2841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The World’s Most-Preferred Cryptocurrency Isn’t Bitcoin on: October 02, 2019, 12:43:00 PM
Before I even click the link...Coinmarketcap data?
Bingo, what else!

Now, before anything stupid gets posted here:

Checking the pairs usdt is traded against by volume and exchanges, the first 10 and 19 out of 20 are USTD/BTC.
So...no BTC...no tether!

Second, just because some shady exchanges inflate their trading numbers this doesn't make tether the "world" most preferred cryptocurrency. When tether will have as many shops accepting only tether as bitcoin does, then it will be.
Till then, it's just another shitty stable coin.

And yeah, a website ranked on the 250000 place in the world by traffic is doing 600 million $ in volume.
Legit!!!

I agree with you 100%, a lot of exchanges fake their trading volumes and I think this isn't a new thing: https://www.coindesk.com/fake-volume-on-crypto-exchanges-isnt-the-half-of-it
Also there is a little talk about tether.
And also again, tether isn't a stablecoin at all. But if we talk about it's popularity, then tell me, are these businessmen sane when they prioritize bitcoin over other cryptocurrencies? If any shop or business accepts cryptocurrency, that's bitcoin at first, also it's possible to pay taxes with bitcoin in Uhio, not with tether, yeah, it's like that.
2842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premium Domain Name is the Best Asset for a Gambling Startup on: October 02, 2019, 11:37:10 AM
I can't agree with you 100% because for example let's take blockchain.info <-- They were biggest in their niche with that domain name too (I know they bought .com now). So .info didn't ruin their success.
On another hand I don't like when you compare sportsbet to fortunejack, because at some point they are very different, sportsbet only aims sportsbooks and fortune jack is more wide in game segments.
Do you know income of each casino? Because I highly doubt FJ is over sportsbet if we consider the fact that sportsbet has become very popular and they signed contract with some great premier league clubs.
2843  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Bring change into Africa? on: October 02, 2019, 11:02:35 AM
OP wait wait, Africa was great until.... When was it great? I don't remember such fact in history. You mentioned that world is changing and blockchain brings decentralization back, yeah, world is developing higher and higher but have no idea how blockchain technologies will be able to bring decentralization in real life. Also what powers does Africa has to gain back? Please can you clarify this? Were there big inventors from Africa? Was this country mirror of democracy? Or what power do you mean because this country was poor every time, now other nations are making it much more poor, yeah, I agree with you in that because we get cheap but hard work from them and use it for our own economy. Also there is very low level of education in that country so no...
2844  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How I can build a cryptocurrency exchange ? on: September 30, 2019, 07:31:50 PM
Creating exchange isn't like buying hosting from namecheap, installing wordpress and buying theme from envato, no, it's not just that two clicks.
As I see you want secure exchange and are looking for script, even binance and other top exchanges aren't secure and how will publicly availablr nulled scripts will be secure.
For running an exchange, you need a team of professional developers who will take care of website and always try to find and fix bugs.
Never forget what regulations will be set on you, you have to consider and protect those steps.
2845  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading crypto independently considered a business? on: September 30, 2019, 04:40:24 PM
I guess it depends on country, yeah? What if you are trading through bank? (Yeah, some banks offer bitcoin exchange services). So I guess this action is pretty similar of national currency / usd exchange, do you pay fees for that? Personally in my country there are no fees on it from buyer. So I think you don't have to pay anything when you trade with crypto but still, maybe it depends on country and rules will be different in your one.
Don't know exactly what happens when you use international exchanges but still consider that in some countries, you pay zero fee for profit from foreign country.
2846  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Be careful of Bitcoins giveaways that are too good to be true on: September 30, 2019, 03:38:57 PM
It offers 2X of the amount of money you send in.

I can't believe that people fall in those scams. Have you ever seen in real life someone tell you "Transfer me some money in my bank account. I will transfer you back 2x."

Why would someone do this?
People are insane with bitcoin...

Bitcoin is not a tool to make people get rich quick. It is just a currency. It works as a currency.
I have heard very often when people say: Lend me some money to play poker, I'll win and pay you back 2x. But as a result, they always lose and they blame luck, but the most curious thing here is that they always win with last few bucks (as they state).
Problem is wish of easy money, no one wants work, are lazy for that so when someone offers such proposal, it's very hard for super lazy person to deny it or even think whether it's scam or not, they hear what they wish and then try their best to believe themselves that it is truth and it can't be scam.
I think it's seriously mental problem that people really fall in such scams.
2847  Economy / Gambling / Re: This might be a different approach to gambling on: September 26, 2019, 09:17:29 PM
Dear Everyone,

We have been working on a free to use online casino with zero house egde!  After weeks of building we are proud to announce to you we have launched our beta version. But please keep in mind this is only the beta and we will we be continuously working on this project. Make sure you check it out even if you are not an gambler! We appreciate all feedback and suggestions. gl hf
https://www.fifty-fifty.casino

Sincerely,

Fifty-Fifty
OP at first I want to tell you that zero house edge means going bankrupt for casino, so if you business is planned on short-term total loss, then it's good project.
Don't take it wrongly but you can achieve nothing without house edge. As I see max bet is 10$, this stops serious gamblers to gamble on your website and more likely your audience will be faucet catcher and players. That's not good for business too. I think it will be much more beneficial if you put ads on your website and offer people to play with just points, without any deposit or set memberships (but this last one won't be beneficial).
2848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: September 26, 2019, 08:57:01 PM
Dangers inside crypto investing
People may ask: Should I do invest in the cryptocurrencies by using my life earning and savings? Or should I take a loan out? Since I heard that the returns are so great!”

First off, that is really an extremely horrible idea. Cryptocurrency volatility can kill your pocket and rapidly reduce all your hard-earned investments.

Read : https://paperblockchain.com/what-are-the-dangers-in-cryptocurrency-investing/
It's not dangerous to invest in cryptocurrencies, it's just riskier. Problem is that some people who invest in crypto are dangerous themselves, why? Because I have seen some people on reddit for example who put house in a loan and invested all money in bitcoin. Just don't know what to call such action and the most sad fact is that that person did it when price was nearly 20k, he choose worst moment in his life.
It's another sad fact how blindly people fall in nice words. Just tell them to invest in something that will give them huge profit and they are ready for putting money in it. That's very sad fact, even nothing to talk about crypto, demands are still high on HYIPs. Crypto's risk is similar of USD investments and hyips are out of control.
2849  Economy / Economics / Re: Is cryptocurrency help to expand the world business? on: September 26, 2019, 08:00:17 PM
To be fair can't say that it's helping businesses to expand. There is nothing wrong with this coin but problem is that it's not adopted the way it has to be. For example there are great businesses that connects world like ebay but it doesn't accept bitcoin, google services too - they don't accept bitcoin. What we get as a result? Some local companies accept bitcoin with hope that they'll increase number of local customers. So with current situation, it seems like cryptocurrencies aren't considered for business expand, maybe because they aren't so popular and there isn't huge demand on them but it's what it's as for now.
2850  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BITCOINSPEAK.ORG l Custom Theme l BTC Forums on: September 26, 2019, 07:46:11 PM
At first I think it's not gramatically correct to include speak in that sentence, so not a good catch and also seems you are trying bitcointalk's style which is bad if you want to be better and successful than your opponent.
Can't say that you'll achieve anything with that website and I think you know that too. Design isn't good and even if it was, it still means nothing because there is a huge resources stored on bitcointalk, discussion around bitcoin and cryptocurrencies from it's creation time.
Also if you still think that design is your key, don't forget that bitcointalk may come with new forum too, it was available in past for view, now it's closed but check on archives: beta.bitcointalk.org
2851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most popular payment methods to buy Bitcoin in 2019 on: September 26, 2019, 07:12:18 PM
Didn't know about your website until now, just got interested in it because ranking was done according to that but I would make one modification, you have to change title "the most popular payment methods to buy bitcoin in 2019", this isn't correct because statistics is according to your website. Otherwise I have never seen Yandex Money, Apple Pay and almost 90% of your listed methods to be even a little bit popular.
Also still hard to understand what you mean in popular methods because buying bitcoin with paypal is associated with some risks, logically such payment method can't be popular.
2852  Economy / Gambling / Re: AskGamblers.com 🔥 Presents the best bitcoin casinos 🔥 Top bitcoin games on: September 26, 2019, 06:32:13 PM
Oh op, isn't there special section for bitcoin casinos to find them more easily? Btw I made them manually available by getting this url: https://www.askgamblers.com/deposit-methods/bitcoin
As far as I see there are only bitcoin casinos which include slots, sportsbook, live casino and etc, seems dice websites aren't in your list. Also somehow didn't find stake.com website because that's like all in one casino service. What about to include casino service providers in your list and reviews? For example Evolution Gaming, Playtech and similar ones? I think it will be cool and interesting at the same time.
2853  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How To Use Bitcoin (Website) on: September 26, 2019, 05:58:03 PM
Hello guys, I have a question, I work for a company that sells party products, this is our website: https://www.lichtgevendearmbandjes.nl and my question is this; how can I use/apply bitcoin to our website? also, please let me know if there are some advantages on using this payment method?
If you want to use bitcoin payments, like other methods too, you have to find payment gateway service provider and some users above me already stated some of them, it's easy job when we talk about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in overall, so I'll turn on your next question.
Advantage of using/adding this payment method is that the more payment methods are available, the more comfortable it is for customers and every payment method leads to a potential customer, maybe I don't have visa card but have union? Or even opposite. Maybe I have visa but hesitate to pay with it for some reason but oh, there is bitcoin which I was looking for.
I don't want to say that bitcoin will skyrocket your sales, maybe it won't benefit you and 1 month may pass without any bitcoin transaction but by adding it, you lose at least nothing.
2854  Economy / Speculation / Re: I wan't to believe on: September 26, 2019, 04:21:06 PM
If you are under 10 years olds , fairly tales are nice.

But when you grow up ,
basing your life and money on the ramblings of retards claiming a get rich scheme will change your life ,
will bring you nothing but poverty and problem.

If some jackass is at a street corner screaming how if you give him $20 , he will make you rich next week,
don't take it as prophecy, take it for what it is , an asshat scamming you out of your money so he can have it.

Bitcoin is the same.  Tongue
It's sad but fairy tales are still nice and attractive, somehow true in eyes of lot of people (cloud mining, hyips and etc).
But can't say that there is a same scenario here because do you remember what was reaction when people were saying bitcoin will reach 20k when price was even 600$? And remember how soon that happened? This man's prediction doesn't sound illogical, I think there is high chance that will happen in near future plus if we consider the fact that we have upcoming halving which will hit soon, this was also one of the major factor which lead bitcoin's price to rise from 600$ to 20K usd, old halving caused very positive feelings among people and hope we will see the same in near future too, otherwise it's not even possible I think.
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Online Casino has the Most Fun Games? Recommendations? on: September 26, 2019, 02:54:55 PM
Like many of you, I've been struggling to find genuinely fun games to play at online casinos.

I've already gotten tired of crash type games, so have moved onto quirky card games.

I'm currently having fun playing Bankers Bull at BetHash, but looking to try out some other cool games too.

Any recommendations?
Do you know new gambling website micerace.com? They have mice race in live and you can bet at them, personally I didn't find that funny but maybe you will, who knows.
Haven't seen any new game that's different from others, btw bustabit is good too. For me some bonus and features makes game funny too, for example free wager contest on bitsler and free slot spins on other websites.
Also I found it funny when you play blackjack with live dealers, you'll find dealer with good sense of humor and you can really have a fun while playing it.
2856  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ebay-like website that accepts bitcoin? on: September 26, 2019, 02:27:06 PM
I am wondering if there is an auction website like ebay, or anything similar that accepts bitcoins.
And please can you tell us what is demand? Because if you are looking for wide options, there is nothing that can change ebay and if you want to sell something, I highly doubt you'll achieve huge audience for your product, currently nothing can change ebay. But if you own for example Casascius physical bitcoins, then this forum is amazing place to sell too because a lot of people buy and sell it through auction.
Since nothing can take place of ebay as for now, better to exchange your fiat into bitcoin.
2857  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fiat-to-crypto: is it safe? on: September 26, 2019, 01:55:42 PM
Personally, I believe that both fiat centralized exchanges and bitcoin debit cards providers defeat the whole purpose of crypto, and I would rather use on decentralized/P2P platforms instead. But there are many people who don't mind going through these KYC procedures just because using these exchanges is more convenient and much faster.

These platforms are clearly not safe, because you never know what your data are being used for and even If nothing malicious is being done from the service's part, there is always a possibility of your data being hacked/leaked.
Cmon man, you can't run official exchange without requesting KYC documents from your clients, also it's better for governments and financial institutes to have imagination about how money moves from their exchange which mostly includes illegal things too. Just see, almost every official exchange (if not 100%) requires KYC, otherwise you can't run that business.
Still that's not safe OP, your data may be leaked and a lot of exchanges have that issues, I don't know why but seems their security isn't still good.
For getting fiat without KYC, better to ask people there fiat/btc exchange, for example skrill, paypal and etc, you will find someone with whom you'll negotiate.
2858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Supply is meeting demand. The number of Bitcoin ATMs worldwide is up over 500% on: September 25, 2019, 11:50:45 PM
Hey, it's Bitrawr. I've been following the Bitcoin ATM landscape for a while now and recently drew attention to the latest figures.

The number of Bitcoin ATMs from September 2016 to September 2019 has increased by over 500%. As of now, there are currently 5,457 Bitcoin ATMs globally. I believe that this is indicative of the strong demand for anonymously transacting between fiat/bitcoin.

https://twitter.com/bitrawr/status/1174682600834764803
Well, maybe supply is meeting demand but in overall bitcoin ATM's don't meet our requirements and to be fair as I see bitcoin ATMs are rarely used, just their locations are expanding, will be curious to see what's average profit from bitcoin ATMs in different countries. They need to change fees, it's insane, that's maybe why I very rarely see btc ATMs used by people. Almost everyone prefers to convert bitcoin into usd and then withdraw by bank's ATM they are using.
But still curious, why so much growth, I think quality over quantity will be better ration than current one we are seeing.

But a topic is still here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=93110.msg1027941#msg1027941

The archived topic comes from the Russian forum. This man takes any opportunity to talk bad about BTC or BTC related stuff

Quote
Maybe it has something to do with issues of his own Games gambling website being accused of SCAM
No mate, this is Roger Ver lifestyle (misleading people, lying, posting fake pictures, fake events,...)
Shady behaviors again, I think he is doing his best in destroying his reputation rather than others'. I don't know why this man believes that shady promotion works, no, it lessens your chances because as time goes, everyone sees that you are liar. I think this man is even trying to sink his project.
Btw did Roger forget that he was running signature campaign on bitcointalk? If this website is bad and useless and his forum is better, then just tell me, why to promote on bitcointalk? Especially when you consider this forum and owners your and your loved one BCH's enemy.
2860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is what every country will do on: September 25, 2019, 10:34:35 PM
The most curious thing here is that Money Launderers run anti-money laundering regulations and as always, they blame cryptocurrencies (Do they forget Deutchebank and others?).
Well, at some point yeah, I agree that cryptocurrencies are used for money laundering by a lot of individuals and it really required some actions to stop them. I think Lithuania have to grow base money for reporting because they have to consider that most of cryptocurrency users are investors too and invest decent amount of money which will lead to a higher $ in transactions.
