2921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: April 20, 2020, 08:13:00 PM
There are so many ways to promote btc and i believe that social media is one of the best way to promote it, because the people around the globe are using social media maybe only 10% out of 100 is not using it so promoting bitcoin in social media is a good way or fastest way to promote.

Not one of the best, it is the current best social sharing that we have right now. There are 4.5 billion people that has the access to the internet, let's say that half of it, 2.25 billion have registered or has a social media like facebook -> 2.45 billion active users in monthly basis, Twitter -> 330 million active users in monthly basis, these are only two of most popular ones not including the Instagram since it is already owned by facebook. Look at that huge number, if you are going to promote in social media there is a higher chance of being recognized worldwide.
2922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Held a bitcoin seminar today on: April 20, 2020, 07:43:14 PM
What is most important about teaching btc to people who are new to it is making them understand the disadvantage of it, because given such big dreams about making quick money from it will only do more harm than good,
It is a great idea to want to spread the word of btc but it is equally important to let people know what they are getting involved with, the interest should come naturally, that way, the person will be able to withstand the constant ups and downs of market,
People use btc more as an investment rather than the technology, so the interest is more on the return of investment which is why it is important to emphasize more on the risk involved, especially to new members.
For this is the second effective way of educating people about cryptocurrency as a whole not just the bitcoin. It's overwhelming to see that there are some people who is initiating seminars about cryptocurrency, I'd like to have for myself once in my life but the internet is taking it wildly that is why the first most effective way of educating people belongs to the internet. The video/content creation/ article platforms solely made for crypto scene is best straw to sip knowledge in general terms.
2923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: April 20, 2020, 06:59:25 PM
As we all know , Coronavirus has impacted each and every industry in the whole world and sports isn't an exception .

If you take a look at this  , https://www.nytimes.com/article/sports-canceled-coronavirus.html or https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5232295.0 you will get to know how many tournaments across different sports have been affected .

But the question is , is this the right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? The assumption I am making here is  that the gambling addicts are addicts on sports betting and not casino game addiction or poker .

Why this question is because although I wanna bet on sports ( which I have been doing every week since 8 years ) now I cannot .
I think gambling addicts could surely stop gambling at this moment just because of the coronavirus, either way, they don't have a choice because for sure casinos are closed also sports games are canceled because of the coronavirus so there will be no bets in that for sure. Probably it would be a  choice of their life or their addiction if they continued to gamble or just stay at home or find  alternative like gambling online.

This situation probably helps you to get out of your addiction but if you know yourself that you don't really want to change your self it ould be useless because at the end of the virus you surely going to gamble again.
I'm very sure all of gamblers out there are staying at their home waiting for an announcement about the quarantine. They are maybe having lucid dreams about playing poker and other games lol. I think during this time is really a good time for getting out of gambling addiction however most of them may just consider it as a break, or worst they are gambling online so how they are going to quit?

The real gambling now is with the doctors trying to save as many lives as they can in fight with the virus, let us wish for their winning during the battle with pandemic virus.  Grin
2924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some casino gambling tips. on: April 20, 2020, 05:58:44 PM
Actually you can never judge if a casino is legit or not based on just it's ambiance.
Most of the times, the most illegal casinos are the ones which have a better ambiance than the legit ones.
Are we talking about the designers here? and does the look defines what lies within? As the old people says, don't judge the book by its cover, you might just get lost from your own thinking that the physical appearance of the casino gives any thing to you, I admit it the appearance matters also to me however you will not going to experience the entertainment you want with those luxurious design or whatsoever.

The tips you mentioned are quite good if you are new to gambling so that you can practice it right from the beginning.
For old time gamblers, it would be really hard to control on their budget and be comfortable in their surroundings since gamblers are always so excited.
Budgeting these days is hard, I feel you guys that's why I stopped gambling for a quite while now since I am prioritizing our necessity. If things gets okay, then I'll play right away when I have something to lose lol.
2925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Satoshi theory? Deceased or alive & well on: April 19, 2020, 04:43:58 PM
According to the theory that I believe satoshi nakamoto is not one person, but a group consisting of several people. Because projects as large as
bitcoin cannot possibly be handled by one person alone.
Well we cannot really say that since we don't have any of things or data to base on but I also think of that, Satoshi Nakamoto is a group rather than just a person because the creation of bitcoin needs to be sophisticated. Perhaps, he did it all alone and also took all his life time to get the bitcoin done and dies after he releases it. Maybe we are just seeing bitcoin cannot be created by just one person because it is huge now that we are just underestimating that man can do.

Most likely satoshi nakamoto is still alive, then the reason satoshi nakamoto chose to hide
due to security reasons. Because the government and banks do not like the presence of bitcoin, so if Satoshi Nakamoto appears to feel his safety
threatened. Actually the identity of satoshi nakamoto is not important to me, the most important thing is that his creation of bitcoin can benefit
people who are have it.
We can also conclude that Satoshi is watching us from now and then but he's not showing up because he is afraid and considering his family's safety too.
2926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: April 19, 2020, 01:28:30 PM
Honestly I do not like noise, especially casinos like in the picture on the OP.  It really disturbs concentration when playing gambling in my opinion. As long as online gambling still exists and if the casino remains crowded like that I would prefer to play online gambling, we all know that online gambling is now easy to know and there are many choices to stay we choose the best among online gambling available.
Observing silence while in Gambling place like casino is indeed but we must understand that the location is for public so expect anything can be a peoples behavior like making some noise but at least not too much.
also People that under liquor(since it is offered free in casinos)are more expressive and any outcome of bets will be celebrated.
they will shout if their getting close to win or if they won and even losing they will surely have reaction.so if you wanted a quite place while Betting you need to Take VIP room or play online inside your room.
Indeed casinos are loud coz why not? you can't stop people from laughing and shouting when they are winning, it's just a normal reaction to a gambler and I know that you know what I mean. There are people who wants to play in silence because they can focus more when they are hearing nothing but also there are people like me that wants to play in loud and crowded places especially when there is audiences watching me, it gives me more motivation to win the game. Admit it, you already shouted without you knowing because you have won a game  Cheesy
2927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: April 19, 2020, 12:18:50 PM
The threat will always continue to exist till the time 100% of the virus is over form the world and where there are large crowds come it becomes riskier. So would not travel at this point of time or visit any such places where the risk rises. It may take some months now before things get back on track.
Very dangerous to travel at this time to casinos or any place that gathers a huge crowd.
You don't need to travel when casinos are closed due to the virus, and I doubt the owner will give the life of his business in expense of his life and lives of his staffs. I keep on thinking what does the millionaire or billionaire casino players is doing now, maybe they'll fetch each other using helicopters and play casino games in one of their penthouses haha

You'll be a potential carrier if you are not careful enough or you can't stop yourself. But the good news is that you have no place to go if you want to gamble because casinos and other establishments are closed due to lockdown.
80% to 90% of businesses right now are close, even the malls so most probably gambling houses is off too. The pandemic is getting too long to contain, the vaccine may developed not until september this year so y'all better be safe than sorry. Just stop going out and you'll be fine.
2928  Economy / Economics / Re: Internet would become the most expensive commodity in the world. on: April 18, 2020, 07:06:34 PM
Internet fee is getting cheaper and cheaper by days passes and I don't think the price of internet data will increase in the future but they will give free internet and make everyone more lazy and be quarantine all the time by work from home concept and this is not going to happen in near future anyways. Smiley
The price of the internet is getting cheaper because of the competition however it is not cheap as it looks like. Fiber cables used in wires are expensive, maybe that's another form factor of the service pricing depending on the cable manufacturer plus the installation process and manpower, there are internet that cost the installation a lot than the others. The other factor is the place, if your place is not yet covered for the internet then there will be a special tower of you, but you won't get that in the normal price because it will be expenses will be shouldered by you unless you have neighbors that is willing to help you with that.
2929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving 2020 is almost here, are you ready? on: April 18, 2020, 06:27:58 PM
The image is good, it has the information we all need however the size of it is quite big that the thread becomes long even without any replies, hence people who open the forum with their phone might get irritated to it. You can edit it and adjust the size of its width and height, put it this way  -> so you'll have a smaller picture yet the written information is not that small to read, make it just a normal one.

With the halving that is occurring this year, I'm pretty skeptical about it actually since we are getting a halving that simultaneously go with the pandemic I mean it could be a bomb this year or a worst event to happen.
But I'll let it have may benefit of the doubt, I'll buy bitcoin and it's fork coins but not that much. 2020 is not a good year perhaps not on crypto tho.
2930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Online Gambling Charity Fundraiser for Covid-19 Donation on: April 18, 2020, 05:49:46 PM
Good initiative towards controlling corona spread from another crypto related company, but they are just raising funds isn't it? Or they are donating their profits shares with the people's donation to the non profit organization?

Freebitco is actually donating 20% of the profit generated from wagering during specific time intervals. The next schedule time is tomorrow Sunday19 April  from 02:30 to 05:30 UTC. The more we wager during this time, 20% goes to the covid19 funds.
Woah, 20% of generated profit is a lot and could've help plenty of people in the world. I'm just wondering where are they going to place it, what country in specific or state and who are they going to appoint to manage the funds. I personally want to help even not financially, I can offer my help socially and I want to help freebitco with this, I'm going to spread this news and join their affiliate program to also generate possible players on their gambling platform.
2931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 18, 2020, 05:07:03 PM
We don't have any specific date for when the NBA season would resume because of the pandemic, and I'm sure the NBA could not start right away after we found the vaccine I guess we will need to disinfect everything first before getting back to the court that will take a month or two. If we are under normal circumstance, I'll really wanna go with the Milwaukee Bucks since they got top 1 on the standing board right now in the east conference however Raptors won't that be too comfortable with just an old ring right? Still LA Lakers in the west.
2932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 18, 2020, 04:31:43 PM
But what keeps a kid from faking his ID making it look like he's old enough? I saw many KYC procedures that asks that a user uploads he's ID front and back side and that's it. What is keeping a kid to "photoshop" his ID to show he was born in 2000. and not in 2010.?
But certainly kids of age lesser than 18-20 shouldn't be allowed to gamble or invest or trade in any kind of commodity. The parents taking care of them should probably check their actions from time to time, and should see that they don't really get addicted towards gambling on the whole.
Well my take on this is if you have a decent job, not living with your parents or your parents that not support you in terms of financial then you have the right to spend on whatever you want like gambling even you are 18 years old. I guess we should start limiting the limits like age, gender, etc. since we are modern now, we should think of something new and something relevant. As for investment, I think we should start implementing a slight check on the investor, not just because they have a money to give to you but you want the money to be given hard earned and clean.

2933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reddit: Why not bitcoin? on: April 16, 2020, 07:00:35 PM
1. Sure Bitcoin isn't fast enough. But if you think Ethereum will be able to handle the stress, I don't know. Remember crypto kitties?
Ethereum is better than bitcoin in so many ways, what bitcoin has is the respect and reputation from most of us.

2. Reddit can implement such feature without using smart contracts. What's the point in using smart contracts anyway? It's not like Reddit is trying to be decentralized or non-custodial or something.
I doubt they can possibly made it without smart contracts, they want the ethereum then they should be running under ethereum smart contracts, it is not that they want to be decentralized or non-custodial, I guess it's part of having the ethereum.

3. Continue trying to convince yourself that. Dig deeper and you'll immediately realize that Ethereum isn't even decentralized hence pointless.
It's not pointless, and reddit knows it, there is something with ethereum that you cannot find with bitcoin. With all that, I'm excited to taste it with Reddit.
2934  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: April 16, 2020, 05:57:46 PM
As we see everyday many people are dying every day in Europe and America and their economy is going down every day and economy specialties are guessing that the USA will lose his position as economy king and china will take over and we are already seeing that china economy didn't drop much and there already making money in this crisis.
We don't really know what will happen after this pandemic. We can't make any conclusion  because we do not know about the plan and strategy of US to stay on their position as the king of all nation.
You can conclude man, just look at China's economy and recovery rates and compare it with what USA and European countries have got. U.S.A is on the edge now being slight pushed by China, I don't know what is on Xi's mind but as far as I see it he is really giving sh*t with the U.S.A and having them in the topmost position is hard to take away.

We know China is the number one in terms of economic growth but that is not enough to rule and become a king. Hoping that this pandemic crisis will end so that we can go back to our normal life.
If the economy is not the basis for ruling the world then what should it be? China has the most producer of anything in the world that's why their economy keeps on rising, have you ever wonder why apple has a china made materials?
2935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 16, 2020, 03:11:07 PM
Nobody would have expected that a pandemic like this would hit us so hard so quickly. To be honest, nobody was prepared for such a thing.
It's not just about casinos and it's employees but every industry is facing this troublesome situation.
It depends on the owners if they can afford to pay their employees or not. We can't blame the owners too since they will have to pay the bills and bare the loss anyway. It's good that despite this situation, there are some owners who are paying their employees but only prayers can help the rest.
There's no obligation here by the owners, but the government has.
Employees should ask help to the government instead, in fact US have printed trillions as a budget to face this pandemic, as a tax payer, we have to right to seek help from the government and even these casino owners as they themselves are tax payers as well.
Every government is doing its job for its citizen, as much as they can, there are just countries that is hardly unattainable due to some facts. I see nothing wrong with employees asking for consideration with their company to provide them something useful in times like this like cash assistance, food and water and company owner should consider them too not only as their worker but as a human too. We are all tax payers, every one should be viewed equally by the government but you cannot take the fact that there are people who is paying more tax than somebody.
2936  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic Coronvirus Impact On Global economy on: April 16, 2020, 02:36:04 PM
The world is surrounded by the COVID-19 and so the demand for the decentralized economy is increasing as a way of maintaining social distance. Does Pandemic Coronavirus open the door for the decentralized economy? Please justify your answer. Cool
Decentralized economy and social distancing? Whats the relation here ! Roll Eyes
Maybe? this should add as an another factor for accepting the idea of digital payments however that's not the main case for digital payments to be adopted as soon as possible.

This pandemic increases the digital transaction and even many government said that, so more people are moving towards digital payment but they are just moving from physical money to bank transaction so which never increases the need of decentralized payment yet.
Pandemic may give the best idea for digital payment but the pandemic only comes in a century or so, and I guess we would not be able to encounter severe pandemic like this as this will serve as a lesson to all of us, nations will be going to be more practical with the national budget they will get in the future. Fiat currency, and physical contact transaction will never be replaced, it is like arguing with what is the best currency to use but fiat will never lose its position.
2937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google has removed 49 cryptocurrency wallet browser extensions! Good move? on: April 16, 2020, 01:55:25 PM
This kind of news is giving a negative on the whole scene for cryptocurrency. Google as one of technology innovators, they cannot just let this kind of stuff happen especially if they are their extension which technically means they are running under Google. It was a good move for the google, a bad image for the crypto. I guess there are going to be more of this to happen, the removals of harmful extensions and software. Hopefully google finds more of these malicious extension so we can live with peace in crypto space, no scammers, no frauds just pure innovation. How I wish.
2938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 15, 2020, 07:13:52 PM
It seems like there is nothing special in handling this year because co-19 is the problem. If this pandemic does not occur, I think many people will expect halving this year.
Of course with halving that will occur in 26 days there must be a fairly stable market movement.
Well I think of the opposite mate, covid-19 surely brought a destruction to every market and caused a massive declines (not for chinese market) but I think there would be some bright places, limited bright places in the market that will make you gain unexpectedly. Pandemic is a problem, however the resistance from whales are stronger that the effect could not reach the worst of the scenario. 26 days are left for us to invest as much as we want, and I'll stick to the pattern, Bitcoin will soar this year if not $20,000 like ath maybe just a bit lower.

Pompaan definitely happen but (predictions) I will not penetrate the price of 10k.

Because currently it is an economic problem, halving may not be the main concern.

We already reached the $10K this year, In fact the covid-19 is already present at that time in China and several cases around the world so I guess it would not be a problem at all.
2939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some casino gambling tips. on: April 15, 2020, 06:33:57 PM
If I may add another tip, limit your time as well. It is not only money that you should put a cap on gambling, it should also include time. Once you are totally absorbed in the game and you are there allowing yourself to play up to whenever you want to stop or only when you are already very tired, that might be the start of you accomplishing nothing else in your life. You might end up missing a lot of things outside your small gambling world.
Limiting your playing time will depend on the case, if you are continuously winning then why not continue? just set a limit on your gains not on your time I guess especially now that most of us are in quarantined mode, we might be able to track the time when we are playing if we are enjoying too much. So I suggests to limit the loss in your gains rather than limiting your time playing.

Sometimes if you only play a single game there is a higher chance that you might get bored with it than playing 3 or more games, So try to jump into another games when you feel a bit off from your current game.
It helps that much to me.  Cheesy
2940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: April 15, 2020, 05:59:12 PM
To answer your question, I do not have a control, when I start doing something I enjoy I do not stop. That is the reason that I do not gamble because I believe that prevention is better than cure. If I caught myself in the quicksand of gambling addiction, I have a plan. First thing that I should do is accept myself as addicted and tell my parents that I am addicted and they will help me in rehabilitating my addiction by cutting off the funds that I get from them and making sure that I always go home after school and blocking online gambling website in our Internet. I believe that if you can put your mind in to something then you can do it successfully.
Good thinking. If you can't control yourself and you truly know your nature, you shouldn't go any deeper.
Gamblers that tend to control themselves are confident but there will be times that you just can't help yourself and that's a serious matter. If you go that deep, even you're calm and cool you just can't avoid it.
I never extended beyond that point or it is just I am not aware that I'm not in control anymore because I always think that I can get back my losses if I keep playing with higher risk. You know guys, gambling is gambling you'll not win if you are afraid to lose and risk what you already have, it is just a matter of fortune and skill in some way. You may feel you're not in control anymore if you keep on losing, but that is not what I think is happening, I think you are just not focused on winning.
