2801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Greed Comes First in Trading, the Result is Bankruptcy on: January 11, 2022, 09:40:14 PM
there are so many novice traders who are still very difficult to control their emotions so they are not greedy, including myself. In my opinion it is a very difficult thing to control in trading because basically humans always want more than what they have achieved, and of course when they are controlled by greed, many mistakes will occur which will lead to bankruptcy.
I think that what can change that is my own experience, where I have experienced it before I traded full of greed after everything was destroyed I realized and started trading again without greed because I know what will happen again if I trade without being able to control myself for greed.
Well, our own experience will definitely teach us lessons that will motivate us not to do it again. But for those who can't get rid of their emotions and still trade with greed, i think they will only realize the consequence of their action if they will end up trading with huge losses. Yes, its hard to control our own emotions and hard not to be greedy, but if you can't be able to do that, then trading won't definitely work on you even how many years of practice.
Most of us would really learn up things when we do experience unfortunate events and this is where people do learn but its not necessary if you could able to avoid it on the first place with just reading up

others experiences  which is a must i must say because you would really able to avoid things when you are aware but there are people who dont really care at all on making out those simple efforts.

Greed would really be always putting you on big problems because having this kind of behavior will not always that recommended.

Isn't it a bit too late?! They should've created this when they made the announcement of acceptance of buying Bitcoin in their platform. That way it will be not just be an explosion but like a nuke dropped in the cryptocurrency field.

Its still pretty early for all of these companies to move around crypto space and create whatever opportunity that they deem profitable for their companies. Back when they started to add the new feature to buy and sell crypto, they probably didnt expect that it will blown up and the fact that this new idea is still in development phase means that they are not fully ready yet
They were totally hesitating on touching it up due to some legal issues or in with regulation since they do know that government is totally opposing crypto adoption thats why hindrance of these common

big companies could really be seen but they had made out their decision on touching or recognizing it and now that they have seen a possible benefit which can add up revenue then its expected that they

would really be doing such step for them to do so and creating their own coin is the one but do they really think that people here on crypto market would see it as a good add up?
I dont think so.
2803  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitVest, The worst casino I have ever seen on: January 10, 2022, 11:22:38 PM
I hope they are not in any way affiliated with the large company called, BidVest with more than 132 870 employees.  Roll Eyes  I know the site name is spelled slightly different (BitVest) ..but it's pronunciation is almost the same.

The real BidVest site even have a Bank called Bidvest Bank ....so they are doing very well in Africa. THE BIDVEST GROUP LIMITED is an international investment holding company listed on the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa in the Industrial – Support Service sector, with subsidiaries listed on the London, Australian and Luxembourg stock exchanges.
Dont know on why you had attached out a Bank into a gambling site or company? Slight changes and similarity on how it pronounced doesnt automatically means that they are related.

So its a non relevant thing you had posted on here.It has nothing to do with this issue and i boggles up my mind on why their affiliated or something.

So better not to make out some speculative approach if you dont able to back it up with some facts.

Only bitvest could confirm if they are affiliated or not, but I think it's pretty obvious that they are not as we are linking bitvest to a big company with over 100k employees which bitvest might not even have at less than 1% of that number. Stop the speculation, that doesn't make sense at all to be honest.

Also, OP call it the worst casino, how can they be linked to a good business?

BTW, are we talking about this company (https://www.bidvest.co.za/)?
Yeah, hes been preferring to https://www.bidvestbank.co.za/ which i dont really see any connections too thats why i had said earlier that it totally irrelevant on minding if theyre connected.

and on just looking on the industry that they are engaging on then i dont see that Bidvestbank would really create some casino which isnt the same name of their company?

Doesnt really make sense right.?  Cheesy
2804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How often do you change your indicators? on: January 10, 2022, 10:14:41 PM
I don't change indicators cause I don't use any, raw price action with drawing tools - Liquidity void's and S/R.
S/R is already indicator or something you draw because if you do speak out with naked trades then you would definitely using nothing since you could able to point out where are those resistances and support on just looking at on the chart but of course this one talks about  those skilled and experienced people because not all would really able to do so.

Changing indicators is situational because there are indicators which is only good for current market condition which means there would be specific indicators would
really be relevant to use and not the other one earlier.

So its a decision to make on such various conditions.

2806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's never too late to start on: January 10, 2022, 08:33:34 PM
Slightly tells me that I know bitcoin from this forum around June 2017,
But I haven't kept up with the crypto world for a long time due to my busy business and boredom with the price of BTC in 2019.
So I almost forgot all my assets until there was one. the thing I think is my stupidity, I omitted my Trezor which still contained around 9 ETH at the time I bought ETH around $ 700 in mid 2018, and ETH keeps dropping so I ignore it.
Long story short I want to start from scratch I want to ask the seniors who are here.
I want to start trading again. Could you please give me some advice so that I don't go through things like a few years ago.
Trading not only requires skill but also confidence in what you are doing. My advice is that in the future you don't take crypto lightly because bitcoin and eth have become high-value investment assets. btw, 8 eth is currently quite high value, if you can find it again then you can start trading again with good capital.
Top altcoins in the market is considerable for you to held up for long term but of course it wont really make out some guarantees that you could really make out money with thats why you should really

able to bare with the risk involve because engaging with crypto doesnt automatically means that you would make out some money or profits in assured manner. Its never late to start out

but there are people who had been thinking off with this way just because they are hoping that they should have entered way more earlier but well we do know that we cant
turn back time.
2807  Economy / Gambling / Re: Very immoral marketing strategy. on: January 09, 2022, 10:55:57 PM
I don't think those fake videos are any different than the fake advertisements you see on TV or the internet when casinos and bet shops are being advertised. The image they are trying to convey is one of success, wealth, and class. Businessmen in suits drinking martinis and champagne as they are surrounded with beautiful women who cheer with them in their victories. When I enter a betting shop in my region, all I see are dark rooms filled with cigarette smoke, middle aged men cursing and swearing because they were so close to a win.

The difference is, when you watch a casino advertisement, you know it is a casino promotional video. As for streamers, they pretend to be real players who play for real money and win real money. However, the truth is quite different, and the people who watch it don't know it and think that winning at the casino is so easy. When they try themselves, the reality turns out to be very brutal in most cases.
Your common sense would tell you that it is indeed a promotional video but you do get yourself blinded whenever that streamer or influencer do make out some big profits without even realizing that the
money that they are using and won is given back into the casino unless if there is some sort of agreement on having some % of those wins to influencers but its not really that common.

If you do really make yourself not to be aware and just directly been amazed or fascinated on how these guys making profits on making those big bets then you would likely
ending up on depositing.

their mistake? No, its yours because you havent forced up to make out deposit and when you do lost then theres no one would be blamed of.
2808  Economy / Economics / Re: LEGO Sets Are Better Investments than Stocks, Bonds or Even Gold on: January 09, 2022, 10:20:46 PM
Both my brother and I were raised with Lego. Especially my brother, had quite a few old ones, which were scattered around in boxes, missing pieces or left uncompleted. It was till once I cleaned the whole storage, finding many old instruction manuals and rebuilt most of them. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I got older and stopped messing around with them, it's a pity to see them left to their fate.

I'm guessing that a few of them are possibly worth a decent amount of money, especially if they are old and have their instructions. I'd love to rebuild some of them at some point, but I am not living with my parents anymore, so I don't see it happening any time soon.
We might get eager again on collecting those pieces and trying to be complete as much as possible since we know that it could possibly ending up with have some value with those lego sets.

For now if we cant possibly see those stuffs due to various scenarios then lets just move on and thinking up those good old days had been part of our lives even though we cant benefit out from it

but its part of our childhood days without minding about those values or worth but rather the fun that it gives when we are still young.
2809  Economy / Gambling / Re: VR online casinos? on: January 09, 2022, 09:44:15 PM
Not that really expensive for those 1st world countries that are always first in these technologies. Well, during the releasing time, they would certainly go up with the price as it is new in the eyes of every consumer.

But eventually, when the demand gets lower, price will also become lower. I've seen about the news of Disney that they'll launch also a metaverse/vr world without the use of any gadget as requirement, this could also be applicable into VR casinos soon.
Hmm, you're right @jossiel, unfortunately the country where I live these types of products are extremely expensive, and they become totally unfeasible to purchase at their launch.

I believe VR technology will be successful soon, places, video games, poker, casinos and other relevant subjects and games!
The metaverse is on it and for sure VR is tied up on it.

Well, we can avail those gadgets if needed if we really want to be part of it. We can make a way for buying that like saving some portion of our salary.

It's like actually a gift that we can save for ourselves only if you think that it's going to be fun when you actually have it. And before purchasing, it's before to see the long term use of it.
Saving up something for some another new experience but still dealing with gambling? I dont see for it to be worth but rather a double spending or expenses yet  you are eager on

saving for VR then you do still ending up on doing gambling which i dont see for it to be worth or something that do really benefits you out but if you do really go for real experience

then its your choice to make because if you do really look on the better side of things then you wouldnt really see this as a good call.
2810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If we follow the 2013/2015 patern, the price will reach a new ATH only in 2027 on: January 08, 2022, 11:48:51 PM
In Dec 2013 : ATH 1200$

then it declined and stayed roughfly between 200$ and 300$ for 22 months

If it was to follow the same patern again :

Now-Oct 2023 : 11 000 - 17 000$

And we would need to wait until 2027 to have a new ATH

Idea came from : Peter Schiff

I think a more likely scenario is that the Fed stops tightening not long before it will start in 2022, or don't tight much, and BTC raises >100K$ with 18 months from now if Big governments don't ban it.
Having no bans from government  does signify that we would reach up new all time highs but if this one happens then it would really be likely giving out those kind of situations on where price could really

increase because we cant really deny that negative news does give out bad impact in overall market and if we dont experience it for a while or for years then people might have been thinking that it is already been considered which would really be boosting up that buying factor.

Following into the same pattern? I dont think so because past isnt  guaranteed to happen in the future because if we do consider on several factors like the level of demand
then you couldnt really make out some comparison or making them the same.

They are using blockchain to protect our information, <...>

Could you please elaborate on that? How exactly do they use Blockchain to protect our information?

One of examples of shit post and into those people who dont even know on what Blockchain is.. He should at least have some time on researching on whats Blockchain and look back on what he said

and for sure he would changed up those words and telling that he's too dumb on making this comment.  Cool
Blockchain has nothing to do with those KYC information yet it is stored up on a database which could neither get compromised or exploit
out and even how trustable a platform is, it wouldnt still give out 100% assurance about safety of those infos.
2812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unsettling, for those who don't have it on: January 08, 2022, 09:53:54 PM
This is the reason why it has been growing so much all these years. More number of people are becoming aware of it and realizing it's potential.
I second that, I also think the benefit of being your own bank has been underrated by quite a lot of people in the past, but due to inflation and dictatorial policies by many governments, quite a lot of individuals and organizations as well are now harnessing the benefits of being your own bank in the Bitcoin network, and also using the network as a hedge to fiat Inflation and other whatnots, I expect the number of Bitcoin users to steadily continue to grow as people begin to discover its benefits till we get to mass adoption.
People would make out some discrimination once they dont even have the slightest idea on whats it all about thats why they could say up those things even though it wasnt right but for those who

are aware on what it is will surely be laughing out since those people doesnt really have any idea and those criticisms might turn out to be a praise later on if they do just tend to look on the brighter side
or simply make out some research first before make out those bad comments.

You would really be saying wrong things even if you dont have much idea on what it is all about.
2813  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: January 08, 2022, 08:46:08 PM
Rollbit boss seems going far away from each and every player in his own way as he has already crossed $1 billion mark and now he is continuing with same pace.On second one our sponsored player @Ayezee  is at $423,257,302 which is still around half a million dollar and we might see it this Target also reaching but see there is huge gap between both of them.

Check here for more information :
Leaderboard
$1B wager is something that is really rare to see on an online casino which is really impressive to look at and only a few could able to attain to have these kind of whale players.Doesnt really matter

if 1st and 2nd would have that half million gap as long those people would able to get those rank prizes then that what matter most as a 2nd spot or rank player then i wouldnt bother on reaching out
or beating out the peak.LOL

About on that 1M lottery prize then this do really somewhat make some boost up on players in the casino. We do all hope with that kind of luck on hitting the pot.
2814  Economy / Economics / Re: No where is actually safe on: January 08, 2022, 07:47:42 PM
Nowhere is safe for investing because of the rule it says no pain no gain and no risk no reward of you cannot handle the risk of losing your money and you do not have a proper investment plan then you cannot get gain any profit over your money. Some risks are reasonable and you can somehow handle the risk for example whenever you buy bitcoins you can set your targets and set a stop-loss for your funds buy some others are not reasonable, for example when you don't know the project and what it does then you participate on the ICO with closed eyes hoping for high returns which is more like gambling.

The r in crypto stands for risk. You should be willing to take risks because there's no one who ever became rich without any sort of risks. Ask Elon and SpaceX. Now back to Bitcoin. Apart from the network being hacked and Satoshi dumping their stash then it's a relatively safe investment. In time more liquidity will reduce the volatility. But if the network ever gets compromised by quantum computing  then the value will go to zero for sure and probably be replaced by something else similar in the future.
Nothing do last forever and we know about that thing which it is something inevitable to happen specially if quantum computing is already there on which this could really affect lots of things that we do have now and of course there would be some adaptation which simply means that it would bloom out new projects which is immune into this.

Speaking of technicality then most of us arent really aware of that stuff thats why learning up with even the basics could give you at least some good idea
on whats happening around.

Deal according into your capacity and secure off profits while you still can.

2816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep calm and buy the dip. on: January 08, 2022, 12:00:07 AM
I know most the user here especially newbie are already in panic due to the current retest on support of BTC to 40K level. I just want to share this TA from my trusted TA analyst to give some hope to those user who's already losing faith to Bitcoin.

Actually, for those who are panicking, no need for such TA's, and all they need to understand is, BTC is not that doomed as being bearish already happened many times, and what's next after? BTC is always on an uptrend and it's just a matter of when it will happen again.

I like to see these people panicking so that they will realize that there's nothing in BTC as always going upwards. Rather than panic, they need to do consider buying at this point and don't ask the question later on if it's time to buy once the bull run commences.
They would regret soon if they do saw some recovery once again.  Cool

For now they are currently whining and panicking on whats happening in the market now without even realizing that these times are the best times for them to enter or buyback but cant really deny
nor ignore the emotion inside even myself do still have those feelings too.

Buy the dip? Something easy to say than done but if you do trust up your investment much then this wont really be a bothering some.
2817  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! on: January 07, 2022, 11:09:39 PM
Happy new year Bitcointalkers!

May 2022 be everything you hope it to be, and may all your predictions be 100% accurate! At Futuur we are planning on more markets, more features, and more crowd-powered forecasts. Hope to see you there!
Looking forward for that prosperous new year with Futuur. I’m not expecting that much but I know with this site , you are really capable to have more good updates. Hoping as well to at least have a good marketing campaign this year, that could be a big help as well. Happy New Year Futuur team and bettors! Smiley
That could be good for us if they have more campaign for this year since they started on this forum as well and most probably, they’ll succeed more once they become more active. Futuur is a great site to predict on many category, I’m waiting as well for more updates from them since they are quiet not active last year hopefully they have more surprises for us this year.
^ Signature campaign, contest, and promotion was a great idea to boost your traffic audience and I think, this is what they need at this moment for their gambling casino improvement. As I have noticed, a gambling casino that has run a campaign here is successfully satisfied with the result but yes, it will not have an effect on the spot, it will take time maybe a month or months. Predicting concepts is always good, it brings more excitement while waiting for the result of your prediction.

aside from adding more markets, i do agree that they need to be active also with contests and promotions  because so far, that's what they are lacking here. but great to hear from futuur this year. hopefully, they will show more presence here. because the more active they are here, i guess, more players will be encouraged to play on their site.
hope to see contests that will engage bettors on the site. because right now, the leaderboard is still for the players who are using ooms.

Yeah they need to have that things to get more traffics but I think what they are lacking us the budget since if they have enough money to use for that area then for sure we see them running various campaign. But let see what they can offer to us since as futuur representative maybe they have something to cook in this year.
They had mentioned out that there's something on previous year (2021) but it turns out that they do only add up bitcointalk based kind of line or market which it didnt really spark out some interest
into gamblers around.

How they would spend or allocate budget for marketing and promotions if they dont get much profits? Unless if they would put up some budget from their pockets but
as a businesss then they should really be doing such thing but that wont really be a guarantee.
2818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Have we opened the bear season? on: January 07, 2022, 09:38:41 PM
Yes, good luck, I do not hesitate to say that we have definitely passed the bear period. As of now and for 20 days, everything is red!! Do you think this may have happened?
Nothing had precisely predicted that we would really be on this situation but seeing market as a whole and you've been here for a while then you would treat these things
or movements as typical market movement which it isnt surprising.

Turning from bullish to bearish is something a normal market condition. We could make out some technical analysis  but that wont be an assurance for you
to rely on but as part of analysis then it would be considerable.

Try to sustain and be wise on taking out actions instead on minding about possible next movements.
2819  Economy / Gambling / Re: This is why I love this forum...and we should make it more powerful on: January 07, 2022, 08:36:54 PM
The site's reputation is questionable if they only release the funds because you posted in this forum.

They should keep their TOS and implement it no matter what, but if it's not clear, they should satisfy the needs of the gamblers as this forum is huge and could affect their entire reputation. Congrats OP for your win, don't be tired of sharing your stories here as the community is very active to help.

I am also very glad that the Bitcointalk community helped in this situation. This proves that casinos have to take into account the opinion of our community.
Of course, I hope that nothing like this will ever happen to me or anyone else in the future, but it's good to know that everyone can count on the Bitcointalk community.
The power of the forum is not something to ignore, after all while there are many communities that discuss about cryptocurrencies in social media at the end of the day this is the oldest community and the one with the most renowned members.

So if a casino garners a bad reputation in the forum it will quickly spread to other circles where the reputation of casinos are discussed, and then players will begin to stay away from the casino in an effort to protect themselves, it is because of this that casinos are interested on keeping a clean reputation in the forum as if they fail to do so the drop in their revenue would be considerable.
Main place on where most crypto traffic which it would really be always relevant  and would be ideal on making out exposure and the biggest crypto community online yet this had been the origin

which it would be understandable on whats its reputation at the moment. The community does really help on each other and when there are some shady services or platforms out there then it would

be mainly discuss and if theres some complaints and some accusations then this community are mainly the ones who do make out decisions whether its trusted or not.
2820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc hodlers vs short time traders on: January 07, 2022, 07:36:28 PM
In some cases, short term holders are most likely to be the lucky ones than those diamond hands holders, assuming you are able to time the market and know when to sell and when to buy back, you will be much happier with your position as a holder instead of holding all through but this is not always the case so it all depends on individual and their ability to determine the right time to act.
Generally speaking or to be honest then we could really say that short term traders are the ones who do make out profits more than into those who have been holding exclude into those who bought

on early times then its a considerable one but for those who had recently bought out and then tend to hold for long term then it would really be a test of patience on which most people do really fail on.

Whether you are holder or not then it wont matter because this is really mattering on someones preference in their view towards their investment so this one would really vary.
