2981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap faking volume on: September 14, 2019, 03:14:45 AM
CMC must make a move very soon indeed otherwise people might leaving them.

There was already a series of news that CMC is aware of the problem and they are trying to solve it.

From the last: https://blog.coinmarketcap.com/2019/08/30/updated-ranking-methodology-new-liquidity-metric-soon/
Quote
Liquidity-based metrics will be launched on November 12, 2019
...
Ultimately, this liquidity metric will factor into market pairs, and will be combined with other metrics that will go into the ranking of exchanges and projects. We are continuing to refine this based on feedback, and welcome more of your thoughts too.

So, they are working on it.

And I don’t think the problem is so serious as to leave the CMC.
In the end, each active cryptouser should be able to distinguish between the fake volumes from the real ones, at least based on liquidity.
The issue have been reported since early 2019 ... I don't know if cmc learn thoroughly since then. They just make an announcement regarding this last week indeed and we can see now that the exchange ranking changed quite significant than before and the metrics it seems still in beta.

Not a fast move but we can see there's a good gesture over there.

Of course it's critical to put a lie statistics on top whether it's intended or not... people become more and more smart these days  Grin
2982  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Blockchain trigger a massive boost in our economy? on: September 14, 2019, 02:48:23 AM
Blockchain may increase some transparency in government but that is a big if, I doubt it will ever happen, think about it these people literally make billions of dollars combined from screwing the public and making a profit for themselves. There is no way we can convince those people to use blockchain and make everything paper thin so we can see it as well and know where our money goes, from you paying your taxes to where that money ends up, you can literally keep track of everything, they can't let that happen.

However, if we assume just for fun, then we are talking about billions of dollars of corruption all going back to people and eventually taxes will go down and services will go up, you will both pay less and still get more in return of your less taxes. That would boost the economy like crazy.
The fact that banks services would not needed anymore whenever blockchain system used widely around the world ... they (government and banks) will never ever let the blockchain ecosystem become mainstream.

Blockchain save us a lot of expenses including fee here and there due it cuts the middleman service.

Of course it's the most fair system and could bring a massive boost in our economy widely ... but banks and government really love to make money out of us , monetizing everything. What world are we living in daaaamn! Disgusting.
2983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: September 13, 2019, 04:37:14 PM
You can call yourself as a professional gambler or whatever who make a living out of it successfully for years ... until the time where you lost everything because of gambling come.

Yesss it's a very rare case when someone live out of gambling forever! It's sounds impossible for some people.
At some point you can have a different way to describe this 'live out of gambling'  but A wise action is the needed ... here's the scenario.

once you hit big and you think it's enough to have a good life for years and start a legit business , you have to leave gambling world forever and forget it so you won't wasting / risking your money anymore to gamble.
Then you are living well because of gambling now.

I hate security check, I hate withdrawal manual checking ... although it is intended to protect both sides between the customer and company ... at some point you will always feel disappointed/ pissed off waiting.

When the 2FA activated ... instant withdrawal shouldn't be a problem at all , and regarding the ip address changes ... how if you guys implement a security login whenever user logged in with different ip address.. it requires email confirmation or so.

Also to prevent bonus abuser playing - won - can't withdraw cycle .. what if you guys simply block/freeze them before they even play. So you won't bother with such annoying complaints.
Yeah, withdrawals have always been a troubling issue in crypto casinos. Not just here, aside from maybe primedice all places I have ever seen had issues with it because people may abuse it and that is why casinos has to check it and that creates a ton of issues.

You can't just let the people withdraw automatically, that way they can abuse you and you will learn about it waaaay after they abused you, it would take a lot of bitcoins for you to realize that, people could fly under the radar by stealing very tiny amounts but constantly do it and increase it over time. That is why it makes sense for casinos to check every single one of your withdrawals, however that also means people who do nothing wrong will be put into pressure about their withdrawals for no reason at all. It is a very sticky at both ends issue.
Yuppp Makes sense , can't blame the casino system for doing so ... can't blame the players who babbling about the withdrawal issue neither even they claimed do nothing.

One thing could make this a fair thing for both  ... speed up the process! Every process.

The more delayed process, the more people losing trust in casino . Hard to find a win-win solution for this indeed.
2986  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is gain or loss? on: September 13, 2019, 03:00:09 PM
I am a BTC holder. Some People said BTC is going down to $1000!! Is it true? So what can i do sell all BTC or hold it anyone know?  Cry

do you read any news related to bitcoin?

Bitcoin Block Reward Halving Countdown

Bakkt Announces Sept. 23 Launch of Futures and Custody Platform in US

VanEck, SolidX to Offer Limited Bitcoin ETF for Institutions Via Exemption

Do you think with these events, the price would drop to $1000? of course will not fall to $1000

Litecoin hash rate continue decreasing after the halving day happened last month ... there's speculation that the miners leaving litecoin .

hmmm with this case I think it's shows us about how a post-halving did not always ended up with price appreciation,  there's a dark side behind halving so be careful.

Of course if you think it's too early to judge considering it's only around 30 days after the litecoin halving... fair to say that.

Playing with news/ media sometimes really dangerous, it could be a boomerang. There's no sure thing in a free market like crypto. Everyone should educate themselves otherwise things could went wrong.
2987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF Trump via Executive Order Banned Bitcoin, what are consequences if any? on: September 13, 2019, 10:12:52 AM
Well, the immediate affect would be a massive dumping of coins, because most speculators react quickly on any negative news that might affect their investment. The price will drop with almost 80% again, until people realize that they can still "hoard" bitcoins and use them in other countries where Bitcoin is not banned.

It will also spark new black market markets and platforms to buy and sell bitcoins for the Americans and people will just resort to illegal means to protect their wealth. <The same thing happened with Gold when it was made illegal to own it and also with the Prohibition with alcohol.>

The result of a ban for the USA, will be less tax income and also less Bitcoin tourists and more people taking bitcoins out of the country to use it in countries where it is legal.  Wink  (There will also be significant job losses, because there are MANY people employed in Bitcoin businesses now.)  Wink
No matter the way they order through executive to ban bitcoin  ... the result would'nt much affected cryptocurrency especially bitcoin in the long term, the cryptocurrency ecosystem been built too strong and nobody/ institutions can break it down to the dust easily.

I would glad to follow the dumping till the last dip if this scenario happened, as everyone else speculated and predicted here ... about it will only become a shock therapy temporarily.

Won't be a serious threat for me , it's become an opportunity instead Grin
2988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 12, 2019, 01:03:51 PM
A few years ago, I lost a lot of money in the dice. I tried to play by Martingale's strategy with a minimum bet and saw good results. But when I increased the initial bet I got 8 times in a row "no". My money was just not enough for the next bet.

After that, I don't gamble very often, but if I do, then before the game, I determine exactly how much I can afford to lose.

That's the correct mindset.

Too many people think they can simply keep doubling up until they eventually get the hand they want. However, they'll soon reach a point where they can't afford to double up again and will be faced with the decision whether to keep going or accept your losses and stop. The bigger man will be able to know when to call it a day, whereas the problem gambler will continue.

Remember guys, gambling should be for fun, not profit. If you think you'll get rich gambling, think again.
There's actually two type of gambler:

1. Those who love to play no matter what the result ... they are happy doing so

2. Those who looking for profit in the long run , I doubt you can do it in casino but possibly sportsbetting have better chance.

The OP story show us how his friend gamble for entertainment and doesn't even care how much he have lost in the past , the most important for him is that time when he won a 300x jackpot , fair enough for those who looking for entertainment in gambling.

But not for those who looking for profit , they would of course calculate everything.

Getting close to 24 hours for security check of my small withdrawal. To be honest I'm so confused why my last withdrawal needs security check while I made some other withdrawals (even bigger amount) during the week but all were processed without any security checks. I deposited, played, and requested the withdrawal like what I did on the previous withdrawals so I think there is no needs for security check because I believe there is nothing to be checked. Even if there is something to check, I dont think it will take too much hours. Or maybe it is because of weekend so you guys dont have enough time to do it fast? Hope to get my withdrawal as soon as possible.
I hate security check, I hate withdrawal manual checking ... although it is intended to protect both sides between the customer and company ... at some point you will always feel disappointed/ pissed off waiting.

2990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Im sick and tired of this Bitcoin on: September 11, 2019, 11:00:05 PM
Not all of the time, it's good or green in the market, I hope you're aware of that status.

It's hard to trade especially when Bitcoin is not stable. If you're trying to make it as your job, it will be more difficult for you to make income.

Take the risk if you want to get a lot of profits. In doing investment it's hard because you don't have any ideas if it is will work good or not, but the point is you need to choose wisely in every investment you do so you will not regret later because Bitcoin is unpredictable you must keep fighting until you reach success for it.
Honestly speaking, Bitcoin is really a good thing for us and will make us more profit but we need higher knowledge to make a good use of it. Risking is already part of our life and every situation we're facing, if you wanted to earn a profit, you must risk.
People should aware about how cryptocurrency works it is on a high risk investment level especially if you are newcomer and straight to expect gaining 200% or 1000% overnight.

Sometimes it's just about timing ... and the right timing requires a really long and deep analysis , not happening just like blinking your eyes.

This is just another way to Express your frustration... having a bad day , bad year and blame everything on bitcoin all at once. Be realistic and learn before making any move. If you can't hold bitcoin for 5 years then you can't even hold it for 5 minutes , you are not meant to be here.
2991  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: September 11, 2019, 04:21:44 PM
hi steve!

now i dont have a 'high end' phone but it is an average android, i dont have another phone to check with so i just want to ask you (and other people on this thread).. is the sportsbet.io site on phone really laggy ? like the home page doesnt respond properly always and its really a hassle to bet live on it. i assume due to the tons of live matches odds it shows on the HOMe page hence the need for the updating of odds which makes it  a really heavy page?

again could be entirely my phone fault but i have not had any issue with any other site so just wana enquire/complain/suggest this about the mobile site

I sometimes use my iPhone to access sportsbet.io & it’s not slow for me, bro. It’s runs quite quickly & the layout is fine, you can scroll through events & odds easily & see everything you need to see.

I’m unsure if it’d be any worse on android but I doubt it. Should be fine if you connect to a good wifi connection.
Sportsbet.io a bit slow to load on a low-end phone, i've made a comparison since one of my friend complaining the same thing like this ...

But as time goes by i think even with a phone with 3GB ram sportsbet.io on google chrome seems to be more faster lately ( this is my friend's case ) and also a slow internet connection could make it worse .

The layout is indeed awesome but i can still feel the lag when i'm tring to make 10 or more multibet on mobile even with my samsung high-end phone and 100mbps internet connection.
2992  Economy / Economics / Re: Average savings across the globe on: September 11, 2019, 03:02:15 PM
Some people don't save although they live a simple life. Many people in the world find it very difficult to eat more than once a day due to poverty. Imagine if you are to be in such situation how can you use save for the future. Eventually, the few money you would gain would be used to cover basic needs your family needs.
Couldn't agree more with you, at some places people struggle to even survive living the life , never crossed in their mind to save money cause yeah they have not any / nothing left.

But here's actually the concept of saving itself is not like these :

You can buy a luxury car with $1,000 back in 1900 ...
Can you imagine if you do save that $1,000 and spend it later today ? Yes you can buy an average bicycle Cheesy

Saving is not just about keeping money these days , practically it should be about putting money into something that could protect you from inflation ..... and the perfect form of this is cryptocurrency for me personally.

How many times have you gone against the crowd and smiled to the bank
Countless times. One occasion I remember is placing a bet of 20/1 odd, won it which I never thought LOL

Quote
Last week Saturday was a Turing point for me as I refused to bet with majority(31-8-2019) and placed a draw on the match between osasuna and FC Barcelona. Most people would see it as an unwise decision but that's soccer the foolish thing can turn out to be wise.
In gambling you can only tell a pick is wise of fool after the result of your bet. A sure win type market with an odd even with 1.01 can go wrong and opponent can win from there.
Countless of course so do I... besides it's really my style to bet against the odds, put small amount of money and targetting a huge amount in return ... that's provide you a real entertainment rather than put a huge amount of bet but feeling blue in the end.

My crazy bet on Leicester to win premier league back in 2015-2016 season is the memorable one. Got a @130 odds when directbet still exist here.

Last time I was placed bet for Belgium vs san Marino for under 6 goals ... where over 4.5 goals have a really low odds @1.15  , I won it easily  Cheesy
2994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap faking volume on: September 11, 2019, 03:46:21 AM

CMC is the industry's best tracking service for market cap and volume but last week Bitwise(a cryptocurrency index fund provider) claimed that CMC is faking most of the exchanges' volume.

Says who?
it is not the best, their web is slow and there are several competitors who are equally good or even better! coinpaprika and coingecko

These sites are not responsible for faking volume but they are responsible for listing those exchanges who do fake volume.
Just because there's several competitors doesn't mean the other is better right? There must be a standard of what we call as "best" and that standard could be anything such as :

1. How popular they are
2. How reliable they are
3. How fast the site performance
4. How the data provided

And many more factors!
So far coinmarketcap is the only one who have almost every factor that people like about.
Even though this negative news hit them they responded politely and fairly as stated in the OP.

Those exchange that faking volume and listed in coinmarketcap does listed in coingecko too , but yeah I would appreciate coingecko who has a trust score feature in it even still beta.
CMC must make a move very soon indeed otherwise people might leaving them.
2995  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip! on: September 10, 2019, 11:24:49 PM
I think it wil take a bit more to actually hit bottom, right now we are not at the bottom if you ask me. It may go up from here I am not arguing against that, we may hit again 13k+ one more time and if you want to buy it than go ahead and do it but that doesn't mean we will definitely just keep going up, it will definitely go down and that is why I honestly think it is not worth buying right now with plans for year long holding.

If you want to do day trading and get a quick profit you can try your hand (no guarantees) but I feel like waiting for an increase and than the next dump where price goes even lower would be a better price to buy. After that I feel like its turn to go up really high, not like 20k but at least 12k which is why I will wait for an increase than decrease to buy next time.
There's nothing to do but keep buying in every occasions to get your dip , as you might will find that rising period longer than the down to dip ... indeed you need to be patient at this stage.

The more dip order executed , the more profit doubled or even quadrupled once it's begin rising... that's the beauty of buying the dips!
In reality peoples are panic in that stage, so once it is  down automatically people are move to some other platform. I think day traders only active in all the stage and some peoples are brilliantly plan the future earning. This year everyone saw the good growing on crypto market so all are willing to participate on upcoming days.
Naaah , that's why you need a good money management... so you won't get busted early or get panicked to sell it immediately.

As this kind trading strategy requires a really patient attitude... trading against the market trends always quite challenging and triggering adrenaline, just make sure you are using the money that you can afford to lose here Grin

Otherwise this "buy every dip" would ended up with a huge loss and extremely frustrating.
2996  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade war Influences on cryptocurrency on: September 10, 2019, 10:43:48 PM
If the trade war gets messy, traders will have to short the USD and save their money by investing in something that is more valuable and that won't be affected by the USA-China trade war. Some fund definitely will flow to bitcoin and this will bring more liquidity to the market. We can't be too sure about this, but people will certainly avoid fiat as much as they can.
If they have to avoid fiat then they will choose gold instead of cryptocurrency that well known as a high volatile and high risk in it to lose value.

It's indeed there might fund flow to crypto with the situation getting heated especially for Chinese and US investors itself , still as you can see by these days there's no a high push in the market to bring a bull sign.

Which means... nothing really influenced by the trade war over the cryptocurrency space, but people trying hard to relate these two stuff.
2997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: September 10, 2019, 10:13:37 PM
A lot of easy games to make money tonight or you think we will hit some surprise as is always the case with these Euro events.I think by parlaying Serbia,Turkey,England and Portugal the odd is almost 2 and these looks like very easy wins on paper.I am trying this one tonight with little money although I know these are played with a lot of money.
That was really easy money 😁
They are all won the match with 2 goals margin at least ,  there's no surprise happened. Just a goal galore in England against Kosovo with 8 goals scored in the match , pretty sure it was entertaining especially when England left behind first at the 1st minute of the game.

It seems England become the favorite one to win this tournament at the moment hmmm , looking for a good odds on this .

I'm looking for users that will get 20 posts per week minimum. You will now need to make 20 quality posts in a week with 5 of those being in gambling sections to qualify for pay.

Sorry yahoo i might wrong or misunderstand here but can you elaborate which part of the rules mentioned altcoin ann (tokens thread) will not counted ?
As per my understanding , bounty threads it is.

However thanks for your work yahoo, i will just accept whatever rules that it's best for the campaign, cheers!

EDIT :

okay then copy that , but if you don't mind ... make it bold in the op that any tokens thread will not counted Wink .
3000  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: September 09, 2019, 06:00:33 PM
My source investment earning from airdrop and bounty, I never use my money to trade or invest on IEO or ICOs, always use earning coin from bounty campaign reward and airdrop.

The amount of money collected form airdrops and bounty are not enough. Most of those coins have no value at all. How many times you have collected bounty and those coins remain in your wallet as these are not on any exchanges ?

Although if your budget is tight and you have no money to invest, only then these airdrops and bounty should be used.
That's not true ...
I even started from the bottom, exactly from zero and here I am make a living through trading and some long term investment because of :

1. Do a freelance work
2. Do bounty , especially bug bounty it pays really good

No matter how low as fuck you get paid , as long as you compound all the money we've got into a new investment , you are good to go to start building your own portfolio.
