
The only reason its price doesn't correlate with other alts on exchanges is cause it isn't on BTC-e
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC-FTC-CNC-NMC To Paypal Service *Coming Soon* on: May 10, 2013, 04:10:09 AM

289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FeatherCoin - New Litecoin based coin on: May 09, 2013, 03:04:13 AM
Well said dreamwatcher! I'm glad some high-standing members can appreciate the work that he's doing and the goal he's trying to achieve with Feathercoin. I appreciate the support you've been giving it and the work you've donated towards helping it become better.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FeatherCoin - New Litecoin based coin on: May 09, 2013, 02:59:48 AM
Seems like this retarget block size might be the death of feathercoin

network hashrate have dropped around 80% since hype and still going down...
Given the current value of FTC vs LTC im only making around 0,25BTC with ftc vs 0.6BTC with ltc... with about 6000khash/s

Any words from the feathercoin dev or has he also abandoned his project !!!

FTC need some serious life support as its about to die after 8 days...wow that must be a record !

He already said that he quit his job, he's probably vacationing somewhere or waiting for his gox withdrawal..

lol. is there any truth to that?

OMG...i think this might have been a text book execution of PUMP & DUMP !!

Its nice to have been part of the process and too see the clear lines of how to preform such an operation...so many times in life the theory is always clouded by shades of grey

This well however was like a blow job....good start...then a frenzy and BOOM all over (her face lol..sorry it was there so i had to take it )

Oh well i though there might have been at least a good 6 months to balance the ltc diff curve..oh well back to the slave pits for me Cheesy

yep I always thought this coin required a fair stretch to jump on board and risk hard earned money ... but its best illustrated here:

http://feathercoin.info
or
http://feathercoin.net
or here
http://feathercoin.org

 Wink

I hope everyone enjoyed their quick money and got out in time if not ..
well learn some stretches and learn to enjoy the backwards pain of a clone coin crash

Ooo, that amiesplayground (currently 6th down) one isn't bad lol

On the “get merchants to accept Feathercoin” topic:
I'm working on a little adult comics shop (finally got the Bitpay Zen Cart plugin to work) and want to accept Feathercoins, among other alt coins, also. The problem is to match up customers with payments. A service that takes care of that, maybe kind of a online wallet with API, would be great. A Zen Cart plugin would be da hit, at least for me Smiley. Maybe something like a paypal light (no exchange capabilities needed) that simply ties payments to the email address of the customer.

Kind of stuff I want to hear Smiley Anyways I think some people are trying to work on that, don't know how long before one does come out though. Although a little more tedious, if you would like to start accepting it before an API comes out for it, you can do it by the transaction ID. If you have them right click on their transaction and click "Show transaction ID" you can match it up with the ones you received.

297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mincoin rises 50% today while feathercoin and chinacoin crash on: May 07, 2013, 03:08:31 AM
Check List of Alt-coins sticky by xorxor before doing anything. I almost invested in this, but then I read that some guy admitted that he had over 5% of all coins, so no thanks

There's only 1 million in circulation so far and this coin has the lowest creation rate of any coin - this isn't something to be concerned about.

I think he means 5% of all coins that will ever be created :p
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin slowing up? on: May 06, 2013, 11:22:06 PM
Feathercoin can one day be worth whatever you want it to be worth, the only thing is that people can't only be mining and speculating, in order for any of these coins to have real value you have to build an actual ecosystem using it.  Like it or not, the real reason bitcoins are actually valuable is that people actually use them to purchase real things, whether it's reddit gold or shady shit.  If you want feathercoins to be valuable you have to go and actually build the ecosystem for them.  Build a marketplace that uses FTC for actual purchases and then there'll actually be real demand and purpose to it.  I don't own nearly enough FTC for this to be worth it for me but if you took a big stake in it why not make a store that lets you buy shit from Amazon with feathercoins or some shit?

Actually quite a lot of people, both those with little of it and a lot of it, are contributing into the ecosystem and trying to help it grow. Obviously, there won't be a noticeable difference over the course of only a few days though.
