hey guys. I think it's pretty awesome that you guys are as dedicated as you are and communicate on an almost hourly basis vs other devs who go days without a peep. I was curious to when the fibre board might be coming into existence. I really like this idea and have already signed up to be considered for a spot. I urge everyone to seriously consider making a run for the board as it is a first of its kind and does allow for your voice to be heard.
Hi Yes we have been checking up on the applicants and have only received a few, as stated the number we would like to achieve is 20 board members, i think that will take time but we have also considered reducing the number of board members. we will certainly keep you updated as you have applied. Thanks Any suggestions are welcome? Krushang Rich list shows only 15 addresses above 10k coins, are there even 20 people with over 10k coins? I would rather see wider distribution. But that's just me. I haven't seen the rich list yet, but do keep in mind there are only ~600k coins. The ~15 above 10k may in fact be a signal of distribution Here is the rich list http://www.richlist.eu/fibrecoin The first one has to be Bittrex lol

I have no doubt this will be a great succes! If articles on big cryptonews websites only post innovative articles, this is their chance to bring Fibre into the outside world. Anyone who wants to buy should do now because the innovation, the team, the dedication and the trust is here. Its a matter of time before those characteristics show themselves in the price of Fibre.

Thank You all for support and such kind words ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) We will be reviewing all applications soon Yes making FibreBoard is historical moment as we will be first currency to have an Advisory Board formed from it’s community. All decisions affecting Fibre and its future will be voted on the board.

"FibreOS will now utilize a custom, optimized and hardened Ubuntu distro, based on the latest 14.04LTS. We have been working on this alternate solution alongside the original solution. This will put Fibre in a better position as the best in the business use custom Ubuntu distributions.
FibreOS has to be bug free at launch, as some will be using FibreOS as their primary wallet.
FibreOS is a secure and anonymous operating system powered by Ubuntu 14.04LTS. Anyone with a PC or laptop will be able to use FibreOS. Because the OS and Wallet data files are stored on a USB, You effectively have true cold storage, your coins will follow you wherever you go. All traffic is routed via TOR giving the user increased anonymity. When you unplug your USB stick no trace is left on the host PC."
17/09/2014 FibreOS is nearly done, final touches are being put on it , private testing goes excellent , expect announcment any day now , it is coming ! We hope members will be satisfied with features implemented in it , it is very nice custom made ubuntu distro. After our official release we will be taking also suggestions on new features that You would like to see in next versions.Fibre Future - what is ahead ?* Implementation of anon mixer transactions which is stage 5 of our roadmap. After stage 5 is implemented Fibre will be fully anonymous solution

There would have to be a small ICO to fund the further development of the Fibre group. This is a far fetched idea!! Nothing may come of it, but its on our list. I will explain it for You in the main update in a sec ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I hope You are satisfied now ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Keep up the good work @ Devs. 1. Recommendation: Get more structure in your updates. And to show the future is great but its quite too much now and no one really understand at the moment what is next and what is atm . (Of course atm is IOS ..but you know maybe what I mean) @Shareholders: I am laughing everyday when I see my +/- % at Bittrex on the daytime. -20% , -30% .. and then I look and see ...oh ok 4 BTC to 50K, 6BTC to 60K ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ... anyone who shows shaky hands at this price is a fool imo ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) This goes not to daytraders! I think you guys do good profit trading the wings. Cheers! Thank You for advice and support ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) We are going to get a graphic designer to create a new thread with better styling. I will also put all things in one update with more info on each step Be sure to type things a bit more like you are explaining it to a 5-year old. The biggest market at the moment is held by the people who dont know much about cryptocurrencies, they are not in yet so they have to be atracted. I can vouch for that as sometime with all this new DEV things, don't totally understand what I should be doing. Example is the FiberDark and wondering if I need a new wallet to keep using the basic staking or if I should grab the new wallet if I want the FibreNotify stuff and such. I don't get out much, so if you dumb it down to my age group (ten year old) it would be of great value!

Yes we are hardworking in background and we aren`t definitely slowing down ! FibreOS is being worked on as we speak , it is being private tested each day , more ideas about new features are jumping to our heads with each hour ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) This week will be definitely interesting ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Fibre Future >>UPDATE<< It was always our plan to have most of the roadmap completed in 4 weeks! But instead of making promises we thought it was better to just deliver.
I have so many ideas moving forward!! But these will take investment from the community. We have delivered on every promise. moving forward it is going to be upto you guys, what will be implemented.
Through crowd funding and the FibreBoard, Fibre is going to be a true community driven currency.
Here's a sneak peak of things on the horizon!!
Fibre OS - We have now switched to a custom Ubuntu distro. This is great news for those holding Fibre as Custom Ubuntu builds are the future of Crypto Currency operating systems.
Fibre MultiPool- This will add buy support on the exchanges and allow people to mine Fibre with their rigs
HTML 5 Wallet - This will work any device with a brower. Mobile, tablet, mac etc etc. We already have the code, all thats required is block cypher.
Facebook Wallet - Just think of the potential with a Facebook fibre wallet. We will be able to reach a much wider audience.
We will try to have an application on all of these application stores. Google Play, the Apple App Store, Windows Store, Windows Phone Store, Chrome Web Store, Tizen Store, Amazon Appstore, Firefox Marketplace and NOOK Apps. This will give Fibre an unprecedented reach.
ATM's - Funded Multi Coin ATM's in major city's that accept Fibre. Something like this https://www.bitxatm.com/shop/bitxatm-sumo-pro/
FibreLight - I believe that once Fibre moons like I expect it too, we will be able to release FibreLight. A new coin using the Fibre base source code, with a much higher coin supply. There would have to be a small ICO to fund the further development of the Fibre group. This is a far fetched idea!! Nothing may come of it, but its on our list. Having a higher coin supply will allow us to build Facebook and other games that allow you to win FibreLight.
Increased merchant acceptance - We will be increasing our efforts to sign up merchants to accept Fibre. We want to add some of the largest stores to our existing list of merchants.
The future is very bright for Fibre
Regards Killa Looking forward to the next few weeks...the development is fast paced and working awesome!

Weekend dumps i guess , well more cheap coins to buy ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Why has the price dropped so much?
|
|
|
We are working as we speak ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) it is still weekend FibreOSAs a professional Dev team we always have a plan B, Should tails not be fit for purpose. Plan B was to build our own Custom Ubuntu Distro. There are some fundamental flaws in using Tails as the base OS. FibreOS will now utilize a custom, optimized and hardened Ubuntu distro, based on the latest 14.04LTS. We have been working on this alternate solution alongside the original solution. This will put Fibre in a better position as the best in the business use custom Ubuntu distributions. We are still aiming to start public beta testing this weekend. This has been with the private beta testers for 24 hours and they have raised several bugs. Once we have these bugs fixed we ill begin the public testing. FibreOS has to be bug free at launch, as some will be using FibreOS as their primary wallet. Fibre is much better than tac. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) We are aiming to be one of the best crypto currencies out there ! With our knowledge , dedication and such great community we will be unstoppable ! So, main things for next week are...?
