2981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: July 24, 2020, 07:15:38 AM
Opening betting odds and early favorite is Jones Jr.:
Tyson -105
Jones Jr. -135

I think the odds has already changed.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/joshkatzowitz/2020/07/23/the-mike-tyson-vs-roy-jones-jr-odds-are-in-and-theyre-all-over-the-place/#322b29ff19e2
Quote
According to MyBookie, Tyson is -300, meaning you’d have to bet $300 to win $100. Meanwhile, Jones is +200, which means you’d earn $200 on a $100 wager. BetOnline.ag is in agreement. That sports book has Tyson at -350 and Jones at +275.

Tyson is -300

Jones is +200,

It opened with great odds for both, but now it changed a lot, if you are betting for Tyson, you need to bet 300 to win 100, I think it's not that attractive IMO.
2982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BetKing sponsors kenya football , is it a publicity stunt ? on: July 24, 2020, 06:34:53 AM
Ive been waiting for Jollygood's reaction again on this one.  Cheesy

Hell yeah, he created a thread about betking exposing their scam, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4751127.0... and there are others actually like loyce where his alts also posted in this thread saying that he himself got scam. If there are clear connection of the 2 sites, it would be nice to see some doubts of some posters here will be gone.
2983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 24, 2020, 06:12:18 AM
yeah the wager image you provided is a legend website that still survives and has many users or players, imagine how rich the website developer is, at least a gambling website should be like this and can provide many choices or bonuses that can be claimed every hour and provide opportunities for the players to try.
That gambling site still runs until now, and that is normal if they can get that huge money because we know that many gamblers are still playing on that site. We can claim every hour of the free coins if we don't want to gamble, and they allow us to do that. But we can not expect to get big money from that because the reward will adjust to the bitcoin price.

Not only that, they are in the gambling industry for more than 5 years already, they are one of the pioneers here in crypto gambling industry. And look at their ranking and number of visits, you can tell why they are profitable. https://www.similarweb.com/website/freebitco.in/

2984  Economy / Economics / Re: Rising tensions and effect on global trade on: July 23, 2020, 09:21:35 PM
This has happened similarly between China and the US. The reason is that the political tensions between countries are due to the corona virus that has arisen in their own countries and they are the countries that have prevented viruses the fastest. That's why conspiracy theories suggest that the Chinese government created the virus and caused many countries to resent and retaliate. If the questions are not answered among countries, the economy will probably be in recession in the near future.
Until now we cannot easily testify if this speculation about China is really true because if they are  really prepared about the virus, then there will be no chances that they will face another wave of virus but based on the news, China was hitted another wave of virus. In the end, it's only the Chinese government knows the real reason behind all of these.
2985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens? on: July 23, 2020, 08:49:59 PM
It is riskier to invest in new coins, compared to old coins, even newbies should know this. This doesn't mean it's entirely bad to invest in new coins, but before doing this analyze properly and its not wise to invest hugely in new coins. I normally give time to watch how well a project performs with development before investing big and not otherwise. If you ever follow hype to invest in new coins, without taking into consideration risk management, you will be getting it wrong most likely.
It's always risky to invest in crypto coins but it would be more risky if you end up investing in new coins which you are not really familiar of because of lack of research. Mostly new coins give an impressive price at the start that will attract investors but at the end of the day, they dump their value dramatically. So be careful in investing with new coins and DYOR as much as possible to avoid regrets in the end.
2986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does bounty still kind of worth on 2020? on: July 23, 2020, 12:24:55 PM
We all know that we can get free bucks on these "bounties" since a long time ago. But today, is it still worth it hence there are so many cryptocurrencies like millions of them I i'm correct.
I wonder for you guys who always participate in bounties, I really want to know your portfolio's.

Pls no shitpost here for your signature campaign thing so people know your real opinion.
You can find that out by yourself, so research on bounty projects that came out since January this year and see their results, some are good and some are bad still, Oikos is promising, you can still join I guess, another good one is DIA DeFi from bubbalex
People were generalizing a lot of projects in the same conclusion while the reality if much more different. It looks like OP needs to learn about how to determine a good project too. In fact so many times people got legit project this year.
Bounty campaigns nowadays are totally different compared before but we should be realistic too that it's still profitable even if the rewards are not   so high but atleast we're still making an income. I guess it's just a matter of finding a legit project through a good research and still working hard to end up with quality posts.
2987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sportsbet.io, do you allow the use of VPNs? on: July 23, 2020, 11:00:55 AM
Using VPN to bypass the restriction of the site is not good, you might get enjoy for awhile since sportsbet does not requires KYC but in the long run if you get detected, your account might be lock and worst if you have money on it, you might not be able to withdraw it. It's really up to you if you will take the risk, but at least you know already all the possibilities that your account can be compromise.
2988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 23, 2020, 10:37:45 AM

I don't have more information about it, but my guess, we will be able to watch a live game since it's being air weekdays.

The NBA Premium HD as well is being added at channel One Sports & TV5.

I will watch it at TV five, we are only using a free coverage television channels which has some limited channels. Thankfully TV5 got it and we still have about a week to wait for the games. I hope they will gonna play well after what happened. of course I gonna watch the Lakers and Clippers game. The others will only be available on the other channels I think. Anyway, thanks for sharing it for us. I'm looking forward to watch it with my friends.

I'm not sure you'll be able to watch the Lakers and Clippers game in TV5, it says the coverage will be weekends only but the game schedule of this two is not in weekend. I think i'll just watch through online streaming if possible,

I quick news for us: NBA bubble games will be air on cable channel One Sports during weekdays and on free tv via TV5 during weekends.
2989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominance falling, time to bag in some alts? altcoin party? on: July 22, 2020, 08:45:33 PM
In my opinion we still have to wait till we will see altcoin season again . After my predictions I think altcoin party will be in almost 7-8 months if we check the history of 2017
Let us not jump into a consclusion that altcoins season is here again just because bitcoin dominance is starting to fall. It could not be a good basis after all. Let just wait for another months to observe altcoins price movement and see where will it goes. Remember that this crypto market is very volatile and that we see at the moment might suddenly change the following day so do not be fooled by it.
2990  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any way to out of this insecurity? on: July 22, 2020, 08:22:49 PM
There is no absolute security, we need to be aware that. Every account and wallet can be hacked, just like any bank can be robbed.
However, exchanges and other crypto services can raise the level of security and we also need higher awarness among users to protect themselves. We need to be aware that cyber security is very important, that there are some technical measures that could be implemented and we can also protect our personal and financial data.

Nothing is secure and this is why there are security measures that we can somehow able to use like on-site 2fa and other verification before it can be breached out and as a user then its part of our responsibility
to be active on setting things up since we know that we are storing our funds in.

In all cases, we should really be aware on how possibilities could happen when in talks of hacking incidents thats why just like on what others said that leaving big funds on exchanger or any platforms
is really a bad idea.

Insecurity? get used to it because these circumstances isnt really something new into this crypto world.
I think all things that involve money has always its scammers around no matter what we do. We should face the reality and just get used to it. This is the reason why we should always be responsible with our own accounts not to be steal by other people and always assure its security by not putting all our investments in a single exchanger.
2991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin market continues to gain momentum on: July 22, 2020, 02:35:31 PM
Actually, I think altcoin season has already started. While Bitcoin and top altcoins are in flat, some DeFi coins like LEND and BAND has been growing significantly for the past few months.
CZ once said that this altcoin season will be interesting, and not all altcoins will go up,
only the developing altcoin project will join the party
It's good to hear altcoins season would be very possible this year and those who have invested in it years or months ago will be making huge profits by then but i would be more glad if bitcoin will take the lead because if bitcoin will hit its bull run again, there will be higher chances for potential altcoins to start surging their value and end up in a bull run season.
2992  Economy / Economics / Re: Business / private sector is dead on: July 22, 2020, 02:11:45 PM
The market economy has been and will always be cyclical, there are highs and lows, we are not in the best position at the moment regarding the COVID situation, so I would not say that the private sector is dead. There will still be times when people will be happy to spend his money again
Yes. What is happening today is just the result of covid 19 and for sure, everything will be back to normal again once this pandemic is over. Most of the private sectors nowadays have been very much affected seeing their sales are experiencing decline but this doesn't mean that private businesses are already dead. They are just facing tough times today and they will still be standing again after this pandemic.
2993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest in any cryptocurrencies! on: July 21, 2020, 11:55:48 PM
not everyone will think the same as you, don't invest in crypto for me when understand and have high knowledge about crypto will not hesitate to invest in crypto despite the very high risk because from the year before that many rich people suddenly invested in crypto
In my humble estimation, people must learn everything about the crypto-world, then they can invest in cryptocurrencies. On the other hand lack of knowledge can be the reason for losing money. But if you make it aware, l think there is not any problem and more than that investing in cryptocurrency is the best way for making money in a digitalized world, if you can it.
Investing in cryptocurrency has definitely no guarantees that we will always gain profits but the reality is we often commit mistakes that will lead us into losing of money. But new investors that come in the market have opposite mindset and that they believe that crypto is a get rich quick scheme which is really not true. You can make big money in crypto but you have to work hard for it and even take big risks for it to be possible.
2994  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading guides,books,articles whatever on: July 21, 2020, 07:55:21 PM
In order to learn in trading, you need experience and practice before you become effective in making transactions in the market.

Knowledge comes first and you need to deal with those risks in trading so that you will know how trading works. I read a lot of information here in bitcointalk because I found this forum very precise in giving advice and prior knowledge towards trading. This forum is also an effective medium to learn as they are really giving their own opinions and experience so that you will know what strategies are effective and will work better. Books and videos are effective too, but for me, this forum really what's best for my trading career.
Yes. This forum alone is a good source of essential information that would be very beneficial in trading. But of course reading alone or watching videos are not enough to gain knowledge from trading because everything should be put into action to be an effective trader. Experience is still the best teacher as they say because you will come to know the consequences or advantages of your actions once performed. And you would learned best in trading from the mistakes you commit and definitely learned from them and minimize from doing the same mistakes again.
2995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: July 21, 2020, 07:22:00 PM
Guys stay away from the project "Originate" I saw their bounty thread and the project literally has no value whatsoever to offer investors or users. Their white paper basically consists of a summary of blockchain and cryptocurrency in general terms nothing really unique or proposed by the team so perfect example of a fake project. Do your research, really investigate a project and never deposit your money in the hope of profit, always invest your money where you see future not greed.
Of course this should be the mindset of a wise investor. Never ever trust a project without doing some research that would prove that they are legit. I always make a background check on the team behind the project if they are using their real identities because a fake one would only use other people's identities that are already established so that they can still lure more investors. It would be good also to check their address if they are really residing in there or just using fake one.
2996  Economy / Economics / Re: Interesting perspective of Investors on: July 21, 2020, 06:55:32 PM
It is clear that if it goes above the $10,000 they are all definitely going to sell it. Anyway, even at that, there will still be millions of people willing to buy cryptocurrency. So, people will always be serious with cryptocurrency at anytime. I have seen old investors leave, despite that there are always many new investors who replace them, and there are also old investors that are serious with it and are not ready to leave at anytime, that’s good.

But, anyone that’s planning to keep cryptocurrency as an inheritance without having any plans on how to do that is making a huge mistake. You should have plans on how your family is going to inherit it, if you’re really leaving it for them. I usually see stories about who die and there is now way that their family can have access to their cryptocurrency wallet because they didn’t leave a means to do that.
I never came to the point thinking that i would keep holding my bitcoin even if i die because i believe it will never be an investment all the time since it was created to be a currency. It's good to keep holding our bitcoin while we are still active here but i'm sure i'm gonna sell it no matter what its value when time comes that i'll be facing hard days of my life.
2997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fill your bag with caution on: July 20, 2020, 11:59:26 PM
There have been so many posts on the forum suggesting that it is the right time to fill your bag, I quite agree but then, you need to fill your bag with caution. There are so many projects that are dead already but pretending to be alive using the bear season as an excuse for now. The team behind most of them are just looking for a way to dump on you trying to make you understand that they are working round the clock to develop the project, a project they have all the time to develop in the past but could not, now they want to develop, hmmm, what a way to full the people.

You are damn right, this space is highly unregulated and any wrong investmemt choice will result in huge loss and that's why everyone should be subjective to buy pressure, shillings and FOMO because without thorough research to know if the product a project is developing worth what it's take to be adopted, you will run on a loss if you invest in such a project.... It's not always about investing randomly but rather investing wisely in value addictive projects
Yes. We should be more cautious in choosing projects or coins to invest because if we keep on believing that it's good to fill our bag with different coins and without even making research, we might end up in a huge loss. Keep on DYOR before making such investments so that we can minimize more losses in the future.
2998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It's always about your choice on: July 20, 2020, 11:34:26 PM
I agree with that statement. however, all project power lies with the team. Good bounty managers are those who struggle to get their participants paid for it. however, there are currently several bounty managers like that, who struggle to get their participants paid on time and have clear pay time.
I think that bounty managers can not influence the time of payment. it's all about the team. no matter how good the manager is, he will not be able to make the team pay if the team does not want to do it

Success of the project comes to those who have good working team between the bounty manager and the bounty hunters. It's not only the bounty manager that is responsible for the outcome of the project but it also depends more on how the bounty hunters promote the project. So if the project also fails, bounty managers and its participating team are also reliable for it.
2999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in a wrong way on: July 17, 2020, 05:28:42 PM
In every type of investments there’s always a risk, investing in crypto is no difference consider it a double risk if you fail to understand where your putting your money is. As much as possible investors should learn how to diversify portfolio and not only focus on few investments.
Understanding and having a full knowledge on the investment you want to make is the very first thing to do before taking such investments. Although investing into crypto has a high risks, but if you are aware on the project or platform where you are putting your money makes the risks lessen. And never focus on a single investment of course, because if that single invetment fails, your whole world will surely collapse too. Take some time to diversify your portfolio and still DYOR before doing it.
3000  Other / Off-topic / Re: The New Normal on: July 17, 2020, 04:52:56 PM
Exactly that's what I wanted to created a thread about it. The situation you just said about it and called it normal is a new situation for everyone in all over the world. Firstly, we can't be sure if there will be any cure for covid-19. Also, even if there is a cure or vaccine the world after covid-19 period will be never same as the world before it. The new normal is the new normal in economy and healthcare. Everything would change a lot. However, theoretically, the world is changing everyday by facing the new stuff happen on it but this crisis is a deal and going to change lives much more than everyone can expect of it.
This new normal situation is definitely a life changing for everyone because we cannot live anymore what we used to do. There are certain changes that have made our lives better just like staying at home often when we don't have necessary things to do outside. Although our lives keep on changing every now and then, but this pandemic forced us to develop new positive things that will make our lives better.
