2881  Economy / Economics / Re: $900K worth of counterfeit U.S. currency seized on: February 01, 2020, 07:16:12 AM
I would rather say, China is a country which is getting most advanced and also they do have alternative for each and every commodity so why would not be the case with counterfeit US dollars? This is not the first time I am going through any such news, but previously even larger number of counterfeit currencies are been seized by a number of countries and not only the US.

This might not start any trade war as there might be no such intentions but just they would like to sell fake currencies to the US in order to generate revenue for their own sake. This is the most contagious tendency and I am sure there would be some means and modes to identify and eliminate such counterfeit currencies because those can unbalance the economic conditions of the specific country.
2882  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: February 01, 2020, 03:55:47 AM
I don't see why would government's cryptocurrency be a threath. Competition is good, such cryptocurrencies don't have any special position in.the market, in.fact they are often without success. And if they succeed to attract users and compete with their value that is a good thing.
Also, that shows that governments are interested in cryptocurrencies and explore.their possibilities and that is positive sign.
Yes. For me, this is a positive development for crypto because it just shows that the government have come to trust crypto but they want to take advantage so they create their own digital currencies. And i think this will be a good start for majority of the people to fully understand how crypto works and its advantage compared to fiat currency.
But we cannot actually just rely on the governments. Blockchain technology is been popular due to its emerging features like anonymity, transparency, fast and global transactions, etc which would perhaps be disturbed by the governments if they ever try to enter the cryptocurrency field.

They would not for sure accept cryptocurrencies as they are because it might cause some internal or external matters which would affect the economy of the country and hence the governments might need to modify some changes like creating a coin which could be traceable, etc. This would not be that good for the community here as they would make cryptocurrencies loose their original state of nature.
2883  Economy / Economics / Re: If you could invest your cryptocurrencies in the environment would you? on: January 31, 2020, 04:06:17 PM
If there would be any higher benefits by investing in the environment around us than for sure much of the people would invest in the same. But in case if we have no profits by investing in the environment around us than there would be minimum people who would invest some shares of their profits into such cause just to support to environment from getting from bad to worst.

There are a lot of NGO's which actively invest into some of these causes like you mentioned maybe about the pollution caused or tree plantations or anything like this which helps in the betterment of the environment but in case of cryptocurrencies, people need profits which would be the main motto behind them to join with the cryptocurrency markets. But yet, I would personally invest into something similar to this.
2884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold backed Tether coming. on: January 31, 2020, 03:04:51 PM
It will work. imagine that you want to be out of crypto for a while but you dont want to stay in usd and you dont want to just cash out. Gold would be a good option to wait.
besides that with gold will provide comfort in investing because these assets are trusted by everyone to invest. gold, like bitcoin, will be suitable for long-term investment, and we can exchange crypto again after the beary trend ends
Gold is always an important aspect of investment. Most of the people do trade with gold and it can be much beneficial for the long run. Even gold has a ascending price which would surely be hiked in the near coming future because the supply for gold is limited but the demand keeps on rising which also rises the price for gold.

Gold would be much more costlier than it is now in few coming years as we can see, most of the people or maybe each of the people have a desire to own gold ornaments just to maintain their pride and it is what would create a scarce demand for gold which can give us a better outcome for all gold investors. I can't find that good profits in gold backed tether though.
2885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Safe Haven for Your Money? on: January 31, 2020, 10:58:55 AM
Judging from the price movement I would say that it is quite good, I will give it about 50% to 60% safe? Roll Eyes
But, it is not everyone that will be able to have that level of patience, there are people that gave up along the line and especially now that Bitcoin price is high some people wouldn’t like to be taking that risk.

Everything has been going fine since the last decade, but what about the next? Do you even know if it’s still going to be the same? If you can invest and have that level of patience of waiting for a really long time, then it’s good and if you’re lucky there might be a bull run within a short after you have invested and the price would go up.
2886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about DASH? on: January 31, 2020, 07:56:19 AM
What do you think about DASH for investing?
Dash comes under one of the most popular cryptocurrency. People have faith in Dash and also we can find a number of long term holders holding dash in their portfolio. Dash actually is a digital cash which you may spend everywhere you wish and it might also bring dash to a newer generation where local payment means would be replaced with dash for instant, secure and mobile-friendly transactions.

Dash have huge potential because it might soon turn out to be a need of most of the people who love to transact digitally in their native countries for purchase goods and services. Dash might serve us as a coin which would replace the traditional financial monetary systems and this would bring huge demand for dash. This might attract us investors to stay close with dash and at least hold some amount in our portfolio bag with some other potential coins.
2887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Altcoin's Price Jump? on: January 31, 2020, 07:19:48 AM
The price of bitcoin and altcoins do not really tied as much as it used to be, I mean yeah there is some connection but nowadays it could do anything; it could be bitcoin going up and altcoin going down, it could be bitcoin and altcoin going up, it could be bitcoin and altcoin going down or bitcoin going down and altcoin going up, all of those could be happening at anytime and I wouldn't be shocked, and ALL of that has happened before so we can't really say that its connected anymore, anything could happen.

Altcoins as a whole jumping up is not really as common as you might imagine, the top 10 and top 20 does go up together usually but check out the market in general and usually the market as a whole is very rare, happens like once or twice a year, so if it happens you have to take advantage of it, if you didn't then go in too late.
2888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Places To Hold Initial Coin Offerings on: January 31, 2020, 06:30:41 AM
If I had any chance to create my own coin in anyway or shape one day, I would honestly give it for free on PoW and not do anything myself. Maybe new people do not remember those days but back in the day if there was a coin to be created they would just release the wallet and let people mine it to have it instead of giving it away instead of ethereum or bnb or anything, the owners and creators didn't made any money from it, there wasn't premined or anything.

Nowadays all coins are fully premined and given away in exchange of money for it and I dislike the current system. Just make a coin, release the wallet and let people use it however they want, I wouldn't own any of it when it first starts and maybe mine it as much as I can but that's it, wouldn't get any extra from anyone else.
2889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bakkt on: January 30, 2020, 05:58:04 PM
Lol! People were so excited about bakkt and how it would increase the price of bitcoin and look at it now Cheesy. It is literally at zero for the past week and they are not even trying to hide it or fake volume it or anything, they just let everything go. If bakkt deals with everything like this I wonder how they have survived so far on other stuff, personally I would have expected them to literally go bankrupt until they start the bitcoin part of their business if they were this bad on anything else.

Thankfully public doesn't care about bakkt anymore so that price can't get any lower because of it, they can close down shop all together and not deal with crypto anymore from now on and it would still not hurt bitcoin or any other coins prices. I say good riddance, we don't need them.
2890  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving. on: January 30, 2020, 05:05:35 PM
If we are expecting price pump this year than we should also be ready for the halving which might occur immediately after the pump occurs. This has already been shown to us by bitcoins in the mid 2017 and hence this time we should prepare ourselves firstly in order to face those situations.

In situation like bitcoin halving, leverage trading would be most beneficial I guess as we can easily short or long bitcoins and make instant profits even in the bearish markets. This has been a life saver one but yes, it does posses a number of risks which needs to be studied before going onto leverage trading. Let's first consume the sweet fruits from the bull markets and than think about the halving.

2892  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: January 27, 2020, 03:59:46 PM
Tried few browsers and the condition is still the same,I don't think this has anything to do with the browser, its just from the website which takes like 5 or more seconds to get loads up but not having any issues once the website opened up which switching the tabs or games.

There have been some lag issues, this had to do with two major things, dealing with a faucet abuser (with cloudflare) and also improving our sockets. Hopefully both are at least better taken care of now than before. If there continues to be some lag please report it here and if possible be specific and we'll try to fix/improve it.
It is too sad that almost all casinos that offer faucet is having troubles with faucet abusers, it is really a shame because most places for example started to remove or already removed their faucet since it did more harm than help them.

The idea behind faucet wasn't to get people earn money, it wasn't even really just help the poor people feel like they gamble neither, it was to show people what type of website a casino is and get them to play and see and if they enjoy the faucet part of the deal, they might also deposit as well. That is the real reason why faucets on casinos really first started.

However with the amount of technology available, many people literally hacked together a bot that could basically try to abuse faucets as much as possible and get as much money as possible. In the end they can't be making too much money from it, plus they are also making sure no one else can use it neither. It is a loss-loss equation that they are too blind to see.
2893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You CANNOT trade successfully without RISK-MANAGEMENT on: January 27, 2020, 11:10:56 AM
As long as it’s business that you’re talking about if you don’t know how to manage your risks then you’re likely to fail. Risks management is very important and will help your business to grow. And like you have said, trading bots are also not 100% reliable, you can lose your money. Some people sees trading bots as something that will make them make steady profit but that is not true.

There are also free trade bots and those ones are the worst, paid bots are the ones that are a bit better, but they still don’t make any sense because the losses you will see will be more than profit, so it’s better to do it yourself.
2894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you record and preserve Bitcoin history? on: January 21, 2020, 05:29:59 AM
Even if you need the first version of the first crypto wallet ever, I believe there are sites then that managed to store it lol Grin. I do save things that I feel are important, but I don’t think I have ever saved anything that’s related cryptocurrency, neither have I saved an older versions of a wallet. Speak of wallets, I just update my wallet when there is an update and I don’t really save the old updates because when I update the older versions get automatically deleted.

But, I have seen a lot of sites where you can get older versions of a wallet. You can find almost anything online these days. Honestly like most other people here I am also running out of time to enjoy those thing hence preserving them is not all becoming impossible for myself too.
2895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Drama on: January 17, 2020, 04:48:18 PM
It is awesome to have all these fake bsv soldiers around here for the past few days, all they want is to create some sort of marketing in order to get more people involved with BSV so they can leave by selling. I mean if you are the only person who buys or trades BSV in the end you will have hard time selling it someone, so they need new people to get in and take their place in the BSV world so they can leave.

All these marketing, all these promotions, all this increase in price, everything that has happened in BSV world this week has all been to get new people involved in BSV and make them buy this worthless junk. Eventually everyone will realize how Craig is a moron and world will continue without BSV being in top 10 anymore, probably will be outside of top 100 eventually.
2896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: to be able to get a large profit in today's trading is very difficult! on: January 17, 2020, 02:48:59 PM
I assume volatility hurts many of us here, just recently I moved from bitcoin to another coin for example and that coin didn't skyrocketed like all the other coins, it is in a better situation right now then it was when I moved so I am technically in "profit" right now but that doesn't change the fact that I could have been in a bigger profit if I stayed in bitcoin, or moved to another coin that went up even higher.

People only look at their profits and losses but reality is you also have the "missed profits" thing that nobody cares about and that is the biggest loss of them all. You going from 1000 dollars to 1100 dollars is not really a profit if you could have went from 1000 dollars to 2000 dollars but missed that out for the 100 dollars you made, that looks like a profit but in reality is not.
2897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Bleeding on: January 17, 2020, 02:16:05 PM
The top coins has always been my best choice because they are mainly profitable than the coins that are in the lower position. The smaller altcoins are mostly disappointment Angry. There are times I would invest in smaller altcoins and when the market is going up with the top altcoins, these small altcoins will just keep disappointing and losing their value which is really annoying and they can be easily manipulated by anyone which is another thing I don’t like, because after such manipulation they tend to become shit coins.

The situation is complete different for last 3 to 4 days just due to Craig's Satoshi stunt. So far he provided the address where 1.1 million bitcoins reside and NOT signing up with considerable early addys to prove his early contribution.
2898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BSV goes up by 50% in 24 hours, bull trap? on: January 17, 2020, 01:43:03 PM
Yeah, I have been using a shared masternode thing for dash as well and I just got out, I think it will go down a bit more later in the week or this month so I can buy more and get a bigger share hopefully, this is just too good to not sell. I think there has been MANY altcoins that went up lately so its not weird about just BSV and its generally just all altcoins.

We have really missed the altcoin party, it has been soooo long since the last time alts went up this much, plus we are seeing bitcoin go up at the same time as well. The last time both alts and bitcoin all went up, we ended up with that 20k peak times, I don't want to jinx it by saying this but I feel like we are actually going up to a new records as well, probably won't be that quick but hopefully we can reach a new ATH in at least few coins.
2899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Monero Be The Best Investment In 2020? on: January 17, 2020, 08:33:03 AM
Well!! Did you know? One of the altcoin called monero has gained so much popularity in the crypto market, as it is showing the best signs in the market.
Several cryptocurrency experts assume that monero has the ability to show its potential in the crypto market.

According to crypto expert monero price will rise high in the coming days.
https://coinpedia.org/information/xmr-monero-price-prediction/

Let me know your point of view on this?
Maybe you’re right, I have also seen a few articles that have been mentioned as assets to be considered seriously in 2020 and Monero wasn’t among them.

There are two coins, according to Coin house and some other sites, that are to be considered seriously and the number one is Tezos (XTZ) which is an Ethereum competitor. Although I don’t believe that Tezos will be able to beat ETH, but it will perform very well as it has done in 2019. Apart from Tezos other assets that should be considered are DAI, Cosmos, and Polkadot should be closely examined.
2900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hottest alts of 2020 on: January 16, 2020, 05:02:43 PM
What do you think the hottest alts will be this year?

Very interested in getting strong opinions on this.
Many will have their own choice of coins for sure but you don't want to start making decision on others choices, you have all the details you need at your door, why don't you do some findings yourself and make a decision?
Actually each individual has made his/her own analysis before investing into any coin and also they have found a better entry price to invest into the coin at the perfect movement. You should try not to follow anyone's portfolio because they already have bought the coin at a better price which would never give you an chance to accumulate at that price again in the markets.

You should try to make your own analysis before buying any coin and at least you should try to understand the graphs and make purchase on the approximate prices. This would make you bear profits, but in case you select a suitable coin but at an unsuitable price than you would not have any higher chances of gaining profits.
