2881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: February 13, 2021, 09:33:08 AM
Starting out with cash..? Does journaling truly help ?
~snip~
By journaling, you mean doing research to learn the things that you don’t know about?
^ Probably journaling that he meant is that to have a gameplan, it is the way to monitor the market and record the previous history that will probably repeat itself in the future. If that is what OP means, it really has great help to him, and stick to the plan will most likely always get a profit because you can able to control your emotion. If you have a plan you will have an idea of when the exit point, when to take profit, and when you leave the market. There are too many advantages to be made if you have journaling everything the decision you have.
2882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Using Binance in New York. on: February 13, 2021, 09:20:16 AM
~snip~
My question is would it allow me convert BTC into BNB that i can send from Coinbase to Binance ? Basically buy BTC on coinbase , send it to Binance and convert it into BNB.
^ Why not directly buy BTC on binance exchange? If you can access that exchange without using a VPN to access it, you are fine and you can buy BTC.
However, your idea is not bad but I think you will suffer probably high fees buying from coinbase and then sending it to binance.
Follow as they advise above and use binance.us, there is no need to bypass anything, if you cant access, don't take a risk, instead, use decentralized exchange that surely never required KYC.
2883  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What exchanges can you buy bitcoin with USD instantly without waiting periods on: February 13, 2021, 09:04:03 AM
I bought from Coinbase, but there is a 10 day hold on it, so it's stuck in there for that length. Considering that, I would not buy from coinbase again if there is a better option without such a long waiting period. Is there a faster and better way (besides P2P)?
^ P2p is the best exchange because it did not ask about your personal identity and I suggest, BISQ exchange.
You can have your own research and I will give you this link to choose which is the better one, https://www.thebalance.com/best-places-to-buy-bitcoin-4170081. Nevertheless, since I don't know which country you are in, try to look at any local exchange that you will probably use. Because as I know it is easy to buy and sell BTC on the local exchange.
2884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i wait for a pull back on ada to get in on: February 12, 2021, 10:20:39 AM
....if ada did pull back how much do you think it could drop?
How much of a pullback are you actually expecting before buying? Checking the graph from Coingecko, it already went sub $0.90 after reaching $0.97 in the last 24 hours. Are you not satisfied with that 10% pullback? If you are expecting more then you should check how its performing in the last 7 days up to 1 year.
^ I don't think there is a pullback as of now, we know that it is a bull market of all altcoins, even those shit coins as of now have value in the market. So probably there is no exact buying point of Polkadot. It is almost $1 now the price, if you think it will surpass and hit $2 soon, then buy it. But there is always a risk upon buying a bull market because you did not know when is a pullback. However, you try another altcoin if you want, just like dogecoin that always have a hype, or FUN token too, but it all depends on you. Nevertheless, feel it to buy if you think it is worth it project and I think it is.
2885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Polkadot projects do you think has the best usecases? on: February 12, 2021, 09:34:43 AM
^ Polkadot projects have their own usage in the ecosystem because you can easily create a project on your own using Polkadot blockchain and it easy for them or anyone to build custom parachains and that create on their own dApps using a substrate. Nevertheless, I saw a potential and the best alternative projects for Polkadot and that is Kusama ( https://kusama.network/ ). Probably you already know this because it was created by the Polkadot co-founder Dr. Gavin Wood in 2019. But that is not financial advice, just research your own.
2886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can this BULL run last?? on: February 12, 2021, 09:18:02 AM
For this type of situation I have a suggestion, have 20% of your portfolio aside for trading, that way your 80% will be holding and you will be putting your money into things that are bit names, bitcoin and ethereum and bnb and stuff like that and hold it. For the other 20% you could trade however you want, when it grows and it becomes bigger than 20%, you keep it and keep trading, if one day your trading becomes 50% because you traded a lot and earned money, just keep it that way, but do not put money from holding coins into trading.
^ Your suggestion is good because we don't know when until this bull run ends, once you have profited, just cut it off and set aside the remaining or the original amount from the date you have to purchase your coin. All of these are very promising copins to invest in long-term, BTC, ETH, ADA, and BNB probably POLKADOT too. We are in a bull market as of now, let us grab the opportunity to take profit because anytime soon for sure there is a massive correction, but so far, nobody knows when it will pump.
2887  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling to lock in profit question... on: February 12, 2021, 09:01:03 AM
~snip~
^ That is how you are cutting your profit and there is no disadvantage about that.
If you see that your gain was there, it is up to you if you will take the profit and hold back the remaining capital, the original amount which you purchase your coin. You have different options, take your profit and reinvest or invest them at once and wait for the coin will dump and reinvest again. Nevertheless, make sure that the coin you invest in has the potential to grow again not just because of the hype.
2888  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the Hour : Tackle Joblessness on: February 11, 2021, 10:39:11 AM
^ I probably think not only in the country of US, but most countries as of now suffered outrage job opportunities and they also cant create job since pandemic was still there. However, people have different ways to solve this problem and we are very lucky enough that we are here having an extra income, but if you will say that it becomes 100% to feed your family, I think not enough, better to find another solution. Nevertheless, industrialization can produce more open jobs for jobless people but we care about avoiding social physical contact, what are those? Probably related to online business.
2889  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to tell when a trading bot is a scam on: February 11, 2021, 09:59:58 AM
I don't use bots but it's an obvious thing if they ask you to import your private keys to their bot. That's already a red flag that you shouldn't do. No app should ask that important thing to any of their users unless they're the ones that are providing it for you.
^ A private key? Who holds the private key on exchange anyway? It is through your API.
Nah, not that way, but there is a potential that automated trading software or trading bot is a scam. Just a simple question, what is the reason why they are selling this bot besides if they will truly earn from using a bot in trading. Probably the owner or creator of bots are very rich as of now, you cant buy a trading bot system as low as $30 right?
2890  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin Help The Poor on: February 08, 2021, 12:03:56 PM
I am one of those poor people who benefited and got big help from trading and holding Bitcoin and until now Bitcoin is still a big help for poor people, these people are bounty hunters and freelancers, and of course investors, Bitcoin has created thousands of jobs for people, I will be still working in a factory if I have not stumble Bitcoin, I owed a lot to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency.
I'm pretty interested on how Bitcoin did reach to you if you're that one of the below average people in the economy...
I also wonder how can you keep being online in this kind of times, as I'm well aware that if we say "poor" that means they really are helpless...
So would you mind sharing your story?
^ Actually, I have got what you mean for. People that can afford to connect to the internet and a gadget to use, they just not poor people. They belong to the middle-class people because when we are talking a poor people, that is completely helpless, homeless and most of them are uneducated people of did not computer literate. That is a true poor people and I think the term "poor" is not suitable for holding BTC. Nevertheless, I agree if OP will say that it will help to boost your financial status.
2891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which 'cryptos' do you suggest I should invest in for a duration of 3 to 5 month on: February 08, 2021, 11:37:49 AM
If you are looking for crypto for short term investments of around 3 to 5 months, I recommend choosing high volume coins. I recommend investing
in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Chainlink and Binance Coin. Of the 4 coins that I mentioned, usually the price movement is very volatile, so in the near future
it is very likely that the price will go up. The most important thing when buying these coins is to be able to analyze the market to determine the right
time to buy these coins. I have practiced it myself by investing in the four coins, which can provide a large profit in about 5 months.
^ 3-5 months is a short term investment you can't sure it will give profit within that range. In BTC investment, I will consider this for long term investment and probably the best target is 4-5 years right after the next halving will come. For short term investment, the best for this is altcoins, I saw potential on ADA and POLKADOT coin, they have hype as of now and surely it will grow the price more after a few months and probably effective on 3-5 months of waiting. Nevertheless, keep digging research and find those altcoins that usually have a hype.
2892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I earn 6000 $ IN 3 HOURS | Elon Musk THANKS YOU !!! DOGE on: February 08, 2021, 10:59:18 AM
Continuous pumping of DOGE with one person's tweets seems to me a rather strange phenomenon although it is a great way to make money. I have staggered sell orders at prices up to 2000 sat, perhaps Elon's target is there.
^ So now, can we conclude that Elon Musk is the biggest whale who hold dogecoin?
This is really strange because every time when Elon Musk makes noise in dogecoin people are investing or probably he has manipulated the price of doge on his own money. Technically, I don't have an idea on this but that is my opinion. Nevertheless, this proves that he is a very influential person if he will continue pumping on BTC, this will probably have a negative image to BTC because it follows to hype.
2893  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I'm looking for a New Trading Site on: February 08, 2021, 10:47:50 AM
Most of the Centralized Exchange except coinbase don't require KYC for a certain trading volume limit. I'm using Kucoin, Binance and Okex right now without undergoing KYC procedure. If you are just a small time trader which your trading volume didn't exceed to 1BTC. You can try them but if you are a big time trader, Decentralized Exchange is your friend but always keep in mind the expensive fee for transaction.
^ Probably it is at least 2 BTC of maximum and you did not need to require KYC verification. Most trader's recommendation is binance and I also agree with them. This is a popular exchange with having a huge number of traders that surely your order will be quickly fulfilled.
Another exchange that has the potential to avoid KYC is Bithumb global, all you need to do is verify the SMS and google verification code for the limit level and I think level 2.
2894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are there any safe and secure exchange services where i can buy new alt coins? on: February 07, 2021, 10:02:15 AM
it is alt coin season, and im new to the game and am looking to hit it big. Any sort of tip would be appreciated
^ Most traders are looking to this, they want big profit to earn and choosing the best exchange will probably hard enough for them to decide where it is. But for me, a decentralized exchange is good if you want for long term investment. But if you want a large volume of coins, I recommend using the Binance exchange which supported a lot of altcoins to choose from. Nevertheless, there is no safe exchange, most of them are vulnerable to hacks, so you must be careful of choosing the right one.
2895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Elon Musk shill for DOGE on: February 07, 2021, 09:25:49 AM
Maybe, because of a meme? I know that Elon Musk is always joking with his followers, he always makes any tweets to enliven his account. Not only DOGE, Elon Musk also always makes tweets about anime.
^ Probably that was, and he always seeking attention to his followers to gain massive fans. We know that he is a riches man and probably we own DOGEcoin in the first place and that is the reason why he wants to pump this coin. He is a businessman after he shills the doge memes doge was pump up too much and later on it drops the price the reason could be, he already gained profit on dogecoin. Nevertheless, all of this is my personal opinion.
2896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BINANCE will delist these 4 coins! Check it out! on: February 07, 2021, 08:40:36 AM
These shitcoins got pumped up before delisting! Too bad for the people who bought these coins, hoping for further growth... It will be a good lesson that you should not grab everything that grows! Wink
^ Pump and dump coins are usually prone to delisted on exchange and binance won't tolerate such fraudulent activity.
When I was reading the title of this thread, I thought XRP belongs to those coins that delisted by binance, I heard rumors that it will delist on binance.
We should be careful of what we invest in, it should be the project that has a reputation or already tested. I don't know those coins mentioned by OP and for sure that is also a shitcoin.
2897  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I get rich by trading on: February 06, 2021, 09:55:21 AM
If you're planning to be a full-time trader my advice now is don't continue what you're planning. It's possible to get rich in trading but you really don't know how the market will move. To be able to go full time you must have a fund that is enough for a couple of months separate from your trading capital, this is to avoid going into debt if things don't go well. If you get successful in trading then you can make a living from it, just separate your net profit from your trades.
^ It depends on their luck, I saw in the other thread that someone gained almost 100% profit in trading in just 1 month. There are some traders who are lucky enough that they gained profit in trading, good for them. However, wishing to get more profit and become rich is too much for me, which will lead to greediness which is not good. Because not all the time we can make a profit on trading, not all the time, there are some instances that we will fail or more worst get into debt if we can't control our ego and greediness.
2898  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long the Bitcoin Bull run continues on: February 06, 2021, 09:47:56 AM
If this bull run is anything like 2013 & 2017 then you can expect to see a $100,000-$288,000 BTC sometime between April and November of this year. It will be interesting to see where we fall in this range. Either way, we are due for some fireworks in the near future.
^ Nice to see you around predicting the market price. But I think that is too much price at this year. Probably at the range of $50k-$100k is near accurate. But of course, I am also afraid that there is a big correction like what happened in 2017, for now, let us better monitor the social media trend because sometimes it has an effect on the market price. Like Elon Musk hyping BTC price and what if there someone influential person throws negative vibes on BTC.
2899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about exchanging your bitcoin for stablecoins? on: February 06, 2021, 09:33:53 AM
Do you recommend it? Why? Why not? Which stablecoin do you recommend on Binance?
^ Definitely, you can. When I was an active trader before this is my strategy to cut my loss. It is diversification of assets when BTC price goes down and if you want to immediately cut your losses. This sounds like a playing safe in the market, you can hold the value for a while a choose stable coin and then buy back if the price will continue to go down or hold your stable coin when the BTC price continues growing up. Nevertheless, I dont have enough idea which good stable coin in binance but probably it is the same if you hold a stable coin there, like BUSD.
2900  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal cryptocurrency trading volume beyond expectations on: February 06, 2021, 09:09:26 AM
Does paypal offers some kind of protection for hacking or such though? If the user can't even withdraw their bitcoin then they should get compensated by additional security features like for example reimbursement in case hacking accident occurs right?  since to be frank there are so many cases out there about paypal hacking
^ Probably there is, paypal is reputable enough and for sure there is a protection in every user had. If you worried about hacking or even data breaches or glitches, that is everywhere and it depends on their team how to fix it and take action when there is a bug that happens. Nevertheless, this is expected since paypal has a huge number of users, probably this is also the reason BTC price has been rapidly growing up and maintain on  $30k range price in the market. It has brought awareness to most people.
