Avalon and Yifu specifically have ignored my requests to add my trade-ins to my store account.  It took 5 months to receive my 2 x batch #3 avalon as well.

I do not recommend anyone order from them again unless they correct their horrible business patterns.

I am still out $2500 in trade-ins.  This does not even represent the economic loss in revenue / profit.  I am definitely considering suing them and starting a class action law suit.  If I go the legal route, I will push for criminal charges at the Federal level as well.

I have timestamps of tickets, emails, and messages recorded.  I have logs of transactions received as well.   I think it would be quite easy to win a legal case.

Where are you located?  I think he registered his business in Nevada.
Not sure what the laws are like over there?

Is the pricing in range of bitfury h-card?  $500/30GH/s ~= $16/GH

or ~$40/stick, anything more than that would not be worth it.

My guess they will try to ASCIMiner this and go for BTC.99/stick.
2823  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU+USA facility - need samples for one board on: September 11, 2013, 02:57:49 PM
Hi
Is there any more information about power requirements?
If these (and other boards) sell well, there could be a problem buying power supplies of the right quality and size.
We may need to pre-order psu's to obtain the best units.

BFL seem to have had problems along these lines.

These boards use standard 6 pin pci-e connectors, like what you use with a high end gpu

I do not know the exact power requirements per board yet , but it can easily be measured after form assembles the first board using these new rev 1.2 boards.

The datasheet for the chip is here: http://my.root4u.de/BFL_SHA2_Spec_Rev2.2.pdf

Which may be helpful,

But honestly I would just buy a high end certified gold or certified platinum "gaming level" psu
1000w-1200w Seasonic Platinum or Corsair Gold/Platinum Something like that

I actually tested several BFL 50Ghs SC's (they actually do 65Gh/s+) which I believe have 16 chips in them, and I was able to easily run 3 Units from one 1200w Seasonic Platinum PSU. It had enough connectors and plenty of power. So I would imagine the contamination board will use about the same amount of power as the BFL 50 SC here: https://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage/50-gh-s-bitcoin-miner.html

Hope I was able to help.

-JJ

FYI,

Mini rigs are shipped with two 1500W power supplies.  One running 4 singles (64 chips) pulls 950W from the wall, the other is running 4 singles (64 chips) plus all the sidewall fans, pulls 1100W from the wall.

To have the gall to start promoting yet another product with all of the existing stranded customers, manufacturers and resellers is truly amazing.

It is on the border of being grandiose delusional.

2825  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU+USA facility - need samples for one board on: September 11, 2013, 04:12:22 AM
Outstanding JJ
If we are in Luckos GB do we need to order from you?
I'm in AZ.

All customers who are in North America can order from http://www.cointamination.com, if you have some sort of discount from Lucko contact him about that and we will work something out. We will have a solid coupon/discount solution for those who have earned discounts in the next day or so.

thank you
-JJ

Any other options. $700 is a long way from the estimates.

Don't forget to add at least $800 for the chips, so $1500 for a 64GH/s board.  Works out to $3.5 more per GH/s than bitfury.

It all converges on October, BFL chips, KNC, HF and bitfury.

I'm sure you'll care when an injunction is filed holding all payments until a resolution is accomplished.

He (Dave) really got to you.  Relax man.  Bitching here will not change a thing.
If you don't like how he does things, don't buy from him.  Ask for a refund.

So far, he has been more transparent than other ASIC sellers.

dude, after yifu and bfl, dave is kind of a hero. is he perfect, no. but by all that is holy he is not incompetent/liar as bfl and a dbag as yifu

Amen!!!

What does it mean when you have low rates?  And a "speed up" for one of them?
Is this a pool issue?  Or chip issue?

bigotry?  Look it up.
I trusted these a-holes.

"Bigotry is the state of mind of a bigot: someone who, as a result of their prejudices, treats other people with fear, distrust, hatred, contempt, or intolerance on the basis of a person's ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status, or other characteristics."

BitSyncom / Yifu,

What are you going to do about the trade-ins that still have not been added to the store accounts?

Thus far you have done nothing.  Its been about 5 months.  Please take care of the trade-in issues.

5 months means 97% of the intrinsic value of a mining machine. By delaying 5 months, Yifu Guo essentially take away the 97% value from this program.

And I am very sure that this is intentional. They have planned this. They don't want to hold their words from the very beginnng. In the early time of this year, I talked with Xiangfu, a well known developer close with ngzhang (张楠庚)and Yifu team. He has tens of FPGA, but he just sold it on the market. I asked xiangfu why and he told me "he does not pay his attention on the trade-in program. (我并不关注这件事情。)" And I think xiangfu must have very early message from these liars that they planned to deliver the trade-in machine at very late stage, essentially destroy their words to the early supporters.

From Yifu Guo and ngzhang (张楠庚), I learnt how low a fucker can be. Liar. Scammer. Greedy.

Yeah, I remember that.  He had like 40 of them.  Started at $400 or something, sold the last ones at $300 or $350.
I wondered why he did that, but then they announced their Avalons, so I thought that was the reason.  But it looks like he knew better.

We were naive to trust guys like Yifu and ngzhang.  I emailed ngzhang on Sept 17th, and he told me "check the forums and the website for trade-ins".
This was last I heard from him.

Moral of the story: never buy from China.

Is he going to support it going forward?

I asked specifically if Dave was sending a board to Con and Kano and he said he would, he didn't, guess it's another fail or bad decision.

+1 That is a mistake.  Con/Kano and don't forget Luke, could make cgminer/bfgminer work with these devices in no time.
It could help sales of HW.  (Although, I don't think they need help).

I don't think they are going to get much action on the new table.

A cost analysis shows that we would lose over 20TH if we ship out of the mine - taking over 800 cards out of the picture, which does not work well from a financial perspective.

This could be considered a grave financial impropriety.

Please enlighten me as to how that is adventurous to us, seems like we are funding the operation of your mine with our equipment and getting paid way less than our own individual strategies. What advantage is that to us, are you sending extra h boards to compensate? Because the BTC payment based on your decisions seems way unfair and you are profiting way more by holding our equipment while the production errors are catching up. Even now, we will not be able to achieve any ROI http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/9373700baf

You apparently have the equipment as per your analysis. I know I paid the full overnight shipping fee for an August starter kit. If your taking 800 cards out of the picture by shipping out our paid for equipment, we are getting Avaloned and your decision to do this without asking those of us waiting for orders is a poor choice.

You were doing so good, what happened to you.

I asked them to send my order 149 without M-card.  I had order 89 that I placed few hours before 149.  I asked them to combine them, but they said they cannot do that so they sent out 89, but now they are holding 149.  I just need a working H-card from the 149 order.  They can send me M-card with my other October h-cards.  We'll see what they say.

It restarts after a few minutes if a "share" isnt found, which would be a block in this case.

Install stratum-proxy and stratum-mining+bitcoind.

Connect blade -->stratum-proxy-->stratum-mining<-->bitcoind

Have you ever set up a pool?

I'm running one right now.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=162788.0

Will you set one up for me? I can pay you or we can be partners. I have a domain and vps with Ubuntu 13.

Sorry, not interested.

So I guess you'll not be switching then.
