301  Economy / Services / CPA/Tax Preparer on: January 04, 2015, 04:21:43 AM
For those looking for an outstanding CPA/tax-preparer who understands bitcoin income, trading and/or mining, I highly recommend Justin Krachmalnick, C.P.A., at Massie, Fudemberg and Goldberg, LLC.  He's up to date on the ever evolving regulatory landscape, and spends lots of time with your case (for a flat rate) including future planning.  This is my second year working with Justin. He accepts BTC

302  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC, XDG on: December 21, 2014, 06:19:45 PM
When is Kraken going to become a Stellar gateway - ie. where you can transfer BTC to Stellar in the same way that you can transfer BTC to Ripple with Bitstamp? Now that would be an excellent addition.

Agreed - I don't have an ETA for this though, sorry.

Multiple Choice:  Professionalism?
A: Notify users IN ADVANCE that if they depo or withdraw, their funds will be inaccessible INDEFINATELY.
B: Give users flashbacks to Nam/Gox by informing them, only after fact, that their funds will be inaccessible for the indefinite future.

Hint: the answer is not B.

Dear Kraken, ripple withdraw again hold on sending, since your wallets empty. Do you for several mouth can't change your withdraw system so coins from users wallet would automatically move on hot wallet to use for withdraw? Or problem deeply like lacking of coins? Weekends tomorrow and you will again hold millions ripples till monday?

The transaction should be failed now and the funds credited back to your account. The ripple gateway is being rebuilt and should be finished soon (hopefully within a week or so). We use more than one hot wallet and the issue has to do with the system not alway switching to a new wallet correctly. Sorry for the problems you've been having - ripple payments should be much more reliable when the new gateway is enabled.

Yeah i'm stuck on xrp incoming.  My depo is not registering. no reply yet from support. Any chance of getting this resolved sooner rather than later?

Ok but now everyone has everyone's email addresses and the spam is surely forthcoming.
305  Economy / Securities / Re: [CRYPTO-TRADE] Crypto-trade.com IPO and official thread! on: August 10, 2014, 05:55:31 PM
Bad move crypto-trade!  you included everyone's email address in your last group email, and now we're getting spammed to death.
306  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-06-25] BTC Mag: New Hive wallet for Litecoin and Bitcoin on: June 28, 2014, 02:34:49 AM
i just attempted a test of the hive wallet for OS.  it generated a seed and then gave me error messages when i tried to enter my new pin.

Whoops!
{"status":500,"name":"error","message":"InvalidStateError"}

So not working for me anyway.

He means the FULL order book and market data. Not just the data that the exchange finds "most relevant".  To me as a market maker the relevant market data includes much more than the first 15 orders on each side.
308  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 【LakeBTC.com】Bitcoin Exchange on: June 26, 2014, 04:58:44 PM
The bitcoincharts feed went black again.  Says on bitcoincharts you have the 4th highest btc/usd trading volume. but the orderbook on your exchange looks rather thin.  Can you explain the discrepancy?

UPDATE:  the feed to bitcoincharts seems to have stopped working 4 days ago on june 22.  Is there any place where we can see the full orderbook for BTC/USD?  it's not on the exchange website surprisingly.

I don't see any customer support buttons or email addresses listed on the site.  Is customer support the gmail address that you guys use for the verification process? And how secure is your gmail account for handling everyone's personal identification information?

Will,
I don't see dividends or shares in my cryptomex account.  Am i supposed to somehow link it to my icedrill.io account, where i do see my shares?  I went back through your posts and i don't see the answer.

I confirmed/signed from my bitcoin address for the digimex website (and did all the google authen stuff which screwed up my ability to access my email on my phone), then i signed up cryptomex and still i can't see any dividends?   Can anyone tell me what i still need to do to see and access my dividend dust?  Would be grateful. thanks

You guys got dividends? Wow.  I looked at both the cryptomex site and the Petamex website and i don't see anything that makes any sense. Defnitely no dividends.  Maybe mine are too small to see.  Where are they supposed to be be?
314  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: June 02, 2014, 03:39:04 AM
Yes, icedrill investors have been locked into a shitty situation for a very long time. you can't even sell your crap now without giving them more of yourself (and even then you still can't sell your crap).  Hasn't the issuer been in breach of contract for over six months now. I smell a class action lawsuit on this one.  Nobody is getting what they bought.

Just got it.  Thanks Dargo, and Joe over at support.

The good news is that my ripples (close to 1/2 million)  finally showed up at my kraken account.  I immediately attempted to withdraw.  The bad news is that that was three hours ago, and my ripples never returned home.  So that's three days without access to my funds.  Guess i need another ticket, since my missing deposit has now turned into a missing withdrawal.

Just bought a roundtrip Kuala Lumpur to Chicago on cheapair using bitcoin.  Totally smooth, but the only thing i noticed was that they charged me $60 worth of btc over the USD price.

edit: i bought it from the u.s.
