Yes I know, but he thinks he is not an A/V.

A few nice matches in play ATM,
Kwon v Fucsovics - I have Marton to win this one

Rinderknech v Bublik - Bublik in trouble I think in the 3rd set.

van de Zandschulp v Cilic - 3-6 in the first set and I'm half thinking of going with
van de Zandschulp

Some very interesting matches on later, Murray v Bautista Agut, Half thinking
on backing Andy @ 2.13 ??

Bautista Agut didn't give Andy Murray a chance, shutting him down in 2 sets, 6-0, 6-1, not sure if you have put bet on Andy here.

van de Zandschulp vs Cilic - Cilic won the first and so is the second, 7-5. No chance for van de Zandschulp to recover in this match as Cilic just needed one break.

It's going on quarter finals now, and obviously, getting harder to pick.
2862  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 16, 2022, 04:04:09 AM
The first thing we need to do is hurdle that big barrier of $45,000 in front of us. Although it will not be the first because we have broken it already, but didn't maintain.

But if by chance we hit that $45k,000 then maybe the next hurdle is the whole numbers. Usually those whole number barriers are easy to break so hopefully we can do that next month.
2863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 16, 2022, 02:39:09 AM
since this is his last shot to make the fight between Inoue to happen since if he fail for sure Inoue will go up on higher weight class.

Even Inoue won't go yet on higher weight class, if Casimero will lose here against Paul Butler, the interest won't be the same as before. Casimero will now be totally ignored by the Inoue's camp as there's no reason at all to accept the challenge for the one that comes from losing.

Paul Butler seems an easy opponent but Casimero is not on his 100% as his medical issue is viral. It's impossible that even for 5%, it won't affect his current gameplay.

Maybe they will still give Casimero the fight, but the split will be totally in favor of Inoue that Casimero might not accept it. So it's better for Casimero to move on and fight other champion or built his resume again.

On the other hand, if he wins against Butler by knockout and remains the champion, he could have the bargaining power to call a good purse split. Maybe 50-50 split could happen.
2864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 16, 2022, 01:23:29 AM
I've read that report too. I actually think it's outrageous how Djokovic is presenting himself. He shouldn't and won't take that vaccine, what arrogance. Top athletes should be an example for the sport and for the youth, but Djokovic does exactly the opposite. They really shouldn't let that guy go anywhere. He thinks he is above the law with his arrogant behavior. He is willing to forgo the big tournaments. The rest of the field will be happy with that  Grin

Yeah, saw the same report, and he is even criticize for not taking the vaccine, but that's his personality though, it's his lost if he is going to those Grand Slams and not have a chance of winning them because of his beliefs about the vaccine. Sooner or later, history will tell us how Djokovic's stand on this will tell, but for sure tennis fans might not going to favor him with this kind of outrageous decisions.

@aoluain - if he is not taking the vaccine then obviously, he is anti-vaccine, simply as that, no middle ground, IMHO.
2865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Estrada vs Gonzalez Trilogy - March 5 on: February 16, 2022, 01:01:08 AM
And so far there are no swing bets yet so the odds remain 1.85 for both.

I'm curious on the betting odds and check if it is still the same but surprised to see that on my online bookies, Roman Gonzales have a new opponent and it is Julio Cesar Martinez.

After some research, i did know that Martinez is just replacing Estrada because the latter was tested positive for Covid and have to shut down their training camp, damn covid hehe.

Gonzales 1.61, Martinez 2.18, not bad at all.

Right, after checking the status of the fight, Estrada withdraw because of Covid-19 effects, his trainer sort of says that he is not 100% in training so they have to pull him out.

The article is in Spanish but you can used Google translate:

Quote
The physical condition of 'Gallo' Estrada is not in optimal conditions and that would prevent his fight against Román 'Chocolatito' González from being canceled
The long-awaited third battle between world multi-champions Juan Francisco 'Gallo' Estrada and Román 'Chocolatito' González , scheduled for March 5 in San Diego, California, would be put on hold for that date because the Mexican idol has had some discomfort and he has not been able to train 100 percent for a fight of this caliber.
2866  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: February 15, 2022, 03:34:47 PM
In my opinion, the price of bitcoin will still experience a bullish trend in the midst of a green market like today. Although later the price will drop occasionally and that is only natural because crypto prices often experience rapid increases and decreases. Therefore it seems that the next bitcoin price target will be around $48k within this week.

There will be a lot of ups and downs before we can get to $48,000 at least. It seems that the market has stagnated to $43,000 for this week. Maybe the bulls doesn't have the final push or the market is on a wait and see basis. Usually this happens if we go and try to break a big barrier like $45,000 and then we fail. So we will see if the bullish trend will continue, but I wouldn't be surprised if we are going on a sideways pattern.

True. We are used to witness volatility in Bitcoin market that I consider an opportunity to make money by proper risk management and avoiding impulsive decisions. last week Bitcoin was down because of negative news coming from Ukraine but this weeks seems good and most likely we will see closing of  weekly candle above 46K.

I think it is still $45,000 to broken first, and then we can talk about $46,000 and higher.

The Ukraine news seems to be fading away as the market perform very good the start of the week. Hopefully we can close this week with a good rebound and who knows, there could be another shock for us this week. Because as far as TA (RSI strength) is concern, this could be another bull run for us.
2867  Economy / Speculation / Re: Either rise or dip no more stability at this zone on: February 14, 2022, 03:43:47 AM
With reference to BTC/USD daily frame a higher low was formed on 03/02 if today's daily candlestick closed as a bullish candlestick another higher low will be formed invariably indication of bullish sentiment in days ahead, in addition the price breakthrough a resistance at $41700 and retraced to turn the resistance to a support, my prediction is that the bulls are getting set to take over the market after the minor correction provided that their is no negative fundamental news that may mar the bullish run.

That resistance is the support right now, $41,700, so let's see if this is going to be broken as we are very close to it.

Regarding the looming war between Russia and Ukraine, yeah it could affect the market price. However, it might be short term though. Crypto investors are wise, if they see that the price is going down, for sure there could be whales willing to scoop that cheap Bitcoin again.
2868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 14, 2022, 02:47:47 AM
I read somewhere that this fight is now official.

Good to see that Ryan Garcia is fighting again, it's been a year since his last fight and that was a big fight because we saw him recover from from the knocked down and still beat Luke Campbell in the end. I guess his previous opponent is better than Tagoe, so I would still put my money on Garcia.

Actually he has another fight after winning against Campbell (I forgot the name of the boxer). But he has to cancel that fight because of mental issues. And we lauded Ryan for admitting that because sport personalities have then persona that they are invincible, which is not.

Regarding the fight, I would tend to lean on that this is a cherry pick fight as well. Not in a bad sense since he is coming back from a long layoff and that issue that I just mentioned. Maybe this fight will bring back his confidence and look for the bigger picture in the future.
2869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think that 2022 will look like? on: February 13, 2022, 04:31:46 AM
It will be a big growth. And great earning potential
Have you heard about the new Quoth project? Quoth is an all-chain NFT authentication oracle that allows universal platforms to verify, mint NFTs over a single protocol.

I think for the NFT market, it might be still a good year, and maybe when the market goes bearish and selling off, they could be moving to NFT and investing huge amount of money.

It seems that the bear market is already here, we can't deny that fact. So we must be very careful of what we invest in this cycle specially some meme and shit coins. Be a wise investor, is all what I'm saying and not think that the market will still continue on a bullish cycle.
2870  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: February 13, 2022, 04:10:49 AM
If you look at the date of this thread, it is the last few days of January when the price is still in the $30k'ish. But now it seems that market rocketed as others have put it. So when he open this thread, I would say that it is the right time to buy.

But with the way the price is going up this days, better wait till it settles down because you might be swept with the current hype and not make good profits in the future.
well, maybe at the time he asked, it was the right time. because of that, many people say that when you are ready to buy or invest, it is the right time, because you don't know what the potential will be in the future. well, even right now, if the person is ready, it could be a great time. it could be that the bitcoin price is back at $50k a few weeks or months later, and the altcoin price has gone up too. So whenever you're ready will be a good time.

Well the prices seems to be falling back to $41,000-$42,000 and who knows, maybe it can still go down again this month. So I would say just waited it out for the time being and see how it goes.

But as someone said, hard to time the market and if you are going to be a long time investor then it's not a question of what is the best time to buy, because it's always a good time.
2871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 03:40:27 AM
This is a good strategy to push crypto gambling to mainstream channels. Thanks to a famous celebrity betting with bitcoin publicly, many popular sites had to promote crypto gambling and Stake even if indirectly.

I don't know where the original idea of Drake sharing his bet on social media came from, but it must be said it was a smart one and the results are evident for anyone who check it on google.

Yup, a win win for us, we all know how famous Drake his, he has a lot of followers and if they see this for sure there could be some curious cat.

Drake is known to be a avid sports fans so no surprises that he will bet on this one. Good marketing for the gambling platform as well as it will have a foothold on how they could be trusted by others. So it is also a win for their reputation.

You might check other gambling platform as well as there are contest regarding superbowl: (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0), including Duelbits.
2872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 13, 2022, 03:01:55 AM
Correct, but Crawford is still active so maybe in the future he could be a boxing promoter too.
That's so futuristic, let's talk about his journey first as a boxer as I'm sure he still has a lot to offer, if he is willing to accept challenges and get big fights, maybe he will be a hall of famer just like the other great boxers in the sports, he is still young and I'm sure he will have more fights in the future, being an undisputed champion maybe a good one to achieve.

Yeah, that's why I said "maybe", so who knows whats his plan for the future.

Chances are high for Casimero to win against Butler, but he shouldn't take him lightly and not overlook Butler. And when he his then it's the time to call out Inoue again and see how Inoue will respond from Casimero's trash talking. Most likely it can be setup by Arum this year, if and only if he is willing his cash cash to get damage, LOL.

but he won the following 2 sets.

On Tsitsipas, is it my imagination or does he seem to do better in the lesser
competitions rather than the grand slams? I definitely think a lot was expected
of him last year but has only 2 titles and more expected this year. I think he is
good to win Rotterdam, he should beat either Rublev or Felix AA IMO.

Also in grand slams he can reach far, but Tsitsipas is not always consistent. He reached 3 times the semifinals on AO (also this year) and already reached the final in Roland Garros. I think it is a matter of time before he wins his first grandslam.
Tsitsipas is never consistent. He is so called one of the best in the world but cannot win any tournament. All of his points are from finals or semi finals. He dosent have that winning mentality to win a big tournament or even any tournament but he is still in top 10

Yeah, I can attest to that, been betting on him for quite some time but there are times that he is a complete letdown. He really needs to go over the hump of winning a big tournament and let him overcome that mental problem.

Now that he won against Jiri Lehecka an move to the finals, I hope that he can win his first tournament for this year against Felix AA.
2874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eTH gas trouble on: February 12, 2022, 07:40:51 AM
I recently created a transaction to send tokens on the ETH network, several days have already passed, I set gwai 45 about $ 10 gas fee, I will not pay a penny anymore, the transaction is still in processing.Today, this network is not a priority for me, I am not ready to pay $ 30-50 per transaction...I don't understand the people who trade on dex exchanges in this network.
they do that sometimes because they make big deals. I've made transactions of hundreds of dollars with large fees. well, my mind at that time, I'd better sell with a fee like that than nothing. Well, what I'm afraid of about coins that are only listed on DEX is that the price of the coin will fall, or it will become a rug pull. because of that, sometimes people will make transactions like that.
besides, there are those who feel that it is a cut that they don't feel lost. yeah, but still, for me it's also a very expensive fee.

Yeah, it make sense to pay high if you are going to trade thousands and up worth of ETH. But before, we can transact with low gas fees and it's very quick. But things have turn from good to worst when ETH gas fees goes skyrocketed and us ordinary traders cannot afford it.

Others chooses other network and swap their ETH because that is the best solution for now. But trading it directly is no longer any option except if you are whales with thousands worth of dollars to transact.
2875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people overestimate BTC? on: February 12, 2022, 04:31:22 AM
If we don't follow developments, of course we will be left behind. crypto is an intangible space and the most transparent transactions are here (crypto).

On that part, I think it's not always a mandatory thing to do to follow developments. In most cases, the majority is not even aware or truly following any development at every different coin because what matters to them is, if those coins are performing well in the market.

If there's a hype of the coin, traders will switch and consider investing in that coin whether the development is good or not. That's what we always see in the crypto market where the hype is one of the reasons why specific coins should be popular.

Well if you have big investments on some project, then definitely you may have to follow it. But for Bitcoin, nah, I think the price and the news is enough for us to invest or not or simply just hold. And this is the big difference with altcoins, because in that market there is so much volatility and then you have to check the news and developments as what causes the price to tank or even nose dive.
2876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 12, 2022, 03:46:13 AM

As time progress and these delays would really be utilize on which they could really have that ample time for them to make out preparations and they wouldnt really let these times comes to waste

when it comes to experience just like on what others been pointing out then there's no doubt that GGG is on the edge but he shouldnt really be that confident because anytime the table could turn
upside down.

If he won then he might have some trilogy with Canelo but of course if he would able to make out some interest but i do have feels that he would really be nearly retiring.

They can use the time delay to worthwhile preparation activities like training and formulating their ring strategy. As we have seen in previous boxing fights last year, there were so many upsets. So if this will be another upset, then, I won't be surprised. GGG is the favorite but we can't take for granted Murata's skills. Even if Murata is in his home court, I have high regards with Japanese people because they are honest people. So not worried about the fairness of this fight.

I disagree though, fighters trains like 8 weeks before the actual fight so that they won't get overtrain. So if he continues to train despite the delay GGG with experience some burn-out. So I think they are taking it slow right now. Maybe just light trainings and a few runs here and there. Of course, never underestimate a boxer who has the home court advantage and GGG fully knows that as he started just fighting in his home town for many years because he is comfortable.
2877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: February 12, 2022, 03:06:17 AM
Both fighters are equal and I'm sure it will be hard for bettors to figure out who is the big favorite

This is true, there will be no clear outstanding favorite in this fight, maybe it will open like 1.85 both odds.

Both have been trash talking ever since they won both of their respective fights and accusing each other of trying to avoid this fight. But both have sign in the dotted line already and we have a date of this fight. I will bet on Valdez though, Valdez seems to thrive on bigger stage and has more power and riding high from his biggest win over Miguel Berchelt.

I'm a bit surprised by this move of Bob Arum to let his cash cows meet in the ring this early lol. I think that the old man has learned his lesson on the Crawford controversy and afraid that either Valdez or Stevenson will bolt out of his promotional company.

This fight is very hard to predict for me though i'm leaning towards Valdez but if the odds are high on Stevenson then i would go for it.

This reminds me of the fight between Manny vs Money. Aggressive vs defensive where the latter won hehe.

At long as it is in house money, that is good for Bob Arum, again another great example, Manny Pacquiao and even Crawford who fought mostly Top Rank's fighter. The thing is that his stable of 147 lbs is not that deep that's why Crawford has been criticize.

But with division, Arum has few good fighters and that's why he is willing to make this fight. It's a win-win situation for him.

2879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance, led by Changpeng Zhao, is taking a $200 million stake in Forbes on: February 11, 2022, 04:16:50 AM
Yes, great business move from CZ, expanding his business to mainstream media. So at least he can balance the negativity now and I will say that he will continue to do things his way and probably investing on companies that is producing cards and stuff that is related to crypto mining.

And in just a matter of 5 years or less, CZ become one of the richest person in crypto market, with his Binance at the top and then acquiring coinmarketcap too.
2880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: February 11, 2022, 03:39:42 AM
Hard to predict but I will say that I will go with Shakur Stevenson here. He will play with his strengths here, by defense and then throw some with counter punching.

Valdez though has a knock out left hook or upper cut punch. So that's what Shakur needs to look at. I will say it could go on the judges scorecard and seeing Shakur frustrating Valdez in his fight.
