2901  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hackers steal $8 million from users running trojanized BitKeep apps on: January 02, 2023, 03:41:02 PM
BitKeep is being unfair to its users, how the hell do the come to a conclusion that it's users were using third party apps which could be the source of the problem Huh And with these findings they are saying all affected users could actually be Android users and all don't know how to use the playstore which by the way could have warned users if an app was not genuine had they downloaded the so called third-party apps thanks to play protect.... These guys better give a better reason if this isn't an inside job Roll Eyes
2902  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many signals don't work now like they use to be on: January 02, 2023, 01:40:49 PM
Any good signals ?
Right now many signals don't work how they use to be
Signals might look like they are legit in that instance but long term might not be as good as you have said because they are as good as the provider themselves, btw around this time volume is low and would advice to stay away till markets are in full swing.

Yesrterday shiba signal long was given out from the trading signals channels still not moving.

I understood If there is no pmp but dont have Even the dmps what's going on ?

Traders going mad now depresion is here.
No need to be depressed, as a matter of fact Entry time frames also play a role, if signal provider was entering on the 4hour and you are looking at the 5minute chart then market reactions will be totally different...

And just to give yourself some peace of mind try to trade on your own terms and not relying on other people's signals.

The question is Will we stay in crypto If it's not working ?
Unlikely we stay.
Believe it or not when markets are bullish or not someone out there is  making money off them which says it all that crypto is here to stay.
2903  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to know when money start flowing into crypto, any tools? on: January 02, 2023, 12:17:30 PM
Do you think this makes any sense ?

I plan to start buying crypto when new money keeps flowing back into the market, can this be done? Have you ever done such before? Please share me your strategy.
They say the trend is your friend and I get what you are trying to do here which is a smart move btw to ride the trend, but this strategy could some how be a late entry on your side as this is as good as getting signals from volume profile indicators, EMA's and moving averages crossing... I would suggest you go the smart money way of trading and look out for order blocks waiting to be mitigated before the next trend and this will give you a higher probability of catching the next trend , Goodluck.
2904  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: January 01, 2023, 09:56:50 PM
Well it all depends with one's risk appetite and things like how comfortable you are with the pay... If you like risk then being the business owner will be the right choice and if you don't want to be in the frying pan and taking things on the easy then being an employee is the choice for you but everyone would certainly want to be the business owner as there is more money to be made there, you call the shots and it's pay is unlimited(no cap) unlike being an employee, but unfortunately not all days will be rainy days which means employees go home with a little take home package and you as the boss can survive without a paycheck in some instances if business isn't going well.
2905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 01, 2023, 04:42:50 PM
It's amazing to see several people in the pool foresaw Tottenham losing to visitors Aston Villa convincingly in a match I thought Spurs will be desperate to get back to winning ways after dropping points just last week...and now today not even a point, I guess a top four finish is getting out of sight.

Well the new year games have been pretty much full of surprises if we take into consideration what happened until now,Manchester City at 1.14 odd not winning,Newcastle at 1.45 not winning and tonight Tottenham at a similar odd of that of Newcastle not only not winning but losing the game 0-2 against a team which lately has been not in so good form,it just shows that for me the Tottenham players maybe have celebrated a bit to much during yesterday night festivities  Grin.
I guess this is evidence that the festive season affects most of the favorites as most players could be in party mode and they aren't being supervised but no more parties anymore, time to work now.
2906  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you don't get the merit, the ranking won't go up? on: January 01, 2023, 04:24:08 PM
To be honest, I'm still a beginner here. and I want to ask if our ranking will not go up if we don't have merit?

please explain, and thank you
Unfortunately without merit you can't rank up and this only happened as a way to fight forum spam and low quality posts that went rampant few years back , but don't sweat it, the merit system is easy to understand using the analogy of how humans need food to grow and that food is in the form of merit here & without it you won't grow...
2907  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How badly can natural disasters stop mining operations? on: January 01, 2023, 03:46:42 PM
Do you think that some day, if miners are to stop their mining for a longer period, maybe a week or a month (very least/rare chances of this to happen),will it become an opportunity for small miners to merge and mine and try their luck at finding a block when the big numbers are out of the game for some time?

*Source
One of the greatest strengths the blockchain technology has is decentralization, same thing applies to mining but  in this case mining is kind of centralized because of special conditions needed like cooler temperatures, cheap electricity, fair legislation governing crypto, more computing power if centralized etc and if a calamity were to happen that causes a long term downtime for established miners... Definitely mergers would happen as this will add on a pools computing power to have a higher chance of those block rewards on a regular basis .

2908  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: January 01, 2023, 03:01:02 PM
I’m using this medium and the opportunity to wish everyone out there on the forum a jolly and a merry Christmas.
Compliments of the season to you too Smiley

I hope we all get to see and spend some time with loved ones, family and friends while spreading love, joy and cheer.
There is something about the Christmas season that just brings people together, maybe the presents, the food, the bonus pay from work but either way family always finds its self together and this tradition must continue to strengthen the bond that exists.

I also wish to remind everyone that we should spend money wisely and be very prudent. We should remember that by January of the next year, there would be a lot of bills that would need to be paid. So remember that while shopping for those items that may seem to be relevant and cool to get now but would be definitely irrelevant later on.
By January, a lot of people would probably be heading to the bank after going all out with their funds during Christmas to take loans to settle whatever bills would arise and there would be a lot that would arise!
I think money is always tight for most people in January cause they spent a whole lot of money during the Christmas period.
Wouldn't blame everything on Christmas because year in year out this day always comes and it's all because of our poor planning that leaves us in tight financial spots. To avoid the Jan-worry curse it's time we started saving for Xmas in January so that by December all expenses are covered and January will nolonger be a financial stressful month.
2909  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: December 31, 2022, 07:36:15 PM
Of recent, I've come across alot of people talking about traders chasing their losses which at the end, leads to possible blowing of accounts.
Honestly, Traders that revenge trade are indiscipline traders that clearly shows that they also have no strategy to follow and all they are doing is gambling and not trading!!

I understand that people trade with expections and most times when this expectations aren't met, they try as much as possible to chase after their losses and my questions are
From my experience, trading involves knowing how to manage your emotions and if you can't then clearly you aren't ready to trade because once things don't go your way, one gets to be reckless and things like revenge trading, trading without a stop-loss etc follow.

~ what will you advise someone making series of losses ?
For starters, let's all understand losses are part of trading you can't always win but you can minimize them by perfecting a trading strategy.
2910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: December 31, 2022, 12:12:07 PM
Dear GOLD token holders,

Recently our smart contract was attacked. As a result the GOLD token smart contact (developed by Ambisafe) will undergo extensive security audit. Once the audit is competed a new contract will be created and user balances that existed prior to the first hacking activity restored.

Previous audit by Chain Security of year 2019 failed to discover the vulnerability.

Gold Storage has taken all actions according to all applicable industry standards to protect users and its assets.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Regards,

Sorry to ask but i have some old coin stored and just noticed there is some kind of new contract address https://etherscan.io/token/0x0d16450d347c12c086d6c94c76c5aaac35ea07e0

and was wondering what steps to do if old coins from the old contract address ( 0x851e13b3cdcaec6fb3ae446dad82e112abaa827c) was not "restored" as the message says balances before the hack will be restored?? what steps can one take?

Or maybe this contract address is till valid https://etherscan.io/address/0x851e13b3cdcaec6fb3ae446dad82e112abaa827c as I see transactions are still active on the block explorer...

2912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: December 31, 2022, 06:58:01 AM
We know that most gamblers rely on luck to win big money. Money is the main motive of all gamblers.
Agreed! Just like everyone out there, if I said I gamble for fun I would be lying, we all gamble with a motive to come out profitable  and not to have fun losing money  Roll Eyes the fun only comes when you winning.. that's for a fact!

while others just want to have fun and relieve stress, but sometimes it causes more problems, especially if you run out of money just because of gambling.
This has to be a special one, gambling to relieve stress Huh I don't agree, I think if that would be my motive I would be more stressed about it because gambling has the aspect of losing and if I lost money that could just add more stress on me because we all want to win and no one enjoys losing!
for me gambling is only for entertainment as well as testing my luck  Grin
I like this motive, but sometimes you can make your own luck by having the skill to gamble.. Which means skill will overpower luck for certain games.

2913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading With Borrowed Funds!!! on: December 31, 2022, 06:37:30 AM
It is true that some people have become rich through crypto trading in the recent times. But considering the high risk involved in trading, do you think it's proper/wise to trade with borrowed funds as your capital irrespective of your trading experience?
They say to succeed in life you need to be prepared to take the risk, and the riskier the task is, the higher the reward! So basically borrowed or not borrowed trading is risky business which requires a trader to have the skill and experience. If skill/experience isn't there, then simply just don't trade.. Let's keep practicing to perfect the art.

2916  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: crypto-prices.info - simple cryptocurrency calculator / converter on: December 29, 2022, 09:20:24 PM
Not bad, nice clean user interface and no ads  could be better than the 2 P's despite being similar Roll Eyes Btw am already loving it as I get to use it to check crypto prices between different exchanges, but which broker or exchange is price based on for the coins listed...

Hope site doesn't go offline like preev did for a few weeks.
2917  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: I have to verify my blockchain account? on: December 29, 2022, 06:52:39 PM
These guys are still in business with all the better wallet options out there Roll Eyes, this is quite interesting... I wonder how they keep finding clients till this day...

Anyway, OP If you have no coins stored on the blockchain.com platform then best option is to leave and not trade your personal details for a few coins in the name of KYC, unless access has been limited and you hodl quite a good amount of coins there then you can go ahead  Roll Eyes

2918  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 29, 2022, 10:30:09 AM
If you are in twenties or early thirties and remain single
Are you implying only single people are invested in this technology because i dont think this is true... And the one third savings target in crypto is definitely not possible for a family person because so many commitments involved unless your paycheck is above average for you to put aside this much. Btw instead of 1/3 going to savings, maybe saving not less than $100 every month will definitely make a difference to your portfolio.

2920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 28, 2022, 11:10:23 PM
Cristiano Ronaldo not ready to move to Saudi Arabia as his agent, Jorge Mendes is searching for bids from European clubs. He's one of the best player in football history but his getting old and not fully active as before, so getting a club to signed and agree his personal condition would be a big deal to comply with.
Ronaldo playing in Europe is a is not a problem, but his  huge wage bill is definitely going to chase away potential teams that want his services and his been told that already. And I think Ronaldo needs to find a team that will give him a good send off party as he will be retiring soon and Saudi Arabia isn't the place for such a legend Tongue But going to Saudi Arabia for a good retirement package isn't bad either but for now no offers have come through and his destiny looks cemented for now.

Ronaldo is financially balance, he's not moved by the massive gigantic contract placed for him by Saudi Arabia club.
CR7 is a show man and if this record will stick and rub his haters eyes a little... I see him taking this deal just to go one better than his closest competitors like Messi and others.
