2941  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WTF BINANCE YOU SUCK! on: May 22, 2021, 04:12:47 AM
It's a common thing now on Binance since last year when the bull run started. Here is what I experience too sometime back - The pain of trading in popular exchanges. Binance frooze during the BTC spike

Advice?

Start looking for other alternatives. Avoid trading on binance during times of very high volatility.
I switched to using Kucoin, FTX and Bybit
2942  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accidentally send erc20 to kraken eth address on: May 18, 2021, 12:06:18 PM
<...>
The type of hot wallets exchanges use are mostly HD wallets therefore. It's not just one address whose seeds are going to be exposed. It will be thousands of address of different accounts and by trying to recover only $10K. Risking millions of people's asset because of 1 person's assets that's not even listed in the exchange is a no-go area for most exchanges.
2943  Economy / Services / Re: bustadice signature campaign(Ending may 16th) on: May 18, 2021, 11:54:38 AM
I am glad to have been part of the people advertising for Bustadice. Thank you so much @devans and @yahoo62278 for the opportunity. May our paths meet again  Smiley
2944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: what exchanges can you buy monero on, p2p, dex, with some form of fiat on: May 16, 2021, 11:21:49 PM
Is binance p2p. Are their fees low? You have custody of your coins, correct?
Binance p2p doesn't charge fees, but the service is custodial

Try

You can also buy BTC, transfer it to one of these platforms and exchange them for XMR

2945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Important predictable timestamps throughout the day? on: May 16, 2021, 11:07:37 PM
I don't think it's as clear-cut in crypto market as it is in the stock markets but yes, there are certain peak hours during the day when the prices are so volatile if you trade very often. You will see some pattern
2946  Economy / Reputation / Re: Marlboroza.....!!!! on: May 16, 2021, 10:39:02 PM
I hope it's just his usual forum breaks that he enjoys sometimes. If you look at his post history, you will notice that he doesn't post for weeks at times for example, recently, he never posted for the whole month of April 2021.
He's a great asset in a fight against scammers.

One other valuable member who really got lost without a trace and not so many people noticed was Bones261  Cry
2947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Huobi Global, Kucoin and Gate.io? on: May 16, 2021, 09:59:17 PM
Of the 3 you mentioned. I suggest you stick with Kucoin. At the moment, the KYC procedure is not strict, and they rarely force traders to verify like gate.io does.

Just like Binance, Kucoin is not as regulation compliant as Coinbase and Gemini so once in a while you will see news of Kucoin vs SEc, Kucoin vs FinCEN etc
2948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 16, 2021, 09:10:24 PM
Did you guys watch the La Liga match today? what happened  Barcelona and Atletico madrid I can't believe they only drew even though they were playing at home. For the time being, the standings have been taken over by Real Madrid with 81 points  Huh
Did you watch?
Atlético Madrid won the match by scoring a late winner through Luis Suárez and no, Real Madrid did not overtake them with 81 points. This is the current table of La Liga Standings

Those who say that Atletico Madrid have already won the league. It's not over until it's over.

2950  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cryptorefills scam? on: May 15, 2021, 10:12:27 PM
Yeah fortunately they replied and they solved.

I was just a little biased because of a couple of complaints i read on other sites
It's great that your issue was sorted out

I understand the kind of frustration and tension one would be in when they start thinking that they have been scammed. Sometimes we have to understand that no system is perfect. Behind those sites are humans who are error-prone or may cause slight delays. How they respond to the issues raised is what separates a quality service from scam.

You might want to change the title of the accusation to avoid leaving the impression that it's a scam, at least according to your experience  Wink
2951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask Seed Phrase / Seed Word Stolen on: May 15, 2021, 09:04:16 PM
If they could modify the code of the smart contract that would be absolutely helpful. Do you know any case where that actually happened?
How would that be done?
There's nothing much you can do except wait for the team to help change the address if they can.

I assume that you address doesn't have any more ETH as of now. In case they send the tokens, someone has to first send ETH into the address in order to withdraw them. It will be a game of chance. Either you or the hacker will be the first to withdraw the tokens.
2952  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bounty Campaign Manager needs to be evaluated and force to pay Hunters. on: May 15, 2021, 07:18:52 PM
But there's already a solution. It's by joining that are being managed by trusted campaign managers or if the campaign manager is new/not trusted, they should use a trusted escrow to hold the funds for paying participants.

You people always ignore such and just apply for any bounty you come across.
2953  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: miners-block.com Ponzi Scheme. on: May 15, 2021, 09:53:50 AM
Just seen a lot more similar sites like miners-block.com. Everything is similar except than name

I don't know if it's the same person behind all these sites but if it is, then they surely are so determined to scam  Cheesy

2954  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit took my deposit/winnings and closed my account on: May 15, 2021, 09:20:04 AM
But, on a serious note whoever is behind 1xbit she/he is so good in scammer and I am surprised how they are still unable to lure people to their site despite all their reputation.

I don't understand why people still create account with 1xbit and gamble with real money on their platform.

They pump a lot of money into advertising. Never seen a scam company so aggressive in advertising like 1xbit/1xbet. From mainstream media such as TV to different websites, forums and blogs you won't miss seeing their adverts. In fact, they tried it on Bitcointalk too, but the community reacted negatively immediate.

What makes matters worse is that they are affiliated with popular brands via sponsorships. They sponsor La Liga, Seria A, FC Barcelona etc. I do watch so La Liga and Seria A Matches and you won't miss seeing their ads getting played on the stadium banners. This can easily confuse newbies to think that they are legit

Here is a sample of an advert that plays sometimes on sports TVs.

2955  Other / Meta / Re: Forum going slow? on: May 15, 2021, 08:54:56 AM
Just noticed this too, every tine you change IP the screen of cf show first. So probably its ddos.
I was surprised to see the Cloudflare "Checking your browser before accessing" page after a long time without seeing it while using this forum and mine was even in a loop until just opened the site through a fresh tab.

I guess the attack was mitigated shortly after.
2956  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bilaxy.com SCAM on: May 14, 2021, 07:50:59 PM
Thanks guys. Yeah, I've tried to write them directly () multiple times. Basically, what happens is they just ask for your e-mail and nothing happens afterwards. When you start to attract their attention in the chat they just ban you.

By the way, this is my second issue with them. Previously I had a similar issue with ETH withdrawal, but after some discussions they released it.

How long has your issue been on going?

I know it's very frustrating, but you have to be a little patient. Give them some little benefit of doubt  Wink
Investigations may take sometime and sending them multiple emails may not help speed up the process. If they take too long, we shall confirm them as scammers.
2957  Other / Meta / Re: NotATether merit source application (development and technical discussion board) on: May 14, 2021, 07:20:07 PM
I wholeheartedly support your merit source application. With the good technical knowledge you have, development and technical discussion board could use someone like you

As far as I recall, it's been awhile since Theymos added a few more merit sources. I don't know if it's just me, but merits seem to be a little scarce lately too. I think it's about time he added a few more Merit sources.

The likes of Bones261, Vod, TMAN, chimk and so many more I probably don't know about are no longer active or are now less active.
2958  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: we should monitor wich one ? (indicator) on: May 14, 2021, 06:52:06 PM
Bitcoin dominance is not an accurate indicator you can use to study the market. I am not saying the other are 100% accurate but they can help guide you on how the market might behave or help you to make a quicker decision

The most popular ones I use are
- Bollinger Bands
- Fibonacci replacement used to determine support and resistance levels
- MACD
- RSI

Look them up on YouTube, you will find lots of tutorials with great explanations in how you can use the tools
2959  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is BTC.D messed up on tradingview for anyone else? on: May 13, 2021, 11:49:09 PM
I have a really nice chart, but it's missing half the candles lol.
What do you mean by missing 1/2 of the candles?

A screenshot would do better to illustrate what kind of problem you are faced with.

This is how my graph looks like from Jan 2020

2960  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Help With Mybookie Casino on: May 13, 2021, 11:37:03 PM
Looks like you just lost your money to a formerly good casino gone rogue and may not be able to ever get it back. I just checked out the reviews on Trustpilot, and they are awful. So many people have been scammed in the same fashion

Let me quote for you a few.

Quote
I got scammed by them. I withdraw $625 on April 3rd. They keep telling me the payout was processed but i never got the payout. When i try to contact them they keep telling me to show them my statement from 04/03 to 04/15 but the email i get from them it had a full inbox, you cannot send anymore emails. I got scammed by them

Quote
Complete scam stole my money and customer service mocked me about it gross trashy Costa Rican scammers.

Quote
Mybookie does not pay winning bets. I won $33,000 on a Justin Thomas gold bet. I took him at 200-1 when he was a few shots from making the cut on a Friday at the 2021 players championship, Thomas made a huge comeback and won. Mybookie claimed it was the wrong line. Don’t wast your time or money, you will not get paid if you win. I moved to bookmaker and I love it, bitcoin payouts are same day, most times I get my funds 2 hours after making the request, very impressed with them.

Quote
I dont know if they going out of business and just taking money on way out but they aren't paying out or answering the phone. I have a 916 payout I've been waiting on

Quote
Please don’t use mybookie. I won $2,200 and withdrawal with bitcoin but i couldn’t get the coin been a week.
BITCOIN 48HOURS?? NOPE MYMONKEY TAKES MORE THAN A WEEK.
I BET MY DICK. IF I’M WORNG CUT IT.
I’M STILL WAITING. I WILL LET YOU GUYS KNOW.
