2821  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining ASICs Technologies Promises 6TH/s Bitcoin Miner And 200 MH/s Scrypt Miner on: May 16, 2014, 11:20:29 PM

But no mention of KnC Titan and Mini Titan which are better than 44$/mhs?

And while you are praising their BTC miner you need to know that they are double the price/GH compared to Spondoolies Tech's SP30 miner.

you are confusing their scrypt miners and bitcoin miners

if we're talking bitcoin - their 6ths unit is $9,999 therefore it's $1,666/Ths

how much is spoontoolies per/ths $cost?

You are either really ignorant, bad intended or just too focused on the MAT company which I find a bit strange.

First of all KnC has some scrypt miners which obviously are not known to you. Let me help you: https://www.kncminer.com/categories/litecoin-mining-hardware

Secondly SP-Tech had a GB organized by me which offered 700$/Ths. Let me help you again: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=575499.0

they group buy didn't look like such a great deal though - at least the one in the bottom of that guys signature...that's he's promoting all the time.

yeah!

The current Group Buy that I'm organizing is for in stock miners and it's the best $/Ghs available right now of 2.20$/Ghs right after the S2 GB which is limited to 100 units only and has a better price/Ghs. I hope you do understand why in-stock miners are more expensive than pre-ordered miners and let me know if you can find a better offer if you say that it's not a great deal.
2822  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining ASICs Technologies Promises 6TH/s Bitcoin Miner And 200 MH/s Scrypt Miner on: May 16, 2014, 10:42:51 PM
that is what they've been quoting right from the start - better to be realistic than lie like so many of these companies do then incur the wrath of the public.

for $44/mhs (scrypt) I don't mind the wait and plugged it into my calculations when making the decision to buy or not. To be honest I don't mine LTC or Doge so I could care less about their difficulty levels 10 weeks from now, I mine mostly new coins that have large upsides.

the scrypt  miners are slowly inching down toward the $100/mhs mark so it will take a quantum leap before they get to $44/mhs but may by the time these units arrive - regardless - time will tell.

It won't take a quantum leap in order to jump from 100$/mhs to 44$/mhs. You are comparing GPU-s to ASICs, not ASICs to ASICs. Last year in bitcoin mining we had a very rapid decline in prices. I'm expecting that too when it comes to scrypt since more companies will release their own chips very soon.

by who?

give me one example please.

and I'm not comparing gpu's to asic - I'm comparing asics to asics....

you can't even begin to compare gpu's to asics - it's like comparing goats to cheetahs

I'm not good with scrypt asics since my main focus is SHA256 asics, but you should know more than me. I know that Alpha Technology provides a Viper miner which is 90Mh/s for $9100  and the Zeus Miner which provides 72Mh/s for $9999. Also don't forget about KnC with their Titan and Mini Titan which is already better than 44$/mh/s?

I am sure that there are more, but I don't know them. Even if they have the same pricing expect a reduction in prices from everyone in order to get more sales.

72mh for $9999 is $138/mh

Viper - 90 mh for $9,100 is $101/mh

the Mining Asics Units at $44/mh is less than half the effective price of the other units and they're saying 125MH/machine is the MINIMUM and will probably be higher.

But no mention of KnC Titan and Mini Titan which are better than 44$/mhs?

2 GH worth of scrypt asics not Bitcoin asics!

When are you expecting the delivery of the 2GH scrypt asics?

Another question for you is regarding the hosting option.  If I chose that option, I would get one month free.  At the end of that time, what would my options be (purchase of more hosted time, or unit shipment to me, or something else)?

Thank you in advance for any answers you can provide.  I hope you're enjoying your time in Amsterdam at the conference!

At the end of the hosting you can either ship the miner to you at your cost or you can purchase more hosted time.

I dig through the main thread and found the FCC explanation which make sense.
However, the technical specification page for SP10 suppose to have this information listed there instead of a note on page 44 from the forum thread.

Lower performance on 120V is expected anyway so this is not a big deal for me on SP10. On the other hand, I start to be more concerned about SP30 which need even more power and it is also listed as FCC compliant. I hope SP30 FW will not limit power usage in similar way.

The default technical specs are always +-10% so it's in the margins. SP30 was advertised at 5.4TH/s which as upgraded later to 6Th/s so I say you are well within the margins don't worry Wink
2828  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Asics Technologoes - 6 THS Bitcoin Miner - First PICS! on: May 16, 2014, 04:24:36 AM
I'm probably going to personally meet them when I make this deal. I'm extremely skeptical as I was with Spondoolies, yet now I know they're legit. I was hoping to strike a deal with Sp-Tech, but the difficulty is going to destroy all hopeful profits.

I don't understand. What deal? 2GH? 2TH?

When are you getting your unit if you make the deal?

Can someone present some calculations about the ROI? Mine, starting from 1 June with BTC price at 450$, miner price at 2000$ and 10% increase in difficulty shows ROI in ~144 days. That's a lot. Am I missing something? Although the small number of miners ordered seem to indicate I'm not missing anything.

Current BTC price for sure affects sales of new hardware.

Tell me about it Smiley
2830  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Asics Technologoes - 6 THS Bitcoin Miner - First PICS! on: May 16, 2014, 02:24:27 AM
Following. Hopefully I could strike a 2GH deal here.

2GH? Don't send any money without a live demo or any other good solid proof.

Whats the 'Amsterdamn 2014' SP-10 unit?  The price is very good, is it available to order world-wide?

Where do you see it?

Maybe it's a special price for the Conference attendees.

did the lucky recipients of their own money back receive any email or correspondence wrt their refund or did it just arrive silently?

Still waitin here, requested USD around the 14th April but only swapped to BTC last weekend...

Though Natalie did say it would take a few days from Monday/Tuesday - i kinda expected it to be today

I did receive an e-mail but the next day Smiley

Does anyone in the US know the max these will run on 110V?  I think it was 1.35 Th/s.

I noticed in the tech blog a May batch cannot go back to a FW prior to 1.3 so using an old FW (voiding warranty) before the rate limiting was inserted isn't an option.

Why you guys keep talking about 110V in US. Everything I read says that US has 120V/240V with 120V powering living rooms and 240V-dryer, washer, AC, oven, etc.

Few houses run at 120V and normally something less.  But even at 120V Spondoolies FW limits the total power draw so the hashrate is limited to something less than the 1.5 Th/s achievable on 208V or higher.

Do you know where I can find any official information about hashrate limited by FW on 120V ?
I carefully look to the Product page, FAQ, Technical Blog and Company Blog but I was not able to find anywhere a statement about lower hashrate on 120V.

I'm asking because I was not aware of such limitation ... I payed for 1.5Th but I'll get ~1.4Th due to slow-slow ASICs and now I find out that actually I'll not get more than ~1.35Th because I'm using 120V ....

Now I'm wondering if there is similar hashrate limitation for SP30 ....

There is any way to disable FW limitation to be able to get full hashrate on 120V ?

The limiting factor is present in the main Hardware thread for some time. You paid for 1.5Th and you got 1.4-1.45Th. It's your job to feed the power to the miner Smiley

I have information that that pricing will be good for all S2s come end of may, not just the GB units.

End of may is 2 weeks ahead. We don't know what SP-Tech prepares for the end of may.

Besides the fact the guy has no integrity to start with posting false trust remarks. Why would any believe he is concerned about fraud?

Shipment is with DHL is it Roadstress / Spondoolies Tech?

Keen on having DHL as sending it to Norway S2 taking way longer than it should. Held up in customs in Oslo with UPS. Bitmain drop the shipping ball on that or UPS not sure which. Aggg... 5 days in Customs waiting. Not good.

I think he posted false trust remarks for the incentive tard Josh Zerlan gave for abusing the trust system. He figured what sort of company is BFL afterwords and he is surely regretting buying from them.

Yes shipment is with DHL.

@hardhouseinc I am sure that you learned you lesson from this. Next time don't get so easily attracted to free stuff.

Its honestly my bad, in more ways than one.
I had signed up for an account here like a week before that contest started.
I never read much here AT ALL before I bought from them.
I saw they shipped stuff already so how long could it take them right?
So, I admit, I didnt know ENOUGH about them to have ordered from them.
I should have read more here like I have since I saw that contest.
Honestly, that contest led me to read more here on BTCTalk.
I found out about FTC complaint, Wood Law lawsuit, other good info.
SO, in the end, BFL turned me on to the truth with it, so thanks for that.
This dude holds a grudge till he dies and obviously doesnt ahve fun with life,
just let things go that arent a bid deal, or ever just be a cool dude.  I have
nothing against him and see why he was targeted here after seeing all his old
posts.

I honestly wana see what they have to say when none of my entries show up in
the contest IF it ever gets produced....

RoadStress turned me onto a GOOD company, AKA SP-Tech when I started reading
the BFL bashing threads so win number 2 for getting turned toward reading more here.

So far SP-Tech has BFL crushed and destroyed in all departments so count me as
a loyal customer here.

BTW, sorry to clutter up your thread sir.

No worries as long as you 2 make some kind of peace. His war against BFL will never cease as long as they are still in the Bitcoin mining business. You will have the trust system stigma all the time. Just live with it and accept it.

You learned the hard way how Josh Zerlan the liar and the scammer is doing his business. Next time just do a bit of research before investing/sending money to anyone/any company.

Just enjoy your new miners and happy mining to both of you.

Any div predictions? I'm guessing ~0.015 btc/share

here are my calcs:

depending if the next due divs correspond only to batch1-april, we should get about 0,023 BTC.
but it can also take into account batch2-may, and we would then have >0,1 BTC for sure! Cheesy

You really think they sold 850k chips in april? Where are the divs for them?

You really think that they will sell more than 3 mil chips in May and then more than 6 mil in June? When are you expecting divs for those chips?

Has anyone with an SP10 upgraded their firmware to Version 1.3.16?

Any issues?

My two SP10s received yesterday appear to have just missed the upgrade.

I did. No issues.
2840  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ***Spondoolies Tech SP10 - Shipping NOW - 1.4-1.45Th/s - $3,200*** on: May 15, 2014, 09:29:19 PM
I think the price is too high you can get a 1TH S2 for $2200

why are these selling for $3200 yeah i know its good hardware but I guarntee you would move way more hardware for $2500- 2600

I would buy 3 myself at that price.

Because math. 1TH for $2200 equals to 2.20$/GH. 1450TH for $3200 equals to the same 2.20$/GH. It's the same price.

So you can get 1Th for $2200, but you want 1.45TH for $2500? Big expectations.
1 Th for $1650 equals $1.65/GH. His expectations arent too high imo.

The $1650 price is limited for 100 units only. But his example isn't for the $1650 price. His example was for a $2200 price and he compared the SP10 with that price. Why are you diverting it?
