2941  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: January 17, 2013, 09:01:53 PM
You are right: I am "stupid" for expecting a site to deliver on what they say they will do.  I am also "stupid" for expecting them to answer PM/email questions about problems with my account.  And most of all I am "stupid" for posting my thoughts on a public forum where know-it-all clowns feel the need to insult everyone who dares to post a complaint.

And no, allowing users to contact other users does not create a legal liability.  As it stands now, BTCJam protects scammers.  Frankly, I don't think they care as long as they get their 1% cut.

The great thing about the internet is you don't like it, you can start your own Wink Maybe cause you hate so much they don't like you LOL cause they answer all my questions when I have ones.

Also they are giving you other users information which is a privacy thing and they can get sued if someone really wanted too. So you should totally read the laws just saying before making bold stupid statements.

Also they never promised anything, they were exploring it you idiot read the post.

Your just mad cause some scammer out smarted you and you thought you were going to get a payday like me Smiley It is ok dude, just take some butthurt lube and have fun with your remaining bitcoins LMAO

Also this "Know-it-all-clown" would post complaints right there with you, if there was actually things to complain about, but there isn't. Think it as this way, would you be complaining if you went to a job board and did a job and the dude stiffed you. You wouldn't blame the job board, it is the same situation.
2942  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: January 17, 2013, 06:47:16 AM
Its one thing to"take responsibility" and have a free-for-all.  Its another to claim the site is going to help punish stiffs when in fact it does nothing (and indeed protects them to some extent by not allowing sellers to contact them in any way).

Contact your lawyer, you do know that he can't just give out information like that especially if he is trying to be legit, so yea your stupid. He made one comment about they are working on it, they probably need to go thru so many hoops and legal things but your small brain can't think about all that.
2943  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a CDN (Content Delivery Network) that accepts bitcoins on: January 17, 2013, 06:24:30 AM
http://www.coinuploads.com/

sad this wasn't mentioned earlier. Hope thats what you need.

It isn't sad cause that is not what coinuploads.com is, cause it is a storage locker, I am looking for something different a CDN (Content Delivery Network).
2944  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: January 17, 2013, 02:55:20 AM
Hi there,

Two people that I funded have defaulted and for a while now.

Do you know what will happen to them? Will the money be collected by other means now?

When the site launched, they promised to report defaults to credit agencies and/or provide collection services.  Requests for updates on that service have generally been ignored for at least a month now.  I think it is safe to assume BTCjam will not be doing anything to defaulters any time soon.

Thaddeus

We are working towards that goal, can you point the place where that promise was made?

Promise was probably the wrong choice of word; still you have to understand that as near as anyone can tell nothing is being done.  You've been saying you are "working on it" for months and until today weren't even saying that anymore.

In the mean time, can you at least email the defaulters periodically or something.  Its entirely possible that at least a few simply forgot about it.

Thaddeus

Again people can't take responsible, this is a P2P lending site, it is to match you, not be responsible for your stupid choices. I have done so many loans and Never had one defaulted. Also do you think that maybe they need to explore the laws that have yet to be written for bitcoins, remember bitcoin isn't currency it is a commodity different USA laws are applied to both. So I think people like this need to shut up and deal with there stupidity in other ways.
2945  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for different Trade bot code examples on: January 16, 2013, 09:15:17 PM
Your not using any of the libs available for trading? I'm not sure how good the existing libs are but you're going to need to include one at some stage even just for performance comparison, saw a list here:
http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=85659

Those aren't bot trading, they are more like charting softwares that can point out profitable trades, very different from a trading bot.

Again if anyone wants to buy my trading bot skeleton, meaning no strategies but a buy high and sell low. (If you want more information PM me) It was written from scratch not using any libs expect for JSON. Can be extended very easily to another market. It is java, and I make a very good profit from it.
2946  Economy / Lending / Re: loan me 2 [btc] ill give you documents on: January 16, 2013, 08:20:55 AM
I don't blame you. Please don't call everyone a thief. It's VERY UNBECOMING.  Smiley If you can't lend Please Refrain from posting on my request...

Why not? You should never insult money, remember your asking us, not the other way around you should take advice and not whine cause now even if you built a rep no one will lend to you.
2947  Economy / Lending / Re: loan me 2 [btc] ill give you documents on: January 16, 2013, 07:58:51 AM

Ok dude, maybe build up a rep, then ask for money, you only have 12 post COME ON...

2949  Other / Off-topic / So I think we have a bitcoin groupie on: January 15, 2013, 02:57:01 AM
So for a few months I had been talking to a girl I met on here, I gave her 1btc for things just cause she was cool and cute looking pretty average. We talked about bitcoins and she seemed really interested, that is what got me Sad Fast forward we stopped talking cause she was "Sick". Recently she asked me to invest in a grow house for her, I told her it made me uncomfortable to fund that type of operation. Now I log on to skype to find this gem just waiting for me...

and the story gets better, I told her a close amount of bitcoins I control (it is kinda a lot since she was like in aw about it) before she started hitting me for money, so yeahhhhhhh after that I was just a bag of money, but I never gave her any more than 1btc so I don't feel that bad...
2950  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a CDN (Content Delivery Network) that accepts bitcoins on: January 13, 2013, 06:31:47 PM
The only reason I need a CDN is not to speed up content delivery, I am just going to have so much content that it doesn't make sense to just put it with my VPS within the reach of the site. It also helps with privacy since it make it difficult to scrap thru links to get to the other content. The only reason I am not going with Amazon is cause there CDN does have bandwidth limits and I expect the content to be pretty big, so it would eat that in a day, even if the site stays small.

But Thanks everyone!
2951  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a CDN (Content Delivery Network) that accepts bitcoins on: January 12, 2013, 07:25:07 PM
It's pretty easy to deploy one, we can do it and it'd be dedicated only to you (ie, your own CDN, no other clients on it)

Drop in a PM and we can discuss the bandwidth & storage requirements Smiley

I will probably just go with my regular host, and just buy a huge VPS or buy a shared hosting and a VPS and setup my own
Thanks for the offer anyway
2952  Economy / Services / Looking for a CDN (Content Delivery Network) that accepts bitcoins on: January 12, 2013, 06:14:51 AM
I am in the mist of working on a new solo project, that of course involves bitcoins and it is in a niche that would require of moving files. These files are not illegal, and this is not a cyber locker, but there will be many of these files. It would be nice to have an amazon pricing cause I don't know how much space I need.

*This project is still in the planning just trying to field out my options.*
2953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Should we recommend that noobs use an alternative client? on: January 08, 2013, 07:30:01 PM
I don't disagree, making sure that new users have a diverse selection of well maintained and user friendly clients to choose from is definitely important.  Arguing with gweedo, who believes that "Right now noobies that aren't serious or fully invested into learning and studying bitcoin shouldn't be using it" however, is a waste of time.

The conversation about how to educate new users, and which clients they should consider, can exist without constantly having to tell gweedo that "Bitcoin is for anyone who wants to use it".

You took that way out of context, is so bad that newbies should stay away from bitcoins for another year or two? I don't see the issue, yet he doesn't explain his side.
2954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Should we recommend that noobs use an alternative client? on: January 08, 2013, 05:32:23 PM
But we HAVE point and click options right now.  QT ISN'T for newbies.  We have OTHER options that ARE for newbies.  Why do you insist upon bringing QT to the newbie-friendly level when even Gavin has stated that that is not its purpose?

You obviously didn't read my statement. Bitcoins isn't for newbies, I don't know if you knew. You do also know that those other options are suppose to be "complimentary" to QT. If you took the time to read things.

Are you still arguing with him over his opinion that bitcoin should only be used by those who have a deep understanding of the inner workings and a true dedication to bitcoin?  I clicked ingore and stopped wasting my time on that argument.

This saddens me cause we are debating like we should be on this forum. Yet this bitcoin elitist obviously thinks it is a debate not to have or argument cause my opinion is different. You troll you get ignored, your opinion is different you get ignore also, very sad. This is also a big issue people not facing facts and learning from history.
2955  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: WyseNynja's Homebrew tap for all your OSX bitcoin needs on: January 06, 2013, 12:41:53 AM
I have no inclination to help any fool who cannot upload a gpg key and in case you did not notice asshole I have no access to that gpg to fix the problem anyways. And it is people like you that are the reason useless practices like this creep into a project always going on about how great it is that the useless practitioner is doing it for free don't point out any problems you uncouth swine how dare you... PLONK.

if your just going to criticize then don't even post in the thread, the dude made one mistake and you acted like an asshole instead of pointing it out, and it is just a script not a full program. Dude get over yourself if your such a great coder wheres your projects? I am not even going to answer anymore since I am not going to fill a good dudes thread up with stupidity from a 12yr kid which you are obviously.
2956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My open letter to Bitcoin Foundation on: December 30, 2012, 12:11:43 AM
BS, the foundation should be looking out for the community, not the views of 2 businesses and one developer. If he is looking for a pay day, then maybe he shouldn't be the lead developer, complete BS.

Why is that BS?  He forgot he is a slave and works for free?  What do you do for a living, do you work for free?  A fair bit ironic to see this just to the right of:

Quote
Java, PHP, HTML/CSS Programmer for Hire!

If he was getting a pay day and contributing nothing, I suppose I could understand, but when "core development status report" is only 8 days old and clearly indicates he is delivering software and preparing to deliver more, I think we as a community are getting a damn good deal and I think we as a community should rather keep him building bitcoin software.

Then why don't we start paying all developers, he choose to work for free, I choose to be compensated for my work. Satoshi didn't hold a gun to his head and say "hey you have to do this" he was choose and he accepted. Calling him a slave is crazy talk. I just feel like that foundation is, paying his way and the core developers, honestly I rather see the money go to something more worth while. Why don't they have a booth at CEAS, he is the best one to really talk about bitcoins. Also has anyone noticed you say one thing about the foundation and everyone from that elitist group attacks, this is why it will fail, it is a dictatorship so far. Again 2 business companies and a developer I see trouble ahead.

I can do both php and java, but I need more info and what kind of payments or options we would get?
2958  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] BTC-Lotto.com + DVC-Lotto.com on: December 26, 2012, 08:21:32 PM
Ok I hate to be the mean person but if your selling a site, you never factor in the time you spent coding. The value of a site is based on how much it makes and how many uniques you get. Good Luck, if you get a realistic price (preferably in the ~20 - ~40btc area)  hit me with a pm cause I am interested.
2959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fee to join IRC chat rooms on: December 26, 2012, 08:01:04 PM
I can write this bot doesn't sound that hard, I have written may IRC bots in java.
2960  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] BTC-Lotto.com + DVC-Lotto.com on: December 26, 2012, 07:57:34 PM
Well then how are you getting to 100 btcs? That is what I am trying to figure out, cause your not giving me a server, it doesn't make any revenue, I am would really be taking a hit, and be in the hole already for ~150btc (after all cost and refilling deposits). Can you revalue this site to something realistic?
