2841  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 21, 2022, 12:43:02 AM
~
But, there's a crisis between Russia and Ukraine that most people are predicting that there would be a pump if the war continue. As far as I'm concerned, war is not the answer to all of the problem that's why it needs to be done by debating or discussion.

And $50k is just a picture right now although, it did pump last year though the price seem to be so quick to dump.
The media is hyping about the war but i doubt we will see a full blown war as Russia knows the damage that they could encounter as the US is looking for an opportunity to begin a war and thereby carry out their business interest with Ukraine. If a real war breaks out then the other financial market will go down and you should expect the cryptocurrency market will go down as well as majority will book their profit.
Yes, it is true. There is urge in the war between Ukraine and Russia. No one knows the true reality of cryptocurrency, because market is being dominated by the media. We are in a situation to believe what the media says. It is true that the price of bitcoin is impacted by the war, and it could reach $35k in the following days.

So far the market bloodbath has stop to $38,000, although not good to see the market going below the $40,000 support levels, for now it has settle down and this could be the lowest that we can go with the negative news on the Russia vs Ukraine potential war.

Good news though for those who want to take advantage of the current market situations because BTC is cheap and they can reinvest again. No need to wait for the price to like $32,000 again as I don't think it will happen. This is a good time to buy.
2842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 20, 2022, 02:39:59 AM
^^ I would think that it will be Probellum who is going to happen Casimero's career moving forward. And maybe Casimero will hire someone in-between, and maybe that's where Rachel might enter in the picture. Similar to what Pacquiao did in his career, he has Top Rank but then have Michael Koncz or another Filipino lawyer. And with that meeting, I don't think that we will see Donaire vs Casimero fight in the future. Maybe both Filipinos are targeting Inoue and unseat him in this division.

Yep, probably he needed someone that can really understand the ins and outs of contract before signing it. As we all know that maybe there could be some "lost in translation" along the way, so it's better that he have someone in his shoulder that will look upon and scrutinized and explained it to John Riel that he will understand. So we have like 8 weeks to go, great time to really start that training and peak at the right time for this fight.

Lost in translation is the appropriate words for what's happening to Team Casimero right now. I've read that Sean Gibbons is planning to file a lawsuit against Johnriel to have him replace with Sultan for that championship fight. Damn, this should have not gone this far if only they have someone explain to Casimero what MP Promotions wants best for his career.

Let's just hope that this fight will proceed and Casimero will still be victorious so he can face Inoue in the future.

Ouch, it Sean Gibbons proceed with his lawsuit then it will be hard for Casimero to move on and fight Butler. So there is a crack right now on Filipino boxers, it seems MP and then Casimero and Donaire on the other hand. Not good for Philippine boxing, they should at least be at one pages for the honor of the country. Maybe they can settle this out of court so that Casimero can fight Butler as scheduled this April.
2843  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear vs Bull : The Beauty Of Cryptocurrency on: February 20, 2022, 02:09:21 AM
Long term institutions never wait in the weekly charts and they prefer riding those wild market trends for average ROI.

Institutional hodlers are more to say like swingers, they don't exit their hodling because small holders are running away from little fluctuations but they understand the same question of fluctuation and they are focused on the long term profit that is why the bear and bull don't matter for institutional hodlers.

And they are smart, waiting for small and average investors to sell their bitcoin at cheap price and they are going to scope it right away. Like what we could be seeing today and throughout next week, the price dip to ~$40,000, meaning most likely there are more sellers in the market right now. And then this institutions are going to take it right away and buy tons again and hold, very simply strategy for them but very effective.
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 20, 2022, 01:40:47 AM

Some information regarding the fight, it can be seen here.
https://champinon.info/schedule/ancajas-vs-martinez/#close

As per the article, the odds of Ancajas is "Ancajas to win: 1/3"... I cannot confirm it since my bookie has not listed the fight yet. By the way, the date in the OP should be changed to February 26.

OP is very active here so he is aware of this discussion I also thought it will happen today together with the Brook-Khan fight but it's two different dates the odds are correct Ancajas is a much better fighter between the two he is a better technical fighter I saw his training and he is very prepared and there's a report that he knocks down his sparring partner causing a commotion after that.

And we all know that if that news is true, then it can happen in real fight, although Martinez is very tough opponent and a knock out might be hard for Ancajas to execute before for sure Martinez will be a tough cookie to crack. Anyhow, we are just weeks away from the fight, trainings has unwind, they might be just looking for the right diet to make the weight next week. Filipinos are excited to see another one of them in the ring in Vegas and for sure they are going to support him.

^
I agree with you both, Bautista Agut this week has performed really well and
seems to have been able to win his matches easy enough bar yesterdays match which
was a close one. I'll be backing him today again.

And Bautista Agut winning the Doha Open, another masterful performance by Agut as he wins in two sets. I thought that this will go Over, but Baustista Agut continue is good showing in this tournament. Although he was broken early in the first and second set, he was able to come back and break even. Probably might be good to look at him in the next tournament that he enters as he might pull some big upset.
2846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 20, 2022, 12:44:58 AM
It's over now, Kell Brook beats Khan when the referee stop the fight at 6th rounds. There was no resistance from Khan, yes he still has quick hands, but once Brook gets going and started to hit Khan, Amir's body language has change. I gave all the rounds to Kell Brook prior to the stoppage of the referee.

It's just a matter of time before Brook found that perfect opening and then knock the hell of out Khan, so good intervention by the referee to stop it. And you can see that there are no objection from Khan and his corner because they know that they are really down on scorecard and Amir is getting weaker by every round. Congrats to those who beat on Brook the votes shows the intelligent of boxing community here as the vote is like 2:1 for Brook to win.
2847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 19, 2022, 03:28:04 AM
I can't believed that Garcia has choosen Joe Goosen as his trainer for this fight. I mean he has been with Eddy Reynoso, the trainer of Canelo Alvarez and it seems he is doing good for Ryan and Alvarez and Garcia is very close.

That's why I was surprised to see Canelo criticizing Garcia at one point. Maybe he already severed his tie with Reynoso or if this is just a one time trainer with Goosen.

There should be no bitterness or something related to that. Everything changes or unexpected things really happened. Regardless of the history or issues with the trainer, the important part is, if they will be a big help to those who hired their service.

Ryan Garcia, whatever the reason he made that selection should not be a problem.

Let's see at some point if their tandem will make Ryan a much better fighter.

I didn't say though that there is bitterness from Ryan Garcia, I'm just surprised by the move and then seeing Canelo going into public and saying things against Garcia might have been the trigger point.

@Kasabus - yeah, for sure this will be a test for Garcia, but I don't think that the rounds an be extended. I'm seeing Garcia maybe winning by less than 8 rounds?
2848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter now supports Ethereum wallets on: February 19, 2022, 02:46:59 AM
Cool, but not so cool, you know why? It's because of the gas fees issues that Ethereum has been experiencing for the longest time now. So I don't know if Twitter take this into consideration or they are oblivious of the gas fees that they think users of their platform are going to use it as tips. But for us who have been in crypto, nah, it's not going to work for them and it could back fire.
2849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price once goes into consolidation in a critical area where speculator on: February 19, 2022, 02:03:42 AM
I wonder what was the reason for the current price drop from 44K to 40K USD.

Others say it's because of the looming war, so the whole financial market around the world crashes, including Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin market isn't ready for a bull run.Historically February isn't one of best months for Bitcoin(even though historical data doesn't matter that much). There are some bullish news coming from Russia and Ukraine(even though I don't trust those bullish news),but the Bitcoin price reacted with a drop.
There's nothing important going on in the world of Bitcoin,so this price drop could be explained with normal price volatility.More sellers want to sell, but less buyers want to buy.
I'm still optimistic about a bull run happening during the spring, but it's OK if 2022 turns out to be a bearish year for BTC.We will be waiting for another ATH in 2023 or 2024.

Yeah, I wouldn't put too much expectations for this year to have a bull run like last year. This is supposedly a bearish year and we are already seeing some signs because as early as January up to the present, the price is not really going up an we even had the lowest low at $32,000-$33,0000.
2850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 19, 2022, 01:14:28 AM
^^ It was not a very easy game for Bautista Agut as he has to come from behind to win against Karen and move into the finals. He lost the first set and then comes back,  2-6, 6-3, 7-5 score.

So he will be facing  Basilashvili in the finals. Basilashvili beats Rinderknech in the other semis in straight sets. I thought that Rinderknech will have a good chance to win this game.

And with the finals set, I will go with Baustista Agut at Over 21.5.

Here is the official weigh in of the fight, the contractual weight is 149 lbs:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKe9D0zpPwM

They obviously don't like each other as they bark in the face-off. but this is going to happen in about 24 hours.

Best of luck to everyone who are going to bet on this fight.  Grin

Have you all seen the crowd the place is full of boxing fans these two really earned their name in that country, there's a lot of hype and support coming from the boxing community, I'm glad they both made the weight this is a fight two decades in the making I hope I can get a live feed on this fight although not a championship but it generates a lot of interest.

Yes, as expected, fans of both fighters are there to support them. It's not championship fight but you can feel it in the crowd though, lots of shouting, cameras so for sure not just in UK but in other parts of the world, it generates a lot of interest because this two are rivals. And this is a winner take all fight, unless there so much money that the winner will allow a second fight, whoever it is.
2853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto asset prices weaken on: February 18, 2022, 03:19:12 AM
It's not just crypto market that has weaken or lost so much value in the last 24 hours, even the stock market crashes today due to the news of the looming war in Russia.

So that's worrisome for the majority and perhaps it trigger another sell-off in the market. On the other hand, maybe Russians and Ukrainians will see the potential of hedging their wealth on crypto. So we will see if there will be lingering effects in the next two days.
2854  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: February 18, 2022, 02:29:24 AM
Bitcoin is staying above $40,000 right now despite losing more than 7% in a just 24 hours. This is a hard test for this resistance turned support. This is not a highly tested support by the way. It could easily break. We remember how the price just breezed through $40,000 right after it was broken. Now, it is being tested. I hope it won't break. This is more or less a strong fall now. But I am not expecting the price to fall down all the way to $30,000. That's too far down.

Correct, their is tension around the world and all the markets have been severely affected by it. Currently, the price is still above $40,000 but it is on a very dangerous position. Usually these whole number support doesn't end very well, meaning it can be broken very quick. And the only thing we can do is hope that it will hold for at least 48 hours and then see how it will pan out next week.
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 18, 2022, 01:40:41 AM
Final press conference of the fight:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v8qrcdNnNg

Both predicted a knock out victory, Khan says that Brook is obsessed with him and has been a fanboy. And he did train in the US with Team Crawford and will put Brook on his place. Brook simply said that he will go for the knock out. And both predicted that this is going to be a war.

With about to happen in this match, we may indeed see a toe-to-toe fight if both sides are well-prepared.
This is good for the boxing fans, at least, our time will not be wasted to watch their fight.
We may possibly see an upset if Khan is very confident with himself about his training.
But Brook is still the favorite of bookies here. Upset can always happen anyway.

Yeah, with too much animosity between the two way back, (Brook telling story about their amateur days), for sure this is going to be a explosive fight, and we will see moments wherein they are going to fight toe to toe, and you really can't imagine how the loser will take this fight because there is too much in the line although this two boxers are way past their primes already.
2856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 18, 2022, 01:04:56 AM
Luckily I didnt put a wager on either Murray or van de Zandschulp. Bautista Agut
really blew Andy away in that match, I thought it would be a close one, but not.

Same here, I thought that Andy might have a good chance to at least score an upset win.

But to everyone's surprised, it seems that the didn't have any during that game because it's not even close. And as what we have discussing before, Andy is really way off and no longer can compete with this young generation of players.
The difference between Andy Murray and Bautista agut is just a year's difference. The match is completely one sided. 6-0, 6-1 which is a big blow. This was his worst defeat since 2014. Roger Federer recorded similar victory of 6-0, 6-1 against Andy Murray during the ATP finals held in London, 2014.

Speaking of Bautista-Agut, another huge win against Fokina 6-1, 6-1, it looks like he is destroying everyone big time.

He will be facing Khachanov next, who beat Cilic in three sets, losing the first one and then winning the last 2 sets, so it's a comeback win for him.
2857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 18, 2022, 12:38:24 AM
I also have no doubt that Ryan Garcia will once again prevail over his opponent this time. I don't even understand that of all the possible opponents of Garcia, Tagoe was chosen. Tagoe seems not experienced or tested enough to finally face the rising star. He will probably be schooled in this fight before getting knocked out.

To those who hope for an upset, Tagoe at 6.60 is really attractive odds. To those who are sticking with the favorite, betting on specific KO round for Garcia will most probably be the choice.

With the new additional trainer Hall of Fame trainer Joe Goossen for Ryan Garcia camp plus the overwhelming advantage on skills, That 6.60 is a sure trap odds for gambler that expecting an upset fight. Ryan Garcia has a lot of time to train plus the fact that he pick the most unexpected contender for his too long delayed order match. I believe this match is just a preparation for his upcoming match with Gervonta Davis probably on the final quarter of this year. The odds is very one-sided so I will not risk money on this match and just watch it in my couch.

2858  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: February 17, 2022, 04:22:57 AM
In my opinion, the price of bitcoin will still experience a bullish trend in the midst of a green market like today. Although later the price will drop occasionally and that is only natural because crypto prices often experience rapid increases and decreases. Therefore it seems that the next bitcoin price target will be around $48k within this week.

There will be a lot of ups and downs before we can get to $48,000 at least. It seems that the market has stagnated to $43,000 for this week. Maybe the bulls doesn't have the final push or the market is on a wait and see basis. Usually this happens if we go and try to break a big barrier like $45,000 and then we fail. So we will see if the bullish trend will continue, but I wouldn't be surprised if we are going on a sideways pattern.

True. We are used to witness volatility in Bitcoin market that I consider an opportunity to make money by proper risk management and avoiding impulsive decisions. last week Bitcoin was down because of negative news coming from Ukraine but this weeks seems good and most likely we will see closing of  weekly candle above 46K.

I think it is still $45,000 to broken first, and then we can talk about $46,000 and higher.

The Ukraine news seems to be fading away as the market perform very good the start of the week. Hopefully we can close this week with a good rebound and who knows, there could be another shock for us this week. Because as far as TA (RSI strength) is concern, this could be another bull run for us.
The current price is $44,212 so its already close breaking its next resistance at $45k price level. If there will be a good push by next week like having positive news that will leave huge impact, then bitcoin will not only hit $45k but it will be heading for a $50k price level. I guess this time, having a bull trap is less likely to be more possible since the market has started to be more stable again, along with potential altcoins too. At the end of the day, there will only be two possible paths, that we are heading to another bull season, or we are heading back into another price correction if the market is affected again by the insignificant news and updates.

We do hope that it will break that big barrier because so far in the last two day,s the price keeps on teh $44,000 range and there is not enough push heading to $45,000. We even had the price going below to $43,500 so I guess we will have to wait for that $50,000 price against. I will agree that we need some positive news to break that barrier, but so far we haven't had one so maybe we will see it trading sideway for the rest of the week.
2859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 17, 2022, 03:41:25 AM
^^ And probably the purse split as well, Garcia will definitely have the biggest percentage, so it's a win win for him in this fight. Making good money and then showing his talent against someone that they projected that he will knock out. And then we have some boxing medid portraying Tagoe as someone who has the talent to upset the come backing Ryan, I don't think it's going to happen.
2860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 17, 2022, 02:57:42 AM
Good news, Casimero is now in the US to train for this upcoming fight. I just hope that Mo Heredia will still be his conditioning coach and nutritionist so that this time around no more problems that will occur during the weigh-in.

I just heard Jason Casimero (in tagalog) that they have a new promoter so this will eliminate the rumors that he will be back with MP Promotions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypjEbt13Ml8

That's good news, haven't check the video yet (maybe later), is Memo Heredia been Casimero's strength and conditioning coach? if yes then definitely he is big time already. As for the new promoter, what happen to Probellum?

In any case, I'm not sure but there was a time that Heredia was also Donaire's conditioning coach so I will suspect that he had sign with Probellum and really separating from MP.
