Can someone explain ICONOMI to me? I understand it's kinda like a hedge fund for crypto but what does the coin (ICN) have to do with it?

So I read all the facts carefully and I believe I understand is mostly now. The ICN coins is shares in the ICONOMI product its self. So when dividends are paid out (in Ethereum) it's being paid based on how the funds are doing. Buying the ICN coin is different then buying into the ICONOMI.PERFORMANCE which is a diversified fund that is in it's self not a crypto but an actual share that will be traded on real exchanges? So by buying ICN now I am buying into the possibility ICONOMI will succeed? And later once ICONOMI.PERFORMANCE launches would it be more profitable to hold my ICN coin or to invest in the fund it's self? How is my understanding? The ICN coins is shares in the ICONOMI product its self. No, ICNs are shares of the ICONOMI company itself and where public offered back at their ICO back in September. ICONOMI includes ICNX, ICNP funds and OFM-Platform. ICN holders will receive dividends in form of ETH if ICONOMI makes profit from on of these. Dividends will be paid out weekly. To receive dividends you need to hold at least 42 ICNs and hold the private key for that wallet. So when dividends are paid out (in Ethereum) it's being paid based on how the funds are doing. You are right about that ICNP (ICONOMI Performance Fund) it's a diversified fund but this fund is all about investing in new crypto ICOs. Half of the money which was raised during ICO (~5.7Million) are lying in it and they will invest some of their/our money in different ICOs for example Golem which they invested 5000 ETH in. ATM you can't buy in into ICNP at least they run out of money. ICNP is not likely to be traded on exchanges because you can't invest in it. ICNX is an index fund where you will be able to buy in once OFM.-Platform is launched. It's like and index fund in the old economy. Low risk - hopefully not low rewarded  So by buying ICN now I am buying into the possibility ICONOMI will succeed? Yes, that's right. IMO it's most likely that they will succeed (if they don't mess things up) because they aren't reinventing the wheel. If you have a look at fund managers in the old economy mostly have funds worth more than 100 millions of dollars. So if you say ICONOMI is trying to bring this money to crypto you can easily get a feeling where this could be going to be. So if BTC goes down, the market cap will decrease due to bitcoin loses value in correlation to the USD. So could you please explain to me what you are trying to say? I don't get it. He said that ICN price is lowest compared to other coins on ticker on EthTrader. ICN price is irrelevant to compare it with other coins. You should compare whole marketcap. What if there would be 10 times less icns. Then price of one icn would be 10 times higher. And that's why comparing prices of coins is useless. If btc goes down then icn/btc ratio will go up (well it should go, but people then exit positions). That's why we really need icn/usd pair on kraken because btc's ups and downs f*** icn/usd price. Is it my impression or is the situation becoming favorable for ICONOMI? Good since that announce the launch of the fund, this fall of Bitcoin can lead many investors to ICONOMI! The connection with fiat will help a lot! We will have 2, 3 days of many expectations!

ICN always rise even when bitcoin somehow is going down. This is why most of my btc is spent on investing ICN, i have a lot of trust to the team that they can make it to the top 10 on coinmarketcap. Some days ago, when the price of the btc up, we can see that the price of ICN also climbed up to 40k, it means that ICN is a coin does not go down when the BTC is rised.  |

I think is wrong to be trying to bully those people selling their ICN tokens everyone has their entry ans exit strategy, I know someone that said long time ago that he is going to sell his Bitcoin when the price hit $1000 this was when the price was around $500. And I'm sure he is alright financially now because his holding is enough

My guess is Tuesday or Wednesday of next week since those are the preferred launch days of ICONOMI devs. Dumpers will be rekt when the launch announcement is made. At least there should be an announcement this week but my guess is also Tuesday or Wednesday. |

 Buy wall is back! How far do you think it can go today? Dunno my crystal ball lacks lately. I think it will be based on their announcement. FOMO will hit in most likely if they will release it within the next few days/weeks. Let us be patient, HODL and accumulate as much as you can afford before it takes off. Poloniex has had 27,500 btc volume ($24 million) trading volume in the last 24 HOURS! Imagine how much trading volume they have in 1 year and how much profit they make from fees! I will be happy with just 10% of that trading volume on OFM in the first year...

That's roughly 30*24M = $720M in trading volume per month. Let's assume ICONOMI OFM ramps up to capture 10% of the Polo trading traffic per month at some time in 2017. At that point, OFM would be handling 2750 BTC in trade per day for a total of around 30 * 2.4M = $72M in trades per month. Hey, that sounds like a reasonable goal.... Poloniex fees are detailed at https://poloniex.com/fees/. If ICONOMI charges a competitive 0.20% fee, they would then be earning roughly speaking 0.002 * 72M = $145K per month in OFM fees, or around $1.75M per year. As the official owners of the OFM, holders of ICN tokens receive all fees from the OFM platform. Thus in this example 100M ICN tokens would split $1.75M per year, or around 0.0175 USD per ICN token per year. These tokens are currently for sale at Kraken for around 0.3000 USD per ICN token. So ICN TOKENS PURCHASED ON KRAKEN TODAY OFFER A 0.0175 / 0.3000 = 5.8% ANNUAL RETURN ON INVESTMENT JUST FROM OFM FEES FOR EVERY 10% OF POLONIEX TRADE TRAFFIC CAPTURED DURING 2017.
IF OFM EVER GETS AS BIG AS POLO, ICN TOKEN HOLDERS GET 0.175 USD PER YEAR PER ICN TOKEN JUST FROM OFM FEES. THIS WOULD BE A 58% ANNUAL RETURN AT CURRENT KRAKEN ICN PRICES.

+1 It's okay for $5000 Bitcoin is catching its breath before resuming the climb. If bitcoin reach such a high price, it could mean the death for many ALTcoins for everyone will be swapping them for BTC. In such a situation what would happen to ICN? Dunno what happens my cristal ball lacks lately. But I know exactly what I would do, buy more ICN!Buy more and more or grab it through the trading method. The best time for grab altcoin.
