The more other currencies stick to their dependencies like 3rd party trust, the more people will move into BTC in the future.
Facebooks 1984 coin will be the example par excellence.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Geeze it's 8:30AM. What's happening to me? I used to be an "up at the crack of noon" kind of guy. Now I'm keeping farmers' hours. It's the GF's fault. She drags me off to bed earlier and wakes me up earlier every day.

I see we've fired another volley in the Great Siege of $4k... currently $8005USD/$10625CAD. The battle rages on.

Go Bitcoin go.

Since we are on old humor mood:
FIAT stands for Fix It Again Tony.

Fix Or Repair Daily?

Found on Road Dead?

Classic WO reaction to the bitsptamp ddos at the head and sholders neckline.

To the extent that there is some factual reality to a bitstamp ddos, which remains news to me (likely a FUD spreading attempt since it is coming from you):  you are coming off as a bit desperate in your attempted cave allegory readings of the bitcoin price dynamics, but I suppose you are not appearing any worse desperate than you were a few weeks ago...

I will concede that there is still some hope that your ongoing negative balance $6k BTC sell orders might be profitably redeemable in the future (absent the opportunity costs of your dumbass having had sold too much too soon).

I would applaud your opportunity for having had learned a lesson, but through your persistently stubborn posts, you have already sufficiently demonstrated that you don't lurn much too easily.   Tongue  So, in that regard, it remains difficult to feel sorry for you, too.   Cry

Good thing is I could of go with but I have some stuff of my own to do Roll Eyes So nice as he is, my GF can take a (female)friend of hers on his expenses...
Good he's a true good friend of me and I have many people I know there, otherwise I almost have to become jealous (meh, i'm not the most jealous one and I know me GF pretty good ....), though she needed to come cause he will have some crypto related stuff I think besides of poker there...

Some of you guys in Vegas during the Series??

Which Hotel did you say that was? Cheesy

I've seen every iteration/version of that vid like a million times and still to this day, I lmfao every time I click on it...thanx bro!

Funny bit is how dated it is: 5000btc for a "million dollar pizza"? Off by a factor of 40....

Here's an oldie but goodie Smiley

I'm pretty sure it was Risto, which makes it even funnier! Cheesy

You guys are wasting your time with that LeRoux crap

Yeah, but not as much time as scrolling past JJG's screeds.

hahahahahahahahaha

Whoa za!!!!!

Look at the haters.

Your lil scrolling finger must really be hurting.  pobrecito.   Cry

I literally got 2 shots because of it last October! True fact. Smiley

Both inside fingers, really sucked riding the bike when you need 2 hands to grab the brake! I scroll with my pinky alot now. Cheesy

One of the reasons that I put that crying icon in my earlier post.  Because I feel a lot of sympathy.   Cry Cry  Cry Cry  Lots.

Can you still do this?

I don't share the author's optimism that it would be good for bitcoin.
Neutral at best, in my opinion.
In addition, it could cause economic instability and will be most likely banned in a many countries, like China, India, Russia, etc.

100 Bitcoin Users Perform What Might Be Largest ‘CoinJoin’ Transaction Ever

Quote
The community behind the privacy-centric bitcoin app Wasabi Wallet recently brought together 100 people to collectively execute a “CoinJoin” transaction on bitcoin in what might be the biggest event of its kind.

Some context: bitcoin itself is far from private, as users can, via the blockchain, see where coins are being transferred to and from. One effort to afford greater privacy to transactions is CoinJoin, a long-standing technology first proposed in 2013 by long-time bitcoin idea man and cryptographer Greg Maxwell. The idea is that transactions can be made more private by jumbling a number of different transactions together and then redistributing them.

Good morning WO,s

This is not a very “new” news, but it’s terribly important!
Fungibility is now one of the biggest problem in bitcoin. If bitcoin can be “marked down” because of say, they come from a suspicious activity, theft, an activity deemed as censourable by an arbitrary counterpart or anything else, different prices for different UTXO can coexist. This is very bad quality for a coin that aims at being used as world settlement currency.
Simply put: privacy is really important and not accessible, until coinjoins, to users.

This is one of the most important news in bitcoin lately.

Perhaps you may find a mirror to be of some use, JJG. The only denigrating I see is coming from you.

Can you 'splained ur selfie?

Yeah. I 'splain myself. You have been nothing but rude to joiniv, attacking him/her as if your bullish sentiment is somehow morally superior to his/her bearish outlook.

I'm as bullish as the next guy. I don't agree with joiniv's outlook. But I see no call for your rudeness (IOW, denigration). And to accuse joiniv of being denigrating is beyond the pale. As you are constantly the one escalating the hostilities.

yup, re-jiggering, he did warn

A conspiracy theory not of my own is that if our benevolent overlord does make some re-jiggerings then they will likely have the end result of adding Og back to the list. We'll have to see how that plays out.

Edit: spoke too soon. He is back on but that's thanks to the addition of a buttload new members. Congrats mindtrust, fillippone, V8's and micgoossens!

Good afternoon WOs. Been going to bed later and waking up later. I can miss the mornings entirely when there's no construction going on in the new building next door.

My girlfriend had what turned out to be an ant trapped in her ear. And it was one of the bitey ants. We tried to drown it with olive oil like the internet says, but that only made it mad. So she insisted we go to the hospital, which was a waste of money as the doctor couldn't get it out. Try not to go to a hospital in the Philippines if you have the option.

The thing eventually died about 24 hours later, but only after it had bitten the shit out of her ear. She had bleeding and temporary hearing loss... All is good now though. Just thought I would share that fun story with you.

for foreign objects in the ear, an ear nose and throat doctor is the go to solution (they have the tools and expertise to not damage the eardrum). and bugs in the ear are a priority appointment, call and tell them they will get you in that day. im surprised the ED didnt refer you to one.

source: i worked at an ENT practice. caller with bug in ear? come on down now. we got bugs in the ear all the time. although children putting the most surprising things in their nose was the most common. kids putting batteries in their nose was the worse (corrosive if they leaked). if we couldnt get it out in the office a surgery was scheduled that day. mainly for anesthesia, no cutting was involved. but the tools had to do pretty far up, its amazing how big the sinuses are.

Congrats mindtrust, fillippone, V8's and micgoossens! *nice story snipped*

thx both, congrats to those, thx to my trustees.

Sometimes it's easier to raise an issue like this here, rather than cause drama and fuss on meta.

But in principle, I'd bet that most WObservers dgaf about DT stuff, and don't want it here.

Anyone is welcome to pm me though about all that jazz, because frankly it's far from perfect, or in fact any other stuff.
