2961  Economy / Services / Re: Earn BTC while your computer runs. An alternate form of mining. on: December 06, 2013, 03:15:44 AM
More than one antivirus software on your computer is not healthy FYI.

Do not trust random software unless you can see the source code and compile it yourself!

The "set currency" button is a bit annoying. With the alert boxes... I suppose you're working on that?

Right, we may make a settings panel within a modal, not exactly sure yet though.

Bumpety-bump
2966  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Got this in my inbox... on: December 05, 2013, 01:19:15 PM
The link takes you to a clone site which tries to steal your username and password. Make sure you hit the "Report to Admin" button at the bottom right corner of the PM.

Thanks. Thought that link looked suspicious.

Then the link should be broken up via a "..." maybe so that it's not accidental clicked.

I enjoy trolling sites like that via a VM. Tongue
2967  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTCDevelop on: December 05, 2013, 12:12:05 PM
Nice works guys.

A couple of things you might want to change are:
  • The info over the graph is in the way a bit.
  • The time axis is just numbers no units and I think its backwards.

I was in the process of making something like this on google app engine but ended up not finishing it, so well done.

Top job.

Steve

Thanks.

The log at the bottom seems to be covering the horizontal axis

I'll reduce the size a little bit, it also depends on the size of your display due to the fact we set the console as a set amount of pixels instead of a percentage.
2968  Bitcoin / Project Development / BTCDevelop - 1st project, Live Bitcoin Ticker on: December 05, 2013, 01:48:31 AM
Here's BTCDevelop's first project, a live price ticker!

http://btcdevelop.com/

We currently only support Mt. Gox, but are hoping to incorporate others soon!

This project was developed by myself and whiskers75.

We're actively looking for new developers who would like to join the team!

Feel free to give us some constructive criticism, Thanks  Grin

Pretty nice! I like the variety of exchanges and the Litecoin support.

Is there any way to trade in USD? EUR bothers me.

Overall pretty awesome site so far!
2971  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Mailbit.io allows you to easily verify your ownership of a bitcoin wallet on: December 03, 2013, 06:47:07 PM
2. Apply a 'catch all' on the mailserver allowing you to basically email any user on @mailbit.io even if it wasn't created yet. So you can basically send an email to 13bdG3V2yrpnxkugVQ3Xzipmrbu5pmrDbg@mailbit.io with some content and when/if someone will ever register and validate that account he will be able to see the email you sent.
I can see this being exploited into using the site as a mailinator clone.

Yeah but no one can retrieve the info sent to 13bdG3V2yrpnxkugVQ3Xzipmrbu5pmrDbg@mailbit.io other than the owner of this wallet address 13bdG3V2yrpnxkugVQ3Xzipmrbu5pmrDbg.

Mailinator allows anyone to read the content of any email under @mailinator.com

Man, I really wish you had support for paper wallets without having to import the private key...

Not really sure how it could be done though.
2972  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Mailbit.io allows you to easily verify your ownership of a bitcoin wallet on: December 03, 2013, 05:29:00 PM
Much like the verification the process of signing a message with your private key provides, mailbit.io allows you to do the same in an easier way.

It creates a mailbox for you under the @mailbit.io domain so you can re-use the address without having to sign it over and over again using the private key.

Let me know if you have any ideas of how to improve this service.

More info here:

https://mailbit.io

The only problem I see is, how can this be done if you use a paper wallet.

You're right that is an issue.

In that case you will have to load it and send the verification coins but I'm guessing people would not want to do that Smiley

I wonder if you guys can make some kind of workaround for that.
2973  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Coingig.com Beta - The New Bitcoin Marketplace has Arrived on: December 03, 2013, 05:25:09 PM
Pretty awesome, it's crazy to see how much I can buy with my BTC  Shocked

I'm contemplating Google Glass, but I rather not get jumped walking down the street.

iv also had bad dealings with this user. bought a 50$ psn card from him. he then told me he was ordering it. then an hour later told me he just got home from work and is ordering it now and then that was the last response from him.

Do you have proof?
