2981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple Pay vs Bitcoins on: October 07, 2016, 02:33:57 PM
When you go into a store and want to buy goods. You can either wave your apple watch og iphone at a terminal at the register. It will take you around - 3 seconds.

Or you can pull out your smartphone. Log into your wallet. Scan someones 2D bitcoin code. Send them some bitcoins, wait for the transaction to be verified, and then take your goods and go.. total time 10mins +

Can someone tell me how bitcoins will ever stand a chance?

1) the apple method thingy is not available in all countries but you can pay with bitcoin anywhere in the world with no restriction whatsoever.

2) apple watch is ~$350+ but you can buy a smart phone (for bitcoin payment) with half that price maybe even a lot less

3) payment with bitcoin will also take 3 seconds or less. and you don't have to wait for confirmation.

4) the only thing that seems to be good about apple pay is the no fee policy (which i am only quoting from my search not personal experience!)
2982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you use a bot for trading? on: October 07, 2016, 02:17:14 PM
i do my trades as long term buy and sells meaning i go to my exchanger and open some orders to buy at a price that i have decided is good for me to buy at and then set a price in mind to sell and i either open sell orders before or at the time price reaches that point.
so i don't really feel the need for bots.

but i have been looking around for a good bot preferably free and open source or at least cheap but good. sadly i have not found one yet.
2983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like Ethereum will be hard forked... again. on: October 07, 2016, 02:09:48 PM
this is what you get when you make a poorly coded altcoin and hype it up. i read somewhere that Ethereum is starting to look like swiss cheese! now i am starting to understand what it really meant!

i wonder what the new old fork is going to be called this time. maybe Ethereum Legacy
2984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you believe banks will work with Bitcoin, you're delusional on: October 07, 2016, 02:03:14 PM
there are 3 different things happening that you should know the difference about before saying it will or will not happen:

1) banks creating their own blockchain using bitcoin (blockchain) technology.

2) banks adapting their systems with bitcoin and use bitcoin instead of fiat or instead keep the people's wallets safe and encrypted in their vault.

3) banks start accepting bitcoin just like fiat and as others have mentioned something like what coinbase is doing.

i believe all of the above can happen and each of them will be a different service giving the banks a different type of revenue because they receive money for the service they offer.
2985  Other / Off-topic / Re: use Bitcoin in daily life? on: October 07, 2016, 01:55:13 PM
I don't use bitcoin either to buy something or for buying online goods but i just do holding for future so that when the price i bitcoin Errol rose up then i could sell and make some extra money out of it.
Well  if you are investing your money in buying bitcoins then you can surely hold them for future to make profits from it but if you are earning it then you can spend them sometimes online as you always have an opportunity to earn it again.

one of the issues that i have is not about profit nor earning but about where to spend the coins! so far i have only spent bitcoin on small stuff online like games and such but as a daily use, i never had the chance to do it.
2986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A month of bearish altcoin market? Why? on: October 06, 2016, 04:36:00 PM
these periods of all red on the market happen all the time. if you follow the market for long term you see this especially when you open coinmarketcap.com

and in my opinion most of these reds are because of the pumps. what we see right now is the phase after the pump. take XMR for example it was pumped to 0.018+ and now it is slowly coming back down as everybody is cashing out.
2987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many Alts do you expect to survive long term? on: October 06, 2016, 04:29:06 PM
how about just one..litecoin

lol that is very naive form you, you mean bitcoin? litecoin is doomed no matter what project they bring , because its too old and no one care anymore, it's only good as a pump and dump, i'll buy each time there is an halving incoming there and that's it

bitcoin is obviously the only thing that has the highest chance of survival and with a big difference than the second top.

i am not a litecoin supporter but i don't think it is doomed at all. only because it has been surviving all these years and the survival was not like other altcoins from prices like 0.01 to 0.0000001 it has actually been pretty stable around 0.0055-0.008BTC for most of its lifetime.
2988  Other / Off-topic / Re: What can i do with 3 Bitcoin? on: October 06, 2016, 04:11:39 PM
The amount makes that an easy one.  I always tell people to diversify and you actually have 3 coins.  Use one for trading, make up your own “fund”, some strong coins, some growth coins and trade back and forth on spec coins.  Use another 1 BTC for loaning.

lending is a super risky job and if you want to do it right (meaning accepting valid collaterals, checking the history of the person who asks for the loan and ...) it takes a very long time. and besides the market is filled with other people lending so i don't really think there is any room for anybody new to come in and start lending.
2989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Presidential election on: October 06, 2016, 04:05:25 PM
in my experience if we hype it enough then it will certainly have big effect on bitcoin price no matter who wins. most of the times this has been working out well for bitcoin, everytime there is a major event like Greece economy going down the tube, Brexit,... there is a hype and for no reason price goes up!

i was just watching Graham Norton show Cheesy
2990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You accidentally find Satoshi.....What would you do? on: October 06, 2016, 03:57:49 PM
I'd tempt him to sleep with me and in the hot night's air I'd ask him how he could be anonymous for such a long time until I found him. After that, I'd ask him why he let me find him. Probably, I could learn so much from him and then help him develop Bitcoin further.

My god, this thread is turning weird.

what else did you expect?

any topic about satoshi is an subject that has been talked about numerous times and apart from that, subjects like this containing "what if" followed by a super hypothetical question are begging this kind of reply too.

i say this is the best reply so far Cheesy
2991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: can you trade forex without technical analysis? on: October 05, 2016, 12:28:45 PM
the best answer that i can come up with based on my little experience in the field is:
trading Forex without technical analysis is like driving a car with a flat tire!
it is possible but you will be slow and controlling the movement is hard.

the same thing is true about trading Forex or even trading in general. if you don't know anything about technical analysis you can still make some trades based on your "feeling of the market" but that is far from success.
2992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Brave' browser starts paying bitcoins on: October 05, 2016, 12:20:49 PM
Interesting idea pay with BTC to remove ads.
But why people would pay for removing ads when they will basically achieve the same goal while using other browser with ADBlock addon?
This ways they won't have to pay anything. If Brave works like this then I see no incentivize to use it just because they are different.

if you read the previous comments and if you also pay a visit to the developer's site you can see that this is only optional to pay the sites for supporting them not for removal of ads. the removal is another story.

the adblock is actually present in this browser and it is supposed to be so much stronger than any other ad-ons currently available for Firefox and Chrome.

2996  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you always missed the right time to sell/buy bitcoin? on: October 01, 2016, 12:17:15 PM
No i never missed the right time to sell or buy bitcoin because i am very active user of bitcoin and when price go to down i buy bitcoin in huge amount and then hold it for high price and when price rise up to huge value and i sell my bitcoin with actively.

Wow you mean you are 24 hours awake? I doubt that. Everyone here will miss something with every movement of it. We need to sleep and bitcoin wont. Even a dollar movement as I am typing now I already missed it.
May if he are never going to the toilet, or he just get a lucky every opening the market and get the gold moment at the time.i'm not sure someone is can awake for 24 hours in front of the desktop.
if we give maximum time to market or exchange and never waste our double time in toilet as you then i am sure no one never missed the right time to buy or sell bitcoin so lets focus on exchange nor a toilet then everyone get a good time to buy or sell bitcoin Grin.

if you do that i am sure you will miss your eyes when they stop working after a week of staring at a monitor!

you have to start learning how to take up positions and leave some open orders instead and take the profit that satisfies you and be satisfied with it even if the price went up a lot more.
2997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: price altcoin on: October 01, 2016, 12:11:54 PM
Valar Morgules, All coins must die!

but seriously, almost all of the altcoins that you see in this market like i can even say 95% of them are only pump and dump coins which are going to die slowly. the bigger ones like ether will take a longer time and smaller ones like vox take a short time to die but they all die eventually because they serve their purpose.
2998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DASH,ETH,LTC and DOGE on: October 01, 2016, 12:07:22 PM
only litecoin from your list is an stable altcoin with a good return to invest in and nothing else. the rest are not such good investments doge is bad and dying, an ethereum is in a big bubble right now and it is about to burst and go down so it is super risky.

besides you can check the charts yourself in a year to see which one is more stable and which is more volatile in short term.

2999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: October 01, 2016, 12:03:14 PM
My reason to gamble is profit
sometimes only for fun too, if I want to play it for fun I bet a small of amount.

Winning against the house is very difficult. So you can win bit by bit but in the long run, you will still end up losing. Are you able to afford the losses when the time comes?
It is really risky although their are still lucky persons that is winning in the end when they play gambling. They wanted to get more money and they are really lucky to get what they want, but still they are really persons that luck is not enough for them to win. I don't why many people are really losing in gambling than winning.

in some games you only need luck to win and nothing else in the world can help you to change this fact .

but also at the same time in some other games you need luck plus some skills to win . for example there is no way in hell you can win in sports betting consistently without having any skills in the game yourself.
3000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling made for kids???? on: October 01, 2016, 11:57:53 AM
No, Gambling is not for a kids. Only a stupid parents who allow their son/daughter to gambling. The world must be crazy.
Yes, parents should be the one who discipline their children, their should be a role model for their children and not to teach them to play gambling. Because it can never help them.
If a parent are a irresponsible gamblers they would influence there kids to gamble even at a minor age because they think when a kid learn to gamble at the very young age, that was cool, but in reality they are making a monster in the future.

if a parent is a degenerate gambling addict their kids will never go for gambling ever. because simply as it was said it would be their role model and they can see how bad and destructive gambling addiction can really be.
