http://vmctest.com

DO NOT PLACE ORDERS

Few notes:
-The support page is laid out but inoperative.
-Ordering through Coinbase does work.
-Pricing is not indicative of current prices.
-Footer is not fleshed out.
-Emails come through with HTML, since an SMTP mail server was not hooked up to it.

Built it in 3 weeks while home from work staying up to 4 am most nights.

Fully AJAX (quick loads, no page refreshes)

Looks nice, especially for $0 Grin

Now the desperate shareholders are freely creating sites and graphics because the ActiveMining team is too inept (did you see that bitcoin mining picture a few pages back)

This is so sad I don't understand how ken can do this to us.

This site is nice, please buy it off him ken.

(Don't worry I am a desperate shareholder too)
2962  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 11, 2013, 03:58:22 AM
Unless they are stupid I really wonder why they decided to solo mine, they could have been collecting revenue from the get go and the first dividend would be very nice. (Might not be a lot but its something)

With the hash rate increase solomining with 0.002% of network power seems like a bad idea.

There must be a reason.

pooled mining is easier to verify – everyone will be able to see the hashrate

Oh there it is.

We will have good news long before Christmas.  Wink

Is this sarcasm? Or do you really think the shares will recover because I am freaking out a lot about this company.

I am not joking.
Prove it.

Normally you seem reasonable but isn't that a bit harsh?

I would consider ActiveMining successful if they paid 30% a year in dividends (granted I paid too much for mine)

If we assume a share price of 0.005 and 30% a year then by March you would expect 5 months of hashing with the eAsic chips. This equals a dividend of 0.0015 per year or about 0.000615 by March.

0.003 by March would be 0.0073 per year in dividends and that would equal 146% per year at a share price of 0.005

So I think that bet is a little unrealistic.

Also if they paid 0.0073 a year in dividends we would expect the shares to be at least 0.02 in price.

EDIT: Just so its clear I don't think 0.0073 a year in dividends is going to happen and I don't think the price will ever get past 0.01. I am just trying to show how the bitbet is a little far fetched.

Someone just opened a support ticket offering DDoS protection, but 100 BTC seems a little expensive.

Are there any other service providers out there who can do the job for less?

Well see they are very stupid because this is only half what the gangsters offer.

The gangsters say pay up for protection, and once you pay they then will stop all other gangsters from screwing with you.

So for this to be worth any salt at all, they would have to be able to actually keep your site up against other attackers for that 100 btc fee. (Instead of just not attacking JD themselves)

See thats why the gangsters used to get their money (and maybe still do) its protection money because they would 1. stop attacking you and 2. stop others from doing the same.

gotyoubytheballs is only offering half the correct "protection" proposition.

In conclusion they are either very stupid or hoping that dooglus is very stupid.
2967  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 11, 2013, 02:26:08 AM
If Ken does not adopt the better website design and logo then it shows how fucked up this all is and how useless ActiveMining is.
2968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: September 10, 2013, 08:00:41 PM
I love current simple design, please don't change it Smiley

You don't think perhaps it could be made a little more modernish looking? have you tried letsdice, its really smooth.

Either way I hope our 1% edge retains our position as the dice site to gamble at Smiley
2969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: September 10, 2013, 07:47:23 PM
Hey Dooglus I think a more modern site design along the lines of letsdice should be considered.

I understand they have a higher edge and so justdice has a better proposition for gamblers, but whoever made letsdice is really aiming to take the market, it blows primedice out of the water too.

I have a bad feeling that pretty GUI will win over people. I love the rock solid feel of JD but this new site has been made really well.

What do you think?

This must be a joke.

So sad.

PS! Seriously ffssixtynine, you are yapping about topics way above you competence level and should stfu, before you make it worst than it is.

Ken -does- need to provide the accounts he promised monthly but he doesn't and shouldn't be providing most of the rest of that info. And if you want to talk competence, I've won 3 awards this year for business and just been nominated for best UK digital entrepreneur in my sector.

And this is where you hit my ignore list. Congratulations on making sure you don't get your few good points heard.

OMfG! He put me on his ignore list...  Cry  You understand, that this resolves nothing ans is as good as hiding your head under the sand. Keep clicking that "Show/Hide" button. Wink

"digital entrepreneur in my sector" what dose it even mean? Selling large furry buttons on your web site?
Pretty sure if this was run like any other public company and not "special" because of bitcoins he would have to follow some standard discloser rules... and until he acts like he runs a mature company, he wont get any of my money.

He doesn't get any more money from shares, his got all the money he needs. Buying shares goes to a random stranger.

I thought coinjoin was a better way to do this? As a natural mixer I really like the idea of coinjoin.
2973  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] CasinoBitco.in (CBTC) IPO Official Thread on: September 10, 2013, 04:08:42 PM
sigh havelock crashed couldnt buy anything.
maybe labcoin way of dealing with it wasnt that bad afterall, letting everyone get some shares at least, not just the lucky few that got trough on the exchange.

I got some shares just now on havelock for casinobitco.in but I agree with you, the way Labcoin did it was really good.

Up to date summary schedule AFAIK:

Current
PCIE/USB boards for eAsic chips under development by specialized engineering firm
R&D on chip hashing/power improvements until metal layer sign off is needed

Scheduled
October: Sample chips & Low-volume process
Mid-November: High-volume process and Customer delivery (from mid-november onwards)

Unknown
Awaiting Avalon delivery for Klondikes

(the 20k avalon chips were cancelled)

Also, as a reminder, the first 0.0025 of shares will be repaid in full before ActiveMining take out any profit.

To be more exact, is ActiveMining essentially creating their own chips in the same way Labcoin and ASICMINER are?

We aren't doing an IceDrill and buying chips from another company?
2976  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 10, 2013, 12:49:43 PM
Lol, np and yeah. The other I'm not too sure about. I only became interested in ActM shortly before the .008 spike.

On a time scale up to December what do you think the chances are the price will go above 0.007?
2977  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 10, 2013, 12:42:05 PM
Are you kidding? How much do you know about the current state of Avalon and their shipments?

Who are you replying to?

You! It was literally the line above the one you quoted.

  • An order of 20,000 Avalon chips (end of May and beginging of June orders), for a combined hashrate of 20,000*282 = 5,640 GH/s.

Oh thanks, so this was expected hash rate from Avalon chips not our own?

Have they always expected November for our own chips?

In total, around 6,377 GH/s, expected to be fully operational in the middle of August.

What happened to this 6TH/s?
2980  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 10, 2013, 12:34:55 PM
Well this security has lost so much money for me. I have no one to blame but myself.

Any ideas where this security will end up? Or are the prices we are seeing now the highest they will ever be?
