So happy to see this coming up finally, and yes, you can take me as a participant. We have 1 month left to pay so I will take my time obviously lol

Barcelona all the way, fellas! And that big prize spot is pretty amazing. Can we get a list of participants up with confirmed and paid already so we can ramp up more interest? Smiley
2843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Ready Nation - 2022 on: July 31, 2022, 04:37:44 AM
I don't really trust some of these stats. Singapore is very crypto ready and I think for sure Indonesia Vietnam Thailand Malaysia, they had the facilities and even some crypto and blockchain use and ATMs years ago but no one used them to they just got out of order.

If I went to Bulgaria or UAE, and I have been UAE several times I honestly don't recall a single Bitcoin sign anywhere.
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: July 29, 2022, 05:29:16 AM
Chelsea will have to beat 4 to 5 clubs to win Premier League but in La Liga, Barcelona will have to beat 2 Madrid clubs to win La Liga.

I prefer to think we just need to do out jobs against the Elches and the Valencias and the spoiler clubs. It's usually there where we lose a lot of points. But of course, truth about the Madrid clubs. It's true we had a nice Clasico win last season but that was the first in maybe 3 or 4 seasons I can remember.
2845  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Blog article 🤓 5 reasons to gamble with USDT 💡 on: July 28, 2022, 11:53:42 AM
-snip-
Huh?

USDT is always being minted and burned, depending on the asset circulation out or in. They minted the token need asset, which is FIAT (USD) into version token USDT. Stable-coin with FIAT asset backup still the strong asset until now.

People are more worried, the asset being locked rather than the topic you're talking about. Since you can check on tresure asset TETHER in their site.

I guess he thought they just mint it as they wish and desire, kinda like the way BNB mints and burns etc.

Generally I don't like these type of coins but stablecoins really are just a crypto form of fiat to me, and Tether's probably the only one I'd ever use since they're semi regulated by US government, and need 1:1 real US dollars per USDT.

@Wind_FURY I think the same. A lot of people made a lot of money in the last bull run, but they thought 100k was a sure thing, because come on, they said, surely 3x from last ATH wasn't the only thing right?

Then they got greedy, leveraged everything into Defi and APYs, oh man, they lost everything.

Gambling? Trading? Any difference? lol
2847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 24, 2022, 10:34:14 AM
In PSG when a certain player is in the final third of the field they really don't want to look up and pass the ball.

But in Barcelona, it almost felt like Messi knew what his teammates were about to do. And he positioned himself accordingly. The frustration of Lionel Messi is quite visible at times in PSG. Honestly, I don't think his poor form is apt to change unless he is playing the passing game that he is used to. He is not in his element unless he does so.

Spot on observation! They train you at Barca to always look up, so you have a team at least the top half of it constantly looking and being aware of space and opportunity, that's why the off ball movement is so great.

PSG players tend to even want to look down or pass instinctively, and it doesn't come off the way they expect. Messi seems to be the only one doing thinking 10 seconds ahead and everyone is just living in the moment.

I'd like to be a part of it. I'm also a Laliga fan, though I only watch the important matches, compared to the EPL, which I watch nearly 86% of the games. If I were to join a Laliga pool, I would base most of my predictions on bookmaker odds because I don't follow most of the teams there. I'll decide whether to join the fantasy pool or Laliga in a few days. I'd also be running a daily 1.50 odd free tips challenge on Telegram for those interested.
So nearly 86% of the games? Really curios how you worked out that number and then added nearly in front of it Smiley Cracked me up really good.

So share some forum link if you are documenting that challenge here, or maybe telegram invitation if it is only there. I believe you have my nick on telegram so you can send it to me there as well.

That means only about 1 and a half games per round that you miss, even I'm hardly at 30% of La Liga games. I'd watch my own IF I'm awake or if it's available, and then MAYBE one other game if I am also not half asleep lol

igehhh seems to be a superhuman guy or maybe he records all the simultaneous games to watch Wink Chelsea supporter who do you usually like in Spain?

There's always a catch when it comes to efforts like these though, I always think so. The real non profits are the guys right here on this forum, helping people out with Bitcoin, helping people understand and use.

It's kinda the fault of all the Matt Damons telling people to be bold and buy crypto.

Great. More unnecessary "analyst" articles. They don't mean crap but yet we keep posting 'em here. Sigh.

Hey, I need my analyst fix. I'm also so glad now to see some news reports actually start off by saying some synonym of famous like 'wellknown'  or 'active on Twitter' so I know I'm reading an opinion of a guy who's popular.

Some even make it a point to tell me how many thousand followers they have on Twitter, what great times lol

Many of the other plebs' problem is that they treat Technical Analysis as a Crystal Ball and believe that it's sure to make a profit. They deposit their money, then use 20x leverage. The analysis might be right, but taking 20x leverage will possibly liquidate you in minutes if the market corrects.
Indeed, the problem usually is that plebs come in during a bull run, in which case 90% of TAs work (price will always go up in rally just a matter of time). They just sit and wait, and don't put stops, and of course the TA prediction expires but the price reaches it anyway, and they think they hit a gold mine Wink

For weekly contest you need about 1btc wagered to be in top 10 while last week I had to bet 3btc to take 7th place
The competition is very fierce especially at the beginning of the month I personally avoid the fight at the beginning of the month
Oh yes the third party game has been fixed at least we waited up to 10 hours lol

Yeah, it used to be even 200 or 300 mbtc can get you Top 10 but now 1 BTC is not guaranteed. I think a few weeks ago you needed 1.8 BTC just to be #10! Good for the site of course Smiley

I actually always assumed most people in EPL pool was also going to join, last season I thought only because these pools were just for the first time sponsored by Sportsbet but I guess the majority of football followers don't really see much interest in football leagues that is not EPL.

We should try our best to convert some, like Welsh hilarious LFC_Bitcoin igehhh and rdbase are the loyalists of Premier League, why not try these 2 also, there is free contest every week too for extra freebets Smiley
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: July 22, 2022, 08:47:16 AM
^^^ interesting view, I would say that Bundesliga is for me bigger than Calcio (not just by teams, by results lately as well)
La Liga is bigger than both, but has really big quality gap between few clubs on the top, and teams from position 6 till relegation

this season in Calcio could see several teams fighting for title, and I will probably put something small on Lazio @51, to make it more interesting, with Maximiano on goal, I think that they are bound to at least 15+ clean sheets this season

I think Bundesliga is just bigger because German tv has more broadcast rights and beam it to a lot of places, unlike Italian, based on my experience going to resorts and hotels, they always have a menu and TV in German but very few have Italian.

In this sense even French football has bigger presence and perceived bigger quality.

But I think Italian football especially in recent times is really what I would say is high technical quality, maybe not speed and aggression like in Bundesliga.

Anyway, Lazio is nice, I hope they win too!
2855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell or keep holding HEX? already gained 50x on: July 22, 2022, 06:51:23 AM
No Utility = not real = no value = pure speculation
But people get paid out in HEX, not ETH no? So your argument is wrong. That said, I do think the original contract lacks utility and that's why I think MAXX finance could surpass HEX in market cap and adoption.

Yes but none of that is worth anything unless you swap for it at liquidity pools. Where do you think the supply on ETH comes from to put up the HEX/ETH liquidity pools? That is the real pay out. HEX is not a pay out. Real payout is ETH. I guess now even more token pairs but I am assuming since they took people's ETH, the first pair must have been HEX/ETH.

And that fits my whole point of utility. If you cannot use a coin/token other than to TRADE for it, it has zero utility.

Can MAXX finance be used to pay for anything at all in this world?

My argument is not wrong, it is semantics.

And you still skipped around the fact that you replied to a 1-year old post Wink Why lol

Given for free but also sold for eth? That seems confusing but locking the coin and then getting paid is called staking. You mentioned something about ubi, I already heard it before in good dollar. It's a kind of crypto project but they don't have a value until now even the project was released long time ago.

Hex may not have a utility but this is still real and they have value (price) although yes they are purely based on speculation. Many are saying that the coin was a scam. That might be true. The ones that sell the coin early when it was still pumping are lucky but those who didn't, they better sell it now, when the coin still has a value.

What's so difficult to get about that?

HEX was airdropped: free.
You could also obtain it by " investing" ETH : sold.

Then because you couldn't do crap with it, you could only stake it. WOW magic utility.

Awesome stuff Karl, I'm definitely in on this. Kinda "relieved" to see the wagering requirement has gone up, hopefully this means fewer raffle tickets are distributed and more chances for us Wink

Anyone else going for Qatar raffle? There's still another round after this too if I'm not mistaken, so loads of time to get the deposits in and play.

Hello! I have made my payments to both Italian and Spanish pools. I know I hardly post in here since this is a "fun for me and easy to do" league, but I think I'll do my best to be more active here as well. And in fact I think I did better here and in English pools than my own favorite Spanish. Strange life isn't it?

Anyway I already sent my PM to Trofo, good luck everybody, NOT!!

It's probably better for PlanB to develop a model on how to beat Black Jack consistently. Hahaha.

I believe there helpful ways that Technical Analysis can be used as a "guide" in investing. BUT, I don't like short term/day-trading kind of Technical Analysis, I like looking at the Pi Cycles, and 200-Week SMA as my guides. 90% of "traders" who try to win vs. each other lose. Some of those who make profit, proft less than long term HODLers.

Ops didn't see this comment yesterday Wink

I always see TA as fun and entertaining, never as a guide and definitely not a rulebook. Just been too long seeing all kinds of TA and if you take it as fun, you enjoy it. Take it anything more serious and you'll end up disappointed.

PlanB needs a PlanC lol

The last hour is always the hardest. When you reach to 10 minutes, it's almost always guaranteed, maybe like one spot would be different but when it's that close, it's nearly done. Just realize that its not going to be easy up until last hour though, because at that time you know the whales will come in during the last hour and change some stuff. The top place gets so much more during the last hour as well for example.

I agree that even last 30 seconds do matter, but not as much as last hour, so if you managed to be 7th from last 59 minutes to last 1 minute all same position, last 30 seconds won't change much if you ask me, it would be easier to hold onto that for that while.

The last 10 minutes and even the last 60 seconds honestly, people can open 3 games and dump max bet on them repeatedly to wipe you out. I have speed problems even on 1 tab, what more to say 2 or 3 tabs and 3 different game providers lol

The only way for the small players is to start early and start strong, and as I said, not to watch others and just do your own thing.

Seeing as that you're a signature campaign participant for "Appreciate Coin" I guess I shouldn't expect any less of you;)

I wonder what "progress" you read from HEX. You know it was a pyramid scheme from the start right? Buy more, convince others to buy in and lock it for as long as possible, and then hope you cash out before others do?
I wouldn't call it a pyramid scheme because profits are not paid out from other investors, they are paid from inflation and withdrawal fees. HEX was a good idea but did get a lot of flak because of how simple it was and the lack of real world utility. MAXX finance and other newer contracts improve upon HEX by adding additional revenue sources to the protocol and a DAO to manage the project and profit dispersion to stakers.

Apart from replying to one of my posts from 1 year ago, you should have a think about how HEX pays people out.

I can't be bothered right now to look up old articles but even blockchain trails showed that indeed, money (ETH) came from new investors.

HEX was given out for free yes. But it was also sold for ETH (you know, lock ETH and get HEX). They gave much more APY for those who locked longer, but paid out a lot also... from where do you think the ETH came to pay people out?

It got a lot of flak because it was sold as a magic money for free, it was sold as Universal Basic Income, when it was nothing like a real UBI scheme should look like.

You can put on make up all you want on a pyramid scheme (no real value other than people dumping more money into it and hoping they get out before it crashes) but you just said it yourself. Put 100 DAOs, put a governance fund, put an insurance fund, add all kinds of revenues, you will still end up failing if there's no utility. Look at Terra. Look at HEX now even, over 90% away from ATH.

No Utility = not real = no value = pure speculation
