I did read that the age of the LTC reduces the fees, but I don't know if they meant age in terms of days sitting in your wallet,  or age in terms of number of confirmations.

It wouldn't surprise me, it's been volatile recently, lots of ups and down.

Some cards get really hot others don't, I have a HD5770 from Sapphire that wants to run at 85C. Where an nVidia gts450 is happy at 65C. Both have MSI afterburner auto controlling the fans.

I don't understand Ripples, if they have already been created then how are the transactions processed if there is no block mining to attach them to?

Handy thread, the 7950 cards are what I was looking at using too.

Does anyone know how to reduce LTC transaction fees from p2pool mining? To transfer 1LTC a dialog box pops up asking for a 0.6LTC transfer fee.

The newbie restriction is not a bad idea, but a  bit of a hassle when you have been lurking on the forums for quite a while, then discover you have a technical question you need an answer but can only ask in the newbie forum.
