2901  Other / Meta / Re: Is Sig Spamming related to the grade of stupidity of the answers at Bitcointalk? on: August 25, 2017, 09:23:41 AM
@Theymos: The problem is not created by the sig spammers, but the system allowing it. There might be a point where Bitcointalk will be rejected by the users, when you can't find the information you are looking for, because it's hidden in a flood of trash.

Exactly, but you're wasting your time with this unfortunately. This has been brought up numerous times and various ways to combat it have been proposed and all ignored. The forum degenerated into a place for people from developing nations who can barely speak English to earn a bit of cash a long time ago and it gets worse daily.

I strongly think it is and obv. this lowers the overall quality of this forum as a source for useful information. As soon as a newbie asks a question, sig spammers start crowding the topic with their 99% sensless/false/bs answers. Some (most?) of them didn't even understand the topic!

that is why there a people called 'Managers' in Sig campaigns, they kick people in the butt when someone spamming a discussion, and all but a trash statements

99% of crapcoin campaigns don't have any one managing their campaign at all. They accept hundreds of users and pay them for whatever they can be bothered to churn out (or copy and paste). A fair few of the current bitcoin campaign managers aren't doing a good enough job either or taking on too much work.

and by the way, there is an IGNORE Button that is somewhat useful.

Do you really expect people to ignore 99% of the forum? These shitposters shouldn't be here in the first place and wouldn't be if campaign managers would do their job properly.

I don't know what your account is or what it was banned for but if it was just locked due to inactivity I can unlock it providing you can prove that it's yours.
2904  Other / Meta / Re: Can hilariousandco see PMs? on: August 19, 2017, 08:39:14 AM
I think he's asking if I have admin access to read other's private messages,  which in that case would be no.
2905  Other / Meta / Re: Help recovering old account on: August 16, 2017, 05:17:27 PM
Contact an admin. I can't do anything unless it's a locked account that just needs the ban removing and even then you would have to prove the account is yours with a signed message which would be difficult seeing as you don't even know the name of the account.
2906  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League Betting Pool | Current potential pot: £525 on: August 14, 2017, 09:26:01 AM
Table has finally updated:

Looks like hahay either didn't submit his scores properly or changed them and they all lost (less likely).

Fixtures for this week:

Swansea City v Man United
Southampton v West Ham
Bournemouth v Watford
Liverpool v Crystal Palace
Leicester City v Brighton
Burnley FC v West Brom
Stoke City v Arsenal
Huddersfield v Newcastle
Tottenham v Chelsea
Man. City v Everton
2907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting Discussion Thread on: August 11, 2017, 10:43:53 AM
All have paid so far apart from:

BetAdviser
icanscript
BillCoin

Two users still need to join the BBC league.

First game is tonight so there's still chance to send in 0.01 if you want to join. I'll allow people to join in after the start of the season providing they pay 0.01 but you will obviously be at a disadvantage the more rounds you miss.
2908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting Discussion Thread on: August 10, 2017, 05:40:51 AM
I see only 11 names in teh BBC predictor website.  Do they know that it's mandatory that they sign up there?  They might be thinking it's not and the Games and Rounds thread is the one to be in.

I'll share my picks later, only if I can copy paste them easy.  I'm too lazy right now.  Grin

I'll pm the others shortly.
2909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 09, 2017, 06:31:05 PM
Premier league is about to begin.  Man Utd made some expensive deals in this summer.  But the main question is - Will Zlatan continue another season in this team? And will he make the imposible and win the championship with with them like he did with ALL the teams he played before

I don't think Zlatan is under contract with Man Utd right now. He had a one year contract & got that serious injury, Man Utd didn't offer him a new contract.

He isn't but he hinted a while back he could return if he was fit enough but I'm not sure he'd want to now they have Lukaku etc. Mourinho said recently that it's still a possibility though:
http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/ibrahimovic-to-make-man-utd-return-mourinho-admits-striker/7a1bayzthgy51cgt0gfuhygks

If anyone is wanting to participate in a Premier League betting pool I've set up please see the following thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2076240.msg20745851#msg20745851

Would be sweet to get some more players in before the start of the season. 0.01 buy in and a pot of currently 0.15 that should rise to 0.2 if everyone pays in.
2910  Other / Meta / Re: Weird posting behevior on certain new accounts on: August 09, 2017, 05:26:27 PM
Nuked them. They're probably not bots but just trying to farm/rank up their accounts so they can join a signature campaign.
2911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting | Current pot: £420 - £20 buy-in on: August 09, 2017, 05:04:12 PM
I've created the thread in Games and Rounds here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2076240.msg20745851#msg20745851

Please follow the instructions in the op and only post your predictions (and/or results at the end of the week) there, though this is not mandatory now we're using the BBC predictor but you can share them if you wish. This thread will be used to discuss peoples results etc throughout the season if anyone wants to participate in that as well.
2912  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League Betting Pool | Current potential pot: £525 on: August 09, 2017, 05:00:22 PM

2913  Economy / Games and rounds / Bitcointalk English Premier League Betting Pool | Current pot: 0.2btc on: August 09, 2017, 04:59:57 PM
This thread is only for people who have paid to participate. If you have not paid do not post in here. If you want to join in please read how to below.

The new English Premier League season will start on Friday the 11th of August 2017 and I've decided to organise a betting pool on the weekly results. The competition is similar to Skybet's SuperSix where you will get points for predicting the correct score and/or outcome but over all the games played that week and points will be counted and tallied up throughout the season. The person with the most points at the end of the season will win the pot but there will be second and third consolation prizes.

It will cost 0.01BTC to enter and currently the prize money will be around (in BTC equivalent):

£400 1st place
£80 2nd place
£20 3rd place

But this may change depending on how many people sign up. Currently we have 21 users who have pledged 0.01BTC but hopefully we can get a few more before Friday.

If you wish to join in at any time during the season you can do so by sending 0.01BTC to the following address and PM me with the txid: 1NpyfbUeiEMtdCqqBwWNPMSmHLPLLynqfU

If any anonymous (or not so anonymous) donor wants to spice things up for us by adding money into the pot I'm sure that will be greatly appreciated by all  Grin.

How to play: At the beginning of every week I will post the fixtures in advance and you just need to predict what you think the exact score will be of all the games played. You will get 40 points for a correct/exact score and 10 points for a correct outcome.

Example:

If you picked:

Arsenal v Leicester 0-1
Burnley v Swansea 0-0
Crystal Palace v West Brom 1-1

And the actual results are:

Arsenal v Leicester 2-1 Loss: 0 points
Burnley v Swansea 0-0 Win: 40 points
Crystal Palace v West Brom 2-2 Win: 10 points

You would get 50 points from those three selections. The winner would obviously be the person who gets the most points at the end of the season.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/predictor

We will be using the BBC's Premier League Predictor where you can input your predictions right up until kick off. Nobody else can see your picks put everyone can see the leader board. However, if you wish to post your choices in here you can do. Here's how the BBC Predictor works: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36230678

EPL fixtures: https://www.premierleague.com/fixtures

Local rule: To keep this thread clean please only post your predictions in here. Every week I will post the weeks fixtures in here and you can quote them with your choices. At the end of the week after all the games have been played you can also  quote your post with your total points if you wish to do so. If you wish to discuss people's results and picks along the season you can do so in the original discussion thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1931295.0

Only users who have paid the 0.01BTC to play will be allowed to post in either threads and those who haven't paid will have their posts removed.

Six people paid so far. Thanks.

This is the thread I'm going to post in Games and Rounds shortly. Does anyone have any issues with it or is there anything else that should be clarified:

Please format your predictions as above and do not edit your results once they have been posted. Picks must be in before the start of the first game of that week but if you're late I will allow you to predict for the rest of the games that haven't started. I would prefer to keep the picks public but if anyone wants to PM me them to avoid others copying their results you can do so at any time during the season and I will post them for you at the end of the week and then you can confirm them.

Please send 0.01 to the above address. I'll add it to the OP and PM everyone with it shortly.

^ That would really suck.  It's already good the way hilarious has set the prizes up.  But if it were up to me, I'd make it winner take all.

That would make the game more interesting.

Yeah, I don't want there to be too many prizes because it just takes money away from the other winners, though I get people want to at least try win something. I'll definitely be paying three places out but I'll see how many users actually end up paying in for any more. Some people who pledged may not and we may get a few more players before the start of the season or some may join in after it starts which I'm ok with as long as they pay the same 0.01 everyone else has. I'll create a thread in Games and Rounds asap and we can leave this thread open for discussion.

Who asked you to file an appeal? On the ban message? You can file an appeal if you wish but it likely wont be granted. I'm not sure if theymos even reads those mails because he probably gets dozens of them a day.
