2801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A team of Indians created Bitcoin on: April 27, 2019, 08:02:16 AM

I would have any problem if indeed it is quite true that a team of people coming from India was the one responsible in offering Bitcoin to the whole world...in this case Indians all over the world will be rejoicing and be really so proud of. I am not an Indian, though. I could not understand why there is really this continuing obsession as to who or what can the real Satoshi Nakamoto is. The man (or the group) had already decided to remain unknown so let's respect that and just wait for the time when the real guy will show up, and he can prove it by moving his huge Bitcoin hoard.
2802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Loves Crypto? North Korea, That’s Who on: April 27, 2019, 07:56:15 AM

The menace that North Korea is bringing to the whole world including that of cryptocurrency is clearly growing day by day as it seems they dedicated a big focus and resources to attack any known and unknown weaknesses of the system for their own benefits. And NoKor is succeeding on the big way...based on the news we are heard so far. This a big challenge that the whole industry is facing right now but I guess no one in this industry has enough resources and determination to counteract this demagogue country is doing and will continue to do in the coming years. I am now asking myself: What are the things we can do to mitigate this problem?
2803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death Penalty to ICO Scammers! Are you favor it? on: April 27, 2019, 02:34:25 AM
As we all know still exit scam ICO's are victimizing investors including me in my frustration I wish these people be killed or if busted they must sentenced to death Penalty are you favor of it.

Yes, why not? The problem is that it can be so hard to track these people as they are always prepared to get away and they know what they are doing so that when it is time to fly away tracing them can be hard and costly...not to mention that many of them can be based in foreign countries where anybody can be bribed for their own safety. The best thing to do is to be defensive and to be careful when we open our purse so we can minimize our exposure to scam. Being a victim of scam can be one of the worst feeling there is...and I know because I am one of them.
2804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with Binance and Bittrex Delist in 2019 on: April 27, 2019, 02:30:04 AM
I think Bittrex's list contains shittier coins than Binance's list. By the way, CZ is a dictator, so he can do whatever he wants. However, I think CZ made some mistakes for avoiding regulations and creating unnecessary drama.
"He went full Jihan, Never go full Jihan" - random quotes.

Everybody want to have full control and I can understand if that is the aim of Binance and the people behind it. As long as the business is doing money and the market is responding positively, I don't think that Binance can be changing its mindset and ways but of course they are always listening to the people they are serving and can be introducing many changes along the way. As to delisting, this is the prerogative of the exchange and the main basis of this is that a coin is not doing good already in terms of trading volume.
2805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: April 27, 2019, 02:23:34 AM
I see that the crypto world is developing very fast, including bitcoin. And also with the entry of technology and breakthrough breakthroughs, especially in the ICO project. But my question is whether it would be good if there were still many people who were reluctant to develop and increase their knowledge too and still depend on the opinions and predictions of others?
In my heart I say that is not true. What about your point of view?

You are right on point. A lot people in the crypto Ecosystem solely depend on the opinions made by people  without trying to find out or do the researches themselves. I think its about time everybody do their own research to help the understand some facts about the crypto ecosystem and help this ecosystem grow and free from false speculations and predictions.

We have to understand this is quite true not just on people's opinions and ideas in the world of cryptocurrency but also with anything in our modern culture. One of the basis why fake news proliferated is because people have started to be reluctant to do good research before forming their opinion...people simply became so lazy that we eat anything that is offered near our mouth whether the food can be toxic or not. This is so sad because we are in the information age...but instead of becoming learned we are becoming victims of so much information.
2806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Are Most Reliable Ways To Sell Bitcoin? on: April 27, 2019, 02:12:17 AM
Hey guys!

Some of you may think that my question will be dumb and that Google can help me but Google does not have everything - it does not have personal experience.

My question is - how can I sell my BTC without paying high fees to someone? I made a big mistake and lost my BTC using an exchange that's not reliable. In the end, it turned out they don't even have a customer support team.

I need a personal experience of how you have done it or maybe a place or an article where you can learn these things.

Because of the price increase, I want to sell some of my Bitcoins but I want also to make sure the transaction goes through.

Here in my country, we have a good exchange where we can sell and also buy Bitcoin for that matter and so far there has been no major issues that can deter anyone not to trust. Now, another best option is doing it peer-to-peer but make sure that you are dealing with an honest person or buyer but if you don't trust each other then maybe use escrow if there is one. These days there are now many businesses in cryptocurrency and soon we can be overwhelmed with many choices but of course at all times we have to be careful.

are, in fact, seized and safeguarded in several jurisdictions, including Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

It would be very easy for them to prove what they are saying. I do not know American law. But perhaps they could even sue the New York Attorney on false charges of crime.

Yes, Bitfinex can do that so they can clear their name which is implicated on this case. However, as a business that can be the last resort as you don't want to enraged any officials of the government as they have the powder to intentionally make doing business hard for you. The best thing to do is communicate with the government office or the New York Attorney General seeking clarification and have the opportunity to present their side of the story with corresponding proofs for the matter.
2808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: (bitcoin/gold) Limited Supply Problem on: April 27, 2019, 02:00:36 AM
Your statement about China controlling majority of the hash power currently could change since they might effectively ban crypto mining in their country pretty soon which could help improve the decentralization aspect of Bitcoin.

Even though Bitcoin is centralized to an extent, it is still leaps and bounds better than traditional FIAT, gold etc which are almost completely centralized.

Hopefully, that decision of the Chinese government to stop Bitcoin mining activities within its boundaries can actually be doing good for the whole industry so that there will be no more concentration of has power in a single country going forward with the ideal decentralized state. Even though I am sure that many Chinese are still into Bitcoin, we should not allow a single country to be a major clout with this industry especially with a government with a closed mind.

2810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fake money? Think again! on: April 27, 2019, 01:41:19 AM
Bitcoin is the real money and you can take profit with bitcoin by investing and trading, how ever is not true when some one talk about bitcoin is fake because bitcoin is digital e currency money and you will be able getting much profit.

Exactly! Bitcoin can be medium of exchange so it is actually money for that matter though this is digital. Just like eBooks, digital can have real value and can do what their physical counterpart (printed books) has been playing for as long as we can remember. We are now in the different period of our history where big changes is happening and will continue to happen. We just have to be prepared with open mind. The future of money is with cryptocurrency that is why many big names in many industries are now starting to invest with it including the blockchain so they can issue their own digital token which can have the value of money.
2811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin technology and as a currency different? on: April 27, 2019, 01:34:47 AM

Well, not 100% true as you can browse many parts of this forum that focused on the technological aspect of Bitcoin and its adoption by many globally. We have to understand that many ordinary people are not really into techies things so what can interest them is the value of Bitcoin and how they can ride the bandwagon and make money in the process. We should not conclude that this is actually a bad thing though admittedly not the most ideal. We need people to be a part of this whole thing whatever interest they are bringing into the table.
2812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I ForeSEE EVIL Coming TO ALL Bitcoin Communities!! (SOUND WARNING) on: April 27, 2019, 01:23:00 AM
Well, if government will intervene with the rulings in cryptocurrency then I do not think that is a bad omen instead it is the opposite. Yes, it may take another fees from the government on watching over the btc markets and the users who are involve but this does not matter for many users will be encourage to join and contribute or invest in bitcoin just like to what Foreign exchange trading that was being regulated and adapted by the government and to the users all over the world.

Many governments are watching the cryptocurrency market as it keeps on growing and this is done under many good grounds (though of course, in many cases there are also villains who have bad intentions). The thing is that the government has to make sure that transparency, fairness and protection of the consumers are all installed as far as possible. This is the work of SEC. The other big ground is of course, collecting taxes since this is a big business the government will really be coming in to get its legal and fair share of financial activities going on. Now, countries like Russia and China got their own different mindset as far as Bitcoin is concerned so if these countries will be doing something that can constrict Bitcoin then it will not anymore be surprising.
2813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's value after being more recognized and accepted globally. on: April 27, 2019, 01:15:33 AM

Massive speculations have been affecting Bitcoin especially towards the end of 2017 and early 2018...and when people realized that Bitcoin could not go on growing up on its price many were disappointed and eventually lost money. I am not saying that speculation per se is bad because it is just a natural phenomenon once a thing has a perceived value but too much of it too soon can be dangerous similar to an overheating economy. People should be education when they enter the Bitcoin bandwagon so they can decide right and can act according to rationality and not on emotions. We need more and more people and institutions to enter this space with the correct mindset.

2815  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-25]Bitcoin Daily Transactions Skyrocket to 400,000 on: April 26, 2019, 01:58:06 PM
Isn't there something with VeriBlock spamming the mempool?

How many spams tx that they do? Are you saying those 400k comes from tx spam?

Truth to be told, daily transactions doesn't mean that much if the majority of those transactions comes from exchange/traders. No real usefulness there except speculation. Trading volume also rises to around 100k btc daily on a major exchange, maybe it's just a start of a trading wave.

I am quite sure that the majority of these transactions are coming from exchanges which really means that speculations are back in terms of volume. Of course, many can be saying that speculations in itself will not be helping Bitcoin and can even be hurting its future...but then again speculations can make Bitcoin get into the news again and can be encouraging more and more people to get back into the game. I am just hoping that we already learned the lessons in 2017 so we never commit the same mistakes again and again.
2816  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-13] What Russia’s ‘Digital Iron Curtain’ Means for Bitcoin Users on: April 26, 2019, 01:52:32 PM
According to proposed regulations, the government wants to restrict Russian traders to local crypto exchanges and also only allow “qualified” investors – e.g., those with a degree in economics and a certificate from the government – to trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

WTF?!?!?!?!?!? With that kind of regulation they are exactly doing the exact opposite of what other countries are doing where they allow their citizens to trade and try to limit money from their financial institutions coming in. Why the hell do you need a degree in economics for before you trade legally when we all know most of the economists out here are close minded when it comes to the crypto market itself. They are setting the motion backwards here and I doubt that there is really a big threat in their country to do such thing.
In today's Russia, in this corrupt country where oligarchic clans rule, there can be no other way. They can also adopt a bill that is in their possession on imposing criminal liability for the use of cryptocurrency by "unqualified" users. I did not expect anything else from the Putin regime. Directly, it is inconvenient for them to completely ban cryptocurrency after Putin and the other top leaders of the country extolled it and in fact introduced the same prohibition in a slightly different way. I'm surprised-Putin has a lie everywhere.

With the kind of regime that Russia has, this development is not quite surprising. The Putin government wants all the advantages of this industry but at the same time it wants total control of everything and everybody...a sad story in the modern world we are in. However, I am sure that even if we are to discount the Russian and Chinese market, the world of cryptocurrency can still survive and even be much better without these demagogues. I am wishing that soon things can get better with these countries but since the people are very much supporting them then we better set our eyes so afar.
2817  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-26] CNBC: Bitcoin price falls on NY AG Bitfinex probe on: April 26, 2019, 01:48:14 PM
Good, it's about time someone took Bitfinex down - totally untrustworthy exchange with a history of scammyness & dodgy dealings. Pretty sure this has nothing to do with BTC price though, they're simply not big enough to have any impact.

I am also sure that this development has not been the reason for the recent slide of Bitcoin as it is now back to the $5100 level but still it is fine as there should be some contractions from time to time allowing some good momentum to develop naturally. Now, about Bitfinex there seems to be some problems with this exchange and I hope the people behind this firm should work hard to make their image or reputation be good again. We need more and more players in this industry who are not clouding their business with stupid decisions and bad reputation.
2818  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-24] Binance Promises Decentralized Future Powered by Crypto With Launch on: April 26, 2019, 01:35:39 PM
indeed, not decentralized at all.

Exactly. I'd go as far as saying it's somewhere between complete BS & a blatant lie. Centralized exchanges are trying to jump on the decentralized bandwagon in an effort to boost their reputation, but statements like this have the opposite effect.

Well, this is the exact message from Binance: You can never have your cake and eat it too! I am still wishing that indeed as time goes on Binance can be fulfilling all of the things it promised in the past for the benefits of the whole industry while at the same time we are also letting them make good money out of the platform. Binance remains to be the biggest and the most lucrative at that in the business of cryptocurrency exchange so the influence and clout is undeniably there.
2819  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-25] Samsung Ploughs $2.9 Mln into Crypto Hardware Wallet Giant Ledger on: April 26, 2019, 01:26:45 PM
I'm in two minds about this.

Samsung have already shown an interest in crypto with their latest smartphone (S10) having a built in crypto wallet, and this seems a like a logical next step to get more involved in the space, although $2.9 million isn't exactly a big commitment from a company as big as Samsung. Nonetheless, getting big companies like Samsung to bring bitcoin to the masses is the surest way to grow adoption.

However, I'm always a bit wary with big companies who love to collect your data trying to climb in to bed with any existing crypto companies. Samsung, just like Facebook, Google, Apple, etc., store huge amounts of your personal data and have a complete profile of you, which they publicly sell to advertisers, and privately probably sell to a bunch of unknowns too. Lets say Ledger and Samsung develop a shared app, wallet, or device? Do you want all your bitcoin addresses, transactions, and purchases to be linked to your real name and address, and sold to anyone who pays the right price?

We both have the same view on this development which can of course help the cause of the whole industry to a different level but at the same time I am a little bit sad that we are not witnessing a massive adoption coming from smaller players who are the ones who needed this technology more. Of course, since this is an open market we can never force any adoption but can only wish that at the same time there can be more and more unknown or lesser known entities going into blockchain and cryptocurrency related business that can be making waves in the market. Now, this trend is telling us that indeed there is a big and bright future for this whole industry waiting just ahead.
2820  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Quadriga CEO death, Is it new scam in crypto on: April 25, 2019, 09:36:32 AM
There is a big possibility that it is clearly scam. And the CEO are having a fake death news so he can have lot of money or crypto investment without any liability. This is one of the big disadvantage of not decentralized industry . Imagine if there is an KYC all the people here in crypto even investor or people behind crypto activity we will not have experiene like that.

This is also showing us that maybe the laws covering this industry can easily be played around so that anybody can fake his death and continue have access to the wallets where the crypto-funds are located. Since the transactions are public, they can easily be traced and be known (a big advantage with the public blockchain). Maybe we need stricter laws on this aside from the advantages of using decentralized exchanges. There must be insurance in placed that customers of exchanges can avail in case of fraud or bankruptcy and all exchanges should have one available to their members even on voluntary basis (as additional protection).
