2901  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can The World Most Powerful Man Putin Be Assassinated? on: April 05, 2022, 06:46:06 PM
Can he be assassinated? of course
There are many people in Russia who are opposed to both Putin and this crazy war

Will he be assassinated? probably not
He has surrounded himself with the people who will support him no matter what,
yes men! It would be difficult to get to him but anything is possible.

It is becoming increasingly evident of war crimes being commited by retreating
Russian forces so I imagine the proper route would be to try him for those wrongs
in an international court of law rather than trying to eliminate him.
2902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you, or would you ever use a Bitcoin ATM? on: April 05, 2022, 12:17:24 PM
I've seen them pop up all around me, in small convenience stores and even restaurants. I was wondering if it's a good option to buy a gift for someone else, or are the fees too high and it's not worth it? Also I'm not sure how it works but figuring they give you a private key, and how safe is that?

I tried once, selling a small amount. I simply wanted to test how they worked in person. In my case the one I used did not require KYC, you simply send the amount in Bitcoin required, when the payment is confirmet a QR code appears on your mobile, you scan it on the machine and it gives you the money. I don't remember exactly the fees but it was something like 5-10%. It didn't seem that expensive for what I had heard and a non-kyc system of selling fast.

I would love to try one, if I had access to one where I didnt have to give personal details
I would use it for sure to buy and sell Bitcoin but mostly buy. For no KYC I would be
ok with a 5 to 10% fee I think.

Having said all that, I have yet to come across one.
2903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 05, 2022, 06:21:48 AM
And Swiatek could hold that #1 spot for quite a while at least this year if she can
continue to keep her performance level. The next 5 places behind her are very close
in points to each other but the one I would like to see challenging her is Osaka If
she can stay playing.

I know its hard to call but who do you think could challenge Iga for #1?
2904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union | League // Super |Sixes|Sevens | Pro14 | Cups & Tours | Olympics. on: April 04, 2022, 09:12:43 PM
Rugby Union

The United Rugby Championship is taking a break for 2 weeks but no break for the
teams involved in the European Rugby Championship or Heineken Champions Cup
because that takes over this coming weekend with the first round of 16. I'll be making
a few bets but not sure on who yet.

I'm thinking:
Leinster to beat Connacht
Racing 92 to beat Stade Francais
La Rochelle to beat Bordeaux Begles

The key going forward is to manage the body and stay injury free. As an 18
year old his physique is impressive but it will be important for him not to get burnt
out so early in his career, there is many years ahead and I would imagine it would
be prudent to not play every top tournament so early in the career so hopefully his
team will be able to put his welfare ahead of $'s and ranking.
2906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: imagine a world without Bitcoin on: April 04, 2022, 12:10:52 PM

That brings me to my question "imagine a future without cryptocurrency Bitcoin and a world without digital payments".
___how will the world look like?
___will financial transaction be stressful and restrict?
___will there be anything like Bitcointalk forum?
___will the rate of jobless increase or decrease?
___will the rate of scamming increase or decrease?

The future without Bitcoin will look the same as with Bitcoin in other words Bitcoin
isnt going to change the world.

Digital payments have been happening with FIAT for years with Debit and Credit cards
and bank transfers for example.

Joblessness will happen regardless of whether Bitcoin is around or not because of
AI technology and the world population constantly growing.

Alcaraz has just win Miami Tournament! 2 set vs 0!
7-5 6-4
it was not easy on first set but at the end he is collecting a well deserved title.
It was not really hard to bet on him since the other match they have played has been clearly win by the Spanish.

The odds offered on Alcaraz winner against Ruud are not high, but the Spanish seems to be the favorite.
There is only one precedent between the two players.
About a year ago they played a game that ended with Alcaraz victory (6-2 6-4) even if it was another surface much more suited to his playing characteristics.

Personally I will try to play a bet during the "live" match hoping for a 10% more odds.
It is a risk (because I could also get 10% less) but it is worth it to maximize the final result.

Today the women tournament ends with the match between Osaka and Swiatek!
I have my idea of how the match will end, but I keep it to myself Wink

It was a great win by him, to get broken early in the 1st set and to break back later
and go on to win the set. The 2nd one was easier for him, breaking Ruud's first game
and it was not too much trouble.

The interesting thing well, one of them anyway was his calmness to serve out for the match,
it was like pure belief he was going to win.

All our bets were fulfilled, I'm sure Trofo picked up better odds on Alcaraz early in the 1st set
after he went 0-3 down!
2908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is MicroStrategy planning? on: April 03, 2022, 06:06:50 PM
I assume we all are aware of MicroStrategy and incase if you are not then you should do a google search or check their website. They claim they are a business intelligence software company which I have no doubt when I read about them investing heavily in Bitcoin. Now, the fact, they have accumulated more Bitcoin to date than those that will be mined over the next hundred years of mining the first Bitcoin.

[img]https://i.imgur.com/1ark6FOl.jpg[/im]

A single entity that is constantly accumulating Bitcoin and is also able to acquire loans from financial institutions using Bitcoin as collateral[/ur] to buy more Bitcoin leads to suspicion. One thing I am sure they will be controlling the USD value of Bitcoin in the future and this might not sound alarming for many here but it can be very bad if they side up with financial institution.

Isn't Michael telling everybody what he is planning? As far as know he is holder of the last resort now which means he is a supermaximalist which will hold his bitcoins forever and get every coin he can lands his hands on.

Just watch a few videos of him on youtube and you'll get the idea pretty quick.

He definitely is in love with bitcoin.

Absolutely he is telling everyone what the plan is, I get multiple tweets per day exuding
positivity. Bitcoin for him and Microstrategy is the only financial safe haven in a very
uncertain financial future and to top it off having a monopoly on it is key.

Its ok to be suspicious but there is no other way to stop him other than taking the
remaining Bitcoin off the table buy buying and not selling.

2910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union | League // Super |Sixes|Sevens | Pro14 | Cups & Tours | Olympics. on: April 03, 2022, 11:45:53 AM
Rugby League

Big win by Storm and to hold The Bulldogs scoreless too, they take their spot
in #2 behind The Panthers.

Good win by The Eels too which brings them into 3rd. It will be hard to bet
against these 3 going forward.

I'm 3 from 4 in the NRL this round.

Rugby Union

I'm also 2 from 3 in the URC

Its hard to see any team other than Leinster winning it outright at this stage .
2911  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long Putin can continue this nonsense war?! on: April 03, 2022, 09:04:00 AM
86% of the Russian public supports Putin's war, so he will not have any political issues for a while, IMHO.

They support it because it is their fight for survival.

They may be exhausted by fighting and lose strength but if they do not fight then NATO will destroy them in the future.

NATO and the Western media are playing a major role in fueling this war. NATO and the United Nations can stop this war if they want but they do not want. The United Nations wants to gradually cripple Russia by creating economic pressure. Russia alone is not responsible for this war

If NATO is what endangers Russia, then go fight NATO or the US.

Why are you wasting your resources in Ukraine? Do you think you will be in a better position after you exhaust yourself in Ukraine?
What kind of logic is that? Your losses in Ukraine are $200-300M/day, 200-300 men/day.

"Po plan-oo" I guess, lol.

I think its fair to say NATO had just cause to have so many bases on the border with
Russia. If Russias leader can do so much damage to a non NATO country imagine
what would happen without those NATO bases.

How long will this Ukraine invasion last? IMO as long as Ukraine gets military support
it can resist so this coupled with the economic sanctions which wont be felt in Russia
fully for a number of weeks yet could determine how long it lasts, it could be months.

I have shifted my betting to both Rollbit and Nitrogensports instead of
Sportsbet but I have some Satoshi's still on Sportsbet which I cant transfer out,
I checked the odds on Alcaraz and they are not bad IMO, Alcaraz 1.34 v 3.35 Ruud
and  I've put a "sure bet" of 0.2mBTC on Alcaraz to take 1 set also on Sportsbet.

Rollbit have Alcaraz to win @ 1.32 and Nitrogensports 1.30

With ten minutes to go, the Broncos are down 6 - 16 against the Warriors - all three Qld teams seem to be playing a very patchy game this season - winning once, then tanking the next.

There are two more games today, the Sea Eagles Vs Raiders followed by the Cowboys Vs Roosters game in a couple of hours.

Yes, it looks like the cream is rising to the top. The Roosters did a right job
on the Cowboys, 4-28. The strange one for me is the Rabbitohs in 14th spot.
They are at home next week to the Dragons, which they should win.

Rugby Union

I had a win and a loss today in the URL Connacht won not convincingly
and Ulster were beaten well away to the Bulls 34-16, really thought it would be closer.

Rarity, yes but also its nice to have something different and something to enhance
or embellish a display. It can be inexpensive and interesting IMO.

2915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 02, 2022, 06:33:08 AM
~snip
My prediction about the winner from few days ago looks good so far. I said Alcaraz or Kyrgios would be the only ones I could consider betting on. While there were still Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas and Sinner in the draw.

Medvedev just proved that he actually does not deserve to be no.1, on two tournaments where he need "some" points to secure no.1 spot for some time, he won "next to nothing", and that is a mentality issue, which puts him far from no.1 player
nevertheless, competition is scarce these days, and he was lucky, but Alcaraz could change that soon enough, since all the others that you listed (Zverev, Tsitsipas and Sinner) are also far from no.1 spot mentality

will be interesting to see Hurkacs (did not tracked his score in Miami) with Alcaraz, bet is still on Alcaraz

True, I think Alcaraz is still going to be the favorite against, Hurkacz. Medvedev though, do you guys think that he has pressure on his shoulder as he is climbing to the ranks? He didn't win in the Sunshine tournament, and specially against Hurkacz, he could have a good chance specially when he comes back in the first set only to fall into the tie break. But in the second set, he was totally dominated. So it could have been a mental issue for him right now.

He did say in the post match interview that he thought the heat had affected him
and that he was struggling with it. Its hard to know with Medvedev or any player
really which goals are more important than others, maybe there are multiple goals
with equal importance, IDK. Is there pressure on Medvedev for the #1 spot
?Its hard to tell.

Alcaraz v Ruud - It has to be Alcaraz and thats where my $'s and Satoshi's are placed,
the guy seems to be getting stronger with every tournament. He has only dropped
one set this tournament and despatched Tsitsipas easily enough.

-snip-
Pegula vs Świątek the next semifinals!
Swiatek won with an impressive performance, and this year she's been amazing, at final will face Osaka this match is very likely to last 3 sets, this year she is already win 2 WTA 1000 and could be this the third for her and I bet for her to lift the throphy.

It will be Swiatek vs Osaka for the finals in the womens side.

Might be a 3rd set, I do agree, Osaka will have to play perfectly against Swiatek if she wanted to win in this tournament. If I'm not mistaken, this is Osaka's first final appearance after a long time so the pressure is on her to perform very well. Current line for Osaka ML @2.4.

I'm betting on Swiatek, I think she is the stronger of the two ATM and I think
Osaka is still very emotional which could be her downfall if things get in top of her.
Its fantastic to see her back in a final but today I'll bet with the stronger player.
2916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union | League // Super |Sixes|Sevens | Pro14 | Cups & Tours | Olympics. on: April 01, 2022, 08:04:48 PM
Rugby League

Going well Timelord as are The Panthers. I wonder If we were to just bet the same
amount on the Panthers in every round would we be up or down? going with my 20/20
vision last year would have been a successful one!

Rugby Union

United Rugby Championship Round 15 started today with wins for the Cell C Sharks
against The Dragons 51 - 3 and Glasgow Warriors 33 against Zebre Parma 5.

I have 3 bets on for this round:

Connacht to win away to Benetton - I am hoping Connacht can get inside the top 8 to
progress to the QF's but have two tough draws ahead away in South Africa.

Ulster to win away to the Vodacom Bulls. They are not favourites for this one but
they ran the Stormers close last week So I'll go again with them.

And a All-Ireland game between 3rd place Munster and Top spot Leinster, I'm going
with Leinster who will face a hugely packed Thomond Park.
2917  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto Sponsorship in the Sports Arena on: April 01, 2022, 06:45:13 PM
There have even been lawsuits against Mayweather because of the shitcoin that dropped in value after shilling it.

Though I doubt it, I sure wish they actually end up paying a price. Because whatever let them advertise bad cryptocurrencies(as there are bad businesses), but it's very different when they're advertising blatant obvious scams.

I also doubt that case will go forward since we know how influence will matter in this kind of situation. This is reminder to anyone that even though how the project look good and who are those famous guys promoting those coins we cannot still guarantee that we can earn with it. Its better to stick on what we believe and learn from experiences, rather than believing on fake promises and get scam by them.

And the trouble in these scenarios where $hitcoins are being advertised rather
than a service like exchanges and gambling sites, they are associated with a sports
team or individual so they are seen as reputable. The case above proves just because
its advertised it isnt necessarily healthy.

I will share once the holograms arrive, if anyone wants one, I will give it for free in US.

I've been following this thread since it was posted and I'm probably going to order a couple. These are some of my favorite designs and I no longer have any in my collection.

I'm sure that I'm not alone when I say thank you for sharing this with us, even if they're redeemed/peeled/never-funded and can't be "confirmed" they look amazing from the pictures you've supplied.

When the holograms arrive I'll take two, please.

They do actually look amazing, they at least the ones pictureddont look to have
been abused.

I would say the Eagles were cleared stock thats how the certificates are with them

I might consider getting one and a hologram just for the looks of it, dont know
if I would fund it though.
2919  Other / Meta / Re: IQ testing now required before posting on: April 01, 2022, 06:21:09 AM
Your answers will be used to calculate your IQ
I don't think that's how IQ test works.
The number of characters in the user's posts should be fed to the algorithm, post with at least 500 characters is a good indication of high intelligence.

also if you can post what you want to say in 1 line this is also a measure of High IQ.
2920  Economy / Service Discussion / Crypto Sponsorship in the Sports Arena on: March 31, 2022, 10:05:11 PM
There are two sports I watch regularly, Tennis and Rugby. This year I think is the first
year I have seen sponsorship of a Rugby team by a crypto service, this was Bitpanda's
sponsorship of the Italian Rugby team.

https://blog.bitpanda.com/en/italian-rugby-national-team-scores-try-bitpanda

Watching Tennis tonight and Osaka for the first time at Miami I realised she is sponsored
by FTX

https://www.totalsportal.com/news/naomi-osaka-joins-ftx/amp/

I realise a lot of crypto gambling sites as an example sponsor Soccer teams and
I think some crypto services team up with some motorsports.

It would be interesting to know if any other sports teams or persons are sponsored by
crypto services providers, Altcoin projects or endorse any Bitcoin specific projects.
