2921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 08, 2021, 10:01:52 PM
Bayern 3:0 Barcelona. We didn't had anything to offer against Bayern. About what we can talk when we scored just 2 goals in group stage. Only Dynamo and Malmo scored less. Welcome to Europa league.
While Benfica simply did what they were supposed to do.
Salzburg won against Sevilla, this is something unexpected. It was very poor campaign for Sevilla, but now they can move to their favourite tournament Smiley.
Lille beat Wolfsburg unexpected easy.
Young United squad didn't managed to beat Young Boys. But it wasn't enough for Young Boys and they didn't even reached Europa league.
Zenit - Chelsea was great game. When did last time Werner scored twice? And what goal equalizer by Ozdoev on last minute.
Atalanta - Villarreal posptponed to tomorrow, direct fight for 2nd place.
2922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 08, 2021, 04:44:28 PM
I'm feeling nervous before Bayern - Barca game. Despite that all odds goes against Barca, I believe that it's possible to win tonight. I put little bet on our win.
I would skip betting on Chelsea today. This game have zero importance for them, so without main players they may not win today.
Juventus - Malmo - over 2.5 @1.62
Group G games looks very tricky where all 4 teams are still in fight. My only bet on this group games is BTTS @1.85 on Salzburg - Sevilla game and I skip Wolfsburg - Lille.
Atalanta - Villarreal should be very interesting. I'm a bit surprised that Atlanta is so clearly favoured, but now they're playing very solid. I can't say same thing about Villarreal.

Note: I can't disclose the name of the local hardware wallet due to safety reasons [e.g. various threats] against a few of the scammers I've exposed before and in case someone mentions why I'm participating in a local board on this forum, I'm not residing in there.
I t would be very interesting to see this hardware wallet, but I completely understand your concerns why you're not sharing it. I tried to make little search for this wallet, but failed to find anything.

The ugly color was chosen to stand out from my too many USB sticks Cheesy
Well, at least it's not pink Cheesy. Probably 90% of people buy black wallet, so, I even forgot that you can pick color. BTW, maybe someone have one of these limited edition Ledger like Bitcoin Pizza Day edition or Bitcoin White Papper edition?

Nowadays  I use it once a month,  as here im Brazil we are allowed to sell each month about 5k usd per month without paying tax gains.
That's really nice law. I'm moving to Brazil Smiley. In my country you can make just €2500 gains (about $2800) without being taxed.
2924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: December 07, 2021, 10:26:28 PM
I do not think that Bayern will let Barca get away without few goals in their net
there is a rivalry, Bayern won against Dortmund over the weekend, so title should is not questioned (it is still early, and small difference, but for Bayern is important to be on top, and they will have winning strike in the second half, to ensure the title)

but, I would like to see Benfica out after their episode with Belenenses, there was no fair-play there, so cheering for Kyiv is a best option
I would rather wait for an gift from Dynamo than expect that we will beat Bayern. Though, Dynamo fight for nothing already. For me Bayern don't look like a team which is going to rest some players. As said already, they have easy life in Bundesliga and in recent years they have rivalry with Barca, so, I doubt that they're going to play like in meaningless game.
Don't know how big factor it will be, but this game will be played in empty stadium. I watched Leipzig - MC game today and without fans this game was hardly watchable for me.

Ajax might still be able to advance further this season, they're playing on almost the same level like they did that year or even better, but then the draws/fixture might actually have to be in their favour too, because it's tougher if they have to play big teams at every step of the way.
Completely agree about Ajax. I think this season they're capable to go far, maybe even reach semifinal like few years ago. They look amazing, they score a lot and concede very few goals.
2925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 07, 2021, 10:08:05 PM
I'm a bit sad that Milan didn't even qualified to Europa league and finished last. But it's death group and someone had to die. Liverpool won without most of main players. Milan had their chances, like Kessie who failed to score in the end. BTW, quality of pitch in San Siro looks awful.
Porto 1:3 Atletico. Result don't fully reflect game, but I think Atletico deserved to win and go to next round. Griezmann scored on of easiest goals in his career. But I think that red card that Porto got was very cheap and not right.
Didn't watched Real - Inter game. I expected something more from Inter, but Real now in very good shape.
Shakhtar is probably biggest disappointment for me in UCL. Last place in group with just 2 points with good squad and so much money spent in summer. While Sheriff is biggest surprise. Small club from not existing country with 7 points and they will continue in Europa league.
Ajax again had easy life against Sporting. Borussia humiliated Besiktas 5:0 and said goodbye to Champions league on a high note. While IMO Besiktas was completely worst team on tournament this season.
2926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 07, 2021, 05:35:02 PM
Before betting on last round games, it's worth to look at tables because some favorites may rest their main players
Leipzig - City. Good odds for City, but it's meaningless game for them, while Leipzig still fight for Europa league spot. So, I avoid betting on City today and pick BTTS and over 2.5 goals, despite that odds isn't high.
In PSG - Brugge game I don't see any chances for Brugge. So, my bet is over 3.5 goals @1.80.
2927  Other / Meta / Re: If the signature campaings are removed from the forum, will you stay or leave? on: December 07, 2021, 01:21:40 PM
When I joined forum, I didn't even knew what is signature campaign. My first thought when I heard tthis term for the first time was that someone is paying for signing in various petitions or something similar Cheesy.
So, I didn't joined Bitcointalk for signature campaigns and I definitely wouldn't leave if it would removed. When I wasn't in sig. campaign, I simply wear my own not paid signature and I didn't even become less active.
Though, it's possible that without paid signature I would a bit less active, but I doubt that change would be significant. On the other hand, if most members would become less active then, automatically it would mean that we would have less active topics where we can comment, answer questions, share knowledge and so on.
2928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2021/2022 on: December 06, 2021, 09:04:21 PM
Second round of FA Cup is almost over. Last game between Boreham and St Albans City is now in action and replay of Barrow - Ipsvich Town will be played next week. Lowest ranked team in next round will be Kidderminster Harriers from 6th division. There is also 3 teams from 5th tier.
Today draw of FA Cup third round has been made:

In third round EPL and Championship clubs will join competition. And we already have 3 games between EPL teams - Leicester - Watford, MU - Aston Villa and West Ham - Leeds.

Seriously tho, I have a Ledger Nano S, Trezor ONE and a BitHD Razor (that I got sent as a review unit):
I remember BitHD also offered me to send wallet. But then they said that they can't send it because of covid-19 pandemic which started in China and later they refused to send it because their shipping agency don't deliver to my country. It was kinda strange because I live in EU, not North Korea or other problematic country.

You have managed to preserve its condition nicely, good for you. Is the display quality the same after all these years?
Yeah, display quality looks same like new. I haven't used it at max brightness, so, probably it helped.
2930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 05, 2021, 10:11:07 PM
Somehow I missed Atletico game and I realized that they lost to Mallorca only today when I was cheking Sunday's fixtures on Flashscore.
Real is slowly turning their lead into significant. They not only beat their direct competitors but also they get gifts from them when they fail to beat underdogs.
Another terrible round for me. Almost all 50/50 predictions in game without clear favorite went completely wrong for me.
2931  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Show off your hardware wallet on: December 05, 2021, 09:51:48 PM
I'm also awful when I have to remwmber dates or numbers, I just remember that I bought on Black Friday. So, I dig up deep in my email and I found that I bought my Nano S back in 2017, so, I already have it for 4 years. And here is how it looks:

I don't use it very often, so, it looks almost like new. You can see little scratch on metal part of wallet, but honestly, I haven't even noticed it before I took photo with flash light. Now I'm looking into it with my eyes and I can't see that scratch. Well, maybe it was just some dirt.
Plastic part and screen of my Ledger looks perfect without any scratches.
I suppose that it would look much worse if I would use it on daily basis.
From all box content I only use USB cable, but unlike you I removed foil from it Cheesy
2932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: December 05, 2021, 08:25:57 PM
I'm watching F1 for long time already, but it was one of craziest races I ever saw. Max behaviour is so dirty. Maybe even more dirty than Shumacher. And we saw again how struggle to handle pressure and it can cost him Champion title. But it's worth to mention his amazing restart from P3 to P1.
And I haven't saw such emotional TotoWolf for long time - first he almost brake table after accident and later celebrated win like crazy.
Bottas drag race against Occon and P3 on finish line was cherry on top for Mercedes. Now constructor's trophy is almost in their hands.
In one my post I predicted that we may see safety cars and red flags on the race, but it was difficult to expect such crazy things.
All square before las round - did we ever had both title contenders with same amount of points before last race?

WTF they are doing with the rules.

The director of the race is doing offers to give positions at the restart.

THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE AND IT IS NOT ON RULES.

WTF he is doing.
It was really epic, but in previous seasons we haven't heard conversations between teams and FIA, so, maybe it didn't happened for the first time.
2933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 05, 2021, 03:47:18 PM
@morvillz: Really, has it only been less than 10 years? I seem to remember in my mind goal-line tech was in place in English football several years after 2004 when Chelski's Mourinho wouldn't stop talking about Luis Garcia's supposed ghost goal. Oh those were the lovely days when we kept delaying Chelsea's march to UCL haha.
I think that goal line technology was introduced much later. Remember that famous disallowed Lampard goal against Germany in 2010 World Cup. In EURO 2012 there was similar disallowed goal in Ukraine - England game. So, in EPL they started to use this technology only after these scandals.
I have strange feeling watching these old videos. My first thought is why ref isn't going to watch VAR and only later I realize that we have VAR just for few years so far Cheesy.
2934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 05, 2021, 12:17:21 AM
The last two midweek fixtures turned into two yellow caps for me, need more of those... Grin

Surprised to see that Atalanta didn't have many backers in our pool, Napoli with their talisman Insigne out, one of their best midfielders and in-form guys Fabian Ruiz also out due to injury, and Spalletti serving a two-game suspension for his red card against Sassuolo. A lot of things were pointing towards a positive outcome for the visiting team, just saying...

Now, who watched Roma and Inter match?

https://twitter.com/toribiotome/status/1467202513065713677

Watching it live i thought it was a goal, Brozovic thought it was a goal, livescoring apps marked it a goal (temporarily)...hilarious moment nonetheless.  Grin
I was thinking between Napoli win and draw. I missed these news about Napoli, well, my fault for not making homework Cheesy. Seems that now Atalant got in very good rhytm.
And WTF was that? Epic moment Cheesy. Even commentators realised it was no goal just from 2nd replay. It instantly remind me this ghost goal from Bundesliga:

2935  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Why I wouldn't buy Ledger Nano S ever again? on: December 04, 2021, 11:54:49 PM
You have valid points, but I don't see much point to complain much about device which was released 5 years ago and never been considered as high end product.
1. Closed Source - well, you probably knew about it when you bought this wallet, nothing has changed through all these years. For some people it's not big deal. If someone discovered that Ledger is closed source only after they have bought it, it's their fault, not Ledger.
2. Small Memory. It's always been case with Ledger. Install/Uninstall is a bit inconvenient thing, but for peoplewho keep BTC mainly I think it's not an issue. But if you keep 1032 different coins/tokens, you can get Nano X with bigger memory.
3. Display dies after few years. I haven't heard about this issue before this topic and I guess it doesn't happens often. Keeping device properly can help to avoid such issue.
4. Cheap plastic body. I would like if Nano S would be rugged, but then I guess it wouldn't cost $60 and price of it would be way above $100.
5. Nano S could soon be discontinued. Well, nothing lasts forever. Same like Windows discontinue to support old versions or phone manufacturers stop giving updates to old phones. But you still can use it, same like you still can acces your crypto on old Ledger devices. I remember some guesses that Ledger amy discontinue Nano S, soon after release of Nano X, but I think 1.5 year already passed and it didn't happened.
6. Bad Multisig support. Personally I don't need this thing, but yeah, I must agree about it.
7. Leaking personal information. That's big issue, it seriously hit Ledger reputation, but because of it device itself don't become worse.
8. Bad support. I don't have much experience with Ledger support, so I can't comment much about it, but unfortunately, poor support is quite often trend in crypto business. Though, it's not excuse for Ledger.
To summarize everything, Ledger is far from being perfect, but I think it's not worth to have very big expectations about old device for $60. It's same like you don't expect that 5 year old mid range phone will work better than new flagship or Toyota Prius will be better than Tesla Model S.
Now I wouldn't buy Nano S, but 4 or 5 year ago when I bought it, it wasn't an bad option.
2936  Other / Meta / Re: What is happening with the CAPTCHA? on: December 04, 2021, 11:09:56 PM
I don't know why, but I had the idea that for security reasons it is better to log out and log in. Can anyone confirm if there is no problem with this?
Probably it's better in terms of security, especially if you haven't clicked to remember login details on your browser. But I don't share my PC and smartphone with anyone, so, I don't see much point to log in/log out every time when I visit Bitcointalk. Especially when I come here so many times during the day.
2937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: December 04, 2021, 06:52:11 PM
Unbelievable end to qualifying!

Insane speed from Max, right on the limit, looked like he was going to steal that pole position back... and then, almost unimaginably, took it a little too hard on the very final corner... scuppering the lap, damaging the car... potential grid penalty for replacement parts? It really shows how hard these two are fighting... every last centimetre is crucial.

Really hope car damage doesn't hurt him here, we want Max vs Lewis on the track, no grid penalties for either of them.
Indeed, it was amazing qualifying. Max pushed limits and on first sector he made mistake when he almost hit wall. Despite it, he was fastest on first sector. On second sector he improved his time a bit more and most likely he would get pole. But that mistake on last corner was very painful for him. But seems that car wasn't damaged seriously, so I doubt that he will get penalty.
We have two Mercedes on front row, but with such pace Max is fully able to fight for a win tomorrow.
BTW, I think that safety car is very likely to appear on race and wouldn't be surprised if red flags will be needed on such dangerous track.

2939  Other / Meta / Re: What is happening with the CAPTCHA? on: December 03, 2021, 07:01:59 PM
Can't remember when I had to solve captcha to login to Bitcointalk last time. I clicked to always stay logged in, so I can't answer your question.
Are you using VPN or Tor? I think that people who use it sometimes face issues when they have to solve captcha.
I remember when I used faucets I had to solve hundreds of captchas each day and then difficulty of Google ReCaptcha increased much. It's normal thing because Google considered that activity from my network is suspicious. That may be case for you if you're using TOR, VPN or something similar.
2940  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Firmware Update? on: December 03, 2021, 06:44:08 PM
Well... looks like the answer was November 30th, 2021

They've put out an update to support Taproot amongst other things:
https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010446000-Ledger-Nano-S-firmware-release-notes?docs=true

Update was simple enough... saw the "New Firmware" banner in Ledger Live, clicked update now... followed the prompts... it even has the "re-install apps" feature at the end of the process that will put all the apps you had installed back on the device for you.

The entire process took less than 5 minutes.

I also had updated my Ledger firmware yesterday. Everything was smooth and without any issues. Actually, I was a bit surprised about it because on previous updates usually I had some kind f errors or other issues and had to search for answers how to solve it.
