Do the mystery benefactors and BTC.TOP have enough has to prevent the 6th EDA?  Shocked They need to solve 3 blocks in 12 minutes!

Edit: Nope, didn't prevent it. We should have supersonic blocks pretty soon. Grin

"a couple of days" doesn't sound good. Confirmations all super slow now?

They have to mine some blocks just to stop the difficulty crashing down the reason it crashed so fast last time was long periods with no blocks and coming back to late

Yes, it really hard to calibrate this when their EDA retarget works more like an old TV channel changing dial rather than the volume dial. As a child, I always ended up breaking the channel dial.  Roll Eyes
Well, that brings me back... To a time before I was born. Guess crypto is for all ages Smiley

I've delt with the old analogue dial but when I was a child it was big clunky mechanical switches you had the choice of 1-4 push to change and pull and twist to tune

That was way before my time, I think. I can't even picture what you are talking about. But I was born after color broadcast was mainstream.

Edit:Come to think of it, it's even worse. EDA only can only go one way and have to wait until the 2016 block cycle to go the other way.

Chain needs to rest. After all, it was in supersonic mode all weekend. Cheesy

Don't fret. It will be better in a couple of days. We are in good hands with the magical mystery miners and BTC.TOP. Grin

It's only windows & linux?
No mac?

Yeah, you will have to figure out how to compile it yourself from source. From what I have been able to gather, it can be a real pain to do so. (Never tried it myself since I don't own a Mac.) Too bad they do not list a bounty for someone to compile one for them. I believe that you can also run a virtual machine with Ubuntu under Mac. Not sure though, since I don't own a Mac.

Anyone gotten any updates from yobit?

I haven't heard anything but new coin announcements. I did open a developer request maybe that will get some traction.

They probably can't locate their private keys for their cold wallet for BOD.

That cluster in early october is making me excited  Grin

We'll see where Bitcoin goes. So far, it's been exploding pretty well. I think I was right with the coin needing some time before rebounding. We'll see how much further it gets on this climb.

Oct. 8 is conspicuously open.

What happens if it falls on that date?

 Cheesy

I believe that it goes to whoever is closest. In this case player514 would get it if it happens before noon UTC, and Oinas if in the afternoon UTC.

So is the plan by BTC.top and magical mystery miners to just let the blocks come about an hour apart for a while? Maybe until the other chain catches up? Or are they hoping the can attract more devotees to mine? Wu already only selling latest S9 batch for Bitcoin Cash. Not Bitcoin, not cash, just Bitcoin Cash. (And definitely not LTC!)

Probably continue as normal practice let it limp for a day then disappear once Jihan tells them to take a break

I can't wait until a competitor unseats Bitmain. Just hope the competitor isn't worse.  Grin

I am a noob so not quite sure if I qualify but I am going to try. I just learned about cryptocurrency recently and this forum but I completely understand not letting new accounts in on something like this.

You can request, but you will have to wait in line until all the slots in the higher ranks are filled. Probably to try and discourage people from creating new accounts just to get more coins, and filling the lowest tier first. I would send your message to the developer, now, so you don't miss out when the newbies get their distribution (If the JR members don't fill up the lowest tier, first.)

What do you mean, he only accepts BCH as payment?

Bitmain only accepts BCH for the current batch of s9 miners. I think you can purchase other equipment with other means, however.

Yes, my bad. I didn't see it first. I edited my post. Thank you.

4. Only BCC payment method is accepted in this batch

Although, he prices it mainly on USD. If he would price it ONLY in BCH/BCC... now THAT would be interesting. Wink

Yes, when I first saw the news, it confused me too since they list the price in BTC, fiat, LTC and BCC.

 coins received, thanks
as I understand it now you need to keep your wallet open POS mining?

Yes, you can only get a POS block if your wallet is open to the network and unlocked to staking. However, if you close your wallet, when you open it up again, your weight will still have accumulated. You just miss out on the "compounding" effect.
