Hey all got a question.  If you don't have a nano ledger s and store bitcoin in a desktop wallet like say electrum or armory, do you have to make precautions like if you are buying a wireless mouse or usb or external hard drive to make sure you buy from a legit site like amazon as oppose to say ebay or 3rd party from amazon?  Because the wireless mouse or usb/external hard drive could possibly be refurbished or used etc and connecting it to your computer could possibly give a virus?  Or its advertised as new and been used?  I read online that a mouse is too small to up a virus but if its a wireless mouse, that would be different because of signals?

But a usb or external hard drive certainly could have a virus?  Curious about a wireless mouse.

I had not thought about this until now.

Can someone explain why when you type in binance on google or other similar sites the first link or two links that shows up on the top are the google ads links with the supposed site?  Why has those not been taken down?  Because if you are not careful, you could easily click on it like the original poster.

Bitcoin i recall use to have safex as a coin.  Then it no longer has it anymore.  Does anyone know what happens if you bought safex on bittrex and kept it on bittrex... and then later bittrex removes safex?  What happens to your coins then?

Can others confirm here that wallets online won't work with chromebook because it uses chrome os and not windows?
2968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chromebook for Storing Wallets Only? on: January 28, 2018, 02:24:03 AM

2969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell all alts for Bitcoin while it's down? on: January 27, 2018, 06:25:51 AM

2970  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I Be Scared Of Hackers If I Have Lot of BTC. on: January 27, 2018, 05:11:02 AM
mistletoe, what bitcoin wallet did you use or was it an exchange?
2971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would you want to exchange your coins for USDT ? on: January 27, 2018, 04:41:13 AM
Well USDT has been safe the entire time right?  So people are worried that one day USDT would be worth nothing and say you have a lot of USDT on the exchange, then its basically 0?
2972  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I Be Scared Of Hackers If I Have Lot of BTC. on: January 27, 2018, 04:40:21 AM
what if you own other altcoins that doesn't work on the nano ledger s?  Wouldnt it make more sense to buy a new computer solely for storing btc and every other altcoin etc?

Does anyone here use streaming sites or watch porn on their computer that have their wallets?

Would that mean if you do any of that, make sure you get a different computer?  Thus the computer that you have your wallets, just make sure you don't visit dangerous sites on it etc?
2974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chromebook for Storing Wallets Only? on: January 27, 2018, 04:08:13 AM
Hi there.  Well the issue with the hardware wallet is that it only supports certain coins.  Yes it allows btc, eth but what if you have other coins that are not supported by it?  Because you would still need a computer to download those wallets right?  Thus if a hardware wallet allows almost all coins, then it would work etc.

Well most computers uses windows.
2975  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How long is shipping time from Ledgerwallet.com? on: January 27, 2018, 03:57:35 AM
Would you ever suggest buying one on amazon assuming the seller of it has a very good rating?
2976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell all to USDT when everything goes down ? on: January 27, 2018, 03:56:17 AM
Thats what i thought of it as well.  Because when you do that, that way you can buy more of the same altcoin?
2977  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Is Ledger Nano S REALLY SAFE ?? Best Hardware Wallet ? on: January 27, 2018, 03:51:34 AM
When exactly did you buy the ledger where you got it that quickly?  Where are you located?

So you would suggest not buying one on amazon.com then right?  So basically as long as you reset it, then its no problem no matter what?
2978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Separate Computer for Bitcoin/Financial Information vs Personal? on: January 27, 2018, 03:37:48 AM
I like to add to this.  If i were to get a separate computer to do things such as download porn/stream tv shows and sites etc... what would you recommend?  A regular laptop or a chromebook?

Also someone mentioned that even if you use a separate computer... if you were to use your regular internet connection, a virus could still get to your network?  For example on the laptop i mainly use, i would be using my own internet connection.  But with the separate computer, even if its a different computer and i download porn/visit dangerous sites etc but i use my own internet... then its possible to get hacked?  So i would need to use another internet connection to download porn/stream tv show and sports etc?
2979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chromebook for Storing Wallets Only? on: January 27, 2018, 03:26:50 AM
Would you guys say a chromebook is good to store bitcoin wallets and other altcoin wallets?  Or just get a small size computer with windows?
2980  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How long is shipping time from Ledgerwallet.com? on: January 26, 2018, 05:30:03 AM
