2901  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2019, 05:01:25 PM
The Big Black Block, or BBB, is a mythical hammer made from rare Seychelles Vibranium. The handle, girthy and thick, is ribbed for maximum grip and the wielder’s pleasure. The head, strong and black, wields monstrous and unimaginable power. The hammer was forged from the volcanic dumpster fire of Mt. Gox by the African God of Scam, Ian Balina, during the ICO Age.

“Ar-Thor,” as he is called when wielding the black hammer, swung his BBB with great might and power onto the “SHORTS REKT” button. He then swung it over his shoulder and used the weight of gravity to hammer it right down onto the “LONGS REKT” button. Back and forth he went, again and again, pounding down both the buttons and maniacally laughing while ecstatically moaning “Oh God the volatility.”
2902  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: June 12, 2019, 04:52:23 PM
1/ So where did #CraigWright aka #Faketoshi go wrong? Craig Wright was in debt for millions, Hotwire PE was going down the tubes. So in 2013 he decided to shop himself as Satoshi Nakamoto to lure in investors. He had some papers, patents in the making and other IP and himself!

2/ Craig had the idea to start a Bitcoin bank and exchange, he knew there would be big money to be made. Craig thinks big, he has the skills and capability to create and deliver. But his achilles heal is his penchant for exaggerating, lying and rubbing people up the wrong way.

3/ Craig hooked a millionaire investor from Canada! But to cement the deal he needed to be a little creative. Cause a little bit of a stir in the media. Craig got together some of his documents, altered some emails and online blogs to suggest he was Satoshi..and doxed himself.

4/ He got the pledge for millions and McGregor did a deal with the ATO, paid them off. Craig got a plush office in London and a research team. Basically a recreation of Hotwire. But the deal entailed Craig coming out and declaring in pubic he was Satoshi. #InTheDeepEnd

5/ This was problematic because although Craig thought Hal was Satoshi, he couldn't be 100% sure. So Craig was VERY hesitant to come out publically, it may put him into some very hot water. And if the real Satoshi came out his deal with nTrust and Calvin would dissolve. #Anxiety

6/ Over time we have seen Craig become more and more comfortable stating he is Satoshi, I think the lack of response from the real Satoshi gave him confidence to continue, it mean't the real Satoshi had passed away
#SillyMan

7/ Now he has been caught out lying, tending fake documents to the court in Florida and everything else. He is getting very nervous. He has been ordered by the judge to attend court in Florida in a weeks time. He is resisting, he knows it could end very badly. #WebOfLies

8/ Craig was too ambitious, too greedy and lied too much. All of which had repercussions. Hotwire was mismanaged, it imploded after 6months. His Ausindustry rebate apps were denied, the ATO investigated. He was fined. His lies about being Satoshi to gain funding ..well thats next

9/ I like to point out this is just my opinion. It is however based upon facts collected from multiple sources,   probability and a little assumption. Key takeaway: Craig lied about being Satoshi to gain funding and has done his best to cover his tracks. #JudgementDayLooms

Whose work is that?

That's right, Bitcoin SV has started deleting "troll" posts from his thread. There I tried to give him fair warning that plagiarising eg coinmarketcap is frowned upon. He also posts 2,3,4 times in a row which is against school rules. original plagiarising post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4985868.msg51409997#msg51409997

also deleted, my insightful commentary re some list of SV-tards

That list is not very impressive. Imagine the list ETH could produce, and even you morons know ETH is a blatant scam.
Just because lots of idiots are running around doing things, that doesn't make them worthwhile.
This does apply to 'core' too, lots of waste; but at least some of them have some technical nous.

In other vacuous perverts news, the British Government.
The government would welcome views on whether the publication of open-source software should be subject to CDD [Customer Due Diligence] requirements. If so, under which circumstances should these activities be subject to these requirements? If so, in what circumstances should the legislation deem software users be deemed a customer, or to be entering into a business relationship, with the publisher?

2912  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Statechains: a new Layer 2 protocol. on: June 11, 2019, 08:48:05 PM
Statechains have come back to the realm of dicussion.
After Lightning, Liquid sidechain and Risk sidechain, a new Layer 2 protocol is proposed.

Quote
In short, Statechains are novel in the sense that they allow you to change UTXO ownership off-chain, while preserving a large degree of censorship resistance due to the ability to withdraw on-chain. It is non-custodial, which naturally reduces risk and makes it easier for the Statechain entity from a regulatory point of view. The end result is a unique layer two protocol with its own distinct strengths and weaknesses

https://youtu.be/ncpjRsHHUiA?t=5900 @shinobi and @nopara commentary
My summary of that, but please correct me where I am wrong.
-requires schnorr sigs and eltoo, also sighash anyprevout, which may take some time
-adds liquidity to lightning without opening channels from mainchain
-could interact with lightning to split up the locked utxo, and/or remove the federation
-could also use blinded sigs, adding a layer of privacy

I find it absolutely intriguing and full of possibilities for the current direction of bitcoin here.
Do you like the sound of it and are there any major downsides?

Egging on the Future, 2018, Acrylics and Golden leafs on Canvas, 25,6 x 21,7" (65 x 55cm)

This time I'm representing Mr. Andreas Antonopoulos. Backdrop is a remake of an old futuristic distopic landscape.

To contrast his focused and unyielding stare is his crazy shirt with the egg pattern (with yolk looking like shining coins), which makes half of the title. The other half is of course his constant effort to push and promote Bitcoin.

The details below show how the Golden leafs do their 23 karat job.

The painting is framed as seen below and available for purchase.

really quite like this

Congrats mindtrust, fillippone, V8's and micgoossens! *nice story snipped*

thx both, congrats to those, thx to my trustees.

Sometimes it's easier to raise an issue like this here, rather than cause drama and fuss on meta.

But in principle, I'd bet that most WObservers dgaf about DT stuff, and don't want it here.

Anyone is welcome to pm me though about all that jazz, because frankly it's far from perfect, or in fact any other stuff.
