2941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Metaverse a bubble? on: December 30, 2021, 11:56:46 AM
When basic technologies such as AR and VR are not yet mature, are all the metaverse projects in the market a bubble?

Can $SAND $MANA still be invested?
So far, SAND and MANA are still good to choose as good investments because from their development you can still see that both teams are serious about developing their products so that they will be even better next year and also in the future.
Not sure about that as both $SAND $MANA could have reach the bubble just saying. But as far as Metaverse itself, it's not, there could be more projects coming in the horizon that can really put the name of Metaverse on top as the next hype in crypto space.

So for me, it will still continue it's way to 2022 and could produce more hype and obviously, more money for investors specially the early bagholders.
2942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 29, 2021, 03:40:03 PM
I'll take the Phoenix Suns vs OKC if OKC can take a small lead in the first quarter. Suns -14.5 is just too much for me, I'd like to cut it a little bit if possible.

So your bet here is Suns -14.5 or OKC +14.5? I think even if OKC can take a lead in the 1st quarter the Suns can still come back and beat them in the remaining quarters. In some games the Suns even beat their opponent by 15 points in just one quarter, so for me, -14.5 is not too much for the Suns who would likely dominant the OKC.
Take note though that the Suns is without DA and Jae Crowder. And OKC is playing very hard in their last five games. So I would say that +14.5 will be a good bet. If the Suns are going to win, I'm going to say that it might be just by 12 points or less.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) is really playing good in the last week and If I'm not mistaken, winner of player of the week. So this is going to be a close game. Suns taking a big lead and then OKC going to cut it back in the 4th.
2943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me out on: December 29, 2021, 12:51:56 PM
In your case, it is better to take risks and bet on projects for $ 50 per month until you find a project that will give x50 and you can increase the size of the bet. For you, this is a roulette game with an unknown number of randomly winning numbers. where you can win and lose a lot at once or constantly lose but a little bit.
And that is the big question, which project will give you x50 when we are about to enter a bear market. So for starters I would say choose altcoins in the top 10 and see how it goes first. Specially if what I said will be true, because in the bear market, the prices of the coins will sure be going down hard and it will be on a bargain. And then that is the right time to buy and fill your bags and then hold for years and wait till the next bull run (if you have that kind of mentality). But if you are here for short term, hmm, I can't advise you on what to invest though, for me it's better if you go long in a bear market.
2944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 29, 2021, 12:18:08 PM
And even if Lebron won his 6 rings people are still not going to rank him higher though. There could be argument that MJ did it 6 out of 6, Lol. What's important is for those who have been in basketball to have seen MJ, and then passing the torch to Kobe and now Lebron is carrying the torch. Lebron has surpasses both of them in some statistical numbers I believed and year MJ is still the GOAT. And he can still make another history if our assumptions is right that he is waiting for Bronny to get into the NBA before he can finally retire.
2945  Economy / Speculation / Re: What about 2022? on: December 29, 2021, 11:46:33 AM
We had been speculating so many things for the end of December as some said bitcoin will skyrocket and few said December had not been a positive month in the past. But to my surprise we have neither seen any major pump or dump in a while and we are almost at the end of December. What's your take on 2022? Will it be as profitable as 2021 or else we will witness correction phase?
Not really sure if it will be profitable or not, but again, if history repeats itself, we might end up to bearish just like in 2018, just saying. So I'm forgetting the dream of hitting 6 digits at this point, we barely touches $50k last week and now it's down again to $47k, being the pump is not organic and maybe whales and speculators are playing with our emotions again. And for that we should prepare for the worst in 2022 and adjust everything so that we can mitigate our bitcoins/fiat conversion.
2946  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Bots on: December 29, 2021, 11:18:56 AM

We all know how volatile the crypto market is especially now. I have heard so much about crypto trading bots and their possibilities of automating the trading process and turning folks into crypto millionaires. For some of these bots, the user can program them to buy at predefined low and sell at a predefined high. I’m pretty skeptical about this maybe out of ignorance or just sheer human skepticism for stuff like this. Have you ever used a bot to automate your trading? Do you trust it enough to make the right decisions? If trading bots are as good as they claim, why are folks not using them as much as they should?
Well you have a big misconception about trading bots, first it will not turn anyone into instant millionaire, second, you will still have to go to a learning curve, third bots still rely to humans, on how to set it up properly. So it's not like a magic bean that you will suddenly make you passive income day in day out. There could be a couple that is good but most probably those who are using trading bots still needs to work their ass off.

I wonder what's next for them. Are they will be out of the Top 8 until their main star will come back?
That's what I'm expecting to happen.

They will face Nets twice and the Suns in their next ten games. I see them losing those while the rest are also tough but still winnable. We'll evaluate again after that since Paul George is expected to return after those games.

Right, it will be a struggle for the Clippers to be just above the .500 market in the Western conference. So it will be very difficult to win against the Nets with Harden now playing very good plus the support players of Nets as well. Clippers losing four out of their last five, is a sign already that things might not end good for them at least before the all star break. So I'm going to be on the Nets side here.
2948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Animal racing on: December 28, 2021, 03:02:40 AM
I guess it really depends on the individual, but as old as human history though, we've heard this kind of animal racing or sports and so it has existed throughout different cultures. It might not been universally accepted and maybe condemned by animal groups in the last century or so, but still continuing up to this time. Personally I don't like it, but I'm a fan of horse racing, so those animals don't fight for survival, it's a race, but there are times that horses die after a race because their body can't take the grueling lap ran.
2949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Crypto Altcoin Projects likely to make you a millionaire on: December 28, 2021, 02:32:31 AM
It's really hard to judge which coins amongst the list will make you a millionaire though.

I think this is blatantly shilling in my opinion, in any case though, we should all be careful and of course do our own investigations. As we all know that crypto investment is a big risk on our part and not everyone will become self millionaire here and it is very difficult.

I'm not saying though that those coins mentions are bad either, but maybe we need to take a closer look first.
2950  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Finally Climbs Back Above $50k, but can it Remain there? on: December 28, 2021, 02:09:35 AM
The new years pump is yet to come. I mean if we got a Christmas pump, why shouldn't we get a new years pump. Hell lets even celebrate every day of January while we're at it.

Yep, we should, and I was saying before, if the price didn't end up above $50k at the end of the year, we might see a bear market in 2022. But it seems that we have been hovering $50k-$51k in the last couple of days so we have a good chance of still having a good price although very far from what everyone wanted to see, a six digit price.

But in any case, we are still in the middle of it all, neither bull or bearish trend. Still really up to us where do we want to go next year. Maybe in the first quarter, the price could still go up and reaches all time high.
2951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 28, 2021, 01:53:52 AM
I'm backing the Bulls once more as they'll be facing a struggling Hawks team, the line opened at -5.5 but now that the Hawks announced that Trae Young is playing the line moved down to -3.5 i'm still taking that as the Hawks are still missing a lot of players while the Bulls have most of their key players ready to go. The Bulls have little to no rest as they're on a back to back but the Hawks are struggling to snap their losing streak at home. Not sure if it's a coincidence but all of their wins this month came from road games.

I got the Bulls -2.5 when the game starts, and before the end of the 1st quarter, when the Hawks are still leading.

It was a good odds at 1.94 that I got, surprisingly, Trae Young are playing that why's the Bulls are having a hard time catching up. But once DeRozan and Lavine gets hot, they started to hit shots and take a slim lead at the end of second quarter. I thought it was the third already as it seems this is a high scoring game and lucky for those who bet on the over initial line at it has a high chance to be hit with the way the teams are shooting.
2952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 27, 2021, 04:03:48 PM
Of course, that is whey we have weight classes here, because it aids us in analysing the fight. As Barrios is not used to this weight, while Thurman has been campaigning at welterweight since the beginning of his career. Unless Barrios are like the greats, Pacman and Canelo Alvarez who goes up in weight and defeated their opponents. There's nothing extraordinary with him, in fact we all know that Davis has knock him out already. And so fighting a bigger guy in Thurman might be a problem for Barrios.

As far as I know Mario Barrios changes his weight class on the advice of his coach. I don't think he wants to ruin his boxing career with this decision. And we don't see what's going on behind the scenes. It is quite possible that while he was out of the ring his training was more intense to feel good in the welterweight division.
This is a big challenge for Barrios and maybe he just really want to move forward and try a higher weight class and make his name on that level, that is possible as long as he hits the right weight, though it may not be easy but at least he has a chance to win especially Thurman is also came from a big loss and long lay off. This is a good math up, both are eager to win, we may not know what's happening behind the scene but at least we have the idea on their future match up.
Definitely, but he is biting more than he can chew here, I mean why he chooses a former champion to be his first fight in this division? Maybe he thinks that Thurman, being away and coming from a loss will be an advantage for him? But I doubt it though, Thurman has face a lot of great boxers in this division and so far only Pacquiao beat him.
2953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 27, 2021, 03:23:56 PM
Spurs on their way to 8th seed by the looks of it, three wins in a row! That's great to see from them, I expected them to be better by next year but they are showing how they are still good even this year. I know that most people talk about the top teams and how they are good and when I talk about the 10th team in west as good some of you may feel weird.

However, as a person who had a chance of 20 years in a row dominant team, having a team that is not dominant at all was a weird feeling of love. I mean we never really had to say "I was a fan during bad days too", even Lakers fans had that but Spurs never had it until a few years ago when Kawhi left. On contrast, Lakers look like they are closer to 10th seed nowadays Cheesy. I mean not to be happy about it but I would say I rather see Spurs in playoffs than Lakers if that's what we got.
Or maybe we can see coach Pop's experiment have been paying off this season? They also make a lot of moves off season and now it seems a perfect fit for this players. Actually if you look at it, they are all role players to me, no star or franchise player. And it does good to the team as everyone really have to work hard, and the dangerous things is that this dude are just like in their 20's. So imagine if they are going to be fully developed in the next 2-3 years, they could be a contender team.
2954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP for 2025 on: December 25, 2021, 10:08:13 PM
I know that so many people don't like XRP for some reasons but if you do this question is for you, what do you think about the future of XRP? I'm planning to buy some and hold for long time, is this a good plan or a bad one? How do you see the lawsuit affecting XRP on long term?
There’s still no final decision about that lawsuit and I think that’s the reason why XRP is still having a hard time to pump but also stay on a good position despite of that. I still see a good potential, yes there’s a big risk and if you are ready for that better to have XRP now and wait for it to pump again, you’ll need more patience for this.
The recovery will always depend on the result with that law suit but in the past months, XRP was still able to pump despite of having such pending case so maybe there’s still a good chance for XRP to rise again. Three years from now might be a good year for cryptomarket again and with XRP, its future is still intact and good, this may take time to recover but it can be more worth it especially if you are holding XRP as well.
Right, if they win the case then obviously it will be very big not just for XRP but for crypto market.

But SEC's batting average is 100% as far as I know on cases they filed against crypto projects regardless of what is it. So the chances for XRP is very slim here in my opinion.

Nevetheless, investors of XRP shouldn't be discourage, maybe in the next years it will still have consensus and full support from crypto users.
2955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 25, 2021, 09:36:04 PM
I'm watching the game between the Bucks and Boston. So far it was a great game, Boston taking a huge lead but Bucks is coming back and closing the gap. It's Bucks homecourt and Giannis is back so I'm expecting that the game will be very close this fourth quarter. Boston leading by just 4 points, 94-90 entering fourth quarter.
Right, Boston is really stubborn on this game, Bucks was able to bring it to 1 point deficit. But the Boston are not wilting on the pressure on Fiserv. Tatum, Brown and Smart are bringing it out in this game. Giannis leading all the scorer so for sure this will be another back and forth last quarter and the team that melt in the last 2 minutes will surely lost. Score now, 90-101, Boston scored 7 quick points, 10 minutes left.
2956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on sale, will the support continues to hold? on: December 25, 2021, 08:16:41 PM
^ Panic sellers will have to learn it the hard way here in crypto. You can't blame them if they want to stop the bleeding in their portfolio and cashing it out early. Maybe they're thinking of going back in the market, once it settled down and re-invest again. But I think majority of us really wanted to just hold, no matter what will be the resistance or support price. In the long run, holding will be the best option.

[snip]

@Daniel91 in short isn’t Novak getting special privilege?, and doesn’t that sent out a wrong message to other player’s, because they’ll use his example to avoid the vax and continue playing in upcoming tournaments.

Furthermore I doubt that Andy will be able to do something special in this tournament, hence I’ll only watch him play for fun but won’t have any expectations for his victory.
Yes, I don't think that Andy can move further in the Australian Open because of so many great players we have right now. Sure he can win some games, but I doubt that he can go even to the quarter finals next year.

But still fun to see him complete at his stage of his career, but obviously, he is no longer in his best years and not in his prime anymore and just competing because he really loves this sports so much.
2958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIBA Fever on: December 25, 2021, 01:04:44 PM
It's so damn weird where people are actually investing and hyping up meme coins rather than those projects that really has use cases.
This is an obvious indication that a lot of people really wants to have an easier way to make money even If it has a very risky status.
As a result, other people also wants to take advantage of the fact that a lot of people are willing to put their money to a project that has no real use cases but just a hype and joke tokens.
Sadly, yes, many are looking for ways to make a quick money thru this meme coins, very easy for them, both the devs and then the experienced investors.

Create a token, publish it, market in the right platform and then boom, price goes up, sold your tokens when the price is still high, takes profit, easy peasy. So with that said, I'm not into this meme coin, would rather put my hard earn money on solid and legit projects.
2959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 25, 2021, 12:25:25 PM
^^ Not to be a hater, but we've seen too much of the Lakers in this season already. And there's no improvement whatsoever. They can't even pull a string of victories to really give us some hope that the chemistry problem has been solved already.

So yes, it will be the Warriors and the Suns in the WCF for this year most probably.

And it will be interesting to see Paul against Steph in the finals again.
2960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise or fall. on: December 25, 2021, 11:54:46 AM
As usual bitcoin still seems like into bullish in long run and in short term might be in sideways.
At least we are not into bearish trend like how were doing lat week. Year-end is always a typical situation like for bullish years, it have turned bearish and for sideways/bearish years, it was a perfect open door for trend change.
Yeah, it seems that this last two weeks will be bullish at least trying to get to $52k.

November's last week and December's first 3 weeks were dominated by bearish and sideways trend hence we could expect bullish actions from here onward even this year had bullish trend at most of the months. This year might be a different bullish year from previous such years like we had ATH by April itself and then we had approximately same ATH again in November which are trying to indicates us long lasting bullish trend unlike previous cycles. It means bitcoin may keep rising for next few more months as political news are just settling down and people may resume to continue their accumulation like before.
It's really interesting what will be the year 2022 will bring to us. I don't count the last two weeks, as I have said, I'm expecting it to be bullish. However, next year will be very interesting, as I have said, if we didn't get over $50k this end of year, we might be in a bearish mode. But since we are around that price, maybe the sentiments might chance for bullish in the next first quarter.
