2841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you know on: December 20, 2022, 08:12:40 PM
Do you know that some crypto projects are so amazing that you will want to give up your money just to allocate some portion of the max supply but the tokenomics ruined it all?

Some projects have good utilities but their tokenomics is very bad, if you don't know this do try learning the difference between good utility and good tokenomics because it is very important and this will help you on your future crypto investments.

No matter how tempted you are to invest in a project always learn its tokenomics first.

Good utility works only with sustainable tokenimics, without other, other can be pointless. Tokenomics gone wrong can mean several things from incentives for securing the coin being too low and so for exposed to all sort of attacks to becoming too costly to send, too fast inflation without inclusive staking rendering your share worthless quickly. And stuff like that .

Along fundamentals, tokenomics is the main thing to look at in order to estimate any kind of roi.
2842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rank positions on CMC changes every bull market? on: December 20, 2022, 07:25:11 PM
What is the crypto projects in top 20 that will fail to retain their position in the next bull market? There is a saying that in every bull market new projects will take over the top 20, do you think another project can rob the positions that Avalanche, Matic, Polkadot and Solana tomorrow?
I am guessing SOL and even Tron could drop out. But i would have to predict what coins are going to be replacing them in top 20. Not newcomers that would fall in top 20 but might as well be coins just below them, new bottom 2 on top 20 list could be Toncoin and Cosmos, unless there's something else, a new unknown black horse rising from the bottom of top 300+ marketcap. Like shiba did, from the bottom to top.

Without stablecoins there would be even more change in top cmc list. I made a thread where you can see them changing over the years

So he must be about to be charged in the Bahamas , right?
Guess not, he is being extracted again, not sure when, but i am sure he has time to change his mind again. Apprently he can spend his whole life in prison if extracted to US. I am still baffled on what charges. Probably market manipulation as he didn't steal anyone from U.S. Least i think he didn't

In general, in the tokenomics of tokens such as BFG, there is no such sharp decline in staking revenues.
The decrease in staking income for any token is usually quite smooth and there are no such sudden changes.  Of course, if we talk about the tokens themselves, without taking into account changes in its exchange rate against the dollar.  Of course, such a picture is possible when the price of the token itself falls sharply.  But such a sharp drop in the price of BFG in recent years, it seems, has not been.  The exchange rate fluctuations were quite within acceptable limits.  And now the token is recovering a bit in price.
So it’s not entirely clear why you write and reduce the income from staking by 6-7 times at once.
You can't compare staking system with other tokens or coins either. BFG staking isn't about securing the chain or anything like that, and dividends aren't paid in BFG but other various altcoins.

It's quite unique model. I personally don't understand why people are buyng it now, you can't calculate how much you are making even month from now even though there's a calculator for that. But one thing is sure. At this rate you are not going to make back your investment like ever. Only way to do that is by selling your tokens if token price suddenly rises, not dividends.

I hope he tries to weasel out of this, I don't want this trainwreck to end.
And of course he changes the rules in the middle of the game  Cheesy

Oh boy, Elon thinks not hearting Elon is suspicious now Cheesy?
It's like when his daughter didn't want anything to do with him. Instead listening to her and looking at the mirror he blamed communism being taught in the schools. Because god forbit that he could be a bad parent.

Is this the project you are talking about? for the short time I could analyze this project I would say that it is a project that will not reach the level of SHIBA INU, make no mistake, take a good look at the team members:
-cut-
Yup, also i don't remember single one altcoin that would have risen the level of the coin they stole their name from. I don't think Shiba inu wouldn't have rised anywhere if it would have been called Robo Doge or stuff like that, as there were doge copycats out there and they died right away.

Even memecoins need some level of originality. Naming it to Robo anything else would have at least given a them shot at this. It would still be really bad attempt to make a new meme but atleast it would be something.

Because why an earth would anyone spend a penny to project where the dev didn't even bother to make an effort.

This is unique. It’s not about how many people you bring on the site. May be there is another reason behind it? You could just drop your query to wetsuit, they might help.
I wrote to their email address, can I write somewhere else? Link please
I think he means that you might want to DM wetsuit in bitcointalk forum. That's the person who started this thread and to my knowledge is also CEO of freebitco.in. I wouldn't count him reading dm:s in here but you never know. He was last active February 28, 2021. Worst case scenario is that he blocks you.

But as a newbie, i don't think you can DM anyone so you would need to grow your account a bit for that.
2848  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: December 19, 2022, 09:59:35 PM
Games which demand more skills and less luck from players in order to win. More competitive games to bet where analyzes matter for long term outcomes. If you could create strategy games to play PVP it would be great. So we could play against others, but also bet on the player we think it's going to win, if we don't want to play.

I believe to offer the same games every single platform is already offering is a waste of time and money right now. There are many active gamblers these days, but there is also a high number of casinos disponible. The proportion between supply and demand is pretty balanced. If you want to enter the industry you need to be creative, introducing something never seen before, like crypto enthusiasts did in previous years.
Everyone would like to see these. But when we play from out homes bots would become an instant problem. They can't even throw all bots away from normal online games and they have years of experience in game development. Just imagine how bad this problem would be in somewhere where there's money involved.

Poker type of games would work as bots could do it only so well but chess or any kind of games that require calculations wouldn't work, combat games / reaction speed games would be pointless too.
2849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 19, 2022, 09:35:20 PM
Each country does have their own culture when it comes to some aspects which it might really be looking bad into most peoples eyes but eventually these things are something turns out to be traditional.

Lets just respect on whats other views and activities in related to gambling. It might not really be that looking good or something in correlates with animal cruelty but since this do involves gamefowl
which are really that easy to breed and easy to be produced or something then it wont really be that much an issue.
-cut-
I disagree with this point of view strongly. I won't be brushing cruelty against animals under the mat because it's cultural thing. There are many things that you don't have to respect just because they are based on old ways. Many people in these countries don't respect them either. Some of these laws preventing animal cruelty would move forward faster when there would be a public outcry and these governments decide to step in as they care about their optics and tourism. Some injustices need to be talked about or otherwise they won't ever change.
2850  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sam Bankman-Fried Arrested In The Bahamas, Set For 'Prompt' Extradition After US on: December 19, 2022, 07:36:11 PM
A twist: he will not be extradited. This gets interesting.

https://en.ethereumworldnews.com/ftxs-sam-bankman-fried-will-not-be-extradited-to-the-united-states/

I am not so sure if this is good news for Sam, it's not like prisons in Bahama are famous for their luxury 5 star sells or hospitality. I don't thin that SBF would die there, that would draw too much international attention but i am pretty sure that some criminals in there want his hidden secret bitcoin privatekey stashs, as i am sure he has some.

This would make interesting movie. All we need now is a prison brake and sam to disappear and it would be D.B. Cooper 2.0

Quote
Dogecoin Price Losing the Grip as Elon Musk May Not Remain Twitter CEO for Long!

The Dogecoin price has been trading below the crucial 200-day MA since the beginning of the yearly trade. Meanwhile, the buying volume has fallen heavily. Also Today Elon Musk expressed his willingness to step down as Twitter CEO. He conducted a poll on twitter platform.

The Dogecoin price seems incredibly bearish and if Elon Musk quits as the Twitter CEO, the token may be badly impacted. Earlier Coinpedia made dogecoin price prediction for the end of 2023, as $0.158. But with current news it wants us to rethink and ask – is doge coin dead?
The fact that even correlates what Musk does, says a lot about fundameltals of doge. I would rather see it going down the drain but it probably never dies.

If i have learned one thing from markets it's this:
Never expect the markets to act rational and never underestimate the buying power of stupid people.
Markets act like en entitled stupid kid that gets easily scared but at the top, like they would have figured it all out and nothing can hurt them.
2852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slow down if you want to recover your losses on: December 19, 2022, 07:09:36 PM
Depends what games you play. In some games like craps you mentioned, there's no strategy really, and you might as well put all in one bet because it wouldn't matter if you slowed down or not probability stays same.

But i admit that tend to do this on skill based games and sports, adrenaline from losing makes be bet even harder without thinking straight and instead of analyizing teams or fighters, i go with my gut, trying to catch big wins with high risk. Best way for me is to have a walk and breath fresh air about 30 minutes, and i shouldn't get back to my computer until i am totally cooled down. Otherwise i make bad decisions.

Oops... might have overestimated himself.

I hope he tries to weasel out of this, I don't want this trainwreck to end.
So maybe he wants someone who actually knows what they are doing to run twitter Cheesy.
Edward snowden offered to run it. I like the guy but this would mean there would be even more censorship because of where he lives. There would be pro Russian propaganda all over it or Snowden loses his asylum.

https://www.investing.com/news/cryptocurrency-news/edward-snowden-offers-to-take-over-as-twitter-ceo-for-salary-in-btc-2966953

My guess is that responsibilities and pressure were just too much for space karen. Advertisers don't want anything to do with him, just like his kid and wife. And it's hard to seem like hardcore freedom of speech activist when you want to censor things that annoy you.
2854  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 19, 2022, 05:31:35 PM
If you are in twenties or early thirties and remain single, earn $3,000 after tax per month, you will probably save $1,000 if you, let's say, spend $500 to $800 on rental, a guest bedroom in a shared house/apartment, $500 on food, $50  on utilities, $150 on phone/internet bills, $400 on commuting costs or gas/maintainance if you have a used car, $200 on occasional entertainment or others. This $1,000 savings will allow you to invest or place a house down payment when time is ripe. Is this possible based on where you live ?
150$ on phone and internet bills? In a month? What kind of operation are you running and where? I am paying like max $30 month for a high speed internet and phone.

But answer to your question, you left out electricity and water and at the moment where i live, electricity bills are insane.
So is the price of food, and for some reason everything else with that. I could manage third if i lived by myself in a tent and hunt your own food, but that would be tricky if you work in the city. It would be tricky in the country side as well. Right now i am pretty much living from hand to mouth.
2855  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla’s stock prices dropping fast on: December 19, 2022, 07:30:35 AM
Even if there are other companies manufacturing electric cars, Tesla produces the best and he is way ahead of others. What we are seeing in the stock price is a natural correction and there is nothing to be worried.

Yes I would say the same things, although we may wait little bit more and we can start do the accumulation of tesla stock  Grin. and Indeed Tesla produces the best car, especially with their auto drive fiture. Tesla stock maybe took a hit too after mr.elon need money for twitter  Grin and after I check it, this happen not just in tesla but also in other the same industry like rivian and lucid
Ok, what exactly are the qualities you guys are measuring when you say it's the "best" electric car? Best how? Can you point to reviews compared to rival electric cars?

Have you seen what the competition has been building all this time?
https://www.hotcars.com/elon-sheds-tear-tesla-model-s-plaid-loses-fastest-car-crown/

Or is it just because it was first one that brought awareness to electric cars? Because i am thinking Tesla might have done better without Elon hijacking it over.
What we are seeing in the stock price could be natural correction like you said, but most likely it's the price of electricity.

Donald Trump NFTs are sold out though. but that is what i mean by popular entity releasing his own. Trumps NFT is not really impressive but its sold out or maybe he is also the one laundering 99$ worth each.

AND he is getting 10% creator's fee from every trade (well most likely it's him even though he didn't "create" them. That's one of the reasons i won't be joining in this game, i couldn't sleep well if i knew i've given that snake oil sales man any money. And it's not like he would be washing money just by selling to collection. That's under $5 mil. Imagine him buying from himself and rising the prices. He could be washing so much more, and as he is not giving profits to charity, he probably is.
2857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now? on: December 18, 2022, 11:59:12 PM
I've been into different market cycles through years and my personal view about the bearish season has been changing yearly. I used to see it as a bad thing and I also thought that I could just lose my funds in it but I started appreciating it when I saw its importance. I've realized that the bearish season is an open opportunity for everyone to buy and accumulate potential coins. It isn't something to be feared but it's an opportunity to buy and hold.
It might be a cliche that you hear only in bull markets but "this time it will be different" could apply to this bear market. We wanted adoption and visibility, now we have visibility big time in form of centralized exchange ceos going to prison and "decentralized" stablecoins like ust crashing making people lose billions. I've seen some bear markets during my time in here, but this feels very different.

Updates coming in this thread.

In any case, if anyone finds an update on Barry, please share them.

I've tried to google it but found nothing that would imply dumping bitcoin so if you want to include any of your sources with that update it would be great.
It wouldn't make any sense to me that he would be selling bitcoin of all assets, because if i recall correctly he is almost maximalist with it. Dumping anything else in this market would make more sense.
2859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 18, 2022, 11:38:08 PM
I only play in stake and freebitcoin. And occasionally primedice.

I used to play only in betfury, but i am waiting for them to make a commitment about their tokenomics of their own token bfg
to decide if i use them again as their future looks way too unpredictable now. But i keep using stake and freebitcoin, stake is trustworthy and has a sleek gui.
And freebitcoin just has been online for ages, so it has standed the test of time.

Thank you for your answers. But unlike one of the examples, people sold their BTC at maybe 20000 cause they bought it at 10000 or 5000. For the BFG nobody doesn't get BFG at a lower price than now cause we are at the lowest (or so) price ever.
Well BFG tokens have nothing to do with BTC or most altcoins out there. It has totally different tokenomics and slowly decreasing dividend system.
BFG wouldn't have any meaning without centralized betfury. You can't really compare buying and selling activity with btc or altcoins when fundamentals with bfg are so very different.

Who are selling is a wrong question. Right question is who is buying.
