2881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan plans to become the Bitcoin capital of the world. on: March 13, 2018, 10:38:41 PM
This statement on that article amazed me a lot, "It’s estimated that cryptocurrencies may contribute 0.3 per cent to Japan’s gross domestic product, 20 per cent of total growth expected in 2018." No doubt that cryptocurrency helps Japan's economy to become more productive.

It's like once in a blue moon for a government to let crypto enter their existing monetary system because the majority tend to hate crypto and ban it on their country. So I really admire Japan for being brave and open to new technologies/opportunities. I just hope that all of the nations follow the path what Japan made, I hope they realized the bright potentials of crypto instead of bashing and criticizing it.
2882  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people buy high and sell low on: March 13, 2018, 09:59:39 PM
Why would you buy a coin for a higher price and sell it for a lower price? Huh That's incredibly insane. Better study for more because if you continue that kind of attitude then your further losses will pull you down deeper.

But if you are pertaining about hodling coins, that deed of yours is called panic selling. It's an act of forced selling due to some factors like FUD and big dips in market. It seems that those factors scares you a lot that's why you are always ending up selling though it is not a good move at all.  My tip for you is to remain calm, don't be too emotional and HODL! Always think that everything is gonna be alright.
2883  Other / Meta / Re: Does merit really helping the forum. on: March 13, 2018, 09:41:11 PM
Even though many users show their opposition to it, for me it merit system is doing good 'til now. It helps in a way that shiity posters around are no longer motivated because continuing their bad deeds is such a big waste of time and pointless at all since it's impossible for them to rank up by doing those bad habits. But to be honest, I also see some disadvantages of this system and it's very obvious; like ranking up is now very rare whether you are a good quality poster or not and it causes smaller amount of reward may get in signature campaigns since there is now a certain number of merit required. Nevertheless, for me that's alright as long as I see that our forum are now cleaner and better than before.
2884  Economy / Economics / Re: Manny Pacquiao invests in cryptocurrency firm, is set to launch PAC Coin? on: March 13, 2018, 08:48:20 PM
I am a Filipino and this kind of news (assuming not a fake one) makes me proud. It inspires me a lot bacause even a sport/showbiz/political icon can also be engaged in crypto, this only proves that crypto is for eveveryone ~ can be access despite of your race, gender and age as long as you are willing to do so.

If this is really true then PAC coin will be a legit alt and will never be a scam, I'm pretty sure of that because it sticks to Pacquiao's name which means that his reputation will be affected if he did something inappropriate.
2885  Other / Meta / Re: THEYMOS , CYRUS = Scammers on: March 13, 2018, 12:18:09 PM
To be honest sir, you got my attention in an instant because your title is really provocative. I'm shocked because who would ever imagine that there is somebody who had the guts to give bad accusations to sir Theymos and Cyrus. I deeply understand your eagerness to be noticed by them but what I didn't expect is it will come to the point that you'll use their names in bad, I think it still not appropriate to do it in that way even how good your intentions are. Sad (no offense at all sir)

I'm sure you will now get the attention of both of them but unluckily, they now have a bad impression to you. Anyway, good luck for recovering your account.
2886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [RUMORS] MANNY PACQUIAO WILL SUPPORT BITCOIN AND WILL HAVE HIS OWN TOKEN on: March 12, 2018, 02:57:31 PM
This is very awesome If this is not a fake news. It's nice to hear that our People's Champ shows some interest in crypto. This is a winning situation for all Filipino crypto holders out there because this will serve as strong encouragement for others to also engage themselves into crypto making our community grow bigger.  I'm pretty sure that many skeptic people out there will change their kind of thinking about bitcoin since a big and trustworthy personality like Manny Pacquiao also believe in it.

Regarding to his own coin, I don't see any problem with that because money is not a problem for Manny. He could definitely  provide fund for his own ICO and promoting it is not a big deal anymore since his name is famous eneough to do the job. If this will do come true then his coin will become the first local coin here in the Philippines (as far as I know).
2887  Other / Meta / Re: JUST MY SUGGESTION on: March 12, 2018, 12:31:05 PM
yeah because you can get hero member rank without merit system.. then u can easily talk like this,
I know what you feel and I got your point also. It's not bad to stand on the opposition side of Merit System and it's not also bad to defend what you are believing in as long as you do it in a good manner (actually you did), the only problem is that I see loopholes in suggestion.

First of all, I think implementing your suggestion would be a bad Idea because it works the same as the Activity system does. Nothing changed! Shitposters are not threatened at all after knowing the fact that they still rank up in due time even they continue their bad habits. Second, lots of smerits can easily be given into not deserving accounts since earning merit points will not be a problem. Lastly, maintaining the quality of this forum is greatly affected because of the bad posters and spammers who are motivated by the suggested system.

Let's give Merit System a chance to prove its worth. Let's support and patiently wait for its results.
2888  Economy / Economics / Re: Elevator down and stairs up for BTC? on: March 12, 2018, 11:11:00 AM
I also love the month of December this previous year but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it a lot because I'm just a Member that time ~ meaning, I only earned much smaller amount of bitcoin on signature campaigns. And this 2018, btc is not in its optimum level which makes me sick but not bad at all since I already see some signs of recovery, I just hope it continues.

Though the current growth rate of btc is slower than before, I think it still favorable for us because btc is more stable comparing to the "instant high but instant drop" scenario happened before.
2889  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading altcoin and holding bitcoin which one is more profitable? on: March 11, 2018, 09:38:35 PM
For me it depends on the amount of crypto you have. If you have a bunch of altcoins ready for trading then it is more profitable than holding few decimals of bitcoin. On the other hand, holding large amount of btc is better than having few altcoins.

I agree to you that hodling is less risky but my friend said that losses can be avoided in trading as long as you are careful and knowledgeable about it. Furthermore, you can also earn faster through it that's why I'm now starting to study alts and and join bounty campaigns soon.

But actually, btc and alts are both profitable. It's up to which one of the two you are more comfortable and well familiar to use
2890  Other / Meta / Re: How to earn merits easily ? on: March 11, 2018, 12:34:52 PM
Several may tell you "Make quality posts, as easy as that" because that's the usual advice they (even me) can give to you but honestly, earning merits is not as easy as that. For me, quality post is not enough because if that is the only requirement then why good posters on a particular thread rarely get merit points? and why there are still good users whose merit points remain stagnant? In my opinion, it would be an advantage if you are a little bit popular here in the forum or you have couple of friends that you can easily approach for asking a merit and with some presence of luck also.
2891  Other / Meta / Re: Bctalk posts count not correct? on: March 11, 2018, 09:56:05 AM
I already experienced that kind of situation before, I also thought at the first place that it happened because of a certain error in forum's system but I realized lately that I was wrong. The reason behind that is when moderators clean the forum by deleting some threads and unluckily, you made a post on such threads that's why the number of your posts are getting deductions.

I know that it's irritating to see decreasing post count especially when you are in the middle of a signarure campaign where you need to meet a weekly quota but you can't do anything about it. Just accept it and continue making good quality posts.
2892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As a beginner is it too late ? on: March 10, 2018, 01:29:37 PM
No, it's never too late for a beginner like you to engage in crypto world. Actually, you are in the right timing because btc is on its downfall recently, therefore, buying some coins right now is a wise decision.

Just a piece of advice, continue studying and apply all the knowledge you acquired to become a good crypto holder. If you commit mistakes (e.g. Panic selling, not smart buying/selling), don't worry because it's normal and don't take it seriously because moral lesson is the thing that matters the most.

Welcome! I hope you'll have a prosperous journey as a bitcoin earner.
2893  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk in a mobile app. on: March 10, 2018, 02:28:15 AM
As far as I know, there's already a mobile app existing and you can download it in the playstore but I I'm not sure if it's legit or just a phishing app. (Check it for yourself)

Having a mobile app is a good idea because it provides new option for all of us and many users who access this forum through their smartphones will now enjoy a simpler interface of the forum. But honestly this is not necessary anymore since it also works well in mobile browser (zooming in and zooming out is not a big deal) and besides, I guess using a mobile browser is more practical than the app. Like for signature campaigns, you only need to open a new tab for downloading the avatar comparing to the app where you also need to open a browser in order to download it and go back to the app itself, greater load of work right?
2894  Economy / Economics / Re: surprise 2018 on: March 09, 2018, 07:09:08 AM
Stay calm mate, don't panic because flutuations are normal but I admitted that btc's price dropped a lot recently. I've been through in this kind of situation many times before (worse than here actually), I also panic at first but later I realized that there's no need for worrying too much because btc still recovers every time it goes down. My advice especially for those new here in crypto world, just remain hodling and never panic sell.
2895  Economy / Economics / Re: plan for the future with bitcoin on: March 09, 2018, 05:34:36 AM
Investment is wiser than holding, because holding is just a type of investment for those who don't care the price of which coin they are investing decrease. That's the reason they usually have higher risk than investment because almost the holder don't accept their loss on the market. It's just my thought.
I deeply respect your opinion sir and I get your point also, but I disagree with you. Investing is not always better than hodling because it all depends to the choice of a particular person knowing what is the best for him.

There are people who prefer hodling compare to investing like me. I do so not because I'm scared of losing money or whatsoever, I'm just not a business-minded person and I don't have any interest to it. Hodling is more practical for me because it only requires less effort and some patience, besides, I feel that this is less risky since investing is prone to scams.
2896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The english language improvement thread on: March 08, 2018, 12:04:48 PM
This is a good thread Sir jet Cash, I'm pretty sure that many users out there (including me) will learn here some of the tips on effective English speaking/writing.

Though English is not my mother tongue, I can confidently say that I'm not too bad but not also too good in this, maybe just between the middle. Honestly, English language serves as a form of communication barrier for me before simply because that's a foreign language — a language that I'm not well familiar with. But with my eagerness to learn, I study hard and push myself to adapt. Here are some of my tips for improving your English communication skills.

1. Be a bookworm. Always read any kind of literature using English language whether it is  a simple pamplet or a novel because it will develop your vocabulary.

2. Watch English movies frequently. Doing this will improve your comprehension skills and will enhance the way you pronounce by mimicking the dialogue of the actor/actress.

3. Always write. Don't push yourself to write a series of paragraphs at first, just start in simple thoughts and try to express it in a sentence. Then if you think you become better, try now constructing paragraphs or short stories. Doing these will enhance your technical writing skills, grammar and even your style of writing.

I hope my tips help you a lot.
2897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince the people to invest in Bitcoin? on: March 08, 2018, 10:27:29 AM
You are right, I know the struggle of convincing someone to engage one's self in crypto because I already experienced it before.

Couple of months ago, I try to persuade my younger brother to try creating an account here, study everything about crptocurrency for him to have knowledge while posting here and join signature campaigns when the right time comes but he refused even telling him that he can earn bitcoin here that later can be converted into real cash. After that, I gave up in convincing him and respect his decision, maybe he's not a "techie" person like me.

Weeks have been passed before my savings accumulated and finally withdraw it. I used that money for buying a new phone, lots of clothes and shoes. My younger brother got jelous because of my new possessions. He now realized how bitcoin greatly improved the kind of living that I have and lately he's now willing to follow my steps but he's too late already because it's very hard to rank nowadays due to the merit system (I feel pity on him).

Just a piece of advice when convincing someone, if your mouth of communication is not an effective way then let the benefits you've got serve as your way of persuasion.

2899  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't look at btc every five minutes on: March 04, 2018, 12:28:59 AM
For me,  there is no time being wasted when I look at the bitcoin  price.  Looking at it or checking it is my way of keeping track of the market price of bitcoin,  to be updated of what is happening in the price and of course to see if it will be profitable to sell or will be a good chance to invest.  There is nothing wrong about that right?  What is wrong in here is being exaggerated on checking  the price every five minutes,  there is no need for that.  Yoy cn check the price whenever you want and  as many  times as you can but make sure that  you won't be obsessed in doing it.

I agree with you, checking the price chart is not a big deal because this will not consume a large portion of your time even you frequently do this. I say so because in my case I estimated that I'm looking on bitcoin's price more than 5x a day yet it doesn't affect the flow of my daily schedule at all.

But checking the price every 5 minutes? I don't think that is a smart action. I understand by doing this if you are a day trader because your profit depends on every fluctuation of prices but if you are not then this is not advisable, just try to spend your time in profounding your knowledge or other sensible things.
