2981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So USDT is what's keeping TRX alive? on: December 03, 2022, 08:08:37 PM

USDT has been entangled in bad rumors for years, and I wouldn't be surprised if USDT suddenly collapses one day. No matter how painful the market is, we will eventually recover, it's like other altcoins in the market, it is not the brains of the market but only a tiny part of the market.
Well i guess we get an answer to that in any day now as tether gets fully audited

Not only you but we all use Trx for the sole reason of USDT, but those who use Binance may be changing their habits. Likely in the future, CZ will also remove USDT from Binance as he did with other stablecoins this year and look to promote BUSD.
He would be only lose by doing that, usdt is minted on BSC as well and that's the only chain i am using it with. IF USDT would be removed from binance people would just change to exchanges where you could trade against usdt pairs. It would be like removing eth to promote bnb.
2982  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: December 03, 2022, 07:59:56 PM
Elon has also been pretty vocal that he thinks we're headed into a dangerous recession.  I think the yield curve would tend to agree with him.  Crypto is going to have a difficult time over the next year as the Fed realizes that it's going to cause an economic collapse if it doesn't pivot and begin lowering rates.  We've seen this all play out before.  I think the Fed is hoping that inflation keeps assets high enough that we avoid cascading liquidations among the big firms, which would be the difference between now and 2008, but the Fed rarely ever gets it right.  Cash will be King shortly I feel, but once this recession is digested I think we're all hoping for another bull run.
Yep, just like he didn't realize that BTC very much follows the stock markets. I think he is confused it with gold as that's the one that has negative correlation against stock market. But then again he talks what ever his fanbois want to hear so that he can enjoy the spotlight so he could be just out right lying.

2983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins safe? on: December 03, 2022, 01:02:19 PM
It is difficult to call it a stablecoin, since its value is tied not to the fiat dollar, but to the value of gold. And given the fact that the value of gold is as volatile as the value of bitcoin, the price of Gold will not be constant against the dollar and, accordingly, will not be able to save you money.

Well there are other stable coins tied to different fiat currencies then USD and gold has been pretty stable and holds value better then Fiat money in a long run so i don't see problems calling tokens that are backed by it stablecoins. As long as they indeed are 100% backed by it.
2984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: December 03, 2022, 10:16:34 AM
If you don't care about freedom, regulation is definitely a good thing and I also somewhat support the regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies.
Regulations aren't that black and white and it all depends what you see as "freedom".
"Freedom" to scam people isn't really something most people in this space wants.
"Freedom" as you don't have to pay taxes and that you can launder money freely isn't what most people want either.

But I am afraid they will manage us more than we think, what I fear the most is not the privacy they can stop the hype of the projects, which means we will no longer see projects that can be x100 or x1000. It would be a pity if it happened.
Oh, they will manage way more then people thought, but not for the same reasons people thought. It's funny, most of the new laws are public knowledge and you can follow where things are going just by following news. It's not all nefarious.

But regulations or privacy have zero to do with 1000x gains unless you are talking about pump & dump schemes.

And am just curious if this won't affect the person in times to come
Other countries have restrictions for kids to gamble for a good reason.
Their brains aren't developed enough for being responsible for most decisions, especially for any financial decisions involving addictive games. Those are hard for some adults too mut they are at least legally responsible for their actions.
2986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So USDT is what's keeping TRX alive? on: December 02, 2022, 10:06:26 PM
If USDT fails in future wouldn't TRX be the most affected? I said this because I don't see any other reasons why TRX is doing so well if not for a lesser gas fee/transaction when dealing with USDT.

Am I wrong? Is there any other good reason to use TRX ( TRON )?
If usdt would fail, trx would be over, but frankly so would crypto as we know it. Prices would crash like nothing we seen before and recovery from that would take years. It would be longest bear run we ever had.

But about trx: Sending cheap usdt between exchanges is the only reason i have used it and funny enough only selling point from trx fanbois. I moved to BSC usdt long time ago and haven't looked back.
2987  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 02, 2022, 06:29:21 PM
Be as quick as possible, usually bonus drop is fully claimed in a minute only.
The current bonus drop is a bit unique as we need to add more letter(s) in front or after the code given by Stake, means that copy and paste one time is not enough now.
I managed to claim 2 codes today as well as yesterday, means that I have received $20 but as usual it goes back to the house quick.  Grin
Minute with phone and i would just panic with that palm sized screen and mess up that cut and paste before i even got to right tab. So i am hoping it happens during work time as i am in front of the really fast computer with multiple monitors whole time. I'll just leave stake open on one screen under my work window and i'll be fine. $20 is money too, even if i lose it to house.
2988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you guys think dash2trade is a worthwhile project to invest in? on: December 02, 2022, 06:09:25 PM
Recently, I found dash2trader on coinsniper. The project seems to have good support, and the attention on twitter is about 42K. The time to create an account is not very long. At present, the project is mainly used as a monitoring platform to provide strategic support for investors in the pre-sale stage. The community on telegram would like to invite everyone to discuss whether it is worth investing in. The official website is https://dash2trade.com/
The fact it has attention to twitter at this point is a bad sign in overall. It either means that people are paid to tweet about it and are about to sell their reward tokens as soon as they can, or there are more people looking for referrals or people are desperate to create hype so they can sell their tokens once they are in the free market.

Also as a rule of thumb: anyone who funds their project trough lbank and bitmart are new in here and don't know what they are doing.

And then there is this: Scam accusation link

The point about Nato countries welcoming other countries into Nato is, if the US wants to be honest, and uphold their agreement with Russia to not advance Nato,
-cut-
You gotta be kidding, there are no deals with russia worth making now. You know, against the country who invades, destroys and rapes.
The whole point of Russia's governrment at the moment is having war against everyone, not just by military but with spreading misinformation and literal FUD.
They don't have basic human rights or democracy so they want to believe no one else has those ideals either so they believe it's all a scam against them, so they continue to sabotage everything that even remotely seems humanitarian ideology. That country seems to be beyond recovery and sadly even new leadership probably wouldn't remove the corruption inside it for decades because that's so deeply rooted.
2990  Economy / Economics / Re: EU Moving to Ban Privacy Coins: Report on: December 02, 2022, 04:11:22 PM
If money laundering are their main motivation behind this, then they will have to force (FIAT) Banks to close their doors. Most money laundering are still being done through the Banking system.  Roll Eyes

Yes, "Privacy" coins offer huge opportunities for people to use it for criminal activities, but is the same not applicable to cash? How many drug transactions on the street are done with "Privacy" coins, compared to cash.... how does that cash get into the financial system? (Registered businesses are used to launder money through the Banking system)  Tongue
You are only paying attention to this as travel rule affects to Crypto too. Of course it will affect to all banks as well when the whole point is to make money laundering more difficult.
This is just a part of targeted update for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs), but honestly, everyone who paid attention to fatf saw this coming years ago as privacy coins were against fatf travel rule.
2991  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would Twitter go after its takeover by Elon Musk ? on: December 02, 2022, 12:03:54 PM
Frankly Elon's plan to make Twitter a freedom of speech platform is sorely failing because he's proving that free speech at all costs is a dangerous fantasy.

The plan to revive banned accounts has been on and on but it seems there's still some secret suspension of accounts going on. Take Kanye (Ye) account for instance. I thought by now there'd be no banning or suspending?
Well these "muh freedom of speech" people including Elon Musk didn't know that Twitter already had tried hard core free speech but at some point it comes to the point where the platform is enabling criminal activity and there's no way old or new twitter take that risk financiallty. People give Elon way too much credit of having any kind of plan. He just likes to talk big and hope someone will do what he says when he pays enough for him.

Also there's no backers with Ye any more, he has outcrazied Alex Jones and that's something like from guiness book of records.

I guess this answers all your questions except statistics. There is no statistics currently. But if you google previous year draw, or search here in Duelbits topic, you might be able to find at least some statistical data, to get more clear picture of this competition. Good Luck anyway.
-cut-
Thanks. OP answered to this too after you and they didn't mention statistics either, which seems weird. I know i am not technically just buying tickets but in every raffle i've been on i have seen how many tickets i am competing against.

And if i am not totally wrong they would be legally obligated to provide, if not total amount of tickets, at least constantly updating number of circulated amount of tickets. That's what others have done anyway. Maybe they are building that feature at the moment of writing this.
2993  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis and Charting on: December 02, 2022, 11:13:46 AM
Some do even believed with those professional and experienced traders which they are just also speculators of this market where there's no assurance that their signals and analysis have higher precision that with those typical traders we do have in the market.
We know that it could neither be technical or fundamental which it is available for you to make use.Its someones choice on which one they would really be focusing into.
-cut-
Bare it up on your mind that this isnt always effective nor precise and this is why risk taking or management does really play a great role when it comes into these situations.
It all matters into you on what you should gonna use, you could neither both use of things as long it would be relevant into your analysis but dont expect that precision would be always high.
-cut-
Obviously they big players are mostly looking at same things as educated "normal" laptop traders, but with very much faster response time, having customised bots grawling trough blockchain data, analysing news and rumors, trends and still they are mostly gambling with it, with an edge to people who don't have these tools in hand. Normie laptop traders eventually get this info too, and it's unlikely that they wouldn't gain from that too. They don't have to buy bottom or sell the top do do so.

Even if they have 52 % changes to win, trading is a game worth playing, just like the edge card counters get in back jack makes it worth their time even if they lose high % of the time. And unlike in black jack, you don't lose everything when you lose, so it's way more profitable then gambling.

Don't forget everyone.

Turn-on notification on Stake Telegram Channel! Christmas code has been share every day, which not bad today I got 2 claim = 10$ and still continue. Remember to follow these promotion, you need to wager minimum 5,000/weeks

Good luck.
I didn't have a clue that i could get real money from those. And by real money i mean $5, not $0.002 like from boxes in some other places. So how fast i need to be to redeem until they get fully claimed? I have opened a tab with redeem page ready and hope i'll get a notification while i am working at my laptop but i am skeptic how fast i can do it while working. $5000/week wagering is a good filter for bots, but it still might go fast.

I almost took the bait and tried to follow your logic, but then i visited your telegram channel that you rage quitted and read your post history...

And after seeing that i rather not indulge your behavior any longer as you clearly went off meds at some point or you are having a complete mental breakdown. Mental health is no joke to me so i hope you get help before you act in a way that totally destroys your reputation and career.

I mean i don't have resources to help you, but you can still recover from this by seeking professional help, it won't be easy but i believe in you. Take care.
2996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: December 01, 2022, 09:28:12 PM
The interesting thing, as someone who disliked Trump all his presidency, he sucks and he is bad and I still dislike him but I also come to realization that there aren't any "huge" differences with others neither.

And that is a trouble, if you look at who could be the candidates from the republican side, they all suck, still most have a better face for it, like they are kinder when they talk usually but then go about and do the same thing, so the end result is always the same, and for democrats Biden is kinder and nicer person but then goes and does the same thing mostly. Which means, Trump or someone else, we will have people who will do the same thing, but be nicer about it, and be kinder to people while doing it, not much change in the end result though.

One thing Trump could do that others wouldn't is to quit ties with NATO. As he alreasy haa threaten to do so. This could lead to full blown war with Europe and Russia that would spread like a wild fire towards ww3. I am not even kidding, i know people like to use ww3 as a cliche scare tactic, but this war would in a whole different scale, like something we haven't ever seen before.

I am not sure if his voters care as lot's of them wouldn't understand that it would very much affect them.

However i can't see this affecting betting ratios.

Unless he's aiming to portray himself as utterly incompetent therefore not subject to any criminal liability, there is no benefit to talking to the media.
Amazes me that this person was trusted with billions of funds. If the ignorance route is the legal strategy for SBF, he'll have to convince a lot of people of his utter stupidity and ignorance to have not known that user deposits were being used fraudulently. As if anyone is dumb enough to believe it.
That would be actually most viable tactic at this point. That would mean we would hear even more insane and immature things from behind the curtains as everything that makes hims seem incompetent.

Come to think of it, maybe this has been a plan for a long time now. That would explain so much of his statements and reactions. Remember CZ saying that Sam is tweeting like a psychopath? This could have all just been his way of acting like a lunatic.
2998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 01, 2022, 05:23:08 PM
Current method is good enough until better technology comes along, and that's not far away. I am pretty sure that next one will be Zero Knowledge -based confirmation system where casinos and regulators know it's me without me revealing any information or scanning my passports etc that might get stolen and leaked. Which in my case has probably already happened as i gave my ids in the past a lot without considering the consequences.

If the question is that do we need KYC at all, then the answer is that it isn't something we get to control.
2999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: December 01, 2022, 02:13:18 PM
With ever passing day, Biden is resembling more and more like a walking corpse. There are conspiracy theories that claim that the original plan from the Democrats was to replace him mid-way through his term with Kamala Harris. But that would be another disaster, given her radical left-wing agenda. For 2024, IMO it would be again Biden vs Trump. Kamala is still unpalatable for the vast majority of the independent voters. And by then Biden will be 81 years old and Trump would be 78 years old. I sincerely hope that the GOP would rather nominate Ron DeSantis.
This "Radical-left" ranting is so funny to hear from Finnish point of view, to which Kamala Harris and almost every american candinate is more or less right wing.

I don't personally like Kamala Harris but i see her having way more realistic changes then my favourite (Pete Buttigieg) so if i would bet for democrats, it would be Kamala. But looking from here it seems obvious that Ron DeSantis wins.

All you need to do is wager 100 coins ($100) on a single day, and you’ll get rewarded with a ticket to the Prize Draw.
-cut-
As i can't read the rules without registering i suppose so i am asking here:

Is that wagering happening in casino, sports betting or both?
When is the last day and time to participate?
Do i get more tickets if i wager with more then just $100?
Can i see statistics on how many tickets are in the raffle before joining in?
