As a BCT user expressed interest in having BTC-like buttons for altcoins, I decided to make a simple userscript for adding such buttons ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1782017.0), as well as a test plugin, which currently has 2 coins (Litecoin and Dogecoin). Though I could add all coins to the plugin, I feel that it would only clutter up the UI and be essentially useless to the majority of potential users (also anyone interested in creating a masterlist of altcoin buttons shouldn't have many problems doing so, considering it's a single function call). As such I decided to put up a poll with the top coins on Coinmarketcap and see what the community is most interested in. Feel free to vote in the poll or suggest new coins (make sure to give reasons for it). Voting outside the poll (as in expressing your support for a coin without constructive reasoning) will be deleted as it's low quality clutter / borderline ad spam. EDIT 1: Added 2 more coins to the plugin and removed them from the poll.

As I noticed a user express interest in BTC-like buttons for altcoins, I decided: why not make a simple but extendable userscript platform for custom buttons. And I did: Bitcointalk Post Iconizer v0.22
Altcoin plugin v0.1 Features:- Add custom post and PM editing buttons.
- Create your own customized button (plugins) with a single function call.
- Easily install new button plugins (via userscripts)
- Lightweight, uses functions the default buttons already use.
Installation and usage instructions, plugin examples:See the project's repository front page: https://github.com/mprep-btc/Bitcointalk-Post-Iconizer Official plugins:Altcoin Icons v0.2 - 4 coins added to the plugin, feel free to suggest more here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1782028.0. Unimplemented BB Code Icons v0.5 - 4 buttons added allowing the use of BB code that works but didn't have the buttons. Feel free to leave your suggestions, comments or bug reports for the core or plugin(s). I pretty much just threw this together in an evening of tinkering so it's bound to have at least one bug. No, there aren't any and I doubt this'll change any time soon, especially considering how volatile the altcoin world is in terms of which coin is trending at the moment. You could try and dig around Unicode characters for symbols similar to whatever coin you want to represent or just link to small icons (like some do with custom emoticons) in your posts. If you're familiar with Javascript, you could write up a few userscripts, which add additional buttons in the "Post reply" page for quick embedding of such symbols / images. EDIT: Aaand I decided to make a userscript anyway: https://github.com/mprep-btc/Bitcointalk-Post-Iconizer

Added clarification in regards to one of the FAQ questions (as I'm tired of repeating myself in PMs; change highlighted): Q: Do you moderate/delete (possible) FUD, accusations and untrue information? A: No. We don't have enough time to check every single piece of information and verify the validity of the sources. Also, just like scams - too much room for bias and abuse.
However, trolling isn't allowed. If a user is habitually posting obviously false nonsense ("obviously false nonsense" to an outsider, NOT to someone who follows or is involved in the discussion) just to stir up trouble, then it's considered trolling, which is prohibited. Such cases should be thoroughly documented in the report though (There are tons of reports that just say "trolling", but moderators don't have time to look through each user's post).
There are so many rules!
But extortion, blackmail, and mob rule, is fine here. So why care about rules? If you feel someone broke the law, contact your local authorities and file a police report. We're neither judge, nor jury, nor the executioner when it comes to enforcing laws around the world. It could be reasonably argued, thats exactly what Lauda should have done, instead of acting as the threatening executioner. It does seem so, though let's keep this on topic. The ethics of a user's actions should be discussed in it's own topic.
