1921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: October 25, 2023, 10:27:01 PM
Gambling is a lifelong habit and the only time one will be advised to stay off gambling is only when it becomes obvious that the individual can no longer contain their individual gambling accesses and at that level is no longer gambling per se but it now a case of addictions which have mostly affected those who placed too much high hopes and gambling for survival instead of gambling for the fun of it.

But at old age, I will probably be looking for fun so at that time I can easily spend some time gambling since I am already retired from active hustling like what I have now.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: October 25, 2023, 09:08:47 PM
This kind of behavior is mostly exhibited by scam casinos since what they care about is to steal from their customers and if they find out their secrets had been exposed, they will have no option than to delete the users account and leave no trace for the users. Being careful is what we need to keep eyes on so that we are not going to be a victim of bad casinos that will deprived us of all our struggles after referring users to the casino and not getting compensated. If we don't he same in a reputable casinos, we might even get more bonuses from the team from being a top referrer.
If a casino often change the referral terms by directly reducing the pay percentage at close to the end of the month,  then that likely a proven case of attempt scam casino,  and you should avoid such sites from that very moment,  since reputable casino will not change anything concerning the terms of service or payment percentage at frequent and suspicious manners just like the shity casinos does sometime.

It is very easy to spot the bad actors in the market unless you allow yourself to get carried away with their enticing offers that may never come and are just a means to rip you off your balance or get it stuck along the line and that is the reason why you need to avoid them in the first place.
1923  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: October 25, 2023, 09:02:38 PM

Op was online on the 23rd of October, which is a day before yesterday, I am pretty sure that he or she must have visited this thread but still did not find it plausible to say anything, this makes me believe that his accusation of being phished on stake was nothing but a big sham, lie.

Such act of disloyalty and falsehood is what have me not paying any much attention to threads such as this one that seeks to build a one-sided accusation and without any backup evidence to support the claims because judging from what has happened and the discussions here in the thread,  ops may have already given up in his attempt to blackmail or frame up things around here at some point just to prove nothing much.

Sometimes those who come up with such accusations,  if asked to provide evidence will simply just walk away and never return to the thread,  but then we believe the thread will be locked at some point by the moderator.
1924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 25, 2023, 08:48:58 PM
I could remember the casino I started using not quite long that almost made me to chase my loses although I could see that it does not worth. I had no option than to leave the casino and not bet there for about few days before I decided to back and start gambling on the casino. The kind of winnings I had was very surprising to me because I never thought I could make such consistent winnings.

I think if everyone take this kind of decisions when they noticed that they are becoming addicted or having too much loses, it is good for us to leave gambling for a while that the loses will not affect our emotions if we continue to bet with any plans or taking a leave or rest for a while.
Yeah, that is the best thing to do,  whenever you feel that you are going too much in a particular direction, then you need to take a break in between because your continued it may have lead you to more losses,  this is not peculiar to only you,  but so many of us here and that is why you need a lot of discipline to be able to stay at a safer place while gambling.

Having a limit in gambling is like setting a stop-loss timer on your trading feature this will help you to stay above the tendency of going over the board looking for what you may not be able to cash up with at some point,  so giving the break becomes the best way to stay at safer zone.
1925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 25, 2023, 08:30:41 PM

So, let's assume you luckily won anything as from $70,000 and above with a total bet below $100, and to withdraw this money, or even part of it, the casino requires you to pass all levels of verification in their system, which means that you will have to provide them all your personally information down to the most private of them all, and this casino is relatively new and you are not sure about their reputation.

Will you go ahead and provide them all they require from you for account verification, so they can process your withdrawal request, or will you willingly forfeit such amount of money back to the casino on the account that your private information is more expensive than that amount of money you have own from them?

I love to read your thoughts on this.
When it comes to issues with money, I doubt if there will be anybody willing to choose "privacy" over a life-changing money (i.e $70,000) in this present economy where "Sapa don dey show people Shege" (i.e. Nigerian slang which means hungry people). Because if it is I personally, I will say that I can only go for privacy, if only with my privacy I'm able to make more than $70,000 early weekly or monthly. But if with my privacy, I'm still not able to make regular $70,000, then I don't mind submitting all the necessary information just to get my $70,000. Because I didn't steal the money, I worked hard for it, and every good labourer deserves his wages.

To some extent, we have to be more proactive in our approach to the security of funds and data because sometimes our data are gravely exposed by those performs that we provide them with them for kyc procedure,  but then we have to everly settle this issue even before we make any deposits into the casinos not being amazed when we are being asked to provide some sensitive documents to verify accounts which we have already won a significantly huge amount in.

The best way to go about this issue is to choose wisely the casino that we want to gamble on and also make sure that we agree with their terms of service before we open an account in such casinos and also make sure that we read and understand the terms of service of that casino to decide whether or not we are willing to face their rules such like kKYC
1926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shame on haters for claiming that crypto is widely used in terrorist financing! on: October 25, 2023, 08:17:20 PM
Quote
Militant groups use different methods to move money, including cash, banks, shell companies and charities, and informal financial networks. Crypto is a small part, experts say.

So how dare they blaming it all in crypto?
These are complaints you will always get from people who hate Bitcoin and yet has little or no knowledge about how it works, and forgetting that as a currency, whatever it's been used for doesn't describe what it stands for, because as a currency, it's liable to be used both for positive and negative things, just as gold and fiat has always been used as a medium of exchange for terrorist groups both local and international, and today Bitcoin is in no way an exception. Hence, since governments nor Central banks has no control over Bitcoin, such fake news is likely to be a tool used by them to scare people away from investing in Bitcoin but rather choosing to invest in fiat where they have control over the entire people's fund.
It's normal for the anti Bitcoin crusaders to spread such falsehood around once in a while,  but only gullible people who lack the capacity to do independent research about Bitcoin will believe such misinformations,  robbing Bitcoin to be a criminal tools along side they own fiat currency which is the most used,  so instead of concentrating on the flaw that comes along with the fiat system that have been freely used by both terroarists and other anti government groups who are outlaws.

Any ways,  I am not surprised at this at all, since we are already used to all of this negativities around Bitcoin from some few government officials,  who will in the end become most users of such tools like Bitcoin to hide and the money they stole from the government coffers.
1927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 25, 2023, 07:08:21 PM

In this present dispensation, there's no gender inequality in gambling, everyone is entitled to play safe and gamble each time they feels like doing the same, men have their right to gamble and likewise do women, just as we all have the open mindedness of having fun at the comfort of our time, men gamble and women did thesame, the rate at which we both participate in it is what makes the difference except for places where gambling in general is forbidden or unlawful.
Things are changing and now a lot of women are actively engaged in gambling without any discrimination,  unlike before we're gambling looked like a forbidden act for women and in some cases any female who engages in gambling may end up being punished,  most especially in the Muslim countries where there be a lot of limitations and regulations on gambling.

But here in this part of the world,  women and men are the same and have equal rights and freedom so women engage in gambling actively in my environment but still, their percentage is not like that of men.
1928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: October 25, 2023, 06:59:49 PM

Self control would be always the key because once you dont have it then gambling would really be bringing out the worst scenario or situation into yourself on which it would really be just be that too careless when it comes to your spending. You cant really be making yourself that safe if the spending habit you do have is really that impulsive on which this is something that you must avoid.
Staying safe is considered on the moment that you arent that wrecking yourself into it. People do usually mess up if they have forgotten on what are the things that need to be done.

This is very important to our well-being as gamblers since self-control will limit us from falling into many things that can possibly affect our overall well-being at some point because the inability to develop self-discipline will always have a bad negative reaction on our well-being in the long term.

So whenever we are in a situation where we need to make some move,  we should rest assured to always try as much as we can to allow our lay down discipline roles to take absolute control over our emotions.
1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 25, 2023, 06:51:53 PM
Chasing loss in gambling is not really good because at the end you might loss everything you have. And that is the mindset of many gamblers. They think the their next game will give them what they have loss from the previous game and they loss out again and bet or play again until everything in the pocket or in the wallet is exhausted before their eyes always open to see and their brains open to understand that they wouldn't used all their money for the gambling or they wouldn't chase the loss. chasing loss is not always a favourable thing to do.
Yeah bro and not just losing everything that you got,  you may slide into gambling addiction if you chase loss too much,  and the same goes also to chasing the winning,  it goes both ways and gamblers need to be aware of that,  at some point, you have to really rely on and walk away regardless of what the result is for the day.

In gambling one needs to accept the fact that,  regardless of what direction the game goes,  it is most important to always take a break in between to be able to get most especially likely a weekly break and take a fresh breath and cool off before coming back to gamble again.
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: October 25, 2023, 06:01:06 PM

Well, i do agree with your input, but for record's sake, i personally do not think its ideal to compare a casual friend's relationship to that of marriage relationship, this two are very far from each other, In marriage, we are talking about family, that is the husband and the wife if this two should both engage themselves in gambling without any of them keeping their gambling activities away or hidden from the other, I personally believe that their gambling activities will not have any course or means to destroy the marriage relationship, gambling can only penetrate and make such relationship go soar if any of the partners is gambling in secrets, not wanting the other partner to know, even though he or she knows that the other partner is also gambling, then in such a situation, I think those husband and wife don't love each other and this will give gambling a chance to possibly destroy such marriage relationship.
That is the truth because if both partners has the same interest and make it known to each other it makes it easier for both partners to help each other to manage properly while gambling and be able to correct each other when they are becoming overbearing and excessively engaging in gambling.

Even if it is only one partner that gambles it is necessary to let your partners to know your activities to be able to offer some help when you may become helpless in some situations,  but I will not likely be gambling if my wife does gamble also.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 25, 2023, 05:48:02 PM
Good to hear that,  and more better if you can stick to your decision to stay away from gambling for a while even though in most cases that is not possible and at some point you may get back even before you know it worst still is that you ended in winning so you may still have that mentality of the try again spirit,  but much more also it will lead you to more loses.

Far from it is the ability to always move away from trying and taking such risks in the future since you may not be this lucky to walk away with any winning at all on like in this case.
1932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you leave the country or will you stay, stand up and fight for your right? on: October 25, 2023, 05:35:22 PM
Since I am not a citizen of the US but relating this to my own situation,  first I will wait to see what the extent of the law and see if holding Bitcoin at all becomes a crime which is impossible since Bitcoin in your own wallet can not be traced,  but then also the focus of the regulation in the US is not against bitcoin in it entirety but against the use of bitcoin mixer which most of the US legislators and other prominent bitcoin advocates have referred to as a bad actors,  since the use of bitcoin mixer have aided the cancellation of legal money and is mostly used by hackers and other cyber criminals.

So if the fight is against criminality in the system and ways to tax every Bitcoin holder in the US,  it means that many of the citizens will obey and ride along with the government instead of becoming a refugee and r going into exile like a fugitive.
1933  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't FOMO Gambling this Weekend on: October 25, 2023, 05:17:00 PM
Contentment is a great tool for staying safe from every form of pressure from whatever end and at most it forces us to operate within our own set limits without being forced to follow anyone's pattern of things,  this is why when I hear of stories such as last weekend winning it doesn't move me that much,  because before you envy the last weekend winnings,  I hope you be ready to also accept the stress and burden of their past loses to be on the balance state with things if it doesn't go along with your prediction,  expectation and desire.

Gambling is full of uncertainty and to some point, it becomes obvious that what is attainable to Mr A may not be part of the luck of a gambler at some point.
Those who entangle them selves with the pattern of others always ended up loosing when gambling . That is why I see some people paying for sure odds from Telegram groups and whatsap channels but I'm not use to that and I don't find it as one solution to winning my bets. I prefer doing it my own way, from my own perspective and emotions and even if I lose at that moment I nvr find it disturbing than in a case of paying for sure odds and the game cuts which is mostly staked with huge money its very annoying.
I agree with that,  because as a gambler there is the need to build a formidable approach that will propel your winning and that winning approach has to be peculiar to only you and what you choose to improve and build on as a gambler,  bit by relying on the speculations of another person is a sure way to lose at some point so being major to buy into that idea of paying for a sure bet,  or even relying on another person predictions is a big danger to you as a gambler.

Some time way comes across people who may try to entice us with all of that shit,  but then we have to be smart enough not to be deceived into believing that we may come across something out of the ordinary while looking for the answer in gambling.
1934  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Opportunity come but once. on: October 24, 2023, 11:58:19 PM

Most of us go dey talk no use loan money invest for btc or borrow money take invest. What of if the person get means to dey pay the money small small while the investment dey run into majority just like I give instance already.

Although I been advise op against it because maybe him no get where to take pay back but truely na opportunity dey him face like that (if he has a way to start gathering it back) if he can wait for the bull incase e no really happen for 2024.

Talking about the loan to invest, we know sabi say many wealthy people dey borrow money take do business and business go dey move under loan while Dem pay and collect bigger cash again self. Na that one make when some wealthy people die, their business go collapse because banks go collect their money one way or the other.
It's not wrong to take a loan to invest in Bitcoin,  but what is wrong is that taking a loan to invest in Bitcoin without any stable means of payback and depending on that Bitcoin investment as the repayment back up, is a bad investment approach that can put the investor under pressure and place you in an unfavourable position if the market goes against your predictions or below the bought price.

Taking a loan is not a bad financial step,  because many of the today's successful companies many start on funded loans from banks and today they can clear the debt and continue in business,  so first you have to place some things in position before you apply for any loan such things as alternative and stable source for repayment of the loans and having to look away from the Bitcoin investment for a long time,  if all this are in place,  then the loans should be consider to be a positive one,  but if other way around that means that it in the negatives all together.
1935  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top Halloween Online Casino Bonus or Promo on: October 24, 2023, 11:36:36 PM
Gambling on Halloween seems like a boring way to enjoy such an awesome festival frankly speaking. It's better to just save money and use it on partying, watching movies and shows etc in my opinion.

Trick or treating during my childhood days will always be some of my fondest memories ever.

Such preference depends on the gambler himself, some are on the hunt of these halloween promos as some are indeed interesting.
There's no problem in chasing these promos, so long you know your limits and you are not in debt because of this.
This is also one of the marketing promotions that the casino can offer, to spark again the interest of their patrons.
Hence, they have their own race or contests to offer with having competitive prizes on the line.
Halloween is one special occasions that have it own unique activities outline and gambling is not part of such activities that are recognize with Halloween,  and for that the only way and means we can connect to the is to at least look at the individuals preference,  and how best they handle the Halloween period to their own advantage.

Since Halloween is a period when many have free time,  is not being too engage with some other fun activities lined up for the season,  it does better to place one or two games to fill the gap of free time in order not to lose out totally within that time frame.
1936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: October 24, 2023, 11:15:43 PM

Some people think they are smart they can beat the casino, but even those who are very smart and experienced have found it's not possible.
If you want to make money, it's better to run your own casino or work at a casino.

Having your own casino is more profitable than to work in the casino. A casino attendant is just a worker who gets paid at the end of work schedule, so it is just a salary or commission earner.

Yes the smartest of all have finally realized that it is an area of life that is majorly gambled on. New players when they come in believe old players have not done enough which is why they have not won but they at the end they confirm to themselves that the house edge has more chances of taking away all you stake. So it is always good when you play as you can and don't expect jackpot when it is not coming and by that you can easily work away than being persistent.
Casinos are build for business purposes so at that,  they will always place their revenue first and that is why the make sure that the house always get an edge over the players and it is of rare luck for a player to be an advantage over the house and which is the reason for the multiple loses that are recorded by the gamblers who consistently gamble at all time.

But then on the other hand,. Having to own a casino is one big deal that requires a lot of capital and expertise which require long-term experience, in the game to remain in the market because the gambling market is a highly competitive one and it takes the grace of God to stay above it,  so running one is not an easy task for beginners that is why many people don't consider casino operations as means of making money.
1937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling Generally An Illicit Activity? on: October 24, 2023, 11:07:03 PM
I think whoever edited that Wikipedia article did it in the context of gambling being an activity which is highly taxable in the United States of America.
So if you managed to hit a jackpot in a casino or win a significant amount of money because of your gambling sessions, you may feel uncomfortable with having to pay big taxes because of the place you live in.
Some may even be tempted into councealing the origin of that money, as a way to avoid taxes.

Or perphaps, the author of the article wanted to mean the specific case of countries where gambling is explicitly illegal, it comes to mind Saudi Arabia and other Republics governed under the Sharia law.
The author may have want to give a generally bad notion of gambling,  taking it entirely out of context and also making it look as if getting involved in gambling equals money laundering since he points out gambling to be one of the many examples of money laundering acts.

Furthermore, we should know that Wikipedia is edited randomly and sometimes,  the information written there is nearly accurate, just like in this case,  because we have many countries where gambling is regulated and licensed which means the government have adopted it just like every other taxable activity.
1938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 24, 2023, 10:30:19 PM

Oh god  Grin I thought it was obvious that “I have a family and I am not 18 years old” meant that I was much older than 18. But thanks anyway for the advice and attention  Wink
So far, the most risky gambling I’m involved in is that I’m delaying leaving the country because I want to do it in the most profitable way for myself. I hope luck will smile on me here.
Ohh sorry for that misunderstanding of what you meant,  but now I got the right point of being 18+ and with families which is why and more reasonable to remain in your country instead of risking the life and freedom of your entire family,  and good to know that you have an online aide job that could help you push through this time.

Good to know that you have picked up and made up your mind to remain and Goodluck mate hope to read better updates as regards to situations of things in your country as time goes on.
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigeria socialite went all in on this sport bet on: October 24, 2023, 10:22:35 PM

Anything goes, if he is lucky then he will have his win but if not, he might lose.  Regardless  I don't really care at all since it is his money, he has the right to spend it any way he wants.  About the match, everything may happen, I remember some thread here where a person lost millions of dollars by betting on the leading team and eventually got rekt.  Same scenario may happen.
Yeah it is what it is,  is gambling sometimes you win and another time you lose,  so you win some and lose some,  and this time the billionaire had a taste of losses and that amount was a big significant amount that will wooah many of us here int he forum.

But to a man of his class,  this loss may be an unnoticeable amount to him and also depending on the amount he has won previously and I am sure that he may have won big in gambling before to have built such a level of confidence in the team.
1940  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀🎲⭐️LeeBet.io | Summer Rush Wager Competition | Innovative i-Gaming Platform on: October 24, 2023, 10:15:44 PM

Of course they wont really be making out such terms and conditions yet players would definitely be flocking away and avoiding this site as much as possible.Who would really be the one to like on dealing up on a gambling site on who doesn't have that instant withdrawal? or  something that do talks about having no capacity on paying up such big wins? You would be totally be avoiding this place in the first place.
About on that player then its "efialtis" which is a known member of this forum specially he's the one who had made out that BTCGOSU which is known to be review site. Good thing that they had made out such review and feedbacks in relation to this on which it do really be able to save up other potential players of this forum on experience on the same problem.

Really totally frustrating on the time that you are really that needing to wait for too long until you could really get your winnings or able to withdraw. Just like on what @Oilacris said above
that it is really just a reasoning and its an obvious one that they are really just avoiding to pay up that big win or simply doesn't have the money on doing so.
If they indeed concealed the truth from the players and haven't started such withdrawal limits in their terms and operation that gamblers need to read and accept before creating an account,  it then means that the casinos have committed clear cases of abuse of the player's rights,  this is because at some point the gambler can really build a case against the casino,  and having such wired condition as for gamblers having to wait out a number of days between withdrawal when the balance reaches a significant amount that is above the deposit.

This law is very wrong and we should not encourage it in any way since gambling should be for fun and crypto is all about freedom without possible financial limitations.
