2841  Economy / Gambling / Re: Account Closure and ~8.38 ETH Confiscated Funds by Crypto.Games on: September 05, 2023, 07:49:10 PM
This is why you only keep about 3 to 10 UNITS of your bankroll on any gambling site otherwise you risk being screwed over like this.
I agree with you on this,  leaving a large balance as a bank roll will increases your chances of getting robbed on the long run just like what happened to the ops he was not guided enough or should I said he trusted that the casino will protect his money and privacy but reverse is now the case.

In the recent events were casinos either pulling and exist scam or getting hacked,  it must be appropriate to avoid leaving large funds in the casino regardless it be bankroll or just your balance.
2842  Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses on: September 05, 2023, 07:14:29 PM
Really let see how that goes,  to be 100% off KYC is something that seems almost impossible because even if you run the casino on a KYC-free mode for a while,  how will you handle it when regulators come knocking at your door?

I bet you will either be forced to implement KYC or be forced to close down the casino, These have been the major challenges facing the non-KYC cryptocurrency casinos in recent times which have led to a reduction in the number of No KYC casinos.
2843  Economy / Gambling / Re: COINS.GAME | THE MOST REWARDING CRYPTO CASINO on: September 05, 2023, 07:06:25 PM
How often will see new casinos springing up. Sincerity to customers is the challenge because just when you are settling down with them, they disappear into tin air. That is unfortunate, so reputation is important.

However, I saw you have an everyday bonus and I wanted to check it up but was requested to register, not yet.

You would better advertise your casino by running a signature, that could help you navigate through more users.
You are very correct on that,  because we have hard several cases of new casino that pop up once a while but the most challenge is how consistent their become on the long run and this goes along to say that,  the most important thing for a casino is it long term quality service delivery and since the gambling market is a highly competitive one,  a startup need to put in extra work to be able to stand out among others and also being able to establish and build a good community base that will sustain the business.

But in general it is better to have frequent entrance pf new casinos because that is the only way we can have the possibility of a competitive market since their are competing with the already existing casino for customers this will make them to place the customer's satisfaction first before any other thing unless if they have shady plans.
2844  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Be Aware of Remitano Change of Address: Don't Send Bitcoins to it Again on: September 05, 2023, 06:34:31 PM
A friend called me about this information explaining how his money is still stuck after over 24hrs of doing the transaction on remitano and it should be that he had used his old address without being informed about the latest change.

Yeah I made the same mistake of sending Bitcoin to my old Remitano address,  on the day of the upgrade without noticing the upgrade luckily for me the network on the old wallet was congested and I used blue wallet to carry out the transaction,  so since the wallet give me an option to cancel transactions that have not yet gotten any confirmation on the blockchain network.

That was how I was lucky to have conceal the transactions and have my funds returned back to my wallet,  but as at now everything is fine with Remitano and they have issued a new user address for the customers which is faster in terms of ttransactionspeed.
2845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: September 05, 2023, 05:48:25 PM
This looks like an important step in terms of divulging Bitcoin education in El Salvador:

It seems that the NGO Mi Primer Bitcoin (My First Bitcoin) has proven its value when it comes to providing Bitcoin education, and has now partnered with the Education Ministry of El Salvador in order to bring Bitcoin education to all public schools in the country by 2024. This Bitcoin education will become part of the formal school curriculum (I figure that the current initiatives are extracurricular).

The plan is to have a pilot take place before the full rollout. The pilot covers 75 schools and entails teaching the Bitcoin programme to 150 teachers beforehand, starting the teacher training this September. If all goes well with the pilot, the programme will be rolled out to the whole public school system at some point during 2024.

Not bad …

See:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/el-salvador-to-introduce-bitcoin-education-in-schools-by-2024
This has been a most anticipated development and it will clear up all the loopholes that could possibly drain Bitcoin users in El Salvador in the long term,  indeed Educating the citizens on Bitcoin and its related topics will indeed help the citizens in a lot of ways,  such as being able to carry out an independent research,  reform and development that will help them to properly, avail all the potentials that comes with Bitcoin and it technology.

The NGO has indeed pushed this educational project to a level where if properly utilised to solve the many anti-Bitcoin misinformation around El Salvador that has placed some setbacks on Bitcoin adoption by El Salvadorians in the last two years since Bitcoin was legalized in El Salvador.
2846  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: September 05, 2023, 04:43:41 PM

The threat to our personal data grows with the digital world. KYC protects players and casinos. Fraud and money laundering are its main goals, although others find it intrusive. VPNs might cause problems when bypassing geographical restrictions. If a player from a restricted location wins via a VPN, the casino may withhold winnings after finding the breach. Its not about the casino refusing to pay, but about license. Decentralized casinos give more autonomy but also present obstacles. Though per-move charges may appear excessive, they often support the network. User freedom and operational sustainability are delicate.

The thing is that,  KYC and AML rules have it double edge implications on the gambler and since in whatever ways you must have to go through KYC verifications at all costs unless you are ready to lose your balance,  this is the risk associated with the use of a VPN,  but we must also note that VPN usage is as a result of many circumstances while some use VPN to bypasses their geographical locations.

While others use VPN just because of the networks their connected to if the feels it not secured then you can use VPN,  but the most important thing is to make sure that your account is fully kyc verified before you make attempt to use a VPN so that you won't have any issue from the usage.

2848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do star players affect the odds of a match bet? on: September 05, 2023, 04:23:05 PM
<snip>
I think yes, since they are one the factors for a team to win, it just meant that their attendance affect odds of the match. Moreover, they gameplay and the list you have provided also affects the odds. Why? They are players – they have an impact to the odd's calculation, and if you will think of the game's odds base from players, you should also have to know if they are star player or not. Surely, they increase the odds of winning of the team that they are in.
There is no doubt that players have hard there high influence on the odds allocation and just like I said in my previous comment,  the quality of players determines the odds allocation for the club in question and that also influences the outcome of the team resulting in the game.

There is no way, that if Manchester United is playing a bigger club with high-quality players like Manchester City,  the odds must always be in favour of the bigger club which in this case is Manchester City,  since they have better quality players.
2849  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Fake Binance Phishing email on: September 05, 2023, 03:52:08 PM
Be careful with centralized exchange most especially while using their mobile apps,  I discovered some funny things recently with my Binance app I think Binance users' data are not 100% secured right now.

Always check your device authorization on the app to see if other devices are granted access to your account,  because such acts even if the hackers can not carry out transactions for OTPs may have access to your information such as email and other KYC details so this could be the case in your situation.

I may be wrong though but these are my personal observations influenced by my personal experiences with Binance and other mobile apps in which securities seem to have been comprised or watched by hackers.
2850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disruption In The Gambling Industry Your Opinion on: September 05, 2023, 11:04:47 AM
First let me say big up to Stake for its ability to continue operations even with the huge loss in the last 24 hours and being able to restore withdrawal for the affected hot wallets,  and back to your questions about the risk associated with big casino hacks

The news of the stake hack came unexpectedly since exchanges have been the main target for hackers for quite some time now,  making it look as if casinos have higher securities in terms of hot wallet protection and securities,  but with the stake incident, the reverse of the case and gamblers need to be wary of where they leave the money.

I believe that stake hacking won't be the last since hacking attacks won't seize to exist as bad actors in the industry,  but more also I will rather gamble on a casino that I know can survive even if the wallets are hacked rather than play on a small casino that will park up operation if there are hit by hackers and losing my entire fund.
2851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is horse racing so unpopular here and a bit of extra feedback on: September 05, 2023, 05:55:33 AM

I believe that all types of betting games had its own prime, and horse racing is one of the most popular back then. In my country, it is popular in the 90's and the early 2000's.
But again it's a matter of time, lots of betting games have developed over the period of time, and at the same time our preferences also changes over time. Maybe the reason why horse racing does not create any noises anymore because people have started to lose interest in it. But personally, I still find it enjoying and engaging.
I agree with you, horse racing is one of the oldest traditional games in my region, and currently this game has become unpopular and that is the reason that a lot of other new games have surfaced on the internet and in physical casinos and this development has pushed horse racing to the background and making horse racing to just be a traditional game which is hosted mainly for festivities.

But then we are more likely to see new development in this game direction in time to come and for sure horse racing won't go into isolation as many perceive it to be since there is always room for improvement in this game at a later time.
2852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do star players affect the odds of a match bet? on: September 05, 2023, 05:48:53 AM

My question is simple, do star players really affect the odds of a bet, or wager or stake on a match, putting into consideration the four levels of contribution in a match, as I mentioned earlier?

The answer to your question is as simple as a YES, Key players in the sports industry does affect the odd bookies place on a team compared to another team with no key player, For example, when Messi or Ronaldo will be playing alongside other players as team in a match, it is already evident that the chances of such team winning that match is very high due to the presence of Messi, or Ronaldo, so, we dont expect bookies to place a high odds on such team since its expected that majority of the bets coming in will be going towards that team, so what i think bookies do or will do is to make the odds of that team not so attractive to bettors, and make the odds of the opposite or counterparty team more attractive to bettors, so as to discourage one sided bets.
Odds are calculated based on a number of factors and players' ability and standing is some of the major factor to consider when sport bets want to calculate their odds, and Clubs with top players are giving lower odds since their chances 0f winning the match is high compared to the chances of team with weak players.

Just as saying does club standing affect the odds, the answer to this also is yes, what is mostly used to allocate odds to clubs is the ability of the team to win and players are one of the agents of match-winning to clubs.
2853  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unethical Practices: Involvement of Bots and Fake Accounts for contest/race on: September 04, 2023, 03:19:38 PM
From the title the OP have given to this thread, anything of these type against the wish of a gambling platform is an unethical practice and should not be condole, why should we use a bot to gamble for us if we are not having an hidden agenda to take advantage on their system, why should a gambler also create a fake account if there's nothing he's trying to keep away from others, anything a casino implement is mostly in favour of the gamblers towards having a better experience only if they can reason together by not creating a fake account and make use of bot where necessary.
Sorry, but you are getting it wrong and you should read the full Original post (mandatory) and most of the replies (optional). You are getting it wrong because OP is talking about misconducts and ethical practices of casinos not of gamblers (customers). OP is accusing casinos of using bots and fake accounts not the players (gamblers). Please, read carefully before responding.
Well I can say that the topic discussion is favourable and relevant to both side the casino vs. the gambler This is so because bot usage can be used in both ways,  the gambler can use hot to cheat the casino,  and the casino can use the same bots to counter play the gambler,  this is how bad it is and we have to look at it from both side and try to discuss it accordingly since it practice is beginning to affect the overall experience of both party involved.
2854  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: September 04, 2023, 03:09:25 PM
Updates will be announced on our Twitter.

Maybe you should stick to the subject if this is official Shuffle twitter account.
Like X or not, Twitter already rebrands to X. So let's call Shuffle X.  Cheesy

I am tired of all the introduction in the name changes from twitter to X,  I have read tons of news that have taken time to refer to the social media platform X formally Twitter,  so mate let's not blame the member too much for using the old name to address x in this dispensation where the name change is already,  getting used to many social media users.

Anyways the shuffle x handle looks to be much equipped with content that promotes the projects most especially the upcoming projects in the pipeline for the team.
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 04, 2023, 12:25:54 PM
[....]I also don't know for sure whether the VAR decision for the goal scored by Garnacho was correct or not because after that incident it was Arsenal who managed to turn things around.
What are you trying to say here? Arsenal's last two goals has nothing to do with the disallowed MU goal. If you have a problem with the call then point it out on a technical level and not come of as someone saying MU was robbed of that goal so Arsenal could win. Garnacho was offside by the slightest of margins.
I will not blame some people for making sentimental judgement and statement about Manchester United cancelled goal in the last match this is because such comments are born out of a shared mindset as being a fan of the club.

But while they are at that,  the reality still remains that that goal was an error goal according to the evidence and statistics so let us just forget about prejudice due to affiliation instead of using facts.
2856  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why most of the post aren't bitcoin related topics on: September 04, 2023, 09:40:13 AM
the discussion is general and not centered around crypto alone.
You make a point there to identify the fact that the local board or even the general forum is not only about crypto/bitcoin related only which is true because if the forum is about cryptocurrency and bitcoin discussion alone it won't be accommodating like it is right now. After all, not all Bitcoin or cryptocurrency users have technical or theoretical knowledge about Bitcoin so at that we welcome all discussions as it relate to us,  our environment,  and everyday collective life.

But then also we have to know that,  for some time now there have been tons of none bitcoin or cryptocurrency-related topics for discussions,  and the reason for that is because the local board is still settling down and at the right time we will start dropping more crypto-related analysis that is organically formulated tested and proven to be useful.

Not just sharing crypto-related news or all the other topics that have been discussed and are perceived as crypto-related but lack substantial details or proven data that can help the readers not just create awareness but proffer solutions to problems facing us as members of the local board as crypto community representing Nigeria here on bitcointalk.
2857  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: September 04, 2023, 09:25:10 AM
That platform token interests me. I am assuming i am "mining" it by gambling? Does the size of my airdrop depend on how much i gamble and on which games?
Also it would be nice to read a whitepaper, or any paper about tokenomics and everything about it to decide if it's a good enough reason to gamble in your casino before it launches.

More details will be released soon, it's safe to assume that your play on Shuffle will contribute directly to the size of your airdrop. Updates will be announced on our Twitter.
Welcome to the forum and just as you have already been told by other members who already commented on this thread,  you have to work extra hard to promote and increase the visibility of your casino and since you already started that you just get started, I advise you to be more active here in the thread and also offers some incentive to forum members in form of bonuses to allow us to try out your casino and thereafter giving our honest reviews about its features.

As you know, feedback is very important to a starter because that is where you get the best suggestions and areas where you fall short can also be identified.

2859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token Promotion on: September 02, 2023, 10:04:44 PM
Tell me how to promote the token? And which exchanges have the cheapest listing?
Are you kidding right now,  because I have not heard anything like listing fees for exchange for a long while now,  I thought coins/tokens get listed without any fees and in most cases what is required for the coin to get listed on too big exchanges is the coin potentials and the ability to prove to exchange that it will be a good project if and when listed.

Any exchange that takes fees from projects to list their coins is not legit at all since scam projects could easily pay the fees just to get their coin listed and thereafter do an exit scam on the coin holders.
2860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope is all I have left on: September 02, 2023, 10:00:05 PM
For people like us who still struggles to invest money on Bitcoin I want to know if one day, 1 sat can ever cost as much as 1 cent? Is this possible? Sorry I can't afford to dollar cost into Bitcoin like everyone else, it's very hard for me, all I need is hope.

I can only afford to invest into Bitcoin once in two month and that's not every with big money, you should understand my situation, I am too ashamed to call a number.

Is there any hope for small Bitcoin buyers like myself? Can 1Sat ever be 1 Cent one day?
Bitcoin at this point have gone too far for small investors to have the hope or chances of making it big from their profits,  because Bitcoin at the moment is highly cost and at that 1 sat will take a longer time considering its current DCA value.

But since faith can move a mountain I believe and hope four faith will keep you motivated until you reach your goals.
