2861  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6600Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB (New Thread) on: May 15, 2014, 02:03:21 AM
Noob question: What does the Shares Rewarded means? Luck? I'm having less than 100% and I want to know why.

You will always have less than 100%, unless the pool gets extremely lucky (or you are extremely lucky with your timing).  It is impossible to have more than 100%, even if you or the pool gets extremely lucky.  It correlates with luck, but not entirely.  Even with normal-to-good luck, orphan blocks will bring you down to 98% or so.  In my time mining with Eligius, I ranged from a low of ~90% to a high of ~97%.

See link in my sig for an explanation of CPPSRB.  Remember, the basis of CPPSRB is PPS (Pay Per Share).  You will never be paid for more shares than you have actually submitted.  If you want this possibility, you should switch to something different like a PPLNS pool.

Thank you.

Is that honestly even trustworthy???

Of course not. Unless he shows proof of payment.

Yah, but still...
What chance do you have they will even ship it to you after they receive it.
Seems unlikely to me.  Just seemed shady.

Well of course you don't want the customer shipping it to you. You just change the address and SP-Tech ships to you. There is no need to ship it to the owner of the order.

The LOL is on you if you can't show live hashrate. I call scam until we see live demo.
2864  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Asics Technologoes - 6 THS Bitcoin Miner - First PICS! on: May 15, 2014, 01:53:11 AM
Is the one in the youtube vid a 3 TH/s or 6 TH/s prototype?

6 Th/s

Show us live hashing or else it's a nice scam.
2865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 15, 2014, 01:17:00 AM

Did anyone get an email or letter that knc changed their T&C? I have a copy of their t&c that states there is a 12 month warranty on their products. If you look now they only state 3 month warranty. This should also be a red flag for ALL orders with them not just fail joops . Neppys, Titians etc etc.

Maybe they had 12 months for Jupiters and now they have 3 months for Neptunes and Titans.

Serial #1 running!

Why isn't the miner available on the website? Can you get a closeup with the chips and can we get more details about it? What about a video showing the miner hashrate live and power consumption?

any news on class action lawsuit

No and Yes.

First of all, it is not a "Class Action" - this is an instrument mainly known in the US legislation.

Second: I am working with one of the hugest lawfirms in Sweden. They first had to check in all of their offices and with their lawyers if there is any conflict of interest.

The good news: No, there isn't. The bad news: This took a couple of days. I wrote today a summary of events and have sent it to them, describing the different kinds of "victims":
- Persons who didn't get their money back
- Persons who received broken Frankenjupiters

I'm waiting now for a response from the lawyers and will - depending on their response - open an own thread for this.

Taking a couple of days to check stuff up can't be a bad thing. Let us know of any other updates. I have some bitcoins that beg me to be turned into belgian beers.

Instead of setting a static IP on thr SP10, why not try DHCP Reservation at your router? That way, the SP10 will always be assigned the same IP address by the router.

It's a lot easier than trying to set a static IP address at the miner.

Thanks, I'll try that ... but still wondering why the setting won't save and register in the miner.

I was just getting ready to send an e-mail to support@. I will include this issue too Smiley

Don't think there is any honesty nor money left in KnC...they are bankrupt...they went Gox

Refunds take more and more time to process
They prefer to have a court trial over the Super Jupiter crap they sent us
Refuse refunds on Titans
No product updates on Neptunes

KnC is bust....

Hard to be bankrupt with a 10MW DC...But yes they suck.

How about treating us with the same dignity as the ones you sent the newsletter to?

...And how were we treated with "dignity" again?  I must have missed that part.

i got a newsletter  Grin lucky me.
chip specs for the titan??!! WTF... where are the chip specs for the Neptune!?

No chip spec for the Neptune, but they reminded everyone once again that they will open a cloud mining service which will compete with their own customers and which will make their customers earn less bitcoins after they promised that they will NOT compete with their customers. Good job KnC! Fucking liars! Mega fail!

Sorry if this is covered (I don't want to go back through pages of posts), but a couple questions:

1. Do you accept BTC as payment, and if so, how much?
2. What is the noise level like?  (Any YouTube videos?)

I'm interested in 2 to 4 but it depends on BTC price and noise level.  I have to live with these things in close quarters, lol.

Yes you can pay with BTC at bitstamp's rate on the moment of paying. The noise level is around 70dB if I remember correctly. I'm not aware of any Youtube videos, but they are pretty loud, but hosting is available and you can ship your miner where you want when the hosting is done.
