Bitshares is a good project, stamp of approval here.
2902  Other / Off-topic / Re: In response to Spoetnik's GET OUT thread on: November 07, 2014, 04:38:22 PM
Most of the people that dislike Spoetnik are inexperienced and can't take a little criticism without blowing a gasket. If you've been around a while then you would see he is right the majority of the time.

Don't know why you hate on Spoetnik and get all bent out of shape over the stuff he says. Bunch of Sandy Vaginas around here.
2905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Colossal Question? Who wants to help rebuild ColossusCoin? on: November 07, 2014, 04:30:58 AM
I have updated the OP. Will be away Nov 10-20, my Internet is currently down and not sure if it will be fixed before then. I have added 350k Multiwalletcoin to the Dev fund and have another 150k to add along with some MaryJaneCoin provided by Fire Rabbit.

A new trend is coming in the Altcoin scene, why make a new Coin when you can build equity onto an existing coin?

lol why would you build equity onto an coin, where most coins are already divided among people that dont really much care of it, since they put it into situation as it is?

If you are building a new coin onto an existing structure, you gain the benefits of distribution and all essential social networks.
2908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Colossal Question? Who wants to help rebuild ColossusCoin? on: November 06, 2014, 01:20:52 PM
Ok so lets get some ideas down.

I have done a fair bit of research and testing and I firmly believe that working with the entire float is the way to go. How would it be beneficial?

I would first start with the following specs

POS only

19 Billion Float
7-21 day max weight
2 minute block time
50 coin minimum fee
5% per year

The advantage here is that it limits the coins available to Stake to 10k Blocks which create an average block to Stake at 1.9 million. The average amount of Stake participation within coins such as PeerCoin/NXT etc. is a maximum of 60% so the maximum Block size would be around 250k. First and foremost is all holders who have their coins in their wallets and don't have the option to trade. For all those people, they would receive an advantage as they would receive coins from inflation rewards, plus all the fees from distribution. As all fees go into Staking, we can wind down the entire amount held to a manageable amount through distribution of fees. The easiest way to do this is through settxfee in which a set fee is included into each block, thereby increasing the reward for each block found. We could do this as part of a promotional effort so that it increases the incentive to Stake, spread out your Blocks and create better security for the network.

 Roll Eyes

Jog on troll! No billy goats on the bridge for you today.

Yes and thats the way this scam played out (you know its been done more then a few times here already?), make you seem or innocent and such, oh but I paid back any investor that wanted their funds back  Roll Eyes, but it wasn't those investors you where scamming now was it (well atleast not yet)? but a scam none the less.

Those you really stole from don't know it....well yet  Huh

You're little vaporware cult group maybe believes your bullshit, many other see right through it, most just cbf calling you out on it.

*YAWN*  Make sure you have your apology ready for the new year, as soon after I'll be calling you out on it.

Oh wait, you'll be one of those guys that are too yellow to actually have some decency and respect to offer an apology when you are proven wrong, and will probably instead decide to go and slump in the shadows and pretend you never said anything....

Its guys like you that have turned decent, smart people away from this site...all mouth and opinion, but never produce anything, even if it failed, it wouldn't matter, at least you tried.  But no, much easier to sit there fapping away calling everyone else out.....sad.

How in any single word is your reply anything to do with defending the FACT that you stole your own bitcoins? Classic change the topic and spin it on the messenger.

I think it's past your bedtime, you're having trouble thinking....if I stole my own BTC, they wouldn't be stolen would they!  Roll Eyes

You tell me how on earth I prove I don't have something in my possession and I'll gladly do it.  But as far as I'm aware, that is impossible to do.

Maybe we should add to this list the ability to handle conflict resolution effectively, you got lured in by the trolls with your Emunie project pretty easily until something that wasn't a big deal, became a big deal to people. I know you are on the up and up, drama follows you though.
2910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Colossal Question? Who wants to help rebuild ColossusCoin? on: November 05, 2014, 03:12:21 PM

Why can't Col simply be forked to a working POS coin? Anyone who currently has cols would just use their current wallet.dat with the new wallet.

I don't know how many coins Cryptsy owns that are unaccounted for, I and many others have had coins disappear on their market and I'm not comfortable with Cryptsy owning 30-40% of the Coins right off the bat since most people never withdraw their coins to Stake. Also there needs to be a funding measure, IMO a hardfork would take away that option, plus it's better to start with a fresh Blockchain instead of 750mb Blockchain as it would be more efficient over time.
2911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Colossuscoin- 1.5.2 BIG, STRONG, and FRIENDLY [MANDATORY UPDATE] on: November 05, 2014, 02:51:55 PM
Hi Crestington! How are you. Are there any news or plans for the future COL?

Yes, I have recently been looking for some help with coding for Col 2.0 along with gathering of support and donations in order to help create the final product. It's difficult teaching yourself how to code but I can do all sorts of stuff now such as compiling in windows and linux, nodes and servers, check-pointing, crosschecking and pushing code to Github. That is simply not enough though and need some help from someone more experienced than I am to make sure I am not making mistakes and help with improvements.

Earlier this year I paid for some help from old c coder for a total of 0.5-0.6 BTC in which he helped compile a couple wallets for me, gave me links to a few of his windows compiling guides, and a few lessons on the pitfalls of magic numbers.

I also had a POS only Blockchain built for me for 1 BTC by E-Exchangers but the coin control needed work so when we were going to do it, he ended up being hospitalized and lost the 0.5 BTC upfront payment (maybe scam? I don't know for sure).

I also have a few different sets of favorite coins I will be adding as a small basket of assets for the Development Fund but more want to use escrow for that instead of holding it myself. Right now I think Sudo is best to hold onto the Coins for me and if anything it will help him with the costs of hosting the websites.

Today is also my 30th Birthday and I will be away from Nov 10th-20th as I am heading to Las Vegas so I will be available only periodically during this time, so will try to get as much done as I can before then.

What do you have for some ideas for Col2.0?

I have created several threads in order to help show all the progress, the main thread is our Master-thread on the forums http://www.colossuscointalk.org/index.php?topic=545.75

and a thread for gathering interest in the project in the alt-coin section of BitcoinTalk

2912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Altcoin King on: November 05, 2014, 11:20:33 AM
Spoetniks totally owning this poll
I don't know about being the Altcoin King but Spoetnik does work at the Burger King in Kelowna, does this count?

No better place to live, was better when I was a kid cause they had flintstones park, wild waters and the roller rink (bulldozed for a cineplex), Wild and wet, miniput, and old mcdonalds farm (bulldozed for condos), butterfly world (bulldozed) but atleast Scandia is still there and I think they recently finished a giant wave pool where you could go surfing. Maybe it would be better to swim in the lake in the summer or snowboard at Big White/Silverstar in the winter and build snowmen. If you are ever in the area you should definitely try the Icewine, they pick the grapes just after the first frost and juice them while they are still frozen so it captures more of the sugars.

You live in a nice place Spoetnik

2913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Adderall POW/POS on: November 04, 2014, 09:41:09 PM
This Coin isn't feasible in its current state, such low transaction fees, easy to ddos
2914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Adderall POW/POS on: November 04, 2014, 08:27:55 PM
Github 404 now, wallet appears. Avoid to download wallet.

Just a missing "d" in the url. here is is: https://github.com/AdderallDev/Adderall

What do you suppose the chance is that there is a mistake in the code?
2915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Altcoin King on: November 04, 2014, 07:51:20 PM
I think Bob's lost a little support there but then again, aren't we allowed to change our minds?

The only one who has changed their mind is Spoetnik. He put his name where my name was and mine where his was...lol

:p

lol what a joke.... he has completely killed any shred of credibility he had left... thats just sad bro...

If anything, it points out that if you want a poll that it shouldn't be baised lol. Bob gets a bunch of his alt accounts to vote for him and Spoetnik changes it around on him.
2916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Colossal Question? Who wants to help rebuild ColossusCoin? on: November 04, 2014, 07:38:26 PM
How functional is ColossusCoin? Can coins be sent/received?

If so, then it is possible to create a service that allows you to trade one coin for another. In this case, the old COL for the new coin. To resolve the issue of float, you can change the cap on the new coin, and send the user the % equivalent of the new coin, like for like.

So user A owns 0.0014% of COL cap. He sends those coins to the service, and receives 0.0014% of the new COL coin cap.

If you wanted to tweak it further by reducing/increasing the overall share, then you just add/remove a percentage multiplier to the percentage. So you could double their total share of all COL, or half it, for example.

This makes it entirely scalable and workable with any coin cap, and each user will get the same percentage share even if the cap of the new coin is much lower.

I'm not fully confident that it can be traded like that as of yet. Sudo and I have done tests over the last few months sending transactions and have seen instances where Col Coins were sent but not received. Zackclark70 was nice enough to put me in contact with the guy that did the swap service for ADT and he said he would do it for the same price as he charged Zack which was 3k USD but that was back in February/March and more expensive than it needs to be.

The cheapest option would probably be to use escrow, I'm pretty sure a few good escrow I have met would do it for some of the finished product where you send in your wallet.dat and it gets destroyed and in return you get an agreed upon amount of of new coins to the new wallet.

It would be good to first offer a Cryptocurrency in which offers an advantage to all holders and trade that for present ColossusCoins which are not being traded alongside other fiat currencies (all coins which are in peoples wallets off the exchanges). Once complete, we can decide how to handle the Coins on Cryptsy, the best option in my mind would be to have some kind of vote on the percentage to swap it over for or what kind of trade so that it becomes a choice but is beneficial for both sides since you have immediate and large distribution.

The step I am working on is first making sure the new structure is as well designed as possible so that it creates the very minimum amount of Bloat over time and fast connection/sync speed so that you can always connect a full node 1, 2, 5, 10 years down the line. I am very much a fan of Tranz work on HoboNickels, his design on the GUI is top notch and faster than BlackCoin. I would want to blend some of the elements of each into a Proof of Stake only environment with an easy to use layout of the wallet (as pictured earlier, based on WhiteCoin).

Anyone willing to do a pink/Mwc swap at 2-1 off market let me know...tired of pink losing steam every time I buy in at the low...plus I want 1M MWC

I have 400k for sale on Bittrex @ 298 only large order on there and I would hold on to it but I'm going to Vegas next week for my 30th Birthday so I would prefer the extra cash.

I could swap 800k pink for that...might only translate to 0.4-0.5BTC in the pink market but I don;t know how likely you'd be avle to move any large amount of MWC right now.  Unless you want to do a 1-1 swap and then just buy back the MWC later as I have no intention of dumping my holdings.  Thsi pink is really doing me no good and I only bought it cheap to flip but the price hasnt moved at all so its collecting dust at the moment

I'm not really worried, if it doesn't sell before I go I'll just remove my order but I wouldn't go any lower than that.

no worries, thats why I wanted to offer the 1-1 option so it didnt look like a loan shark deal.  the offer still stands if you want to trade and buy it back later, although if youre planning on taking the money to vegas...might be a gamble on top of a gamble!

Yeah I don't do loans or buyback stuff, wouldn't mind being able to buy some later on though, I just can't expect to buy back when I have rent and bills as well.

For those of you who are fairly new around here, Colossuscointalk recently celebrated it's 1 year anniversary. I would like to thank Sudo23 who has managed the webite and forums over the last year as well as helped bring many changes to the look and functionality to both colossuscoin.org and colossuscointalk.org. In February/March of this year, Sudo23 and Heat007 did a full overhaul of the look of the main website and the forums, and I helped with organizing layout, categorizing the forums and permissions for all members. Gone are the days of dreary Black and Orange and hello to bright, cheery and functional.

My strong point is in forum management and conflict resolution and will continue to pursue this so help us create something truly Epic.

Hi Josh, What would you charge as a checkover of code and minor bug fixing? Specifically in the change of destruction of fees to addition of fees and block signing in Proof of Stake?
