My greatest fear that I encountered since I started to hold bitcoin is the low rate or the negative fluctuation of bitcoin value because in this past months of 2017 I encountered the shocking dropped of its value, when China banned bitcoin in there country I taught in that time that I will loss my money because of that event, but later on bitcoin stay again to fluctuate normally, and it give me hope again to hold my bitcoin longer until it reach my satisfaction price which is 30,000 USD. Bitcoin is one of the most stronger in this time and I think many banks will try to destroy it, there are many scenario that it might happen on bitcoin and I'm very excited to find it out.

I guess the OP will not wonder why his account will get banned from the forum anymore  Grin.

Why do not we send a email to user stating the reason of  ban, At least it will save a thread on Meta, Rework of other moderator to find again why the user was banned.

I will suggest , if user is banned or suspended it should be put in user  profile. So that everyone should be aware that user is banned now and take lesson that they should avoid activities that can cause ban.
Well, that's not the problem of the moderators. It is just proper etiquette that people should not plagiarize and it's okay that they don't put a ban information to the user profile and let others be aware of it so that we could ban more people that are only plagiarizing.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: PNB looks into use of bitcoin! on: March 11, 2018, 06:20:33 AM
Seeing the stand of our banking institution on Bitcoin, it would seem that we should be expecting a fair and just regulation about the usage of cryptocurrencies in our country. This would be without a doubt, help spread awareness about crypto to my fellow countrymen thus resulting to affect the price of Bitcoin in a way.
303  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk in a mobile app. on: March 10, 2018, 07:17:53 AM
Currently I am in the situation in which I have to used my phone on posting most of the time. And it is indeed pretty though. Especially if you need to quote multiple posts.

Guys - relax.

There will be no mobile app until we move to the new forum.  Why make an app for this old outdated software?

Agree, but an app is of course another platform so basically it is not that the app is intended for this old platform since both are independent programs. Tho I have seen the new forum that you were talking and it is mobile responsive so making an app is not necessary.
Yeah and it is really hard to browse different topics on the forum, you have to go back to the main page to do so and switching to different tabs in the mobile is kinda annoying to me in a way.

I really dont think it that way because its your own responsibility to keep your own things into safety, and if you're just some lazy careless dude and that will be your own problem not for the other members here in the community.
You are right. But I guess you know yourself how this section is full of threads "help, my account is hacked/stolen". I just supposed that with that app the number of such threads will only increase.
Possibly but if the app will function the same as like you are also browsing on your computer, then I guess it would not create such topics.
304  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard on: March 10, 2018, 05:44:01 AM
Wouldn't it be better if you do both? I mean, working smart is not appropriate to all situations you are in. Not all jobs require you to only be smart, you still have to work hard to attain the result you desire. Let's say for example in cryptocurrencies, you are working smart by doing your own research about ICOs so that you could prevent being scammed or losing your money and at the same time you are working hard because you are putting much effort in every research you make. It would be nice if you could adjust to every situation you encounter.
305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why did I lose on trade ?? on: March 09, 2018, 05:43:42 AM
There is only one reason why some people lose in trading. It is the so called panic buying and panic selling. Panic buying is buying bitcoin in time which they think that it is the lowest price of bitcoin that could ever be. And Panic selling is the time which they think that it is the heist prize of bitcoin that could ever be. Well we have different techniques in setting standards or goals in buying and selling of bitcoin. What can I suggest is to back to the basic techniques first in order not to lose on trading. Do studying first, read some articles, books and watch video clips to help to improve your trading skills.
I think people loss in trading because they do wrong decision and maybe they really didn't have enough experience on the trading feild. Everything has a right time if we are not really do not know how to do such gaining process maybe we should do such searching or maybe asking to those who are expert on the trading feild for good, and maybe for us to learn basic on it before we do action or decide to trade.
Well, that is what everyone should be doing before getting started in the trading industry.  DYOR to prevent such losses. But losing money in trading in really not a bad thing, this experience will help you to be more cautious next time and earn profits you deserve. I just hope the OP learned his lesson and take this to his account that he will not make the same mistakes again.
306  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather see steady growth in Bitcoin or strong upward spikes instead? on: March 06, 2018, 06:52:06 AM
I would prefer a steady growth in Bitcoin's price rather than strong upward spikes. I feel like if there is a sudden spike in the price, a sudden downward movement will follow. It is possible that we can see more stable price in the market if we would prefer a steady growth.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like airdrops? on: March 05, 2018, 04:49:59 PM
Naahh! I'm practically against airdrops right now as most of the airdrops that I joined when I was still a newbie are all scams like they don't even give the coin on the date they promised to. In fact, I didn't even receive a single one since I started doing airdrops except for POStoken, but it is different like any common airdrops out there. Plus, joining airdrops is risky because you always give you Eth address, chances are you might give your private key by mistake. I know some that did just that and their wallets has been wiped out.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rewards for holding on: March 05, 2018, 04:45:32 PM
If you don't want to try out the top 20 coins listed in the coinmarketcap.com then you ought to try other coins that have huge potentials too. Try joining different telegram channel of different ICOs then gather data through whatever informations the admins are saying there and DYOR to confirm those claims.
If you want me to suggest some coin, try SALpay, I don't want to go into full details so you need to DYOR as I said but, probably next week, they would start doing their big plans for the coin like they are buying coins from the public worth $5-10M that in result would make the value of the coin higher in the market.
309  Other / Meta / Re: Is merit system can be manipulated? on: March 05, 2018, 02:41:44 PM
As i am reading comments in the forum, i saw an account with 3 activities and a 100+ merits. Im curious how he/she get that. I dont know if he/she had a backer or what. Is merit can be manipulated? Im not saying that he/she manipulated it but i dont know just my instinct.
Did you look at his/her posts? You should've done that first before thinking that way. There is also someone that I know in the forum which is still a member but he has merits over 500+ if I'm correct and I must say, he deserves those merits.

Merits can be manipulated in a way where you have an Alt account that is high-ranking, you can give merits to your other accounts. That's called merit farming but a lot of those users are getting banned because it's unethical to do such things.
310  Other / Meta / Re: Too many duplicate new posts, can they be classified? on: March 04, 2018, 01:25:19 PM
Simply report those thread using the "Report to Moderator" link found on the lower right corner of the OP. Having redundant threads create more spam flood. We cannot really stop people for doing so but we can constantly report them to help the Moderators to clean up this forum.

A better approach is to tell the person making the similar post that a similar thread exists, give them a link to that original thread, and ask them to lock the thread they created. Put this message in a post so others can see it and direct their comments to the original thread, rather than the repeat.

It is always like this in the forum especially when there are new members in the forum. Most of them are lazy to do some research first about their questions and in result, they would create similar posts that are already in the forum. In some threads that I see has a similar topic, I always comment that there is already a similar one but as you can see, nothing is happening.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines is starting to accept bitcoin. on: March 04, 2018, 10:04:47 AM
Our country just recently held a seminar introducing bitcoin in our country. The said seminar were facilitated
by bitcoin experts and government officials in pursuit of using bitcoin as another form of payment and regulation of it as well.

http://www.wheninmanila.com/5-things-i-learned-about-bitcoin-and-cryptocurrency/
It has also come to my knowledge that my recent campaign will established an exchange here in the Philippines at the same time in Singapore. I've read it several times in the telegram channel of the ICO I was pertaining to.
It's good to know that Bitcoin are becoming more and more popular in the Philippines.
312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who we are? on: March 04, 2018, 05:30:31 AM
Hi there! I'm just new on the cryptocurrency world. I'm just randomly reading some post to enlighten me more on how cryptocurrency works. I found this thread and made my mind a little bit clearer on how this goes. So basically, just hold it for a while then when the time comes it goes on higher price right?
Well, it basically depends on what cryptocurrency you are holding on. If it is Bitcoin, then yeah sure hold it for some time and its price will surely increase then if you feel like selling it, that would be the perfect time to make some good profits.

For other cryptocurrencies(Alt coins), most of them mainly depend on how the price of bitcoin goes so for instance that Bitcoin's price is falling, expect the market to be red also.
313  Other / Meta / Re: Ranking System on: March 03, 2018, 11:44:58 AM
According to my Activity and posts my rank should be Full Member by now but it is still Member. I know that Merit system is also implemented now but it will make almost impossible for me and thousands like me to advance to next rank. I hope there will some options for me and many members like me.

The best way is to take back this merit system and simply democratize the forum another way is to start a poll where members can vote in favor or against this system and the results should be implemented.
We don't need to start a poll for the merit system, you know full well how it will go. Many will be against it because there are really a lot of shitposters in this forum that are having a hard time ranking up.

Make worthwhile posts that bring about quality discussion. Pretty solid option.

Well that is the problem. They can't make such quality and they are bitching about how hard it is to rank up. Anyways, as what Saltyspitoon says, put effort and thought to your post and for sure you will gain enough merits to rank up.
314  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirement for Member Proposal on: March 02, 2018, 05:33:30 PM
Just increase the amount of quality posts you make to increase your odds.
Precisely! Most members here don't realize that because when they try to make a really good post and put a lot of effort in it, they expect their post to get merited in no time, not thinking that there are a lot of factors why his/her post would not get any. There is a big possibility that their post got flooded by new replies and people that might find it helpful and merit worthy missed it. So, for better chances of posts getting merited, increase the amount of that kind.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we share our knowledge to the other people about bitcoin??? on: March 01, 2018, 05:03:58 PM
Hello everyone!!!

What can you say about it??  Can you share some tips or some things that might help other people with this??
yes,we should share our knowledge about bitcoin to other people so that they can easily understand what is digital currency  all about especially bitcoin,we can share them by expaining how bitcoin works and tell them how beneficial is bitcoin to us and encourage them to invest or join bitcoin.
It may be better if we don't explain them the whole thing and let them do their own research. That way, they will not be too dependent on other's explanation about something and will make an effort to do an actual research to answer their questions. It is okay to tell them and spread awareness about cryptocurrencies but that how far we should go for them. Don't go spoon-feeding them guys.
316  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: day trading effective? on: March 01, 2018, 12:40:34 PM
It will be effective if you know how to really day trade basically. Even if the market is red doesn't mean it is not a good time to do day trading. Not all coins are getting dumped, find coins that has a potential to pump base on its price movement on the market.

so i ask for people in this forum who day trade?
effective for profits,
?

I'm not a fan of day trading because I feel it is almost same as gambling. I believe that in gambling only luck is very important to make money than a knowledge so I don't go for quick profits from day-trading.

If you will learn how to day trade properly, then those quick profits would turn into huge profits in no time. You need skills in this field unlike in gambling, you mostly need luck to earn profits.

317  Other / Meta / Re: Merits all over the meta on: March 01, 2018, 12:15:39 PM
Yes. I find it tiring. Too many posts about merit. That tells me this new system is good for the forum. Too many spammers pissed off about it and some of them trying to cheat the system, but overall it serves to improve the forum without being a too drastic measure.
Those spammers that are pissed off about this new implemented system adds up to those people who are creating the same thread about merits over and over again.

Why majority of the post here is about merits??  I know that this category discusses about the forum but ALMOST the topics posted is about merits. Is this now the merit discussion? Repeating topics should be deleted or merge
The merit system just got implemented recently and a lot of low ranking members are taken aback by this system so they are throwing tantrums about it because they can't farm accounts anymore and it will be hard for them to rank up because they are shit posters in nature. lol

319  Other / Meta / Re: merit is GARBAGE on: February 27, 2018, 03:35:28 PM
WTF? is this a benefit of merit system?
Such garbage comments get merit, whereas many comments are very useful but do not get any merit.
please answer.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375643.msg4023047#msg4023047

Would you rather have your posts merited than the one you linked up to? Base on your post history, yours is what we call garbage posts. You mainly posts on the Off-Topic board which has really no relevance to Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies and it just shows how clueless you are about how this forum works.
Better start staying on threads that really matter so that you will realize why such comments even get merited.
320  Other / Meta / Re: Merit rewards for Signature Campaigns! on: February 23, 2018, 04:00:15 PM
This is really a good idea if only Campaign managers have enough sMerits to give to signature campaign participants. It will be a really good basis before accepting new participants for a CM to his/her campaign.
