301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple is going to ? on: November 24, 2018, 12:00:10 AM
Ripple was immune to this bear market for a while but now it is going down like all the others. It fought well but in the end the bears ate it up and dumped it out. it will probably do well next year assuming that crypto actually recovers
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Speculation - Spectrecoin (XSPEC) on: November 23, 2018, 11:58:22 PM
After all this time Spectrecoin has not progressed up the coinmarketcap rankings. I don't know what the issue is, the technology appears to be there but people are not moving away from reputable brands like monero. XSPEC needs better marketing
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened to DASH on: November 23, 2018, 11:55:36 PM
DASH used to be the number 1 privacy coin but I read that they are having management issues so the community lost faith and dumped it. Monero has not lost any ground so they are at the tail end of the top 10. It is possible that DASH will retake it's crown but not any time soon
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ADA have the chance to hit $50 in the next five years? on: November 21, 2018, 06:48:57 PM
Although cardano is a great investment it won't go anywhere near $50 due to the massive supply of coins, but that should not put investors off. They are very ambitious and as ethereum declines ADA will move up and take it's place.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: hard dump=hard bounce? on: November 21, 2018, 06:46:41 PM
Last time I checked ethereum was $130 and didn't show any signs of recovery. I think that it will go down even further, close to $100 where the buy support is before rebounding back a little. Too many dumpers in ETH means it will not recover as well as bitcoin
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dont panic ! small marketcap = big profit after pumps. speculation ! on: November 21, 2018, 06:44:54 PM
Its is normal for the market to lose 90% before a massive bounce back, just look at the figures from before and you will see the same thing over and over again. The next one is going to be so massive that anyone buying now is going to be super rich by hodling a few years
307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason Why BTC will Dump to 2.5K$ on: November 18, 2018, 11:46:30 AM
There is a benefit of going down to 2,500 which is for a wider distribution of bitcoins. Many others will see it as a good entry price, especially those in poorer countries that now rely on bitcoin e.g. Venezuela.
308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going to either $10k or $3k by the end of 2018 on: November 18, 2018, 11:41:19 AM
These are make or break figures for bitcoin, I doubt it will go that low but if it does then the road to recovery is going to be a really long one. People will see it as a failed experiment and it will take a lot of persuasion to get them back in again
309  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are Bitcoin Cash overlords selling their BTC stashes? on: November 18, 2018, 11:37:34 AM
The price of bitcoin cash has also plummeted so their plans have not been overly successful. Creating a new coin out of nothing was a great achievement so from a greed aspect they done well for themselves, but they never toppled BTC
310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tom Lee lowered his prediction to $15k hehehe on: November 18, 2018, 11:34:41 AM
I believe he is right, especially by stating that it never sustained a price below break even. Miners will simply stop their operations eventually and the number of bitcoins entering the market will be reduced. It should be priced at no less than $7k by the end of 2018
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SONM • Decentralized Fog Computing on: November 18, 2018, 11:20:06 AM
So for SONM OS all we need is a standard windows PC, format the disk and erase everything, and then rebuild with SONM OS. From this point that PC will be used on the SONM network and it will start to collect SONM tokens?
haven't tried sonm os yet, but you can dual boot windows and sonm os i guess. you might also have to do some configuration which shouldn't be hard to do.

I was thinking that most of us will have an old PC lying around which is sitting in a cupboard doing nothing, or even an old laptop. Could that be upgraded and used as a sonm generator or does it need some kind of special configuration and meet minimum spec?
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make profit by buying stablecoins on: November 17, 2018, 11:10:34 AM
The only way to profit from stable coins is to accumulate as many as possible. Invest in a coin that is pumping, then move the profits into a stable coin. Switch to a different coin that pumps and move those profits to a stable coin. Only problem is finding a coin that is pumping!
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SUMO] SUMOKOIN - Digital Cash For Highly-Confidential Transactions 🔏 (MOD) on: November 17, 2018, 11:06:20 AM
The web wallet from Monero is supported by one of their main developers which gives it more trust. Will the web wallet here come directly from sumokoin or is it something outsourced to an external company?
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: November 17, 2018, 11:03:32 AM
Ethereum classic is still listed on the biggest exchanges like COINBASE so when the bull market returns there will a huge rebound. People will buy it from everywhere that they prefer to trade from which is why top coins do better than the ones that only list on one mid sized exchange.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (QTUM) - A Scalable PoS Smart Contract Platform - MainNet Complete! on: November 17, 2018, 11:00:28 AM
Earlier this year, I bought this coin as a long-term investment. Despite the fact that the market has gone down very much and this coin has fallen in price, I still believe in this project.

One thing that attracted me is not just the technology but the fact that QTUM has fallen more than most other coins which means the rebound should be strong when the market returns. Not just double or triple gains, but more like 10x in hopefully a few months from now

317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-SALE] THEKEY -- UNLOCK THE FUTURE on: November 17, 2018, 10:50:18 AM
THEKEY Exhibited Blockchain Solution for Multi-dimensional Elderly Survival Authentication in the 5th World Internet Conference

https://www.ccn.com/thekey-exhibited-blockchain-solution-for-multi-dimensional-elderly-survival-authentication-in-the-5th-world-internet-conference/

Always good to see a real wold use for crypto. Hopefully this will be adopted by one of the provinces is China and THEKEY will get pumping again. Although I am surprised that it is still not listed in Binance, but at least Kucoin is a great exchange to use
318  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-08] Are We Approaching ‘Big Money’ in Cryptocurrency Market? on: November 12, 2018, 06:50:54 PM
Banks are useful as a safe and easy way to manage money, but in crypto there is anonymity surrounding the companies and not a lot of responsibility. This makes people weary about trusting new companies claiming to keep your crypto coins safe
319  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-12] Coinatory: Bitcoin Cash, The Fake Bitcoin: what to expect from ... on: November 12, 2018, 06:47:16 PM
All they seem to do is keep creating money from thin air. They fork a coin and tell the world how great it is, then they get double profits because the original coin pumped and then there is the new one as well!
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sony develops blockchain solution on: November 12, 2018, 06:43:28 PM
This is good and bad news. The technology will survive which means that bitcoin in theory should also do well, but for ICO's offering a service it is not that good. When a company needs something they will create it themselves rather than source an ICO company offering it as a service
