1941  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much lower you think BTC can go in this drop ? on: March 07, 2021, 05:12:44 PM
since when the big investors start coming in ? i think it was still early but if that crosses around 3 to 6 months , they may sold thier coins but not in a way of manipulating it  . they are not manipulators but big companies are formal investors , it was the whales are manipulating this the market . now you know @op , i hope you can get an idea to what i said and you should act now if your plan is to buy because the price wont drop further until some times but the probability that it will increase is there.
I agree on that there will be a great posibility that bitcoin will not fall continuously i think it will continue to rise up to 100k$ at the last quarter of the year, because bitcoin is now becoming more useful and many investors trust it so even of it will fall it will surely rise up high again.
There is a big difference between "bitcoin will not crash like it used to" and "bitcoin will reach 100k", I am somewhere in between of what you are suggesting. I do believe that it will not crash but I also believe 100k is not anywhere close just yet, obviously that will happen, I am not saying it won't, I just think that it will not happen anytime soon. Probably 2022? That seems like a good time to reach that level if you ask me.

During that period I believe it is going to be at a level where the price will be somewhere between 60k to 80k and that seems reasonable, it would be somewhere 20-40% increase and that is realistic for a whole year in bitcoin world, not like it is shocking. I believe it is going to be something that is realistic and not like the previous 5 months or so, this past 5 months was great but that kind of increase is not sustainable at all.
1942  Economy / Speculation / Re: magic ball ON on: March 07, 2021, 04:29:10 PM
Bitcoin will hit $ 80,000     will start its impulse on 6/3/2021 Shocked, Ethereum can't chase it Undecided.

The ETH / BTC pair will go down. Wink

I highly recommend swap to ETH when BTC take around 80k or sell to USD, then wait for a good ETH price. All the market will go drop later. Embarrassed
I believe we are in a situation where nobody can guess what will happen. However ethereum is not a bad investment I can say that. How do I know? Well, by July we are going to have eip 1559 which would make the transactions cheaper once again, and drastically as well so it should be like under 2-3 dollars at least which is a big deal and I think that should be one of the most important parts of the ETH changes.

Secondly we are still on path of 2.0, there is really nothing that could stop ethereum as well because by the looks of it they are going to achieve that in the next year or so and that will increase the price a lot as well. This is why I believe eth will do fine in near future.
1943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 07, 2021, 03:37:33 PM
While everyone is expecting with confidence that Liverpool will win against Fulham the facts are completely reversed.  Liverpool's game really doesn't have the slightest bit of enthusiasm, the lack of attacking and underestimating the opponent makes them unable to score a single goal until 60 minutes walk.  Anyone who bet on Liverpool today is very sad, the team that is not expected to produce good results.
I guess there is a situation in liverpool where they do not care anymore, if they win they win if they lose they lose, there is no more "goals" and there is no hard work anymore, gegenpress is something that requires a lot of people to work really hard, it requires conditioning and a lot of pressing and it makes players very tired very quickly because it is high tempo, and Liverpool doesn't look like they care about that anymore.

It is not about winning or losing for them anymore, it is about "let's get this over with already" for them, I think many things will change this off-season during summer because they can't accept this situation anymore. Premier league is an unforgiving league, if you do not give 100% to them, they will destroy you, every team is scary and if you take any of the teams at the top half of the table they could rival championship in most other leagues.
1944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 06, 2021, 05:34:58 PM
Only thing good about this all-star weekend will be the fact that things will kick off very early, it is going to be on Sunday and everything will be done in just one day. We will watch the skill challenge, we will watch dunk contest and three point shoot contest, and after that regular all-star game will start. That is the only good thing about this weekend because in a year where there is a safety issue because of coronavirus, bringing players from all over the nation into just one location and making them play together for a while and spreading them around back to their own teams could result with devastating health issues.

I mean teams do play against each other but at least we know 2-3 teams that could be in danger, aside from that everyone else is usually fine, this year has been great, only few teams had a problem, but with all-star that could spread to almost every team.
1945  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the world be without poverty on: March 06, 2021, 04:50:41 PM
The world can live without people dying of hunger, that is one thing that is true. Jobs are something the world can't live out of however, so in this case, if everyone is given the chance to formal education, and at the same time job opportunities and livable wage, poverty can be eradicated while maintaining the current hierarchy of things, unfortunately the upper echelons are blinded by greed and would do anything in their ability to ensure they hoard all the money in the world.
There is one more thing to keep in mind that the wealthy people are so because they have a mindset to save more and spend less. I was watching a social experiment video on youtube recently and it proved that people who had nothing or call them homeless were the first ones to help others when asked for small amounts of money or food while the rich people going across didn't even bother asking the person in need.

This clearly shows that certain people are poor because they might be too generous. I am not getting into the debate whether helping others is a bad idea because I myself do the best I can to help whenever I can, but all I am saying is that sometimes we are responsible for our own financial status. Those who are greedy will always save more and spend less which is seen as being a miser but they are in much better financial status.
1946  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you trade? on: March 06, 2021, 09:19:57 AM
I trade on Spot more often than Margin and Futures because they offer good returns and are less risky. As for any potential altcoins, I would jump them a small amount and wait for them to increase in value. I will take profit with my initial money and leave them free because I have returned my capital.
I agree that spot trading is the original and more solid form of trading and margin trading is good if you know the asset won't just swing too much which is what actually happens in the crypto market. Although profits are higher in margin and futures trading, I can assure you that because I have done it in past.

Altcoins are too risky so unless they have a good market cap I don't buy many of them.

I think now should try to participate in good ICO or IDO projects that are being held on decentralized exchanges. Just join a few projects and wait for them to be listed on exchanges and you will be able to get rich quickly without spending a lot of trading time.
Don't do it, if you are seeking advice. I can tell you that there are lots of scam projects even in the DeFi market now and you might avoid a few but will eventually fall for one of them. They make you believe like they are the future and once you start talking in their group (telegram), there are fake members who will even show like they are investing a lot of money. Most of them are paid shills who are paid to just talk positive and create hype.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2020/21 Season on: March 06, 2021, 05:54:57 AM
I don't know what's going on. Galatasaray lost 3 valuable points against Ankaragucu. Fenerbahce shared points with Antalyaspor yesterday. Galatasaray and Fenerbahce were the favorites in both matches. They did not produce the expected results. Besiktas will play against Gaziantep tomorrow. i think Besiktas will also lose points in this matche too.
When a team plays so good for so long, they tend to have a bad game eventually, obviously it takes quality team to keep it going as long as possible, Manchester City is on a roll right now for nearly 30 game winning streak for example, even including champions league, obviously you can't expect that from a Turkish team, however they have been doing good in their own league and that is why it is obvious that teams just let go for this one game.

Galatasaray losing to last team in the league was a big shocker, I mean sure Fenerbahce tie is weird too but it was both a tie and not a loss and it was against 10th team as well versus GS losing to last team in the league. I guess complacency played a huge role in this and both teams just gave up. Besiktas had this as well recently, had like a loss and a tie back to back which is why they got tied. I suppose they will win this weekend but I don't know anymore, everything looks weird.
1948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 05, 2021, 06:58:53 PM

I agree with you but 6 points are not such a big difference to feel so sure and comfortable. Even if I will like to see some other team getting the trophy, Juve is Juve... Undecided
of course it's not a big difference in score
you are absolutely right

however ibraimovic and others from his team make me think that Milan will win
In my opinion, Inter is also a possible winner of the Scudetto ..
we will see Cheesy
It may not be simple, it may not be easy, it might even be very difficult, but looking at how Juventus is playing I can say that they have a pretty good chance to be second at the very least, there hasn't been any team aside from Inter that did 5 for 5 in their last 5 games, which shows that Inter is doing better than other teams, Juve had 1 loss and 1 tie, Milan had 2 loss and one tie, which shows that they are not getting closer at any time, but this shows that Juve got 3 points closer to Milan as well.

This is why I think by the end of the season we may see Inter as champions, Juve as second, Milan as third, that is the most likely outcome if you ask me. I can't really guarantee this of course, Inter may end up losing a lot of games, or Milan may win all the games left, who knows what will happen, this is just what I assume based on the momentum teams have.
1949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never catch a falling knive on: March 05, 2021, 06:32:05 PM
i don't understood what do you mean, but i think that you are trying to say that we should not buy bitcoin at this time because of the red Candel
Yes, he means when the price is falling don't buy BTC because the price might go further down in coming time. I kind of agree with him in general but exceptionally for BTC I would never agree on such thoughts because BTC has shown how many times it goes down and then grows again.

Sometimes catching a falling knife works and can give good profit. Let suppose a coin is dumping fast and you bought it in the middle of the dump. Very often we see that after the straight dump a big wick is created and price bounce back. In that case, if the price bounce back, we can take profits. However if the price keep dumping, then we would be in a loss.
I don't think many altcoins are able to achieve that because once they start falling, almost no one wants to hold those coins. Like recently when SEC issues were known to traders they immediately sold XRP and the price went as low as $0.2 or so and it managed to recover because of the humongous market cap but a small coin won't be able to replicate that.
1950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Be in a hurry on: March 05, 2021, 02:47:21 PM
I'd realize already that we need sometimes to be patient. I don't say I was preferred for a long-term holding as this will also depend on the situation.

From $100 and sold it at $500, and in the next day, it becomes $1,000. You will surely be regretting but because we don't know that it will happen, I don't think it is a need to feel like that. Because the day we decided to sell it, we definitely think that we are right and yes, we even get more profit. t It was not regretting unless if you sell at losing because you were not able to wait longer for the price to recover (in many cases it happens).
It is not easy, I get it, that patience is not really that easy and that is why I believe many people sell early or buy right away whenever they end up finding something. This is not that difficult to decide, it is really something that is basically just "wait until you are sure" thing and that is why it is not really acceptable for failing because you are required to need just one thing and one thing only and many people fail that simple thing, I agree that it is simple.

So, why am I understanding of those people? Because even though it is simple, it is something that is not really built into people's brain, it is not easy, human nature is against accepting slowness when it comes to richness, when you tell someone "get this and you will be rich in 50 years" they will not really see that as acceptable, they want to get rich right now, but people who can wait will be the real rich people.
1951  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic II on: March 04, 2021, 04:40:17 PM
I feel like BTC/USD is gonna go sideways for a little while, prolly a couple of weeks, giving alts to catch up with BTC losing ground on dominance and solidify the much awaited alt season imo.

And it’s still very early into alt season judging from the last time alts broke out of their highs.  But dunno...  I could be wrong.

This is exactly what I told people and they didn't realized it, I mean we are in a situation where bitcoin will be forced to go up, and nobody can stop that, but for now I believe alts are too low and everyone has seen what they can be, like BNB was 340 dollars or so literally just some days ago, it hasn't even been 2 weeks I think, so obviously people will "if everything is going up, bnb will be 340+ again so I should buy it" and they will go in there, which is why I think we are doing fine.

Not like that is a bad thing, they should keep investing into crypto, that is the good way, but that doesn't change the fact that bitcoin will have to wait for it for a while. Basically life will be a bit more stable for bitcoin for a while, be at 50-55 range for a week or two, and during that period alts will go up about 50% or so and reach to previous all time high levels.
1952  Economy / Speculation / Re: For all of you scared of the current dip on: March 04, 2021, 04:04:54 PM
Please realize that, at least so far, Bitcoin is carving out support at $44k/$45k. Just one month ago it carved out support at $29k/$30k. Support is literally 50% higher in a single month. That's a ton!

It is surprising we only got two weeks of upside between two major corrections, but price did go up 50% (~$38k to $58k) in those two weeks.

Also remember, consolidation/corrections = market balance. The way we get a blow-off top and 80% year long crash is when market goes parabolic for too long and a flood of immature investors throw everything they have into it and then panic sell everything shortly afterward and leave the market for years. I'd rather have a plenty of corrections like we've now got in both January and February, with overall good growth, that extends what levels people are willing to invest at, and therefore extends the bull run, rather than a market that goes parabolic already and leads to a big sustained crash in the very near term.
I believe this cycle is longer than the previous one because the previous one peaked in a month not in a 12 month situation. How?

Well, it did reached to 1k but it didn't move above 4k at all during the whole year until November and after that in December we reached to 20k, so as you can see it did more than 5x just in one month and not in other months, in other months it may have profited as well but it wasn't anywhere near the peak level at all. Whereas this time around we are doing much better, we are going 5x and then doing another 5x on top of that, and all of that happens in a 6 or so month spread so this is much better if you ask me.

I can't say what will happen, maybe things will be much better or much worse but it is definitely something much better because we are going up and down and testing crash and failing which means we are doing much better when price fails to go down.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone placed esports bets? on: March 04, 2021, 03:34:36 PM
There are a lot of people who are betting in DOTA 2 and the prize pool is always high compared to other games. Maybe soon I'll try to bet in a FPS games like that, I'm updated in our local tournament but I just don't feel about betting in that game because it is really unpredictable on which team is the best.
No doubt it's unpredictable to bet on esports but if you know the teams you are betting on, their playstyle, their weakness and their strength then it can help you a lot. For example, if you are betting on DOTA2 and observe some teams closely like Nigma, you will notice that player Miracle plays a few heroes amazingly while others not so well. Some even say that Miracle's Medusa is impossible to beat and these things help you make bets because you can see if the players are picking heroes they are comfortable with, then they have better chances while odds aren't much impacted with how the draft phase goes.

I've never tried to bet in a live FPS esports game even though I played a lot of games like Valorant, CS:GO and COD etc.
Playing a game doesn't mean you will be good at betting, that's true, I played a lot of soccer in my college time but that doesn't make me good at betting on soccer. But knowing the sport certainly helps as you at least know all the rules and possibilities of winning and losing.
1954  Economy / Economics / Re: after gamestop's short squeeze, reddit turns to doge. 600%+ today on: March 03, 2021, 03:48:26 PM
In the mid and long term, Doge will return to the low levels it was before the pump. Quite simply because there is nothing fundamentally in favor of this coin. It's a fun project, as it was planned and as it always will be. And a meme and play object for people like Elon Musk who briefly push the coin out of self-satisfaction. There's a reason Tesla invested $ 1.2 billion in Bitcoin instead of Doge.
Actually, once the fun is over, the dogecoin might actually die as a cryptocurrency because already a dead coin it was and slowly dying. I remember a very good statement from someone "good advertising and popularity can kill a bad product even faster" and that is what will happen with dogecoin eventually as everyone who is buying now will want to get rid of it once the fun is over and Elon Musk stops the fake pumping through his tweets.

The smartest people right now in the dogecoin market are those who already cashed their profits when the price reached its peak. The dumbest will be those who keep holding the coin despite the price slowly coming down in hope that Musk will again pump it, and frankly speaking even the tweets from Musk are becoming insignificant and unable to lift the dogecoin market.
1955  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan says large firms will not follow Tesla's bitcoin move on: March 03, 2021, 01:02:30 PM
Not all of these large firms can be pleased enough with Bitcoin. Despite Elon Musk’s influence in buying Bitcoin worth $1.5 billion, you can’t expect that others may be following suit. Only a few handful ones like Microstrategy, Mastercard, etc., are just seeing the vision and know how Bitcoin could help them in the long run.
The problem is because of blockchain being such complex although excellent technology, there are not many who fully understand what it can provide and those who understand will never think twice before investing and adopting Bitcoins. Elon Musk being a technology lover has understood what Bitcoin does and what it can do to the economy and hence he adopted it, others might take time.

Someone 10 years ago if predicted that bitcoin will be $50k each Bitcoin, people might have laughed and cracked jokes about it but today after it reached that value, we now realize the potential.

Similarly, it will take time for people to understand and adopt Bitcoins but I can easily say that Bitcoin will be worldwide accepted in the coming 5 years, might sound like an exaggeration now but not after 5 years. As far as JP Morgan's statements are considered, he doesn't own the world.
1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Trust In-House Casino Competition? (Wager/Multiplier/Raffle) on: March 03, 2021, 08:46:51 AM
Basically, no-one can very such leader-board nor their in-house competition becasue what they do wholly are just within. Have entered into different competitions that i presumed to be manipulated by the house but at the end there wasn't a means to verify the results. From that day onward, i repented from participating into such competition becasue they are not verifiable and fake are much just to collect your little pay as for ticket.
I don't think any reputed site will ever rig a wagering contest. I know and fully understand the discussion that since the games in crypto gambling are provably fair, we are also looking at contests and wondering how to make them provably fair as well. I don't participate in many wager contests myself but from what I have seen, most of the players who win or are part of the leaderboard are usually active in the chat which makes me think the contest isn't rigged.

A simple solution to such contests is this: Make fixed limits like any player who wagers X amount of money will get Y amount of prize regardless of what others have achieved. This means that the prizes are fixed and cheating is impossible. It kills the fun to race against other players but at least makes it fairer.
1957  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: March 02, 2021, 12:33:23 PM
So we already have 25 users winning the raffle please check your name here https://roobet.com/25k-mega-roolette-raffle
As usual, I was not lucky again with 705 tickets , there is a user who only has 4 tickets and wins  Cheesy this is a list of lucky users with tickets under 300

fireposeidon -  4
nasermejbel -  264
Juridia19 -  107
That's the art of a raffle, anyone can win it even with low number of tickets.
You can push your winning chance by having more tickets than other but luck is the one to decide Smiley
Dont give up buddy, keep trying whenever there is another raffle and hopefully you'll be one of the winners in the next raffle (if any).
I have seen people win like with just one ticket, that is really the trick here because we are in a situation where people give up hope and not even try because they can't get much. There isn't really anything you could do about getting more tickets if you do not have money but the reality is that even if you can get just 4, as you can see you will still have a chance to win something big. So, that means if you give up and think that "there are so many people who will own so much and mine will be nothing" and they will miss out on the chance fireposeidon got, and that is why they are going to do something wrong if they give up before they even try.

Yeah, I had a small amount of tickets and it wasn't a big amount and I won nothing as well but that was expected, but you never know when you will be like fireposedion or when you will be like me so there is always a good reason to test.
1958  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: whale tactics? on: March 02, 2021, 10:37:03 AM
If you brought low and it was now high, then you could start off selling high and keep selling lower to lower the price.  People like a bargain would keep buying as it went down.  As long as you don't go below your "low" then you know you could immediately buy it all back for a fraction of what you sold it for?  Is there a name for this tactic?
I would say its Pump and Dump technique and a very common tactic but only works in markets where the volume is low. Now days because the bitcoin market is so big and a lot of big names are also investing so I don't think one can play with the market like they might have done before. Yes you can sell when the market is high and buy when the market is low, that's common and normal trading because then the market is moving itself and you aren't manipulating it.

Pump and dump is the opposite.  That is inflating the market abs selling at the top.  Completely different.  You need the power to pump it which is the hard bit.
Well, then maybe it can be termed as Dump and Pump, as you sell the coins you hold and then once you get the money from selling, you can then buy and hence pump the market. I don't think its much of a difference because either ways anyone manipulating the market is playing pump and dump.
1959  Economy / Economics / Re: Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ? on: March 02, 2021, 08:40:04 AM
Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ?

If you buy land, each year even if you don't work it you get weeds ... if you dry them you can use them to make a fire ...and in turn that generates energy ...

Meaning: that piece of land is giving you a dividend each year .

Where's my dividend if i invest in crypto ?
If you are still asking why you are investing into something that means you should not be investing into that thing, because there aren't really a reason that we could share with you that you already can't find online.

Go google search "why do people invest into bitcoin" and you will get a million answers, or if you want to invest into another coin you could always write "why do people invest into X coin" and put any coin you want instead of X and you will be basically finding insane amount of returns, or you could talk with people and they can tell you but it won't be too much different from the answers you find in google neither.

Long story short, all the "reasons" you can find in crypto have already been said so far and there isn't anything new that would change anything for you, which is why I believe it is quite awesome to invest and that is for me, if you do not feel like it then don't.
1960  Economy / Economics / Re: Global debt soars to 356% of GDP on: March 02, 2021, 05:59:54 AM
The new innovations created by Tesla make this company very attractive positioning for investors.  Because with the new technology it is developing, it is one of the reasons for its rising shares.  Same with the actions of the owner buying BTC and being open to new innovations in the currency world, showing that this company is aware of every possibility that exists in the future.  Have a visionary and pioneer thinking.  I think this is quite representative of the increase in Tesla stock.
Agreed. In this aspect Tesla and Bitcoin are very similar. Tesla represents the future of automobile industry, while Bitcoin represents the future of payments industry. Tesla and Bitcoin in 2020s will be similar to what Apple and Amazon was in the 1990s. But still in case of Tesla, I believe that it's P/E of >1,000 is a bit high for my liking. Similarly, even Elon Musk is now saying that Bitcoin prices look high.
I do not believe that "a better future deserves more money" deal anymore, sure Tesla was offering something great and that is why many people invested into it, and they all got a car for themselves if they can afford it, but the reality is that we are not in a situation like that anymore, we are in a "change something right now" situation and Elon did earned all his money already, but we should definitely invest that much money into research as well.

There are so so so many research stuff in the world that will not give us a car, and that is why we are not getting it, we could have a lot more food, we could have a lot more shelter, we could have better climate that is not killing us, we could beat cancer, we could maybe even cure aids, basically we could save the world if we just didn't give money to things that gave us something back, if we just gave money for improvement. That is called donation obviously but we do not donate nearly enough to academic research.
