2861  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reputation board - rules&guidelines? on: February 04, 2021, 09:26:49 AM
Sledging and slander Vs admonishing and decrys of foul play are the usual fair in the repution section. At least it is for those DT 1 Trolls that see themselves as gang members trolling the back alleys with their keyboards at the ready.

Just read and you'll gain wisdom.
2862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another insane win!! $ 1B mega million jackpot on: February 04, 2021, 09:10:13 AM
Unsurprisingly, the winner of a Billion Dollars wants to remain anonymous. If the lottery were conducted in Australia there would be no haggling over taxes (as the Government takes their share pre draw) and the winner walks away with the bag in one lump sum (none of this scammy "we'll pay you later" nonsense).

A better thread would be "What would you spend a lump sum Billion Dollar Lottery payout on?"
2863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: February 04, 2021, 08:58:39 AM
Sounds like the player had far too much stress going in in their lives and were overcome with a sudden ramping up of that stress as they realised they'd won.  Definitely a cautionary tale for anyone wanting to de-stress through gambling.
2864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Toronto women win jackpot lottery on: February 04, 2021, 08:51:52 AM
I'd be more surprised if someone won that kind of money playing Keno (i.e. rapid play lottery) playing the same numbers one hundred or more times in a row. (The equivalent of twenty years, let's call it one thousand times in a row).

The cost to play are about the same, but there are far few bigger winners and lots more little wins.
2865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 04, 2021, 08:46:25 AM
Putting everyone back into quarantine stems from the backlash when security guards had sex with the people they were supposed to be keeping safe instead of doing the job they were paid to do mid to late last year.

Australia's nightly news goes into meltdown when they report more than one Covid case per day, so tennis players agreeing to come to Australia to play (and bringing Covid with them) is creating a voter backlash the Daniel Andrews Government is having a hard time getting its head around.

Have updated my nomination with a wallet address which I hadn't put down earlier. Good luck to all applicants and my thanks to those who have compiled short dosiers on user's posting habits.
2867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] - Union / League / Super / Sevens on: February 04, 2021, 01:15:59 AM
It's true that RL is far more popular across Australia (especially on the East Coast here in Queensland and New South Wales).

In comparison, in New Zealand, the Kiwi's are bonkers for Union  over League.

So, when ever the Bledisloe Cup is on everyone in Australia barracks for Australia and Everyone in New Zealand barracks for New Zealand, regardless of which code is preferred.

Similarly, if the English/Welsh/Scott's/French are touring and playing either Oz or NZ, then EVERYONE in Oz/NZ barracks for Oz/NZ against the rest of the world. (In saying thst, whenever any of the Pacific Rugby Nations tour, loyalties are split if that makes sense).
2868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most discreet way to hide your crypto from thieves? on: February 03, 2021, 01:42:41 AM
You can get fireproof envelopes to put paper documents into. If these are put into safety deposit boxes inside banks they shouldn't (in theory) get water damage or fire damage.

Failing that a cunning deception where you put a corrupted thumb drive in a hidden location for the bad guys to find and spend weeks trying to recover, all the while the funds are in a brain wallet.
2869  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange refunds on: February 03, 2021, 01:25:16 AM
I'd be keen to hear what sort of funds people are waiting on given as the previous user said the coins have appreciated over the last two years.

At the time of the liquidation, Bitcoin had come off of a previous ATH now it's had a new record ATH (not to mention a few altcoins such as DOGE mooning in recent times).
2870  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: February 03, 2021, 01:12:20 AM
That's the problem most of us faced: We tried to withdraw altcoins only to have them become stuck transactions, or, we were able to sell for major coins only to find those crypto BTC DOGE LTC etc had no funds in the hot wallets that we could draw down from.

We never thought to write down what our totals were as we went.
2871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: February 02, 2021, 11:31:06 PM
I'm shocked to have discovered the GameCoin thread started by MicroGuy has had every post deleted and the thread locked.

GameCoin carries the code GME which is the same as GameStop which I'm sure most of you have now heard of.

Not sure why MicroGuy would arbitrary remove GME from the forum, but he's left us holding bags of GME which are now untradable.
2872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] - Union / League / Super / Sevens on: February 02, 2021, 11:22:15 PM
I've always followed Rugby League (not the least of which because I grew up just streets away from Lang Park). When there was talk of a Super League in Australia they should have combined all League Clubs on the East Coast, played a knock out series and had divisions like they do in soccer which would have given more variety to the game instead of it still being a New South Wales centric "National" game.
2873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] - Union / League / Super / Sevens on: February 02, 2021, 12:57:45 PM
Thanks to @aoluain for providing the information about the Guinness Six Nations Championship - it's always good to hear about Rugby Matches played in other parts of the world - I'll update the second and third posts with the information.

Please keep us updated on how the Comp progresses.

We have a few open spots. I wonder if we'll see a decrease in the number of applicants, now that the payment rate has decreased.

2875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SXC][NSFW] Sexcoin - New Android Client Release! on: January 31, 2021, 11:43:16 PM
You don't need to stop merge-mining SXC to merge-mine DOGE. Many pools merge-mine several auxpow coins. As long as they have different chainid's this will work just fine.

My last SXC block was mined today and has currently 280 confirmations, so cryptoid's BE probably just stopped updating, but SXC chain is moving forward smoothly.

Their current height is 4171178, my height with 8 connections is 4177088, that is cryptoid is stuck since ~5910 blocks as of now.

May I leave it to you or the person paying for cryptoid to inform them?

[EDIT to add]: The other BE at http://be.sexcoin.info/ seems to be up2date.

The last time I was able to log into Discord, LavaJumper had been previously talking about getting the block explorer up and running. It looks like he has managed to get the Block Explorer up and running.

Two block explorers puts any Crypto in a much stronger position overall.

Coin Gecko is showing FreiExchange's sexcoin trades as is the trading app Delta (which I prefer over Blockfolio - even though both are still showing Cryptopia+LiveCoin etc)

I have an email for chainz, so I'll see if I can reach out to them to press their update button.
2876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The surprise of Dogecoin on: January 31, 2021, 01:45:06 PM
I count seven times in seven lines that @MCobian cried out DogeCoin in orgasmic rapture whilst gasping for air in the after-glow.

I'm glad it was good for you while it lasted.

 Grin
2877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SXC][NSFW] Sexcoin - New Android Client Release! on: January 31, 2021, 01:38:49 PM
Is SXC listed anywhere any more is there anyway to trade these coins anymore?

https://freiexchange.com/market/SXC/BTC

HTH

I'm not sure if it's related to the other recent woes, but the only block explorer I'm aware of for SexCoin last saw an SXC block four days ago. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/sxc/ perhaps with a lack of exchanges, those merge mining sexcoin have turned their miners to DOGE coin which jumped eight-fold a little over four days ago.

No one mining = No block chain = trouble.
2878  Other / Meta / Re: How about locking some ANN threads that are from proven scammers? on: January 31, 2021, 08:04:33 AM
Perhaps, but if newbies and junior members access to some sections of the Forum were restricted until they had proved themselves with merits and ranked up a couple of levels, it might slow down the brand new users registering and heading straight to the Currency Exchange section in their first post.

I've got a feeling my end of January wager that the price of Bitcoin will be $40,001 or higher isn't going to happen unless something radical occurred in the next few hours to tip the price over the $40k score line.

Today I chanced to catch my post count right before I ruin it. It will be ages before I come back here.  Smiley

Not necessarily, you can always aim for post counts such as 2357 (prime numbers) 2468 (even sequence) and 3000 (triple zero / thousand count) Im sure there are other post sequences such as 2244 that people might consider significant.
