2841  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: January 09, 2023, 11:18:32 PM
I do not remember any new casino gaining a lot of success lately, however the circumstances we are facing right now are not very conductive for a new casino to get a lot of success, it is likely that once things improve and we get nearer to the bull market we could see more new casinos and more people willing to give them a chance, still with how powerful the current casinos are it is difficult to see any casino gaining a large market share, but with so much money over the table we can be sure there are many people that will make their best effort to accomplish this goal.
I think new casinos didn't get recognization because the previous generation of casinos has put available for gamblers everything they require from an online gambling platform. Gamblers are satisfied with services they have at their disposal at casinos like Stake, Duelbits, Rollbit, Owl games and others. It actually doesn't make sense for new brand casinos to come into the scene while offering those same services, features and concepts, because gamblers already have everything in well consolidated and reputable platforms. For new casinos it would be interesting if they innovate the industry, like the casinos I mentioned before did when compared to the early dice websites we had in crypto universe.
2842  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and crypto and stock is bs, but property is real on: January 09, 2023, 10:23:53 PM
Signature campaign earnings is really that something big and enough for paying up some monthly amort but we know that relying with this kind of thing wont really be guaranteeing out on how long it would last.
There are no guarantees, but someone must try. If it's a short campaign which last few weeks it really doesn't worth, but there are long lasting campaigns here active for several years already. Many of those members could have made a good deal acquiring properties only through this income.

And even if the campaign finishes suddenly and the person loses his income, I believe the necessity creates the opportunity, so the person will have to find an alternative method to replace that income to continue paying the monthly amortization quotas. Since there is a financial obligation involved, this individual will search for a job with much more effort and disposition. While if he had no debt, he would be in a confort zone.

This is why its never that been recommendable on doing so yet its never been a stable work since from the start.Speaking about land or property investment then it would really be normally on having lots of
considerations whether its price would be stagnant or would appreciate depending accordingly into its location which is definitely true. This is why even we do say that real estate business is really that worth
but its not something that you could really make out some guarantees that you would be hitting the right spot. So it is really still that risk taking when it comes to this manner.
Location is everything. I think residential areas are more risky for investments, while countryside and commercial propertials are the ideal ones, because they are versatile and encompass a wide variety of potential renters and businesses concepts which can be implemented there.
2843  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: January 09, 2023, 09:54:05 PM
Anyone knows why the lottery winners are not yet declared in the website,it still shows that 120 tickets won prize from many time ago while they used to update this stat a maximum of several hours later than 16.30 CET time which is the time in which the draw is held every Sunday.

I am not concerned because I never win here but am curious at why this delay.
The winners' list was posted on Twitter by freebitco.in's official account. However, when I click it, it's said the link isn't safe and that someone might be attempting to invade my device/connection. When this warning appears, I don't go ahead. So let's wait for the website to be updated. The lottery tab seems a little bit bugged right now. When you click to see previous rounds' results, you can't return to the currently one which displays 120 tickets and an unique winner anymore.

I think emails are sent automatically (it's hard to believe it would be manual process) so if you did not receive any, you did not win ;-)
No emails here as well. Maybe once in a lifetime we can still win something from that lottery. Cheesy
2844  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: January 09, 2023, 09:35:55 PM
There are things which cant be bought by Money which is;

-Trust
-Love
-Time
and other things which are correlated to this but we do know that it is already that part of necessity on which for someone to live a life.
Having tons of money could really give out that happiness since you could buy all the things you do like and could travel with your loved ones and cherish
out precious moment together compared into those situations that you dont have money trying out to experience this and this is why
i do partly agree but most of the time i do disagree with these kind of sayings.
Interesting points for the question: "does money buy happiness?"

Although you are right, I observe some things in life:

- People don't trust who doesn't have money, because they are seen as lazy, irresponsible, waster, freeloader.

- Women reject men who don't have a decent income, career, properties, or will stay glad by the side of the man while he can offer her a confortable life. When there is a confortable life, trips, restaurants, daily shoppings there will be "love" and a smooth relationship, but once you remove the money factor a lot of disagreements will appear frequently.

- The person who has lived a long life and hasn't made considerable fortune is considered a failure and often feels like this.

In theory there is more values and loyalty than on practice, unfortunatelly. Money should be a tool, but ends becoming the main purpose of most people's lives.
2845  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and crypto and stock is bs, but property is real on: January 09, 2023, 08:34:58 PM
It's illogical to compare all these with real estate. It's like comparing apples with potatoes—the first one is a fruit, the other a vegetable. Yes, I agree, real estate is probably one of the best—if not the best—investments you can ever make. You can sell it, rent it for passive income, use it for yourself, or a combination of them. Whether we like it or not, housing is becoming more and more expensive; thus, real estate will always be a worthwhile investment. The problem is that if you haven't inherited a property, it's nearly impossible to acquire one yourself nowadays.

Exactly. The OP haven't established or have thought that not everybody is capable to own a land or properties these days and convert it to a passive income where you will build a building to make some profits in the future thus getting some benefits as well because the property/land will get more expensive as years goes by. That is why it's hard to own some of it these days because real estate business is not new anymore.

But everyone has the power to own some crypto and stocks because that's much cheaper than owning a land as you can jus by a fraction of it, not wholly, like real estates. But the risks are the same and the owner will still benefit as year goes by.
OP continues to ignore the fundamentals of real estate, namely that you need large amounts of money to get started. Some are fortunate enough to have inherited properties from their grandparents during a time when owning a home was much more feasible. The majority of us in the younger generations, from Millennials to Gen Z, will have a lot harder time acquiring their own house, while taking out a loan to buy a small apartment is out of the question for most of us since these loans may run for over 20 to 30 years, and who knows what happens till then?

Bitcoin appears to be the best shot we have at the moment; it may not be as good as owning properties, but it's something ordinary. On top of that, Bitcoin might be the key to acquire a house in the distant future, you never know.

The OP, on the other hand, continues to post information that is somewhat irrelevant to the topic.
I think it depends on the location. Where I live it's possible to buy a land lot for 5600$ where it's going to be a houses complex. Water and electricity are already scheduled. I don't know if it's a good investment, though, because I fear it can become a slum later. So there is violence, problematic neighborhood, low quality infrastructure, not good looking surroundings... And all these characteristics make the investment completely loses its value. Anyway, the costs are pretty cheap in my opinion. Even signature campaigns' income can pay for that.
2846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 09, 2023, 07:57:11 PM
Check coinmarketcap top gambling tokens list: https://coinmarketcap.com/view/gambling/

FUN token ranks at first position, followed by CoinPoker CHP. They are not very popular in the market, considering their top 1 in at 271º position among all cryptos, but you have to read what features each of those tokens offer to holders. I'm familiar only with FUN and it has a rewarding staking program plus a premium program inside freebitco.in platform.

If you want to verify FUN token investment experiment's results, you can access my thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5405945.0
2847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin AI Generated Images on: January 09, 2023, 07:29:02 PM
These AI "art" generators make the work of low quality crypto news sites really simple, now they don't have to hire artist to draw a physical bitcoin for 1000th time, they can have AI do it in seconds for free.
You need to spend 24$-30$ bucks monthly to use the AI without limits, and have a decent length of spare time to try different combinations until reaching the results you are looking for. And the results aren't totally smooth. There are sitll many imperfections someone would need to fix manually. As you can see the bull I've posted in OP has an extra frontal undeveloped leg. Tongue

Maybe some of these news sites would even use AI to write articles, I'm sure the quality won't suffer because it's all nonsense either way.
Probably so. There are AIs modifying and creating songs as well, although the quality is low and sometimes bizarre, morbid.

The quality of AI art is impressive, but still it's nothing more than copying of existing human art, it lacks originality, it lacks concepts. It's only good for creating boring and forgettable illustrations for cheap products.
I'm impressed with some results in many ways. I can't say they are original, but sometimes the AI recovers concepts which are amazing, but were forgotten for a long time already in history. Things that people nowadays couldn't re-create or reproduce with the same accuracy if it wasn't for the AI. Especially if you want to portray past decades and centuries on your images.
2848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Businesses That Accept Bitcoin Attract New Customers and Sales on: January 09, 2023, 06:59:50 PM
4. Elimination of traditional credit card fraud and identity theft risks associated with credit cards.
This point is the one which makes more sense for me. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, so there is no risks for sellers to be cheated by scammers.

But that wouldn't be a good reason for no refund policy.

Merchants accepting Bitcoin must be prepared to manage risks and educate themselves about best practices for accepting and using digital currency.  Especially in the bear market because if I were in thier shoes I might postpone accepting BTC in the bear market and I think many stores also did this even Elon.
On this aspect you are right. Transactions being irreversible is a good feature for sellers, but not good for customers, since it might be difficult to ask for a refund in case the seller is the scammer, instead of the buyer. That is a guarantee customers have when purchasing at online shopping websites and when using traditional payment methods through their banks, as they are centralized services.

Anyway this is a delicate matter. I think the refund policy should be clear, like customers have until 3 days to ask for it. So for 3 days, funds remain in bitcoin at the shop, but after that time period they can be swap into fiat and used by the shop's owner. Or the refund policy should return the customer btc amount proportional to the fiat value of the purchase.
2849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A superstitious strategy? on: January 09, 2023, 06:50:00 PM
First time to hear that game called casino war so I got curious and do more investigation, only to found out that this game was a card game but AFAIK, the martingale method mainly works in dice games. Maybe this was the reason why you aren't successful at the end. If happens that you win at your early tries then you should also learn how to stop.
Martingale can be applied to every gambling games around. You can use it even for sports betting. The problem is that this strategy is never going to work for too long, despite the game you are playing. OP may say it's about luck, but I say it's about playing against a slight house edge of 1%-2% which is inevitably going to smash gamblers' winning probabilities on long run. Martingale works in the same way for every games, though.
2850  Economy / Economics / Re: "Prepare for defation in 2023" on: January 09, 2023, 06:39:45 PM
I think the fed will be forced to raise interest rates on loans. Which could incentivize markets to seek alternative sources of credit and liquidity. In a best and worse case scenario, crypto based sources of credit and liquidity could gain higher demand due to them supplying credit and liquidity without the rising interest rates.

Raising rates could reduce competitive advantages of conventional bank loan markets. Opening the door for crypto to take prominence. Although recent history has shown markets and regulation trends have swung in directions which are far from linear.
They have been raising interest rates since last year, but the impact on crypto industry has been very negative. Theoretically you are right, and the demand for crypto lending services should have increased, as they don't add charge extra interest rates like traditional banks are doing, however, it didn't happen. Some could argue it is because crypto is too volatile, so in every cases bitcoin and altcoins aren't going to be benefited by an increasement on the demand for crypto loans. Probably only stablecoins will, although for bitcoin investors it's insignificant.
2851  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the $17,000+ bitcoin price breakout benchmark to new price direction on: January 09, 2023, 06:07:15 PM
I thought interesting that bitcoin hit the 17,000$ yesterday followed by a small correction which pushed it back to $16,900. However, after that bitcoin started pumping again and in accelerated steps to 17,300$ already. It's undeniable the market has gained some sudden breath for some reason, on the opposite of what was expected, that was bitcoin facing a deeper correction yesterday.

Investors are putting hopes and expectations on bitcoin in this beginning of 2023. The question is, has this sentiment come to stay or is it just temporary?

2852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: January 09, 2023, 05:53:48 PM
Having greed is good, its the stupid mistakes that make you lose money. Greed is wanting more money, holding more than you should is not "greed", its a mistake, if you know what you are doing then you would sell at the top and buy at the bottom and make more money aka be greedy.

So all in all, do not make all the mistakes confused with each other, because emotions in trading world is very dangerous and mistaking which emotion is which could be even worse and that's an important thing.
You made mistake because of your greed to hold more and I see no difference. If you want more then that means you're greedy and it's not just a mistake because you're the one who decide to take that risk, hoping to gain. Well, it's a human nature to be greedy, because who don't want to earn more than you should right? But we need to control ourselves and think of the present. If you already earn then take profit already, buy back and hold. It just depends on our strategy on how to take advantage the opportunity for our own benefit.
I believe we can't misunderstand greed with ambition. I think @redsun114 meant ambition by his example, because that is what lead us to seek for more money, for better life quality, for status and every other human needs that for some seem bullshit, but for others are necessary for their personal fulfillment and happiness.

Greed, on the other hand, is the insatiable characteristic some people have inside themselves. In this case nothing is enough for the person. He can have all the money of the world, best life standards and status on his society, but he still want more, even though it's not possible. These people losing all their money trading and gambling due to greed would act in the same manner if they were in a superior position, and some of them were for a while and lost everything for being insatiable!
2853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Businesses That Accept Bitcoin Attract New Customers and Sales on: January 09, 2023, 05:15:54 PM
1. New customers base:
According to the research, 40% of customers that pay with crypto were new to the merchant.
It doesn't happen often. I doubt most of the entrepreneurs who adopted bitcoin as payment method on their beauty and retail shops have seen an increasement of 40% in bitcoin payments from new customers.

2. Increase in the size of transactions because buyers who pay with cryptocurrency tend to spend more than other customers.
What does it implies? Are bitcoin adopters rich, so they can spend more, or they want to make most use as possible from a single transaction's fee?

3. Lower transaction costs: Transaction fees are lower than those for other payment types
That is not true. When transacting with btc you have to pay network's fees and when you transact with debit card there aren't fees in many cases.

4. Elimination of traditional credit card fraud and identity theft risks associated with credit cards.
This point is the one which makes more sense for me. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, so there is no risks for sellers to be cheated by scammers.
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 09, 2023, 04:48:46 PM
I agree, old stars like Messi and Ronaldo are still great, no doubt, but their time is already approaching and eventually, they will be replaced by a much younger stars like the ones you've mentioned that will be playing after their retirement. There's no need to fret about the situation because that's the reality in this world and they won't be playing in the upcoming years as they will become more and more older.

Regarding the next FIFA World Cup, Messi is the one who will likely play compared to Ronaldo because aside from the difference of their age, Messi won't let the situation slide because they are the defending champs and he have every right to play in that historical event. He will be 39 or 40 years old by that time, but I know he's still to play and give the team some help when they needed it.
Maybe both of them can still play the next World Cup as the last one of their careers. They can't play the whole 90 minutes of a match with all the energy and stamina they were used to, as we have already seen in Qatar, but the coach can use them smartly during some strategical moments of the games. It seems a much better idea to have Messi and Ronaldo on the bench, than some random players who are there just to fill the gaps. About Messi, specifically, I'm sure he will be able to at least raise the morale of the national team if he is there side by side with them.
2855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you really think about trading bots? on: January 09, 2023, 04:24:59 PM
Bots can make us feel more at ease and save us time checking and monitoring the chart; however, the question is whether they are profitable. You are also correct in that you must monitor it because there will be time that bot will make mistakes. I usually write scripts for my daily tasks at work because I find them repetitive and boring, and I code them myself, but when it comes to trading, this is not a good solution because I need flexibility, which is why I don't use or rely on bots. It is better to trade manually as you can learn more every day in the market.
I'm skeptical regards trading bots, because if they were profitable, every traders could just acquire the top notch bot available in the market, set it up, and earn passive income from the bot's work. It's not what happens for real, though. And in fact it would be impossible, as they are only bots and not seers. As forum members have related, from the accessibility and interactivity point of views, bots are great, but they don't guarantee profit, and in this case I think it's the most important aspect they fail in achieving.
2856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: January 09, 2023, 03:49:11 AM
Personally, I expect 2023 to be better than 2022, but don't expect much. 2022 was the worst, and I expect prices to start to recover with the start of the new year.

I do not expect to see significant price growth until the end of this year, after which we can see important movements for Bitcoin and the market in general.

So the best thing is to invest for the long term and follow the DCA strategy because we may not see these good buying prices again.
Nice to see people like you who are still optimistic on the current year because when I look around almost all of them thinks that 2023 is going to be the same with 2022. Well for me, I am also optimistic about this year. For me every new year is a new beginning and I always expect great things to happen not only limited here in cryptos but also in the real world and to myself.
Well, if in 2023 we don't have any major scandals like we had in 2022 I think it will be already a big improvement. I'm optimistic regards that too, but not too much about price recovery. I still think bitcoin is looking too stable to consider the tendency is changing from bearish to bullish. Maybe the market is waiting to see how crypto companies and whales are going to behave, to see if they have learned any lessons. There is a promise of a bull run, and for now that is all. We have to stay hopeful and patient, while not letting our imagination move too far from reality. To daydream in crypto market can involve the same risks of gambling and trading with money we can't afford to lose.
2857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina's Leading Presidential Candidate Preaches Bitcoin on: January 09, 2023, 03:39:42 AM
I thought before reading the article that it was just some propaganda that he was using to attract voters to him, but he is leading in the polls, so we can't really know if he wins. But based on what he said, I could think that it would be possible for Argentina to legalize bitcoin as a payment method and use it in their daily transactions, just like El Salvador. I am not thinking of the bull run, but for sure this would affect the price of bitcoin, and I am glad that there are now a few countries sort of legalizing bitcoin.
It's not so simple. A president in a latin american country can do nothing by himself. Who controls the country are the Congress and the Supreme Court. If he wants to send a bitcoin legal tender proposal he will need congressmen's support, so he has to compose a majority of the house by his side. I don't know how strong the leftwing party is in Argentina right now, but they use to be strong there. Moreover, leftwing is currently in charge of Argentina and if they maintain their influence, it's going to be even harder for the hypothetical president Javier Gerardo Milei to pass his bitcoin project ahead.

Let's hope his pro-bitcoin statements can at least encourage more argentinians to adopt bitcoin against the devalued peso argentino.
2858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: January 09, 2023, 01:31:34 AM
My advice to traders that are losing is to still continue to trade, but using just 20% while 80% should go into holding. What do you people think about this? Out of 100% fund, what percentage can you advice a trader to use?
Why not hold 100% for long term gains? If they are losing money it doesn't make much sense to continue insisting on this practice. Instead of losing 20% of their portfolio today, they should be profiting 20% more futurely, from long term tradings. I think someone who attempted day trade for a considerable length of time must feel regretful if he calculates how much he has already lost with bad trades. That represents money that could be put in good use if he had simply held for longer, until the market started pumping again. People venturing into daily trading must think carefully if it worths to have more headaches, spend more time to end losing money after all.
2859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Shiba INU tokens continue to rise? on: January 09, 2023, 12:52:57 AM
Team should seriously work for developing the project. Though it is a memecoin but it has a good community support. It needs some use cases for increasing the people who are interested. False promise won't bear good result for this memecoin. I think there are a lot of potentiality if team take this project seriously.
With the team constantly working hard to develop the project plus having a good community it sure is a good mix,
definitely not easy to get people to be interested in the project,
I hope the team can make a breakthrough in developing
Shiba team definitely trying to build something NOW, but the problem is that they had absolutely nothing when they grew so big, and people invested just because of the hype and nothing more.

This means, in order to reach the old levels they used to be, not only we need a big bull run that increases the prices of everything high again, but it also requires Shiba to have something developed to make it cool again. They intended to be "the" ecosystem for all the meme projects, but they are not there at all right now. I am guessing that it's going to take a while for them to actually find something nice, and that means it's going to be pretty difficult for them to get high.
I think it's over. A common altcoin like SHIB which doesn't feature anything original compared to its pairs is used to have a notorious role during only one bull run. There are so many options of cryptos following the same model of SHIB, that next bull run must pick one of those fresh tokens to take to the moon, so the hype potential is bigger. To recycle altcoins is unlikely in my opinion, because people are always looking for something new, launched recently. It's not about efficiency and usage, rather it's all about marketing. And in a specuiative market, marketing is everything...
2860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 09, 2023, 12:28:00 AM
Happened so many times and it happened and always on new casinos or casinos that keep denying payment to their players and they keep giving the same alibis with no solid proof to show, their answers are all same and generic, and no further explanation is given, 1XBIT is notorious on this, they drop a one-liner saying OP cheated we decline his payout and ban him, and that's all there is no further explanation, and we hate this kind of casino, so the community has to step up.
I guess 1xbit isn't an alternative for gamblers when looking on this forum for crypto casinos where they can play and that is thanks to the community's warnings. So as we can see, that is the system working and delivering positive results, as it should be. We don't need to fear untrustworthy casinos, because they are immediately flagged by forum members. We just have to avoid them. It's easy even for newbies to spot the risks of depositing at 1xbit. They see the warnings, check the reason why they were written there, access ANN thread of the casino and see lots of negative reviews of gamblers (who aren't active members of the forum) being scammed and simply turn around and go to the other casinos promoted here.
