2861  Economy / Economics / Re: PNB looks into use of bitcoin! on: March 20, 2018, 11:15:56 PM
I already heard this rumor before but I'm glad that it really seems legit now

This will not only benefit PNB by means of attracting more future customers but also on behalf of Filipinos who still don't know about cryptocurrency because this will serve as a form of endorsement for them hence I'm pretty sure that btc will become more popular here in our country.

But sad to say, this news doesn't affect me at all since I still don't have a bank account but that's okay, at least now I know what is a much better bank to use in the future. For now, I'm already contented with coins.ph but I'm still looking forward into it.
2862  Other / Meta / Re: The reality is 99.9% members can never rank up with the new merit system. on: March 20, 2018, 10:50:44 PM
Despite of seeing lots of NOs in the poll you started, I'm not discouraged at all because I do believe that merit system intend to help us and improve the forum not to harm us. I know that almost all of us seems impossible to rank up but don't lose hope because someone does (I saw lately). If that someone could be able to rank up then for sure it's not impossible for us to do the same. Instead of complaining, let's just continue our good posting habits and be patiently waiting for the blessing that will come to us.
2863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Come Back? on: March 20, 2018, 03:18:30 PM
What?! You exchange your own house for the meantime just to owe some money so that you can invest in crypto?! Shocked Honestly, you are now the worst person I've ever known (no offense sir). I understand you for lending but what I didn't expect is that you will reach this point where your own house is at risk.

Here's my advice, just take a rest because you are now totally damaged by the miseries you encountered. Since you are not earning in crypto world anymore then why don't you quit for the meantime to avoid being drown deeper from your debts. Try another ways to earn money because maybe you're not really destined here in crypto world, but if this is your passion and you are eager to excel here then pursue your goal but make sure you will study harder now because knowledge serves as your shield against scams and this will makes you a wiser crypto holder in the future.
2864  Other / Archival / Re: Finally Sr. Member on: March 20, 2018, 12:02:43 PM
Wow! Congratulations dude. You made me realized that it's absolutely possible to rank up, that I will not be stagnant forever in full member. Honestly your success made me feel jelous a little bit but I will set this as my motivation to write posts with more quality.

Now I promise to myself that I will strive harder in order to become higher ranked member here how long it takes.
2865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: March 20, 2018, 09:37:38 AM
Nope, I don't think Eth has enough power right now to remove Btc from its throne as the King of Crypto, that's pretty obvious right? As we can see, btc was still able to maintain a huge gap on price between eth and other crypto despite of its continuous downfalls recently.

But to be honest, I still see potentials on eth. The most common wallet used here in our country not only now support btc but also eth, therefore, this is definitely a good news because we can conclude that the demand for this coin is now increasing.
2866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DO NOT invest credit money on: March 19, 2018, 11:27:52 PM
I agree with you, you should not do a loan or sell some of your possessions just to invest in crypto. That's definitely a bad idea because there's a tendency that you will not able to pay back those credits since bitcoin's price sometimes inflates and sometimes deflates — meaning, hard to make a profit.

My tip is just invest your own money, the extra money coming from your own pocket and you are willing to take a risk here in crypto world.
2867  Other / Meta / Re: theymos, monetize this forum ;) on: March 18, 2018, 12:52:51 PM
hilariousandco has proposed the idea numerous time but it seems theymos didn't like it. I personally think this is a great idea though, it's better for all those ads money to go to the forum and quality posters rather than the spammer. IIRC he never mentioned why he dropped the idea, so I would like to hear his opinion on this.

What are everyone's ideas for improving post quality?

I have mostly ruled out:

 - Requiring payment to wear sig ads.

Am I the only one who believes that this is a BAD idea?

That will not stop the spammers from paying to have their signatures on but it might discourage quality posters from participating in the forum.

Don't worry, me too. All of us join signature campaigns in order to earn money. How silly to to put a fee on wearing signatures then later paid the one who wear it after advertising. Cheesy In my opinion, this is not the right solution for eradicating shitty posters, if we really need to check all of user's profile one by one then so be it.
Why don't the mods start by disallowing newbies and Jr. members from starting new threads and delete spambait topics at the same time?
I agree with you on deleting spambait topics but prohibiting lower ranks to create threads? No offense but I object. Rank is not a valid basis to tell someone whether he/she has the right to create a thread or not, as long as the one that you created is informative and not same as "what is bitcoin" threads then I don't see any problem with it.
2868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hotels accepting bitcoin on: March 18, 2018, 11:05:32 AM
I was about to seek for further details of this news but I saw nothing on the link you posted. Sad

Anyway, if this news is really true then that's great. I'm sure that bitcoin millionaires out there are very happy since they can now directly use their savings without the need of conversion (from btc to fiat) to experience the extravagant life in Vegas. Aside from rooms and food, much better if casinos in Vegas also adapt the use of bitcoin because I'm sure that they'll have a chance for their earnings to grow bigger than the usual since btc's price increases exponentially.

Imagine that a $5 they earned for selling a red poker chip can become $7 in due time if they sold it in terms of btc but deflation cannot be disregarded so they should learn how to hodl also.
2869  Other / Meta / Re: Why my messages keeps getting deleted on: March 18, 2018, 07:28:30 AM
I can't see the photo you uploaded, I feel bad because maybe that's an important detail of your query.

Anyway, it's not shocking to know if some of your posts are getting deleted because honestly your posts are insignificant (no offense sir). I'm not judging you but it seems that you are only spamming for you to rank up, if my presumption is right then I just want to tell you that you're just wasting your time.

Here's my advice, study more about crypto and try to explore other sections of this forum like Bitcoin Discussions, Economy and Trading Discussions instead of doing one-liner replies on threads about bounty/airdrops which is not totally necessary. Participate in sensible discussions and try to contribute in the forum  by sharing your ideas and inspiring others.
2870  Economy / Economics / Re: after Facebook on: March 18, 2018, 03:04:34 AM
You are right somehow, Facebook and Google's ban on crypto ads is good in a sense that scam related incidents greatly decreased because people with bad intentions now lost a great place to do their evil acts but to be honest, we can't deny that this step made by the two large companies not only bring us benefits but harmful effects also. Due to this ban, the sales of legit ICOs are affected because people who can be able to see their ads are reduced and the population growth of our community (crypto world) is affected also since we lose a platform where we can educate and encourage the society to also use cryptocurrency.
2871  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you encourage friends and family to invest in crypto? on: March 17, 2018, 01:40:49 PM
I attempted many times before but sad to say I'm always ending up as a failure and received a lot of criticisms and sarcastic humors coming from others. Way back from the very start, I was only able to convince three people up to present: my girlfriend and my two classmates. I don't really know what's wrong, I already introduce it to them properly yet still many of them are not encouraged and I already presented the benefits I get from bitcoins by showing my possessions (but I'm not bragging) but they are still not eager to learn. I think that maybe they are not interested in this stuff that's why I always fail or maybe I'm just not a good in persuading. Nevertheless, I will not give up encouraging others to engage in crypto because it know it may help them a lot.
2872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without Bitcoin, Life Will Be Boring! on: March 17, 2018, 08:10:19 AM
Assuming that bitcoin suddenly gone then technically speaking, I will lose all of my savings since I don't have a bank account and no longer use a piggy bank. I think that will be the worst day of my life if it happens (though seems impossible).

But on the bright side, i can still see some advantages on it. Staying awake late midnight is not necessary now, I will now have a lot of time to focus on my studies (just the usual before i discover crypto), I can now give my full attention to my girlfriend, and I am now fre me from being busy making my daily schedule so hectic.

But for me, I still prefer a life with bitcoin  even how stressful to deal with this because it changed my life for the better and I'm very blessed with it.
2873  Other / Meta / Re: Merit! Why Merit is sold and how to stop it? on: March 17, 2018, 06:28:53 AM
What a nice move, setting yourself as a bait is a good technique to catch who's the real guilty. Well, I already expected that kind of sceneario due to hard earning of merits so it's not shocking to know that such kind of transaction really happens.

I admire you for being honest and obedient member of this forum. I suggest you to report those accounts to get punishment. Don't be afraid because you are on the side of truth (unless they knew your identity and might revenge).
2874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin loose its popularity? on: March 16, 2018, 02:40:36 PM
As we see that bitcoin price is down since last three months but still not reaching to its highest level.
Be patient, just get to used to its fluctuations because it happens all the time and besides, there is worse happened before compared in this moment so relax and keep hodling. I'm sure bitcoin will recover sooner or later.
Is bitcoin loose its popularity ?
Just because it's dipping it doesn't mean that it is now losing its popularity, that's not definitely a concrete evidence. Can't you see? Btc are getting more famous since many people now see potentials and even icons from different industries (e.g. Gwyneth Paltrow, Mel B) are now engaging to it . Another, since btc has the largest number of holders, it means that this is the most well known coin up to date (as simple as that).
2875  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as your main income? on: March 16, 2018, 01:16:08 PM
It's something that should be written a new bible about in my opinion. Before you learn Bitcoin, learn economy. Once you master this skill, own Bitcoin as one of your cards.

I agree with you, learn stuffs about economy first because bitcoin and cryptocurrency is just a part of it. Actually, it's not necessary to study every single detail about it (but it would be an advantage if you do) because knowing its basics is enough.

Going back to the topic, Bitcoin is my main source of income (believe it or not) because I'm still a student and this is the only way I found to earn good money. Bitcoin greatly approved my kind of living but if ever I already got a stable job after I graduated, I will not prioritize it more than my job. I will just set it as an extra income whatever happens, even the money I earned there is greater than my salary because money is not the most important thing in life. Finding your self worth which you can find in your job is priceless.
2876  Economy / Economics / Re: Is fall of bitcoin from 16k$ good for bitcoin and alt-crypto? on: March 16, 2018, 12:05:58 PM
I just want to add another reason why bitcoin's downfall is not totally bad but a favorable situation foe us.
* This is a great time for buying coins as much as possible

Deflation on btc's price are bad and good at the same time. That's bad because our earnings in terms of fiat decreases and everyones hates it but if we look on the positive side, we can see that this is a great opportunity to buy coins as I've said a while a go. This kind of scenario surely affects you, it all depends to you on how you will handle this. Are you going to panic sell due to frustration or you gonna be strong and remain hodling? The choice is yours.
2877  Other / Meta / Re: Over-replied topics on: March 15, 2018, 11:14:30 PM
I agree. We don't need to have a four line paragraph in every reply and yet the thought you want to say is only one. We should answer the topic with brief and complete thought.
Well, that still depends on how a particular person wants to construct his idea. Having a four line paragraph or even more than that doesn't mean he is a verbose, maybe he just want to convey his idea more specific for the readers to easily understand. For me, the length of a post is not a big deal because the thing that matters the most is how will you make the readers understand your thought/idea.
Maybe they doing that for them to have a merit point.
You are right! Because a long paragraph tends to become informative (making sure it is really informative and not just full of flowery words), therefore, they'll have a chance of earning merit by doing this and I don't see any problem regarding that.
2878  Economy / Services / Re: Eligma Signature and Avatar Campaign(FULL) on: March 14, 2018, 11:17:14 AM
Payments have been sent to those who qualified
Received the payment already, thanks sir.
2879  Other / Meta / Re: Want to become a hero member on: March 13, 2018, 11:53:51 PM
Becoming a hero member here is very hard before because you need to be patient for waiting very long time to meet the number activity required but it is much harder now since merit system is now implemented. As a Full member, I don't think activity is not a big deal anymore for me because what threatens me the most is the fact that I slowly earn merits. So if you really dream to become a hero member or way more than that, much better for you to study more and more. I say so because vast knowledge about crypto is your tool for making good quality posts which leads to earning merits. Also, always be active here in the forum because it will benefits you a lot, avoid one liner posts as much as possible because you can't fully express your ideas in a single line making your post less informative (I checked your post history recently) and lastly, love and enjoy what you are doing because it feels you motivated and makes your dedication much stronger.
2880  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do You Have Any Fear Bitcoin Might Crash Someday. on: March 13, 2018, 11:23:08 PM
Absolutely yes! I'm also afraid because that also means all of my earnings will vanish. That's the worst thing could happen to me (us) because bitcoin is my only source of income. I'm sure people out there feel the same way also unless they're not holding such coin.

Though not impossible to happen, I still believe that bitcoin will not crash like what you've said. It might rank down because of the strong demand on other coins that may happen in the future but I'm sure it will not drop down to zero.
