Please follow the instructions in the op and only post your predictions (and/or results at the end of the week) there, though this is not mandatory now we're using the BBC predictor but you can share them if you wish. This thread will be used to discuss peoples results etc throughout the season if anyone wants to participate in that as well.

I see only 11 names in teh BBC predictor website.  Do they know that it's mandatory that they sign up there?  They might be thinking it's not and the Games and Rounds thread is the one to be in.

First game is tonight so there's still chance to send in 0.01 if you want to join. I'll allow people to join in after the start of the season providing they pay 0.01 but you will obviously be at a disadvantage the more rounds you miss.

All 19 people who have paid are now on the BBC predictor and the league is officially underway now with Arsenal Vs Leicester being 1-1 after ten mins (so we could still see some correctly predicted scores).

If people still want to play you can and you'll only be at a one game disadvantage until tomorrow. Pot is at 0.19 unless anyone else joins.

I too believe in rigged games as they do exist but surely not in the opening premier game of the Premier League. It was an awesome game from Arsenal and Leicester and we all which are taking part in the pool betting prediction have won 10 points each but none has won 40 points as no one predicted the exact score. It is going to be a fun competition.

C'mon guys, don't talk nonsense about games being rigged just because a result didn't go the way you expected it.

Another person has paid so the total pot is now 0.2. If anyone else is thinking about joining then it would be advisable to do it before the 3PM kick-offs today. As it stands you will only be at most ten points behind the people who picked Arsenal to win because I don't think anyone would have predicted the 4-3 score so there's not much of a disadvantage currently but there will be a huge one after all the 3PM kick offs which will obviously only get bigger the more weeks that go by.

I think we might have to wait until all the weeks games have been played or maybe it'll update later today or tomorrow. Will be interesting to see but I don't think many of us will have got many points because of all the shock results.

What don't you understand? It's a betting pool where everyone puts in 0.01 bitcoin and predicts the scores/outcomes of all the Premier League games.

Alright. But another thing which is going to be a problem with BBC(despite being an excellent site to track predictions) is the points.
On this thread, we decided on 5 points for the correct result, and 10 points on the correct score.

BBC has that ratio at 4x, giving out 40 points for the score and 10 for the winner.

If you see the op of the other thread I changed it before. No point using a different scoring system to the BBC. We'll just go by the points table there. I'll change this one later.

Hi buddy ,since i am playing the BBC predictor for the first time,i am not sure how things work exactly,i did have 110 points with two exact scores and three correct results,but when i checked our group those points are not seen,just to see how the overall prediction with all the members stack up and in what position i am in.

My bad i was looking at the replies from your main account ,so is the reason i missed your comment in this profile. Either way i am having fun with the predictions,hope the lucky charm continues.

Good for you. Not counting the two games today I only have 70 points so far with 1 correct score and 3 correct outcomes. I feel like i'll be at the mid -bottom part of the leaderboard after round 1 ends.

I see points are updated at the  Results tab. So far I think I am in the low bottom with only 2 games predicted right and one exact score right , 60 points in total. This tournament will see a lot of change of positions from the top of the standings to the bottom as the weeks passes by.

In fact I should have 70 points because
Everton won 10 points

Man city won and with correct score should be 10+40

I'm also on 70 total. I wouldn't worry about not getting many correct results as things will change drastically throughout the season. A couple of correct scores next week will put anyone straight to the top most likely.

I think you only get 40 points total for the correct score but we'll see soon enough.

That is correct, 40 points for correct score and 10 points for correct outcome.

Unfortunately we wont see each others predictions, only overall result.

People can post their results in here if others can't see them (and if they want to).  I got 80 points total. I'm sure there's a couple of users with over 100. I'll post a screenshot of the table once it's updated.

Pretty average result for me.  Got 60 points but I'm happy.  I hope the leaderboard gets updated soon, I wanna see who's leading.  

Some of the games were crazy tho, weren't they?  Good set of games for the season opener.
