2821  Economy / Economics / Re: When the tide goes out on: January 03, 2019, 11:44:31 AM
I always respect the opinion of Warren Buffet even his comments about Bitcoin even though it is harsh and mostly negative I never got offended by it as I know he is talking about it as an investment opportunity and as an investor he couldn't take the risk of buying it into his portfolio. As for me I often get out of my position even before the bear market has affected my gains in this way not only my capital is not affected but it is also set to jump on the next target I am aiming to buy, but surely bear market for me is a buy season in which everything is at a discount. The only hard part about it is picking where you will put your capital on.
2822  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have been hacked... what now? on: January 02, 2019, 08:01:39 PM
Okay,

I have located the hacker to own the facebook website called Geonomis, that talks about crypto mainly, what now? Passed the info onto the police but I dont think they will help, anyone know How I can contact Interpol?
I don't think that interpol will have jurisdiction with the case especially if you are the only known victim of that person, they cannot even extradite the hacker to your country for the charges you will be bringing up to them. The only thing you can do right now is to make sure that he won't flush out more money out from you, I still do recommend to clean out your computer even if you have done it right now. Also what others have said about you transferring your money to another bank account is a good idea.
2823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 02, 2019, 06:38:37 PM
~snip~

He changed when George came and also the sudden trade from Carmelo which made it worse.

I am guessing it is the age, although he still got the speed.
Or it could after he made peace with Durant.
Have you ever seen a mad Westbrook again after that?
He suddenly became a peaceful player with no boasting thay comes from his mouth.

Or is it the defense of Mavs? If Doncic will defend you then it will be a big problem.
Westbrook doesn't have any problem with his age, his problem is with his teammates and how he can stat pad his way to the top again. My guesses is his way of thinking right now is if he can't win any championships with his team right now might as well have independent awards at the end of the season. Pretty soon one of Paul George and Westbrook will leaving the team as soon as they know this team isn't working out for one of them anymore, sorry to say it to OKC fans out here but this team won't be defeating the Warriors anytime soon.
2824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: When Should You Hire an ICO Marketing Agency? on: January 02, 2019, 05:31:27 PM
You know how to cut cost in your marketing strategy? The best ICO developers out there always build up a team based on popularity and reputation so any ICO hunters out there who knows the ICO team very well will instantly know that your ICO is somehow in good hands because of the team under it also this people will automatically also create a buzz in the ICO market. ICO teams built on reputation is like a marketing strategy within itself, yes it won't be enough but it is enough to turn a few heads and concentrate their attention towards your project.
2825  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitw.exchange - BitWorld exchange - SCAM - Plagiarized whitepaper on: January 02, 2019, 02:24:48 PM
Usually ICO developers like this one will respond that they allegedly was not aware that the ones creating their whitepaper are submitting plagiarized work and their only fault is not proofreading or checking the work they have done before they have shown it to the public. I have seen this kinds of excuse in the past and they usually get away with it without being tagged.
2826  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: corporate mistertango accounts and IBC on: January 02, 2019, 12:34:35 PM
You really don't need services like mistertango to do what you are describing. If you are looking to become a "legal entity" to trade on anything I think what you are looking for is you building up your own holding company. You know the ones that make money out from trading assets. We might be not in the same page here but what you are just describing right now is you having your own company that is focused on trading which I presume should be independent from other services like the one you are talking about.
2827  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-01] Bitcoin on Track to Replace Gold as Dominant Store of Value on: January 02, 2019, 11:26:17 AM
Well the timing of this news didn't came out any good especially if you are comparing it to Gold right now. XAU right now is up by 9.57% ever since it got a reversal way back in August which compared to Bitcoin isn't that a good idea. This news would only be convincing for me if Bitcoin's price is backing it up which in this case is not. We being on a bear market does not show anything about Bitcoin becoming a better store of value compared to Gold, aside from that Gold does show that it is a much more stable asset compared to BTC.
2828  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders, what are your views in 2019. on: January 01, 2019, 07:29:12 PM
I am still looking at this bear market stretching out during the 1st quarter or even the 2nd quarter of 2019 as there is still no signs of Bullishness in the market not even any kind of sign that a reversal will happen early. So let us expect that this bear market will still continue and the best thing about it is we can stock up our portfolio at this discounted rate, I know that you hear this quite often but that is the best advice you can get aside from shorting it if you think it will still go down lower than what we have now.
2829  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your quit point for Bitcoin price? on: January 01, 2019, 06:41:57 PM
My only "quit point" right now is right around 10,000$ so I should have at least around a 350% gain in my portfolio and by that time I could hopefully see Bitcoin correct so that I could buy back again. What you calling "quit point" doesn't necessarily mean you need to cut your losses as you can sell any time not even at a loss, cutting right now would only mean you have lost the game and you seriously just have slash your capital without any doing any earlier action with it. My opinion just don't give up but you should always prepare for the worst.
2830  Other / Meta / Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR to the most strong bitcoin community on: January 01, 2019, 05:59:28 PM
Hopefully Bitcoin starts bulling this year so that we can expect that the community to start growing again in numbers right now the only sector growing are the spammers as well as bots filling up our registrations. This community will only truly grow if we see the number of true active numbers to grow. Happy New Year everybody and I hope you will learn something in the forum.
2831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the purpose of report button? on: December 31, 2018, 03:52:23 PM
It depends on what you have reported on but mostly it is this two if you reported a plagiarized post then the member who plagiarized that post would like receive a permaban but if you just reported a shitty spam post then that user's post would just be deleted and he/she will receive a private message about it regarding what post of his/her is deleted by a mod. Other things I see being reported are necrobumping a dead thread as well as reporting a thread that has become a megathread both of which I honestly don't know what the consequences are.
2832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Blockchain technology could be used for registration of land or property? on: December 31, 2018, 02:36:42 PM
If businesses are doing it with medicine and medical records why won't it work to other things like land and property? If businesses are patenting their own version of blockchain then it is a good sign that it is improving their businesses. The simple answer to your question is yes and it will surely affect the market but mostly it is a big boost on the internal performance of the system as blockchain will definitely improve the efficiency of the system as well as the transparency of the records this alone would cut costs by millions of dollars.
2833  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto debit card for FIAT payments - would you use one? on: December 31, 2018, 01:18:10 PM
IMHO I think that this Mastercard debit card link is not necessary as long as you are well connected to any banks that you of course would offer fast deposits. I would actually prefer this one as I know I could easily liquidate my position with the exchange. What you are offering is good but it will just actually encourage me on spending my earnings more with a debit card in my hand. But on the other hand you will have a different market for what you are offering as not all people would like a debit card because of what I have said.
2834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler was being robbed on: December 31, 2018, 12:28:00 PM
~snip~
I don't think foreigners are being targeted. If it was a local resident carrying 75 thousand he'd get mugged too.
Anyone carrying money without any protection is an easy target. But considering the news and where he got victimized you know they are being targeted. Pasay City is near the Airport as well as the Casinos so you know this people are the most likely targets as they know that they have a higher chance that who they are robbing have money on their pockets.
2835  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-29] Bitcoin Grew 82,000% In 7 Years But 'Died' 91 Times In 2018 on: December 30, 2018, 07:45:25 PM
And that is the big picture right there, negative people always thinking about the downs when the overall picture is BTC has gained massive success even outside of this bear market. They always see the price yet they don't even consider the fact that BTC is the one that made the cryptocurrency market be recognized by our own government, now it is the reason why this mass adoption can be a reality. The price downfall of BTC is just temporary when you look at the big picture I just hope that the naysayers are still there when it comes booming again.
2836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler was being robbed on: December 30, 2018, 05:40:03 PM
Foreigners like this one are the most likely target of these criminals especially if they are not aware of the situation of the country. That is why security personnels are getting popular these days as they always need to be protected from these criminals. But what the hell? Why did they even know what taxi to robbed at? This just sounds to me that even the the one driving the taxi is involve, this cannot be just a coincidence as they obviously know who the target was and when and where they will rob him.
2837  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Best design of Bitcointalk ANN on: December 30, 2018, 04:57:55 PM
It will actually be different on every ANN thread you see in the forum. But users like me will always look for two things and that is design and information. Sometimes design is important as people tend to read more what is on a infographic rather than the text itself in the ANN thread so it is important to put the crucial details inside a infographic. You can look for the Ann threads itself in the Altcoin and Gambling section for you to have an idea. Generally speaking to a campaign manager can also help you with your design problems as they are also affiliated with some graphic designers of their own.
2838  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Taxes USA on: December 30, 2018, 10:13:14 AM
As far as taxes are concerned you cannot call that as some kind of loophole on your own. You can call it whatever you like you still gained money out from it and hiding that part especially if it is a considerable amount of money won't be an easy thing to do. Capital gains is still capital gains and it is taxable, you might be trading from coin to coin but they still have fiat currency equivalent and you need to report it in your annual tax report. So if you don't want to be in the wrong side of the IRS I wouldn't be messing it up.
2839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is undervalued, individuals building on it will lead to recovery on: December 30, 2018, 08:27:24 AM
The way I see the price of Bitcoin: there are fundamental psychological, economics and social tenants that seem to create a similar pattern. Price rises fast, crashers down but at higher ladder with the new skin in the game added as value hodlers is discovered by the market.
I really want to believe this guy but he still failed on saying what is his reason that he thinks Bitcoin is somehow undervalued. This quote from him does't even come close to an explanation as he is just merely touching the facts of how Bitcoin needs to be fundametally undervalued yet he didn't explain why BTC for him is undervalued. As usual CEOs like this always gets away thinking that he is the smartest man giving opinion on where will Bitcoin be heading which is always the case when BTC has somehow bottomed out and is ready for a recovery.
2840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How the Bitcoin adveritsed in the beginning in 2009..10? on: December 29, 2018, 05:40:22 PM
I don't think "advertise" is the word we are looking for as BTC had never had a commercial nor a banner ad in the newspaper, the best screen time we can only get is through news which I doubt we had way back 2010. I know it was offered in the email but other than that we cannot say that Bitcoin's popularity can be attribute to it being advertise in the world. Maybe the world just catch up to us in the way they are seeing how Bitcoin is growing through mining and trading as well as the usage of it even through its silk road days, the biggest factor they had catch up is BTC's price making headlines as all of us wanted a bigger piece of the pie.
